P9 Plus is NOT getting EMUI 5.1... But a debugged version of 5.0 with some features! - Huawei P9 Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello everyone
I asked EMUI on Twitter if the Huawei P9 Plus would get EMUI 5.1, like on the P10 and P10 Plus.
This is what they responded:

}
While it does look like the Mate 9 IS getting EMUI 5.1, I think we can say that the P9 series will not get EMUI 5.1 as I don't think that the P9 would get it exclusively.
Anyways, what would you like to see in an updated and "debugged" EMUI 5.0 on the P9 Plus?

sad to see only 1 year old phone is not getting latest update anymore.

Is it true? It's kinda sucks. No custom roms and no update ..

We can see that that the number is in the color of lollipop, it's sure that MIUI 7 will bring lollipop to our phone
This thread is about all the information we can have and debate on the utility of this update.

I hope its gonna be available for mi3/mi4, lagfree and have lollipop kind of notification system, then I'll double think to use any kind of custom roms...
Great news!!
As i could see in leaked pics the system will look like v6, no mayor changes. Except of course, it will be lollipop based, i hope 5.1.1
Nothing to be ecstatic
Miui V7 launch and based to KitKat 4.4.4
¿Seriously Xiaomi?
Kitkat again... Miui7 sucks..

If you need Proof go to this article posted on sammobile read it first then click "VIA" and go to Güncelmiyiz website then search with your A series 2017 model Number
It would be nice (for Samsung conditions) if this update would be released as early as it is written there, but as I remember, also a turkish site (maybe even the same) said last year that the update for nougat will come in July but it came in August for Russia and in September for the rest so I doubt that the update will be released in May.

Not for everyone
The update is determined by IMEI, so you will only get the update when Huawei decides, there is nothing the user can do to speed up the process.

Considering the track record of many manufacturers that have SLOWED DOWN their devices (or increased power consumption), how's about this firmware?
I now get 2 full days (or more) on a single charge.
wouldn't like to go to 1-day again...

This schedule is only for China market, not for global market. So Global users have to wait may be for weeks or months for the EMUI 10 stable release for their Mate 20 Pro
I expect the final version for Europe by late December. We haven't even received an update for the beta yet...
i think we will get next year january for global release.. and p30 series will be on december global relase.
I received yesterday OTA update 10.0.0.154 with patch 01 (C432) with it and I want to go back to 9.1 because in description (which I read after update) says that Samsung watches might automatically disconnect from your phone after a certain period. This issue will be resolved in a later version.
This pisses me...

Yestel P30 upgrades or alternative ROMs

Hi,
I recently got a hold on a "Yestel P30". Nice perfs for a really, really cheap price.
Here is some technical information on the device.

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now, I'd like to update the beast (latest security updates puzzle me, Android 9 or even 10 ould be nice), or even better, switch to LineageOS.
Does anyone know if that was done before? I see no company website/forum or no info regarding anything close on the web.

The settings menu that you show doesn't look like Android 8.1 i t looks like Android 6 (maybe 5).
This phone is not legit with its Android versions, sorry that it happened.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
So, you mean they somehow counterfeited the Android Version variable?
