[Guid] Increase battery backup on custom roms - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi,
On Resurrection Remix rom there is an app called Kernel Adiutor where you can tweak CPU and all other kernel based settings.
So this instruction is based on RR rom, but i think it is applicable to all other custom roms which Kernel Adiutor can be installed on them. install Kernel Adiutor and please report back if it was successful or not.
Steps:
- Open up Kernel Adiutor and from the sidebar, goto CPU.
- Find "CPU Governor" and set it on "powersave". (see screenshot)
- Scroll down and turn on "Schedule workqueueson awake CPUs to save power". (see screenshot)
- Scroll to the top of the screen and turn on "Apply on boot".
Hint: Make sure "CPU Governor" is set to "powersave" in both LITTLE and BIG sections.

These tweaks will decrease CPU performance but it's not sensible if you are a normal user which only does multi tasking between Messaging apps and none-resource-eating games.
A little FPS decrease observed during playing COC, but it is neglectable and does not affect your gaming.
Doing this tweak will buy you 10-15% of more battery juice resulting in +1 hour of SOT.
Please report back if you were successful with gaining better battery backup or could run Kernel Adiutor on other custom roms than RR.

Automounting of NTFS volumes for USB sticks (ntfs on external card is not supported). although your rom says "clear storage", just check /mnt/usb folder. ntfs drives will be automatically mounted in read-only mode.
LZOP compression for the kernel to have very fast decompression. We have a VERY BIG kernel image because we have ntfs-3g, CWMManager and lots of other things both in initramfs and payload.

Who Should NOT Use This Kernel?
If you are going to use very low voltage settings and complain about having lockups, you SHOULD NEVER use this kernel... just run away! This kernel is just as stable as the stock kernel if you do not modify any settings. Do not blame the kernel if you change the voltage or clock settings. If you do so I will blame your stupidity. I will not remove any feature just because some dumb users select wrong settings. If you are a rookie with an uncontrollable instinct of modifying advanced settings please use speedmod or stock kernel.
This kernel generally contain some experimental code and some of them may be even undocumented. I have different release strategy. I always use the latest version and if I notice any problem I try to fix it. However, I do not use all the features of the phone. So, if you notice any problem please report it. bug reports are welcomed, whining is not.
If you judge a kernel by quadrant score, please, I beg you, don't use this kernel. I don't have enough time nor motivation to answer your questions... Some people got 8000+ quadrant (search the thread) and there is no way you can beat them anyway.. so, go away...
If you are one of those who judges a kernel while sleeping ("oh my god!! lost %1 during sleep"-guy) please use another kernel, sleep and never wake up. it will maximize your battery and minimize the tension in the thread.
If you still believe in battery calibration, discuss it in some thread else. we respect all religions but missionary acts are not welcomed in this thread.
99.9% of the code belong to others. I have some modifications and/or additions to the kernel as C code or scripts but they are so little compared to the original code base. If you think you are better developer than I am, don't waste your time (and mine) as I accept it beforehand so please just go away.

