Downgrading Custom ROM - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I currently have Lineage OS 14.1 installed on my device and I am looking to downgrade to a Marshmallow ROM so that I can take advantage of xposed framework until it is released on Nougat.
How do I go about downgrading my device? Will a clean flash through TWRP work or are there more steps to it? Your advice is much appreciated

Clean flash is enough

It will relock your BL though.

Need to flash a custom rom on 3.1. bootloader

I want to flash a custom rom that supports the latest boot-loader from oxygen, after i flash a rom i just get the white oneplus logo
Need to update your bootloader. 3 threads on this and probably 100 posts.
I think only latest oxygen os after 3.0 supports new bootloader. So you can downgrade new bootloader to old in order to want new custom rom.
Then go.
You have the new CM13 nightlies, CM14, CM 14.1, AICP V12.... It's indicated in all custom rom topic if it's the new MM bootloader required or not.
To flash, first, you just need to fastboot flash a TWRP adapted for this bootloader too (V41 by Sultan for ex).

New Bootloader with Marshmallow

Hi guys,
i have the new bootloader installed with a custom rom on android 7.1
is it possible to go back to Marshmallow or do i need to downgrade the bootloader aswell?
thx
Yes it is possible. I don't think you have to downgrade bootloader to go back to marshmallow.
You can simply flash any MM custom rom that supports new bootloader, coz many MM custom roms support new bootloader. So you have to see the description before flashing any MM custom rom.
OOS MM support new bootloader.

How to upgrade to latest miui dev rom 7.6.7?

Hello,
I am currently using NOS rom and The Strix firmware mentioned in the official LOS 14.1 thread. But I am having various signal problems with the firmware and any other firmware does not work with nougat roms.
So, I just want to flash the rom so as to have the latest firmware and a marshmallow bootloader and be able to flash Nougat roms without any hiccups..!
Can anyone help me?
P.S i think that I have to simply flash the rom with supersu and lazy patcher in the twrp recovery, after clearing the data. But, I am not sure.

You flash the latest global dev rom in fastboot, using Miflash.

just to check when upgrading/downgrading

Hi guys
I have looked around and am on MM for my H850 and fancy trying Fulmics on N. As I understand if I wish to downgrade from N to MM I just need to flash boot and modem for MM and then MM Rom. But my question is this. If I make a complete nandroid backup of MM in TWRP, can I just restore all these imgs over a N Rom to downgrade to MM, without needing to flash boot and modem stock img?
Thanks
Anyone?
Downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0.1 for the LG G5 H850
Downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0.1 for the LG G5 H850
downgrade with autoprime metod.
By the way, why You need to do that, is that for xposed module? Or something else?
Hi thanks for the link to autoprime method. I just wanted to know if a nandroid backup would negate the necessity to flash boot and modem img when restoring to MM.
I have found alternatives to most xposed modules and so fancied trying a custom rom on N ; I would instal a custom rom on MM, but none appear to be supported any longer

Please help me get from stock kitkat (sgp311) to RR nougat

Long story short, I soft bricked my device trying to flash Resurrection Remix nougat. I got the tablet back to stock kitkat with flash tool. I unlocked the bootloader.
Now I'm in the dark about how I re-root and get to a version of twrp that will work with nougat. It's been so long since I messed with this device I don't remember what I did to get it to stock lollipop with an old version of twrp. I can't really find any straightfoward tutorials on xda.
Thanks.
