Getting Magisk an/or systemless root on a H850 with stock N firmware? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hi,
Is it possible getting magisk or only systemless root on a h850 with stock Nougat firmware?
Tried already flashing Supersu in twrp 3.1 after setting "systemless=true" to /data/.supersu but suhide can't be installed.
Thank you. :good:

For systemless root all you need to do is flash latest SuperSU v2.78 SR1 in TWRP. Make sure your rom is not pre-rooted for it to work. Or no other root method used. Need Marshmallow rom.

Haven't used the above myself because don't want to change to phh's superuser and don't need Magisk.
If you just need xposed (but not systemless) see this thread.
If your trying to use suhide, the above systemless xposed may not work as you need a specific xposed for that.

so basically superSu will be replace by phh su, bro my concern is i have to flash everything (approx 6 zips) everytime after flashing OTA or recovery rom, as they said systemless root or xposed doesnt modify system, so i hope it will be remain in ROM even after flashing recovery ROM or ota, Now i m thinking not to flash beta's everyweek, i m on beta bcoz of MM.

I believe they would have to be flashed after every update. Not worth the trouble and If it is for "Pokemon Go", i don't believe it works for it anymore.

Systemless root is developed mainly for Marshmallow.
Latest stock firmware is Lollipop which uses system root.
So if you use custom ROMs like CM13/RR you can use SuperSU 2.78 SR1 (systemless) which works perfectly.
If you stick with latest stock, use old system SuperSU ~v2.4.
Speaking about magisk, it is stated:
Currently Known Not Working Devices (v6):
Sony devices generally: Haven't investigated why it won't work, if you know any addition quirks about Sony boot image modifications, please contact me

Does Magisk work for the Honor 5x?

I tried flashing magisk V7 and Phh's magisk root but the system says no root. I was on stock MM. I tried to search this forum but no results on Magisk.

The same goes for my honor 7, it fails at patching boot image, could not flash SuperSU even after that.
Flashed boot, Cust and system again, only then I could flash SuperSU again.
Guess our devices are not supported...

How's that the only way? What's the cause? Anyway can you kindly provide me with a guide on how to install magisk on MIUI 11 A9?
Thanks.
Can you please try with the latest/different version of Safety Net checker app?
I have come across many posts like these where a small bug in the app can cause it to show as "FAIL".

Does it necessary have to be Magisk Canary? Also which TWRP do you recommend? The official one from TWRP.me or some other.
PS: The installation of TWRP is through cmd with command „fastboot flash recovery *file_name*” right?
Thanks for your help and time

I am not sure about that. But I strongly believe that you would need to flash magisk again to root the new ColorOS ROM
Bro can you give your experience on what happened ?
