Well, many of the redmi note 3 users don't know about divine beats and many people are facing problems in installing viper4android, so I posted it to help others.....

Why settle for less when users can flash the full ARISE package.? Or maybe mix ARISE with Ben's Aural Maximizer?
I thinks you should make a whole new thread listing all Sound Mods available for Kenzo, that'd make more sense. Maybe try providing Troubsboot guides too?
This simply looks like a thread made to increase Thanks Count. These words might sound harsh but deep down inside you know it's true.

Well it's a nice idea for a list of all sound mods...
I made this thread as arise was breaking volte for many kenzo users and nougat and this one didn't....
And thanks count shows nothing for me, it's just a way to show a dev that his work helped us, it doesn't means anything other than that....
If my thread is of no use to anyone, then I'd request the forum mod to remove it....

Arise never breaks VOLTE. People report call drop, that's due to network issues. People just get too exited to flash all modules of AROMA zip at once and that (Specifically Deep Buffer Remover) breaks sound, that too on 5.8.2. I'm in contact with ARISE Devs and they have introduced 'Deep Buffer Restorer' too after this issue was reported. It's out on 2.94 now.
Apart from that ARISE never has any sort of issue, personally tested and confirmed.

Dolby from which thread broke volte for you?
And by Viper you mean? Viper4Android or Viper4Arise?

I don't know thread for dolby, i had the zip downloaded some time ago..
I tried viper4android and I also tried extreme beats from over here.
TBH i thought arise would do the same and searched for some other good audio mods...

Try ARISE and I'm sure you'll never need anything else ever.
And a suggestion if you don't mind : Try to keep yourself updated with threads that you use Mods/ROMs/Apps (etc) from. A lot of developments goes on and if you miss something you'll end up hurting yourself.
Peace out.

This is going to be a pure AOSP CM9 Rom. I usually don't post my roms, because they are tailored for my liking. But figured i'd release a new one. So many themed and ported AOSP roms being released i want something that is as close to base without alot of fuzz.
This rom will be my own personal touch, with a few mods to make it run fast and accommodate long battery life.
PURE DRAGON :
PURE CM9 AOSP Compiled by Dragonstalker
DragonStalker Kernel based off CM9
B4 Contains Bamf .45 Kernel
Gapps not included. (there's already 4 versions running around) I will include Cyanogen Gapps if neededd for download
ETC .....
If you are interested in helping test, please message me on gtalk @ [email protected]. All are welcome as is feedback.
Disclaimer: My work is my work alone and gives no guarantee to working order or the ability to not brick your device. Please have a basic knowledge of common sense and a good knowledge of flashing Roms before venturing on the Dragon Quest.
This rom does not play nice with Snuzzo's Funky Kernel v1.2. Please do not flash his kernel until he post V1.3. Thank you

Me and Snuzzo have been working on the BT issue for a few roms now, and think we all have hit a brick wall. HTC and Broadcom tech support both suck. Me and Bored spent weeks trying to get this fixed on RezRom S4. But we will get it working somehow.

That's cool, I was totally amped up with Neos AOSP, it's a great piece of work, but when I couldn't use BT calling, it was a huge let down. I know it's a pain to figure out and if I knew how to do this and devoted the time these guys do, I'd try like hell
Any ROM with Dragon in the title must be sweet!
No, that's why it's called "PURE" its not going to be themed. Just a themed Launcher because I don't like stock icons.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Whether or not you should publicly state it or not is a different story.
I'm sure you would be happy to have another choice rather than none at all?
OK so after spending all day fixing lil stuff in the background. I decided to for now drop the Avatar Bazooka Launcher. It kept force closing, and i don't want to release a rom with a bad app. I also didn't like the way it played with Aroma installer, and since this is a pure rom with no extras, was no sense in leaving it in there. Please let me know what changes you guys would like.