Q: Does this kernel support Samsung's ICS leak, CM9 or any ICS edition?
A: No, it does not.
Q: Does this kernel support latest Samsung i9100 ROM?
A: Yes, it does. Unless otherwise stated, you can use this kernel on latest Samsung ROMs (official and leaks). it is tested on 2.3.4, 2.3.5, 2.3.6.
Q: Can I use this kernel on I9100G?
A: No, you cannot. Only european i9100 models are supported. Also, I compile ntt-docomo version for each release but beta versions do not support gps and digital tv on ntt-docomo devices.
Q: Does this kernel support CM7 or any other AOSP based roms?
A: Yes, but it only support cm7 or miui based roms for now. If you are using another aosp based Rom tell me and I will support it.
Q: Can I use app protectors with this kernel?
A: Yes, you can. Android logger is enabled by default.
Q: Some custom lockscreens or protectors do not work with this kernel. Can you fix it?
A: see the question above.
Q: What is smartassV2 governor?
A: It is a governor to control CPU frequency. This governor has a built-in "profile" similar to SetCPU but the profile has no upper frequency limit. It tends to stay on lower frequencies when the screen is off and scale up very slowly, so screen off will use lower clock rate thus conserve more battery, but it also has a fast wake up feature so that user interaction will not see the lag when switching from Sleep to Wake state.... (So SetCPU Profiles are sorta redundant when using this governor, you can still use SetCPU to OC to higher than default Clock frequency).
Q: What is the best UV settings?
A: There is nothing as best UV settings. You have to find the best settings for your device for yourself. Start by decreasing 25mV on each freq and decrease it every day until your device becomes unstable.
Q: What can I do to have the best battery life ever?
A: put your phone into airplane mode. if you don't like to do it read the guide below.
Q: Which roms are supported?
A: All android 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 roms are supported. Try the latest version. if you have any problems leave a post to this forum and ask for help.
Q: I get random reboots or freezes. What should I do?
A: Before reporting any problems you have to make sure that you are using stock voltage values. Some phones cannot handle undervolting. Secondly, you have to give details. When did it happen, which rom are you using, can you reproduce it, do you have any custom init scripts which changes kernel parameters such as freq voltage or anything else?
Q: do I need to recalibrate the battery?
A: You don't need to calibrate battery for SGS2. Thanks to Entropy512 to pointing out that our device uses MAX17042 which is specifically designed not to require calibration.
Q: do I need to perform any wipe?
A: no. you don't have to wipe anything. however, try wiping cache and dalvik cache if you have any force closes or any other issues before reporting the issue.
Q: Is the battery life better/worse?
A: maybe... you'll never know if you don't try... People are reporting that they are having the best battery but it may not be the case for your device.
Q: where is the interface to change GPU clock and voltage?
A: There is no GUI (graphical user interface). the interface is used via device files. you have to use init.d scripts to adjust the values. there are some examples in the first post about how to use init.d scripts and gpu voltage/clock interface.
Q: Which governor is the best? Which I/O scheduler is the best?
A: You have to try them and select the one you like. There is a very good explanation about governors and i/o schedulers here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242323
Q: My phone doesn't go into deep sleep mode. Why?
A: try to clear cache and dalvik cache by using CWM recovery and make sure that your phone is not connected to a charger. it does not go into deep sleep when it is charging.
Q: Which version is the best?
A: supposedly, the latest version is the best. But if the latest version is beta there may be unstable code in it. testing the beta version and reporting bugs will help me. but it's your choice... try and see... maybe this kernel is not stable for your device at all, who knows... I will not answer any "what is the best?" questions and I kindly ask you not to ask that kind of questions since there is no answer to that.
Q: How does the automatic battery calibration work?
A: Automatic battery calibration feature is removed as it was useless for SGS2.
Q: What is an init.d script?
A:init.d scripts are the scripts which are executed during the boot time. actually, they are meant to initialize and deinitialize system daemons and manage some startup/shutdown tasks. but in android world they are just "autoexec.bat"s. so, it is a mix of rc.d and init.d directories in linux distros. everything in /system/etc/init.d are executed during the booting process. since it is not standard in every android device,some developers choose to execute files starting with "S" and some execute everything. in this kernel, everything in /system/etc/init.d is executed. you can create a script to change, lets say, voltages, schedulers, apply tweaks, run overclocking daemon or run anything else you can imagine.
Q: My phone doesn't go into deep sleep. What is wrong?
A: Make sure that you have cleared cache and dalvik-cache after you install the kernel. Also, reboot once more after the flashing. the phone doesn't go into deep sleep if it is connected to a charger or to a computer. There may be an application running in the background which is preventing deep sleep. In that case you can check which app causing the problem with "BetterBatteryStats" application (search in Google).
Q: I want more info about CPU governors.

