Replacement Camera
I guess the only option available is Moto Service Centre. They replace genuine parts, but price is little high.

So why the genuine glass cover got scratches? I have personally ordered replacement glass from Amazon.in for about Rs. 400 and it is much better than stock glass.
If you want to spend more like Rs. 1200-1500 go for a service centre repair.

This one should fit you right

Cleaning glass with petrol with a bit rough cloth will solve the purpose easily....I did for mine....
It actually cleans the oleophobic coating...

Hello everyone,
I had the same problem of blurry camera it was caused due to scratches on the oleophobic coating on the camera lens.
I would not recommend you to replace lens (if u want u can get it on Amazon for around 200-250rs in India) as replacement lens might have the same problem of scratches after some time.
Instead I had used rust removal paste to get rid of scratches. After using it my camera is Crystal clear. Before that I had tried using pepsodent toothpaste it didn't work. I even tried sharp object to scrape the coating it didn't work. So the best solution to the problem is to use rust removal paste with tissue paper or cloth to rub over the lens within one minute all scratches disappear.
Hit the thanks if my solution worked for u.

htc hero replacement housing ?

i need to do a replacement housing on my white hero.... want to change it to pink.... is it hard to do ? all i need is like changing front cover.... how to do ?
It's not so hard to do, but you need to remove the touch windows from the front cover. the glass is glued and you have to heat it to soften the glue.
you can find many video on youtube
Where have you find the housing?

The housing in the link is OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), i think the quality it's the same of the original one.
If you see the picture, all the black part in the front pannel, is the glue.
so i dont need to glue it ? =/

so do i need to buy glue ? XD or does the housing include ?XD how big chance will i break the touchscreen ? is it safe to use the oven or hairdryer ?
its not glue exactly. its a double sided sticky tape which is already attached to the housing.
when you remove the glass front from your old housing, you reattach it to the new one using the tape that is already applied.
so no, you dont buy glue. id think if you did try to glue it yourself, youd royally mess it up
i wouldnt put it in an oven myself. hairdryer it for a few mins, gently pushing the glass out until it loosens up enough.

[Q] Glass Lens Break

Hi guys,
I have break the glass of my xt910 and i search to replace it.
On internet i found 2 type of replacement parts, one type with lcd/digitizer and glass lens for ~100$ and the other with just glass lens for ~30$.
My LCD and my digitizer work fine so i don't want to buy useless things but on video that i watch where a guy disassemble a razr. At the end, they have just the part with lcd/digitizer and glass lens and they don't go far away.
So i want to know if i can just buy a glass lens and replace just this part on my razr.
I post you a photo of my smartphone.
Thanks and sry for english this is not my native language.

I think you should get a Glass+Digitizer, its available in ebay from China sellers for around 85$. Because in most devices removing glass from digitizer will be a tough task!!

I see a tuto with a air dryer. For 70$ im ready to test this solution.
Thank you
Anyone else ?
Not sure if you went through with it, but I'd advise against it. I was about to do this with my old Razr and we backed out. The digitizer and screen are fuzed together so separating them is really difficult without cracking the actual screen (I've heard it's actually impossible).

Not possible?!
Hello,
Just for i have tried on a discarded set of lcd/digitizer and it is not possible.
Reason being that the digitizer is "glued" with a thin layer of silicone to the lcd's polarization glass. At the first attempt, armed with a heatgun the silicone got stuck to the razorblade. Now for the second attempt I left the assembled unit in the freezer to see if the silicone will release its grip on the polarization glass a bit easier. And that didn't work either

I take it you are referring to the separation of the LCD from the digitizer?
If so, do you have a link to a guide? Got a smashed digitizer but perfectly working LCD. Not keen on sending to Sony as they'll probably want to charge £200 to replace the full LCD/digitizer set and I can get a new digitizer for £46 off eBay.

Broken Rear Glass

Hello everybody, i broke my Z2's rear glass and i want to know if anybody already replaced it. Is it easy to replace? Can i find a spare glass at ebay/DX/aliexpress?
Thanks.
Yes for example here here is a glass together with adhesive sticker
http://m.ebay.com/itm/141401106712?nav=SEARCH
And Here is a video tutorial on how to replace it. Doesnt matter if the video is for z1 the procedure is the same
http://youtu.be/Io9jHfs6z94
And if you ask:
what if you dont have a heat gun...you can do it with a hair dryer i am sure you have one i also done this with a hair dryer.
And of course next time post in Q & A section you will get response quicker.
Beware as most of those rear glasses are fake, copies
The real ones are from Germany and I think Italy, with nfc

Is it possible to replace the plastic back cover and camra lens?

So I ran my f1 without any covers because none were available where I live when I first bought it and the free is get disgustingly dirty after minimal use. I was going down a slope and the phone fell from jackets pocket and got dragged 4 meters down on the concrete. The Plastic back is completely annihilated and the upper part of the camera lens is broken. the camera still takes photos but they all have fogginess in them. the side got damaged but the screen is intact.
is it possible to get a replacement for the damaged part? at least for the back. And is it better to try and do it myself (I have some experience) or find a way to send it to an official branch for them to do it? I bought it from a 3rd party online retailer so I doubt the warranty will have any weight here.
yes.there are many videos showing how to do it on youtube

I'm yet to see anything about replacing the camera lens, I could replace the entire model I guess but that'll probably cost a ton.

You can try this.
you can replace the housing easily.
downside is, you cant find a rear housing with the flash cover ..almost all of them on aliexpress, ebay, gearbest DO NOT have the flash cover. they have camera lens cover, but not the flash cover which is kinda strange.