Dude, I always find it awesome when devs just drop in good ole Launcher2.apk.
Unfortunately not many devs do that and insist on adding in 'Google Play' launchers, know what I mean?
Dig around in Launcher2.apk a little bit. You might be amazed out how customizable it is if you must customize
Not Great but shows potential for a daily. Not Linaro Speed. but not far off.
Me too, it's why I have so many wives.

Sweet stuff dragonstalker, I always welcome a new dev to get involved in working on our Rezzy! Don't pay attention to the troll :good::good:
Sweet, any more dev action is welcome. I remember when I used to check the the Rez forum with disappointment and anticipation, often regretting getting the Rezound.
Now I don't even know what I want to flash to my phone, and that's a good thing!

Going to make some changes to the hardware accelerations, add the bravia engine, and try changing the r/w speeds. Hopefully will get this Antutu score up to 6000. Tomorrows going to be a good day. But for now. Gonna curl up with wife and dream about Vanessa Williams :silly:
Oh yeah. And I've already made some changes to the BT config files. See if that gets us any closer to working.

Q&A
This thread was created in response to a new xda initiative to reduce non-development related posts on development threads.
An added benefit of a thread here is that users with under 10 posts can get some help (and won't have to PM me).
Below are some examples of common types of posts and where they belong
Q&A and General Discussion Thread:
"What kernel gives the best battery life with this ROM?"
"Is Nova launcher compatible with this ROM?"
"The battery life for this ROM is off the chizarts! (see attached screenshots)."
"The battery life for this ROM is total crap! (see attached screenshots)."
"I just flashed this ROM and my GPS doesn't work. :crying:"
Development Thread:
"Anyone else having problems with the new cellular data toggle?"
"I keep getting FC's from SystemUI. Any thoughts?"
"I selected the green battery icons in Aroma but it installed the blues ones (I checked twice)."
"I just flashed this ROM and it bricked my device! "
**********************************************
It will probably take some time for threads like this to evolve, so I am definitely open to feedback.

That's what I though too. I can't post in the main thread since I don't have 10 posts yet (I usually just search and read) so I asked here about if the issues with the camera flash and the camera crashing when switching to video were having any progress, and they just deleted it. Didn't move it, say why, they just deleted it.
Can any of you get Jet Set Radio to run in ICSMod 1.46? On mine It runs for a second then fc immediately.
Edit: Never mind, I've found out most 3D games won't work except Dead Trigger and Shadow Gun. I thought it was app specific.

I removed DLNA for two reasons:
1) No one uses it. You are the only person to ask for it.
2) I don't think it was ever fully implemented in the ROM. As you noticed, it doesn't even show up in the app drawer when it is installed. It is possible it is integrated in to a menu and I never noticed it.
I noticed you posted a question on the AtrICS thread (they should be posted here).
The apps you are looking for are found on the vendor image.

I just was wondering if any headway has been made with the camera (flash timing and crashing when switching to video).
I also had said that you've done really great work with this rom so far.
I guess the mods didn't like that for some reason.

I am really hoping your post was deleted by accident.
I have not spent any significant amount of time working on the ROM. I basically got tired of everyone complaining about battery life. Since this problem won't get fixed without a new kernel (and I am not a kernel dev), development is on hold. As soon as mmontuori's team gets the new kernel going I will get back to work.