If you still want more info, try them by yourself.
Q: Can I use this kernel with I9100T?
A: Yes, you can. the only difference between I9100 and I9100T is that they have different SAR values.
quick and dirty guide to have less battery drain:
- use 2G-only if you don't need 3G
- monitor programs which cause wake-lock. use betterbatterystats and either uninstall or tweak them
- do not use task killers. see the previous item and find the malicious programs instead of repeatedly killing them.
- do not activate google latitude on maps.
- if you don't need pushmail, uncheck gmail sync and use k-9 mail to pull mail, lets say, every 1 hour or so.
- go to settings / location and security. disable "use wireless networks" and "use gps satellites". enable them when you need them, other than that keep them disabled.
- disabling auto-brightness and using a low brightness level helps. do you know that you can adjust the brightness by swiping your finger across the notification bar? try it...
- using juicedefender may help, but it may also cause more drain. test it yourself.
- if you need more speed than 2.5G (i.e. edge) disable HSDPA (*#301279#, select 2 then select 1). you will have 3G instead of H(SDPA) and I think it is fast enough
- disable fast dormancy. dial *#9900# and disable.
- disable auto sign in for google talk (search for talk in appdrawer and use settings to disable automatic sign in)
- disable samsung update and don't use samsung gadgets if you are not in love with them. (this part may be taken care of the rom developers)
- try several radios. I recommend you to try KE7, KG2 and KH3 and choose the one which suits you best. KG2 seems to be the best for me. however, in terms of battery life, there is not much difference between those three.
- be aware that more you use your phone more the battery drains don't complain like "my battery drains quite fast but I did not use my phone. I only played angry birds for hours without making a single call" or don't expect to have a decent battery life if you use your phone as a computer or download torrents using your phone.

yes, I know that is why I have asked for patience in OP. If the moderators were a bit more patient maybe I would be using some other kernel and wouldn't bother to compile my own

you have to try.
smartassv2 governor with 200-1200mhz setting is very satisfying and the battery lasts at least as long as speedmod-v27 for me.

I haven't tested it, but theoretically smartassv2 governor that I am using in the kernel should give better battery life than ondemand with a little (not even noticable) sacrifice of performance. you don't need to use any setcpu profiles with smartass governors.
test it. it may or may not give better battery life for you.

Here's a step by step instruction to install this kernel:
1. download the above file (via phone directly or to a PC)
2. copy the downloaded zip file to /sdcard/download/
3. Open ROM Manager and select "Reboot into Recovery" and select "OK"
4. Once in recovery, select "wipe cache partition", select "Yes", then select "advanced", then select "Wipe Dalvik Cache", then select "Yes" again. Once finished, click the back button to go back to the main recovery menu. On that menu, select "Install Zip From SDCad", then select "Choose zip from SDCard", then go to /sdcard/download and select the downloaded zip file and let it run its script.
5. Once the script is done, select "reboot system now"
Note: After FLASHING, the first reboot may take longer than usual, please be patient... After the first reboot, it may lag during initial load (let everything finish loading). Once everything is loaded and phone is ready for use, reboot the phone a 2nd time and the lag will be gone and everything should be silky smooth...

If you encountered any funny / weird / strange issues coming from other than 100% pure stock ROMs or my kernels, the following "Reset Kernel" will restore the kernel to its Original Stock Settings.

