UMIDIGI Z pro vs xiaomi mi 5 vs Le Eco Le Max 2 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone... Need some advice about which one of these 3 to purchase. Just can't decide on whether I should go for a wicked dual camera or the power of a SD 820. Im not a heavy gamer but I do want a reliable phone. Is UMIDIGI a good brand? On paper it looks pretty decent, really confused, and I only have a a budget of $350 Australian. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Do you plan to root or install custom room?
Check which bands are supported?
What about zuk z2 or z2 pro?

Hi, is this still an open thread or did you buy that already?
I got a leeco max 2 here and a redmi note tree. For daily use i take the leeco, because of his power, the 21MP Camera, which i use in JPG/RAW mode for taking amazing shots. And with cuoco92's rom which i use a longer time now, i feel happy to get a 'build in' adblocker (adaway is installed).
I hope this helps.

Redmi Note 3 Pro vs OnePlus 2

Would you recommend the Redmi Note 3 Pro over the Oneplus 2 if both are going for the same price right now?
Redmi note 3 pro was better, you will get twice update a week with global dev rom.

For Cam one plus 2 i think ....
oneplus 2 has no sd card option and costs 2 times more then redmi note 3 pro... so get a redmi note 3 pro.
160€ compared to 319€ for op2... get a redmi...
i come from an oneplus x and i am totally happy. only thing i miss is oled display

It depends on what you're looking for.
If for good camera, then probably one+2,if for good battery life then redmi.
There are many other thing s you have to consider, like type of display, system, sdcard slot etc. So it's really up to your personal preference.

nope not for me because i have a 128 gb sd card so the op2 died for me directly as choice. XD
but if you care about gaming etc, get a op2.
i use my phone for internet and media stuff, so i dont need a good gpu. i am actually realy surprised abeit my redmi note 3 pro. if you want a good costum rom support, get one with the snapdragon (qualcom) processor.
unlock bootloader with official tool like op... worked all like charm, i am happy camera is also fine. i mean... i dont expect an dlsr but camera is pretty fine for a phone.
if your phone goes broken, you have the same ****ty china support by both sides.
additional, miui is kind of nice and you get one dev update per week.
by op you can wait much longer.
but i use aicp rom, so also no matter for me.
so all together: you get a good device if you want updates and sd cards.
if you prefer more a better camera and more performance, get a op2.
but honestly... i dont pay much attention on performance but i am a power user and my xiaomi is working like charm in pro edition with 3gb ram.
the OP2 has less performance !

How? The 810 soc is very powerful and though it had it's share of overheating, looks like guys on the OP2 forums fixed that with a ton of kernel tweaks. i'm seeing antutu scores of between 90 - 103 on their cm14 rom's and let's not even get started on the GPU...Point is the 810 is very still a flagship soc. Snapdragon 821>820>810>>652>650...
Oh no I don't think, In benchmark s810 better than 650 yes, but in reality.... the a72 are fastest same if they are only 2 than the "old gen" cores of S810...
The GPU isn't stable a long time, when the GPU of 650 is perfectly stable ... looks manhattan longterm performance (30minutes) same if in theory 510 = 418 or 420 in practical it's a stable GPU so really better than us and same than 810, maybe one 810 could be better it's the nexus 6p... but OP2 really not ...

LG g2 camera vs Xiaomi redmi 4 one

I am thinking to get a budget phone like Xiaomi redmi 4, or 4x or Lenovo P2. However I am not sure how is the camera quality in these phones against our g2.
Any feedback please?

go to gsmarena, put all 3 devices in compare and see the differences...
many if the newer devices have better camera than lg g2...
yesterday, my wife bought a Huawei Honor 7 Lite (or 5C) and it beats my old lg g2 camera by a mile... mainly because a much better sensor and lower\brighter f-stop lens (f2.0)...
and the price of that new Huawei was around 210$ (carrier free)... sure, it can be found even cheaper on the internet...
The camera of the G2 is much better than the camera found on the redmi note 3 pro. I guess that the camera on the other budget Xiaomi phones ain't gonna be special, either. In daylight you can't see much of a difference between the G2 and the Xiaomis, but in low light the G2 performs much better. To sum this up, you don't buy Xiaomis for their cameras. You won't be so disappointed but you won't be amazed either. You should think of other criteria before buying a new phone.
Hit thanks if I helped!