That depends on how successful the project is.
From what I can tell the early results seem mixed.
All works very slow (with Ramfix)
Hello
I installed the ICSROM then Vendor Lite and after that the Ramfix,
my phone boots good and I just had one reboot in 6h
but all works very slow and apps like Chrome most time just crash and the homescreen often have to restart.
Also apps starts very slow and also react sometimes extrem slow. What can I do?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear OnePlus Two Users (the Audiophiles of you)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Almost everyone in the android-geek-business has heard of v4a, a Audiomod which "magically" improves your audioquality. Many of you might have faced sadness when realizing that on OOS v4a rather decreases quality instead off improving it. So I made it my personal Project to find a way to make Viper work on OxygenOs.
The idea of this tread is to inform you on my progress and to request files and infos I might need to fix v4a for Oxygen. And also as a central point for collaboration and progress-sharing with others working on the same problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Schedule:
- Find the issue
- Find a fix for this issue
- Make a guide for noobs (and geeks too)
- We are there!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you all
Deletescape
Banner source: Unknown... If there would be any copyright problems just contact me!
Where the issue isn't:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In build.prop <- but let's better take another look there
Due to something of Maxxaudio
In /system/lib/soundfx or /system/lib64/soundfx
Probably no libs at all [emoji52]
asound or aplay
Probably not in any of the following cofig files
audio_effects.conf
audio_policy.conf
audio_output_policy.conf
mixer_paths.xml
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks to @sewer56lol for some of this infos

One more you never know
If you want then I looked a bit into it at one point, though for not overly long.
Here's a head start:
=> mm.enable.qcom_parser=3314291 once broke OOS audio for me. Did once, now it doesn't for some reason (it's the value in the CM builds). => However this is unrelated to V4A as for it is not the reason it is broken.
=> Fixing V4A has nothing to do with build.prop
=> V4A is not broken because of MaxxAudio
=> V4A isn't broken because of audio sound effect libraries in lib/soundfx or lib64/soundfx.
=> At least CyanogenMod AudioFX works .
From here on there are not many things to test, the issue might even possibly happen to stem from the kernel. If you want you can try going the unprofessional (kinda really only way since OOS is Closed Source) and that is editing audio system of OOS with CyanogenMod's since it works on CM on our device.
Also the thread title baited me.
Additional head start:
=> It is not aplay or asound.
I highly recommend giving it a shot at editing audio_policy.conf to see if that is the culprit (maybe missing frequency etc.?).
I'll be traveling so I'll be unable to do that later.
I feel that the culprit may have a possibility of residing there.
Go compare it with the CM one and make changes, do these changes work? If no make more changes, keep making changes until audio breaks, if it breaks fix it, go to next line and make more changes.
Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk
Thanks @sewer56lol really appreciate your help and yep I already thought of audio_policy.cond being the issue. Right now I am trying to replace some files (including this one) with their cm version just to see what happens

It doesn't seem to be audio_policy so far... The only thing I achieved by completly replacing it with the one from cm is a "Nightcore"-Effect, everything is sped up to double speed (could fix that but don't see any need for it). The distortion we get from v4a stay the same.
Will still gonna take another look on the audio_policy.conf file...
What I have been thinking now is: As far as i know dolby dap is integrated in background (according to audio_effects.conf) dunno if this might play a role here.
EDIT: Interesting... Now nightcore effect is away as long as I don't enable v4a... (Or occasionally in some random moments)
Sent from my ONE A2001 using Tapatalk
i tried replacing various .conf files in various places, i did not work.
i wonder, will flashing a cm kernel on an oos rom brick it? if not, it might be a good idea to try and see if v4a works.

Yeah I think I've tried almost any config I could think of nothing really worked... And well had a similar idea as you right now... But I thought of trying to replace some system aps with the CM pendants...
And bout the kernel, well It could soft brick the oos rom and make a cleanflash mandatory but it would be cool to try [emoji23]

In the age of sound mods like James DSP, Ainur Audio mods.
I would like to say this is like re entering a dusty cave not visited in years.
Fun but not satisfying.

Thank you very much for your hardwork.

Could you suggest ways to improve audio output for one plus 3t Running oreo now and sound quality is really bad.
will it work with MIUI? or do we need any specific module/framework which is only available with Oneplus?
Will this work with DotOS on Android 11? Or any other mods that do?