2. Why doesn't my Max frequency settings NOT "stick" when using intellidemand governor with FauxClock App?
Intellidemand will AUTOMATICALLY UNDERCLOCK when there's a CONSTANT load for greater than 3 minutes. (Load spikes will NOT trigger the auto underclock, only CONSTANT loads). After the load is gone, it will restore back to original Max Clock. Constant load will drain the battery quite quickly, intellidemand governor will detect this behavior and automatically underclock to save more battery without ANY user intervention at all!
3. Why does the CPU freq slider move when I touch the screen?
Qualcomm's closed source mpdecision is the culprit. mpdecision raise the minimum CPU frequency to 1.026 GHz to "cheat" or increase UI smoothness. While this is a good idea, it is too aggressive and overkill causing unnecessary battery drains. And because it is closed sourced, it is NOT POSSIBLE to tweak its behaviors. I highly recommend turning off mpdecision when using my kernels in combination with intellidemand/intelli_plug
4. What is Intelli_plug? How do I use it?
Intelli_plug is my open source solution to Qualcomm's closed source mpdecision. Intelli_plug is enabled automatically upon boot, so NO need to turn on or off. However, it conflicts with mpdecsion, so I HIGHLY recommend turning off mpdecision when using my kernels! To turn off mpdecision, either use fauxclock app under CPU page or use terminal / init.d script and write "stop mpdecsion"
5. What is Eco Mode in FauxClock App?
Eco Mode is a special power savings mode part of the intelli_plug where the kernel automatically reconfigures its decisions in real time and optimizes to use only 2 out of 4 cores. Cores 3 and 4 are turned off completely.
6. My Gamma/Color settings do NOT stick when I removed FauxClock App from memory!
FauxClock app MUST be running to retain the colors. This is a limitation of the stock kernel and FauxClock app was designed to overcome this issue, so therefore it has to be running and be in memory (Avoid all Task Killers!!!)
7. If FauxClock has to be running all the time, does it CAUSE MORE DRAIN?
NO, FauxClock is a normal behaving app which does NOT HOLD or request ANY wakelocks from Android system. Therefore it does NOT cause any drain at all while running (matter of fact, it's suspended most of the time until it's needed)
8. What is "SnakeCharmer" ?
SnakeCharmer is an extension that I created to tame the Qualcomm Krait CPUs. Due to asynchronous SMP cpu design, each CPU can have its own independent min/max frequencies. SnakeCharmer allows you to set a specific max cpu frequency to all cores at the same time, so if you want to UNDERCLOCK your CPUs to a specific frequency, you should enable it under FauxClock.
9. I enabled "SnakeCharmer" but I occasionally see it still goes to max 1.512 GHz, why?
SnakeCharmer works flawlessly. FauxClock app is a Java app which runs on top of Linux. Sometimes it gets out of sync with the kernel, so it will display a frequency that's higher than the maximum "SnakeCharmer" frequency. This is a PURE DISPLAY issue with FauxClock App. SnakeCharmer works advertised! (Confirmed using CPUSpy by multiple users).
10. I have BOTH FauxClock and FauxDisplay apps but I seemed to lost the Screen Adjustment Tab under FauxClock? (Nexus 4 Only)
FauxDisplay (aka Advanced Gamma Control has full 27 controls unlocked, it supersedes the basic controls provided by FauxClock
11. What is Turbo Boost and how do I enable it? (Nexus 4 ONLY)
Turbo Boost is similar to Intel's Turbo Boost for the x86 CPUs. It increase the clock frequencies when 2 or less cores are active. (TB-U allows up to 1.9.44 GHz, TB-M allows up to 1.836 GHz). To enable turbo boost, simply slide the CPU max frequency slider all the way to the right!
12. Why can't I Undervolt below 600mv?
Ever since I created the UV interface for Qualcomm phones on 2010, 600mv minimum voltage has been chosen for a reason. There are typically 2~4 different "binnnings" for the same CPU chip (each binning has their own voltage tables) and therefore NOT ALL CHIPS are created equal. The 600mv limit was put through many different tests and was found to be stable ACROSS many many different chips/binnings combinations (No crash or sleep-of-death aka SOD) and it has been proven time and time again to be a good value for minimum voltage value.
SOC Sleep States demystified! (Corrected for incorrect information thanks for G+ comments!)​
Often times users using many apps like CPU Spy will say post how much time their phone spent in "deep sleep" and thinking that "deep sleep" is only 1 state, unfortunately, it is WRONG. For many modern CPUs there are several C-States (sleep states), and the term "deep sleep" does NOT correctly describe them all.
Just like in real life, there are several stages of "sleep", the shallowest sleep is C0 State. As in real life, C0 state is very easy to wake up from with almost NO latency at all (real life will be like grogginess, so C0 is just like when you first doze off but any little distraction will instantly wake you up). The deeper the sleep, the harder it is to wake up from. It takes longer for CPU to re-initialize itself to a waking state (just like real life where once you enter REM sleep, it's very hard to wake up from it).
For most processors, C3 is the Deepest sleep state. C3 state is ALMOST like turning it off using the absolutely minimum power.
C0 - Shallowest sleep (dozing off) with instant wake up
C1 - slightly deeper sleep with slight latency when waking up
C2 - deeper sleep with longer latency when waking up
C3 - really deep sleep (like REM sleep in real life) with longest latency when waking up
My pyramid (Sensation 4G) kernel has Intellidemand Governor 2.0 (Grand daddy of the Mako's Intellidemand governor) where I disabled ALL hotplugging when screen is on (ie, both cores stays ON the WHOLE TIME) but I enabled C2 state for both processors, so even though at first you think it may draw more battery than hotplugging (turning off the core when not using), many of my users have experienced better battery life than with hotplugging (Hotplugging is VERY expensive, the act of turning cores on/off drains battery as well).
On Nexus 4 (Mako), for some reason, Qualcomm has decided to only allow for C0 state (the shallowest sleep) and so the "deep sleep" isn't really that deep. With my FauxClock app + my kernel, I give you all the "deeper" sleep states so when idling, you phone can experience deeper sleep. There's a hardware bug for Krait processors where the secondary cores, 1~3, cannot achieve deeper sleep state independently, so hotplugging is still necessary to save power for cores 1~3 but for core 0 (and core 0 is the master CPU and it's NEVER hotplugged) being able to go into deeper sleep state will help to conserve more power.
FauxClock is designed with forward compatibility. With the newer Qualcomm Krait 600/800 series, they have fixed a few of the hardware bugs from the Krait processors, and so for those newer SOCs, you can go into deeper sleep with all cores like the like older 8x60 SOCs.