Well, a xiaomi ticks all my requirements, minus the camera performance. I think that camera has become so advanced in new phones that is difficult to neglect it.

https://www.kimovil.com/en/compare-smartphones/name.Mi5s (choose the one that meets your needs)
Take a look at the mi5s. It's in your budget if you buy it from China and it's probably one of the best Xiaomis out there. When it came out it had some problems with the fingerprint sensor performance, though. I don't know if it has been fixed. The Lenovo zuk z2 (pro) is also a good option.

Which phone will you buy after this one?

Like the title says, which phone would you consider to replace this one if it were to break? Is there a phone out there that could be a worthy successor?
There are better phones of course.just not for the price.if my rn3 broke I would definitely buy another.i feel that for $180 the choices are very limited and xiaomi hit the mark.thats just my opinion tho.

Couldn't ageee more. Even that rn4 is released i still prefer rn3. This phone is just too god for its price.
And if you look that it is on top 3 custom rom devices... Then its very hard to say which will be next or rn3 again:laugh:
Op3t.
Mi 6C
Maybe future redmi note phones...
I'm waiting for a mid-high end or flagship phone with 4000+ mah battery & vooc/dash charging.
Its weird reading users praising their rm3000 ($700+) devices for getting 5-6 hours sot per day while I can easily get 8-10 hours on this 'budget' device.
Oh yeah I want my next phone to have great custom rom support to like this phone.
I'm waiting for mi6 for the price to drop and I'm getting one.

getting a redmi note 3 again... its better than redmi note 4..

I've been looking at the Mi6 as well, but apart from the ram, I don't really see why it might be better. Smaller screen, same MPs camera wise, small battery... I do like the fingerprint scanner on the front, though.

Don't know, possibly too expensive.
Will drag it for 6-8 more months, then going for the OnePlus 5 for sure... Although not going to sell RMN3, will keep it as my backup phone!

Yeah, ram. That's what I'm after. I made a mistake picking RN3Pro with 2gb of ram.
My 2nd reason is the smaller screen. 5,5 is a bit too big for me.

Mi Max 2 128GB version already pre-ordered
i want to know kenzo user's opinions here about mi5s
I will try to stay with my beloved redmi note 3 as muvh as it lasts!
I will stick with the rn3 until next year. Will try to get the the latest offerings from Xiaomi or OnePlus
I just want one with a snapdragon soc, plemty of ram, headphone jack and micro sd card slot.
mi max 2 with snapdragon 660
Mmm I don't know..i buyed rn3p as a transition phone to buy something better in 2 months. This was at August 2016. The battery, the modding convinced me to take it as daily driver phone.

Nubia ui

Is it possible to port Nubia UI to our 4x SD? My wife has the Nubia z17 mini and the camera app is great and image processing is unbelievable! Can we port the whole room or at least the camera app?

Why didn't you bought a Nubia phone in the first place?
Of course, nubia z17 mini have much better camera processing , i mean look at the price.. Its pricier
Oh and Porting Nubia UI? Nope, not gonna happen
Try finding a ported camera app of Nubia instead.
@GabrielScott Well I don't buy a phone for features I buy a phone for community support since I'm a flashaholic and if I had OnePlus Money I would of bought but I'm really really happy with my 4x and the camera is not the best but it gets the job done even though I had the s7 edge before my 4x the screen broke on it and it costs $280 to fix so I got a new phone $100 less than the price of 1 fragile screen
Well yea if it's possible to port the cam app that would be awesome

Phone similar to LeMax 2

So the camera on my Le max 2 died, and was wondering if there's a phone that has similar specs/price as Le max 2. I mean LeMax2 is a great phone for about 200$ with a snapdragon 820 it's a steal.
Here's a "best of" list of SD820 phones - there might be something that you'd be interested in on it...
Also, the Le Max 2 is still available if you're willing to have one shipped from China.

Heyyo, tbh it's pretty darn cheap to get a replacement camera module.
If you check around the forums I'm sure you can find recommendations for new camera modules that others have bought to replace their cameras. :good:
Take a look at Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro.I don't know if its still available or not, but it has the same processor and last known price was $250-300.
ZUK Z2 Pro, ZTE Axon 7
I would recommend something with a Snapdragon 660 or even the new 710 series. The Smartisan Nut Pro 2 is an awesome phone.
