And it is great and it handles things well for the moment, but there are some things missing that I feel need addressing. Like for one the pull down notifications are just not up to scratch for a productivity tool. Meaning they are too easily forgotten about or cleared in amoungst the jargon of other notifications. I need toast and a persistent toast notification that won't clear unless say I check completed or something like that? The icons in this app, sorry to the developer are dismal, outdated and sorry but they are just plain crapola. Theres no capacity to change the theming of this app or icons for that matter. I was going to pull it appart and re-engineer it for those reasons alone just for my own satisfaction (not to re-distribute or "steel" the developers work)…but then I realised there are other features I would like to incorporate into the design/functionality that surpass what this app is.
What I would really like is a way of bringing this info "synch" to iCalendar (To-Do isn't really a "meetings" schedule or check in check out "availability" type app though?) or a tasklist XML within Gmail for users; enabling users to bring that information in as a feed for an iGoogle Gadget and if possible (even though it is retired now) bring a Gadget into Google Desktop.
I dare say my productivity would be improved with these functions. So far the LorSoft Tasklist App Widget is THE most used application onmy Android phone.
If anyone can recommend alternatives to what I am using that will fill the gaps (on the Android side of things at least) and/or the other side of things iCalendar/Gmail side of things and I can try and figure out how to feed the info into the other tools/gadgets for desktop iGoogle later.
Watching the Ice Cream Sandwich live presentation today was great seeing the calendar and its Gmail integration and sharing capability but it doesn't fullfill the task list or "TO-DO" type function that I need. Its great for visualisation…..but as you can possible sense by now opening the app or seeing what I need to do is the major issue LOL. I need toast…like IN YOUR FACE!
Any developers wana jump on board and brain storm with me on this feel free. I think uptake would be ginormous after seeing comments from Gadget requesters on Google already
I think I may have solved my own issue whilst trying to help someone else out?

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag
screens and timeouts from the interface. The nag screens are pretty light though, so users who dont want to spend can live with them.

Your app would be the best app of its kind if it had a built in private chat style sms. But since it doesnt I left to using RCB for the muted/ignore call function and Extreme Call Blocker invisible for everything else. That muted call function is what sets your app apart from the rest in my opinion....everything else you have is just regurgitation....which makes the app way more complex than it has to be.
And the daemon thing is an issue but worth it to have some radio troubles a couple times a day in exchange for the mute/ignore function you have. The only other MAJOR issue with your app is your attitude.....you support your apps but your responses are extemely disrespectful when they dont need to be. But halfdriven was also being an asshole for no reason about your app!!
We already have private SMS mate! Its just virtual - add the "Make private" action to your list, long press on the list to sweep the system logs and that's it. You can chat through your SMS app and dialer of choice and the app will move all the logs into Call Master.

I will try it again.the l fast time I tried it the sweep action took a while and was not consistently removing private texts....but that was several revisions back....I'll give it another go....thanks.
That's not possible. It ALWAYS works. It may simply take up to 15 seconds. You don't even have to have the messenger open.

Im confused, do we need to purchase this app in order to test it out? If you need testers why would you make them pay to test this app? I looked through the thread and didnt find anything addressing this issue.

I really need a few people to check into some issues people on some atrix roms have been experiencing. There are some warnings involved:
- testers must perform a full nandroid backup before using the app, it is not our responsibility if you start getting boot loops
- if you report results or bugs, please use the "Write to us" function in the app whenever possible, and always describe the issue in the header of the logs you send

Installed and my volume in my speaker is so low I couldnt by tell if the phone connected . Also using a bluetooth headset it has static. Uninstalled back to normal volumes and headset works .love the software hope there is a fix for this.
Are you sure its an error? Because there may have been software responsible for your volume that was updated or not originally present in the original rom...
Even when using it on the first slot setup it had no volume and that was untouched before and after the install

I reinstalled the most rebooted before anything else. Created clone booted into it and all is good very nice setup already bought key and rolling 3 profiles

I can confirm it works brilliant.
I'm using free version which is at the moment sufficient. One profile is for me, office apps, various productivity apps.. anything I'd use. The other profile is for my 3 yo kid full of games appropriate to his age, and no connectivity, just to make sure no accidental purchases are made.

Big app size 14 mb. I think its too big for an application.
Sample font is not attractive. Use system or Jelly Bean fonts.
My advice : Stop using Comic Sans MS font.

If this is a serious response, there are lots of great fonts for free on the internet. Helvetica is overused and overrated.