exaclty what i was going to say...tried boot, but no go, simply boots without changing kernel ; and flash doesn't work.
Also, doesnt run @ 1.8. Itll reboot and then hang till you reflash the kernel.
Pesonally I'd suggest staying away from this until it was a bit more tested.

you do realize that not every CPU is going to be able to oc that high? Some won't oc at all. Some will go higher. Just saying......

Battery Life Guide

Hey I made a guide on reddit, and I should have just posted it here. The goal is to have a good battery life and for everything to be buttery smooth. I've updated it with my recommendations!
Depending on your usage and how well you took care of your battery, you should get anywhere from 5-8 hours of SOT.
1) Flash custom twrp recovery if needed.
2) Flash Rom.
3) Flash SU. (OPTIONAL)
3) Flash Kernel.
4) Flash ARISE or sound mod. (OPTIONAL) If you don't want the sound mod you can skip steps 6-9 if you'd like.
5) Restart phone. Go through setup phase.
6) Install file manager (I recommend Solid Explorer)
7) Install busybox (I recommend the one by meefik)
8) Open busybox app and update/install busybox.
9) Open your file explorer and go to root. Then go to vendor/etc. Rename audio_effects.conf to audio_effects.conf.bk and restart.
10) Install Snapchat. Yell at your phone.
11) Go to SuperSu app and completely unroot.
12) Restart.
13) Log into Snapchat.
14) Restart into recovery.
15) Flash SU.
16) Flash Kernel (just incase, probably not neccesssary).
17) Download Leandroid, Ex Kernel Manager, & Substratum.
18) Apply kernel tweaks, Choose settings for leandroid app & apply substratum theme if you want.

