I'm having problem with my audiojack. I plug several wires but I can hear the sound in the headphones and on the loudspeaker.
It's a software problem or hardware.
Anyone has happens the same?

Hello, I think it's a software bug of our Cyanogen OS, I had it too, just reboot the phone and it will go away. I hope it will be fixed in the nougat update.

Hi people, I'm having an odd problem and I can't fix it. I was using a MiUI rom and my in call volume started to fail, from time to time it decided to stop working. I thought it could be because of the rom, so I installed a cyanogen one. It worked at first but then, in a few minutes, same happened.
After that I installed official 2.3.3 and same results. Then, I installed 2.1 and the in call volume worked for 2 hours, when I installed other rom, and another two hours or so... But next morning the problem was there.
I must say that speakers and headphones works perfectly, the only problem is the in call, I can't hear anything from the phone, just speakers and headphone :S
Do you know what could I do? Or the only solution is to send the phone to SE? I think installing all those roms proves that it should be a hardware problem, but I don't understand why when it works it sounds perfect. It should work or not, but not sometimes!

Hello. I bought this phone some days ago.. But when i make calls is very frequently that i can't ear anything and the person on the other side can't ear me. Im on last stable from Xiaomi.eu. Any ideas?
Defective microphone. You should apply for a refund. I also had this problem before with another phone, the seller give me full refund when I sent it back.
In my case it was working with recorder but phone calls or Google voice recognition weren't working.

Hey, I'm bringin this topic back to life. I'm also experiencing issues with phone call feature - people on the other side say they can't hear me well and that I sound like I'm standing far away from the phone. Can anyone tell me for sure wether this is a software or hardware issue?

Sometimes I have microphone issues too into calls , but only when I use speaker... Doesn't matter what ROM I use. I guess that's just the cheap quality parts into our device.. ( like soft keys stop working after 1 year )

This is funny! I had exactly same problem.
I was on global beta when it happened. Then I switched to global stable miui and the problem was GONE. Now I'm on Angel and Demons v9 and so far no such problems.
I'm using latest global stable. :/ 8.1.2.0.
Hi everyone. I have a issue with my speaker, yesterday I was playing piano tiles when my speaker get no more sound. At first sounds distortioned but more late the speaker was dead. Somebody has the same problem ?

Well.. if you're rooted and you do not want to travel to the store to fix it, you can try this:

You won't have Stereo speakers, but at least you will have sound coming from the earpiece.

this morning I used my Headset from the mate 10 pro to listen to spotify. Everything was fine. Now the headset does not work anymore. I chnaged nothing at thr setup from the phone. The phone does not recognize the headphones anymore. Ather headphone do not work... Is ist possible that the Android Security Update ist the root cause for this problem?

But you did update? If nothing changed in phone, maybe it's the headset? Try it in another phone.

Have you tried doing a hard-reset and try afterwards?
I updated the phone last weekend. I have 2 headsets and it's not recognizing both. It's not a port issue thought because i can connect the phone to my laptop and its still ok. Itjust wont recognize the headphones.

Yep. One of the 1st things i did. I'll try restoring it and if it still fails, i'll have it replaced. Good thing it's still under warranty.

Hi, same problem here. I had the phone for two months and now I can not use the headphones anymore. The headphones work in other devices, I can still charge the phone through the port, I did the reset but.... nothing works.

I have a all moust new Xiaomi redmi note 4 and have a big problems whit sound...no any sounds from this phone... can't record any sounds,no sound from ear speaker,no from loudspeaker...I tested everything and nothing happens...problem it's on a motherboard,how can I fix that please help me...I reinstalled couple times miui 9 and 10 and nothing happens again....