Yes adding some info about why it requires that many permissions might help.

Dark colors are better for eye and it significantly reduces the battery use due to it's lightning level.

Just from a first glance, there are several issues:
a) Grammar/language issues throughout the app description
b) Multiple security permissions are needed, giving the app access to all data on the phone
c) The app description states that it "checks for updates everyday", which really sounds like it is sending data at regular intervals as updates should be managed through the Play Store rather than the app itself
d) The developer website listed does not load
e) Many features are duplicative of built in phone functionality
All in all, it really sounds like a huge security risk, and does not appear to add much value. This app basically has every possible issue that people are told to be skeptical of when referring to malware apps.
Assuming you are a legitimate developer, and truly want to make a good app, you should retool it to have more focus on functions that are a value add, rewrite the description to use proper grammar, separate the functions that require high level access to the permissions into separate apps that do not need to access the internet to get rid of the security concerns.
It really looks like a malware app, and there's no way I would even consider installing it, and the 100-ish downloads you have don't really give any sense of security.

I think there are way too many concerns with permissions for me to consider even installing the app. The most popular SMS and Call Log backup and restore apps are from a trusted, well known developer, with a website and contact info, and the network permissions are only for displaying AdMob ads, and limited permissions for the all to perform its function.
In contrast, your website does not load and is registered in Iran, and your app has access to just about every possible permission involving my data that it can possibly have, in addition to having full network access. I'm not trying to offend, but I have no sense of security about allowing your app to have unrestricted access to all of my data. There are way too many red flags about what your app can do that I would not install it in its given state, especially with the numerous free alternatives from established developers that are available.
You really should consider splitting these into separate apps. If you want to build a Music Player, build a stand alone music player. Build a separate global search app. Build a separate Call Blocker, etc. I think you should narrow the focus of what you are trying to have your app do, and eliminate the network access permission so that a user can use your app without being concerned about where their data may be going. From a design standpoint, switching to the Holo design guidelines for Android 4.0 would be a good start. This may have been adequate on Froyo or Gingerbread, but from a design standpoint it appears very outdated.

Yes , your information is really useful , and two thinks that should be in mind :
This app designed for users to help them find things very fast , aslo have most needs tools for user and allow them use less memory load on phone .
but what is your opinion about removing internet premession completely . ( But I will lose app ads, update checker, lyrics load, load statics , bug reports , ....)
Also Do not see normal users like yourself, most of them are not as like as you ...

I am sorry but that is a very important issue. If an application is over 10mb, I very rarely install it. I like to keep my phone free from as much bloat as I can - even though it has 8GB of internal storage and 4GB of SD storage - the issue still stands. If you have to have a video, encode it to make it a much lower size before including it into the application.
I also think the name is too generic. If you could choose a catchier name or something more descriptive, you might get more people to notice it.

Hey guys I'm developing a new music player app and at this stage I can see 3 distinct paths to go down for monetizing it. I'd really like to hear from and get the opinion of developers who have tried similar methods with a similar type of app, and what sort of results they saw.
Here's what I'm thinking:
1. Have a free version and a paid "pro" version. The free version would be fully functional, have the core features of the app and be good enough for most people (i.e. it wouldn't be cripple-ware, think Evernote). The pro version would have some advanced/cool extra features that enthusiasts would like.
2. Have a fully functional limited-time trial version (e.g. a 15-30 day trial). After which the user would be prompted to upgrade to continue using it or just continually nagged each time they open the app. I've seen that a couple of the popular music players for android have gone with this (e.g. poweramp, n7 player).
3. Keep the app completely free for the time being, just worry about listening to feedback, improving the app and making it the best possible experience for users. Only start thinking about monetization once a critical mass of users has been reached.
No. 3 is the "facebook" approach to monetization - getting a lot of users with the hope of being bought out. I don't really think it's appropriate for a music player app because it's not a social product with "viral growth" built into it. It also relies on the app being hugely successful... and while I'd like to be optimistic, the odds are stacked against that happening.
The problem with 1. is currently there aren't that many advanced features in the app. I've also tried the free+paid version approach with another android app and the results were pretty appalling - the paid version had something like 1% of the users of the free version.
Ad banners aren't going to work because it's a music player - 99% of the time users won't see the app on screen to see the ads.

In my opinion you should try to create fully functional player and then release 2 versions: free and paid. If you will release player with many bugs people faster delete it than they download it.