I would just use whatever nathan has as defaults for his kernel. If using a different kernel, I recommend using hawktail 1.2 gov profile.
Here are the additional tweaks I personally use.
CPU: Hotplugging: Enable msm_hotplug.
GRAPHICS: MAX GPU Freq: 180. If you play games that max out the gpu, you might not want to mess with the gpu freq.
MEMORY: zRAM disabled; UKSM DISABLED.
MISC: I/O SCHED MAPLE; READAHEAD 2048; VIBRATION 25%. Wakelocks I have enabled are: Sensor_ind, Bluedroid, msm_hsic. Cubic for TCP algorithm.
EX KERNEL SETTINGS DISABLE CHECK FOR UPDATES.
Leandroid Settings:
Disable: Wifi, Bluetooth, Network Location, GPS Location; Switch Cell data to 2g*
* Turning cell data off or to 2g makes ok google hotword when your screen is off kinda slow.
APPS THAT USE LESS BATTERY THAN WHAT YOU'RE USING:
Battery Saving Browser: Tugabrowser Turn on battery saver in settings. Uses 1/2 - 1/3 battery than what chrome uses.
Makes screen use less battery at low battery: Monochrome
Turns off % of pixels, saves battery: Pixel Filter
Facebook lite: Less annoying facebook
Facebook messenger lite: Less annoying facebook messenger
GLTOOLS: Used to make snapchat less laggy
Apply these changes to the settings of Snapchat in GLTools;
Enable custom settings for this app -> On
Force 16 bit rendering -> On
Optimize GLSL shaders -> On
Enable texture decompression -> Disable
Enable texture recompression -> Disable
Downscale textures -> Limit to 256x256 (If pictures or text become pixelated, change this to Disable)
Restart Snapchat
System Tweaks:
ENABLE DEV OPTIONS BY TAPPING ON BUILD NUMBER A BUNCH OF TIMES. UNCHECK Automatic system updates in developer options.

I usually leave pixel filter off during the day, and just use it at 50% at night to make the screen a bit more dim. If I know I'm not going to be able to charge my phone for awhile, I'll use it during the day as well.
To use Nathan's defaults, do I just wipe settings in EX Kernel Manager and reboot? My hotplugging setting does not have msm_hotplug, only lazyplug. Is that the same? Thanks for sharing your tips.
Flash kernel have been updated and now have lazyplug in place of msm_hotplug. I am not sure if its not working or something but with lazyplug enabled, I still see all the cores running all the time vs msm_hotplug, I would see half the cores inactive when I am not using the phone heavily.

What I understand different between those 2 hotplug was...
1. MSM_Hotplug - Some core are offline and become online when above certain value
2. Lazyplug - All core are online and it will only offline when below certain value
@Secretcow hey mate ! about this >>GRAPHICS: MAX GPU Freq: 180. If you play games that max out the gpu, you might not want to mess with the gpu freq. < about this i never game, so if i set it to 180 , do i have to tick the reboot circle yes?
because it is greyed out along with the other gpu settings.
and one more thing, is it safe to have these >> MEMORY: zRAM disabled; UKSM DISABLED. disabled ? which one is the one that affects data from the storage? i wouldnt want to mess with that x.x

Anyway to get battery tweaks without resorting to custom kernels?

I would love to get the battery life profiles from the custom kernels but I don't want to install them and would like to relay to the stock kernel of my rom which is RR. For reasons that I want to avoid bugs and would want to stay updated all the time.
I found spectrum which exactly what will solve my problem but the problem is that it doesn't support the stock kernel of RR.
Stock kernel of RR support "Kernel Adiutor". Kernel Adiutor give you various useful settings.
In my opinion the first is change voltage of your CPU (for each speed).
i Undervolt all Little cores:
(Warning each cpu need different settings, this setting can not work for you)
400 and 691 mhz with 695mv
806mhz 745mv
1017mhz 825mv
1190mhz 880mv
1305mhz 915mv
1382mhz 935mv
1401mhz 940mv
1440mhz 950mv
Big cores DISABLED. (i dont have lags with this settings... i play Clash Royale and use social apps, if you need it enable)

For test speed/voltage you need to set same min and max speed and disable de Big Cores. (Or set max speed "X"mhz and use performance governor)

DONT USE "APPLY ON BOOT" when you try different voltages.
when you have your profile save this and here in profile menu you can set it at startup (you need to be sure of your phone stability with this settings).
Equally i recommend Agni kernel 13... i use before RR oreo and now AEX oreo and im happy with this kernel, zero problems, all fine.

i dont know but is really good for me.
Equally if you like stock kernels may use RR stock kernel + Kernel Adiutor without problems.