OxygenOS port halted due to ignorants users

Guys lets suport CodeElixir, he just gave up developing OOS because of a bunch of stupid rude kids hating on the early ported ROM
Well some of the members are very entitled and think highly of themselves. Most of the bashers do not even know how to properly do a report and can only do smack against the devs. Some of them just learn how to install a rom but do not know how hard it is do a working port or even develop a working rom.
They only think for themselves without thinking about the feelings of the developers. Heck some of them doesn't even donate to the developers for their hard work. I know some devs can be really rude sometimes but I do get where it is coming from. The pressure to deliver a good stable product in a very short time is very tiring and depressing.
I just wish the admins and moderators do something about this issue of members harassing the community devs. Ban those who talk smack, they just dishearten developers who are just learning or doing their best.
this situation is awful. I did not have time to grab the latest version and the dev removed the download link.
Please if anyone could share the 9.0.4 OOS Port pretty please
The entitlement and rudeness of some people is astonishing. I just read the last few pages of the OOS thread and I'm sickened by some of the posts. The dev should just ignore the idiots and continue doing his godly work. This port was amazing.

Well those people are really ungrateful. They had a chance to use something that is for free but chose to mock the developer instead. I don't know what they were thinking pitting a newly ported rom to nitrogen which was created last year.
I do hope @CodeElixir continues with the ported rom or maybe let someone continue his work if he really is hellbent on stopping the development..
Hope Dev will resume Bug Fixing...
I do hope @CodeElixir continues with the ported ROM too..

@CodeElixir should do whatever he wants. I personally loved his work, just because he put man hours into something he wasn't obliged to do. Like all the developers on this forum. If he has decided that its not worth it, and stop the development, I think that we should all respect his decision and end the discussion here. I also think that this thread is off topic, since XDA is device-only forum. If you want to help the man, donate, pm him, say something nice. Don't open a seperate thread for this.
That's my opinion as always.
i am also with @CodeElixir u made our dream come true, dont break it please bro.

Entitlement is always going to be an issue, and this, for some reason, is especially true on xda. All you need to do is to learn to tell somebody to **** off, be it politely or not
The way I see it is, we have a good selection of stable ROMs, it would be nice to have Oxygen OS, but its not a vital thing that we need right away. I'm happy to wait for the devs to do their awesome work, and just stay on the ROM I'm already on. Its not like our phones are broken and the only saviour is a OOS port!
Its a shame that development has halted on it. Like people have said before, its hard work, and they are doing it off their own backs, and its meant to be something that they enjoy doing, not some job with deadlines and demands. People need to be more respectful!

I'd love a zero tolerance policy: you're a hater, you're banned after one warning. That's the only way to get rid of that selfish kids here and return to a professional and respectful level.
What? He halted OOS? Damn this kids
Was about to try the port and report back huhu
We're on your side ? @CodeElixir
Please don't halt your amazing work because of some of these good for nothing ungrateful duds. ?
What du u think guys? If he wants then he would continuous his job. If not, no need to ask him more. That's respect which u r taking about. So pls stop here.
is there any developer willing to take over his job and continue the OOS port?
Would like to contribute some hard work

Yeah. I'm willing to contribute too. I'm trying to study the basics of creating a custom rom myself just so I could help continue this amazing work.

-Vendor https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IFZw9L12GFudV2CJ3Eh-OO33yOKyhPF8/view (with OnePlus scripts, so do flash this after flashing rom)
-ANXMiui Camera https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CGgRwM-WPIIjQMGJB21Be57L-WwVRbvG/view (Flash from Magisk only)
-Stock thermals https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eFILIbUhqtDXg3Ux9ze1kwXEZayNgJnv/view (optional recommended for noobs)
Note by dev:
-On first boot, facelock wont work due to the script that runs on first boot enforces trusted face use IR camera. Reboot will solve issues.
-If you face any issue, flash latest vendor and do a clean install.
Note by CodeElixir:
-If you dont like the port, don't use it, nobody is forcing you to use it. And stop acting like retards.
-It took lot of days to perfect this port. This port is stable than every OOS port out there and its even stable than most Miui builds. So stop whining about it already.
This is great news...to those OOS lovers
Thanks to CodeElixir
