Clarity/resolution - LG G6 Real Life Review

The LG G6 has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.

The clarity and resolution is unbelievable, literally. The one thing I hate is the movies/videos I had that look great taking my whole screen on my other phone now look pixelated when full screen is used for them, but if I play them at 100% (original size) then everything looks even better than the video should look, which is scary. I need to program an upscaler to see if it could help smooth smaller videos out. OR... I guess I could program an app to make videos only use the top half of the screen. hmmm..

Screen Contrast from flyer to low

Hi,
i think the screen contrast from the flyer is to low be a brilliant display.
What is your opinion?
The contrast looks fine to me. I think it's sharp and clear, but not as good as Ipad's display. It's better than almost all Android tablets.
i think the screen looks good and I keep it on low brightness. I do increase the screen brightness when watching video.
Love the display. No problems here.

The contrast is on my my View is noticeably better than on my Kindle Fire, particularly when reading plain text. OTOH, though, the color balance is a little off. The display has an overall yellowish tinge. Not a fatal flaw, but definitely noticeable.
seems great to me,no tinges i can notice and movies etc are all crystal clear.
mind i dont use a screen protector anymore as that blurred it a bit and the glass seems virtually unmarkable.
overall its the best screen ive had and have a lot of laptops etc.
home veiwing is by the hdmi onto a 42" screen and is great also.

excellent display
Compared with phones in its pricing range, the Honor 5x is amazingly clear on video playback and doesn't suffer a lot of stutter when using HD playback.
Not bad but it's more power efficient than the ones in flagship phones
good
Best in the prize range
Resolution really fits the value for money.
Excellent for it's price.
Though coming from 2.5k resolution, 1080p seems a thing of the past
It's really nice that we can reduce the resolution to save battery.

I would rather put down my roms to lower resolution. It wont hurt the display
display is pretty good.
No complaint. Display is very good
The clarity, hmmm. Somewhat lacking for me.
display is good enough.
Clarity is 6/10 for the price.

Low light

At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Moto Z's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.

Low-light performance is decent.
On the standard model with the 1/3" 13MP Sony Exmor IMX214, it has its limits, which seem to be tighter than phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Google Pixel XL, but the wider f/1.8 aperture does help with letting more light in and OIS seems to be robust enough to handle handshakes until around a shutter speed of 1/8.
Photos tend to expose much brighter than they need to, which results in a bit more noise, so dialing it in with the exposure slider is recommended. The standard camera app includes a night mode that's enabled automatically based on conditions and overall, works quite well.
Overall, photos come out reasonably well, although exposure can sometimes land a bit too high, resulting in a bit more noise when left on its own. Photos also tend to have quite a bit of ISO noise but photo quality is overall quite solid, although it does require some user involvement.
The Moto Z performs quite decently in low-light and can even provide some nice shots with some coaxing and a steady hand, although options like the Google Pixel and the S7 may provide better overall performance. The larger 1/2.4" 21MP Sony IMX338 on the Z Force Droid Edition does provide better performance.
Low light it works okay, but to little little it does come out bad. I read in another place they recommend using HDR. I tend to leave it on and it has improved a lot of my low light pictures but most the time I turn on professional mode and mess with it. Seems like a hassle when inside a dark area like bar/club or indoors. Most are use to point and shooting a picture that messing with the controls feels like a hassle, but eventually you find a setting that works in that atmosphere and just go back to it.
Not a very good low light camera. HDR helps though.

You can adjust yellowness bro.. Pl check the forum.
Yellowish tint is to reduce eye stress.
I personally feel better to see warm colors than cooler ones..
Anyway GoTo Settings>Display>Advanced>Screen Color
Choose the coolness of colors according to your requirements.

Video quality

Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ come out. A higher rating indicates that videos are smooth (and not choppy) and that auto-focus works very well, and that the camera adjusts quickly to different lighting conditions while recording.

I quickly shot this and edited it on my Note 10 Plus this morning while at this event w/ the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. I have to say for shooting on a cell phone I'm impressed as all hell.

Hello,
Very nice shots, smooth. What were your settings?
I personnally did not find the super-steady sharp enough, like if my exynos had a hard time interpolating the frames. Super steady has some kind of grains or pixels things like grain fog that i do not like much.
I prefer by far the use of optical stabilization only, HD 30p or even better with HD 60p.
Be able to go directly from ultra wide to wide, or to zoom, is so nice.
I barely use UHD.

I should have paid attention to my settings at that time. I do like UHD 60FPS more than the non 60FPS as you get a lot less ghosting while panning shots.
Sorry I don't have an exact answer for you though for that shot as I was in the middle of that event, just did some shots and threw that together while sitting down for 2 minutes. If I waited to do it at home later that day I'm sure I would have done a better job on the audio levels and a few cuts.

No pb, thanks for the answear. I feel same about 60p vs 30p ; i'd rather have less ghosting and smoother shooting than stabilization ; that's why i like HD 60p, best of both world when hand held:good:
It is so easy to make a film with a few rushes just on the note10+, i love that editing feature especially with s-pen.
This was shot tonight at an event and I just quickly edited it on my Note 10 Plus 5G while in my car.
Nice, this low light sample is very nice, sharp.
Hello,
Just found out that "adobe RU for samsung" has a video recording feature, with manual settings.
Manual focus seems buggy to me, but the lock exposure is very nice.
Rush are added to gallery, i think there is no need to subscribe with monthly fee.