I tried Vulmax and the battery config and it made my phone really fast, literally as in the animations of closing and opening of apps became way too fast. I think Kernel Auditor would be better for me.

you can change animation speed from the developer options in the settings.. disabling animation saves a bit battery thats y it is disabled

[Abandoned][TruWhite Mod] Kernel Adiutor Settings for Overload Kernel

TruWhite MOD for Overload Kernel by RandomDelta​
I have put together my settings for extracting the best performance with minimal effect on battery life from our Le eco Le 2. I have calibrated the display to true paper white colors and increased saturation to emulate AMOLED displays. Some of you may not like that so you can turn down the color saturation. While changing Voltage settings, please note that not all processors are built the same and yours might not be able to withstand the overclock. If for some reason there are random freezes, Just lower the voltage by 5mv after rebooting. The color profile has been extracted from Le eco vivid color mode EUI 5.9 with boosted color saturation . Not all displays are created equal so the color profile may not be perfect for you. Just adjust RGB by ±5 to get what works best for you. Word of caution, while playing games the phone can get pretty warm. If it concerns you, lower the throttle temperature and Temperature limit under thermal at the cost of some performance. Screen on time is 8 hrs at 50% brightness and 6 hrs at 100% brightness. I recommend 90% for optimum usage. Download the attached zip and adjust settings as in the pictures. Performance Is up by 20% from stock settings and battery usage is 5%less than stock settings. Performance test screenshot is also attached.

Every Version of kernel is different from each other and features pop up and disappear with updates. So certain customizations mentioned in this guide may not be available in a different kernel version. Also, optimum values tend to differ from kernel version to version. So yeah, it'll work in v4.15 but you might not get the best results.
It's good for gaming coz you get a 20% performance boost over stock. You can improve performance further by changing CPU and GPU governers to Performance, increasing minimum CPU and GPU speed, increasing minimum number of big cores online and increasing the temperature limits but it will adversely affect your thermals and battery life.

Are you on Overload kernel v4.14. Please ensure that you are. Even if I share the Json file, that setting won't be applied because that setting doesn't exist for the kernel you are on. So it's pointless. Plus to apply the Json file, you need to have the pro version of Kernel Adiutor , which most of us don't. If you want the Json file, it's linked below.
It's the v1.1 Balanced profile

yes, I'm overloaded 4.14 but I can not find the screen in question.
thanks for the .json file, even if you say in effect it does not make much sense unless you can apply the whole configuration. I would like to understand why I do not find the setting, however

Maybe there was some error during the flashing process. You should redownload the kernel And flash it again. It should solve the issue.
Custom settings for Overload Kernel v4.19 has been released
Settings for v4.20 are the same as for v4.19. So I'm not reposting.
Settings for v4.21 will be released soon.

TruWhite MOD v1.3 for overload kernel v4.21 has been released!
I will not be releasing performance biased mod because in my opinion the battery trade off associated is not worth the tiny performance gain.

but my last option for max frequencies for big cpu is 1478mhz. There's no 1800mhz or around it

It's for little CPU. You might be confused. Little CPU max out at 1478mhz in v4.21. Send screenshots . I might be able to help

I sorted out. It was showing wrong info. It was showing 1478mhz in big and 1843mhz in small. LOL. I force stopped app and rebooted phone. Then, it was correct.....Wait for results now:fingers-crossed:
