Galaxy Note 3 - wiped system with TWRP - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi and greetings to everyone on this forum,
I accidently wiped my OS using TWRP. I have been reviewing some threads about similar issue but haven't come up with a working solution on my Galaxy Note - (N9005 model). I already got a firmware from SamMobile and tried to flash it with Odin3 - it recognizes the port however it always seem to be hanging on "SetupConnection". The firmware I go is in .zip format, once I unzip it there's a .tar.md5 file inside and a dll named "S_DL.dll" (wonder what's this for?)
Also, is there a way to bring back my original recovery image?

Here's how I solved it:
1) Unzipped the firmware .zip file (I downloaded the firmware for my phone from sammobile.com), then unzipped the .tar.md5 file and uploaded the recovery.img file using adb:
adb push recovery.img
2) flash the recovery image using TWRP by selectin Install > image and selecting the recovery.img file just uploaded, choose recovery
3) Reboot into recovery mode using he power button + home + volume up/down
4) Choose reboot to bootloader from the menu
5) Update to stock firmware using Odin.
Then wait for the phone to reboot and install.
It seems that when the system was wiped the phone wasnt able to go into download mode as well. The only way that the firmware could be updated was by using the original Samsung recovery image and boot to Download mode.

LG L9 II D605 - Flash CWM via Flashify (help)

Hello. I have d605 with 20g and root via kingroot. I want flash varcains CWM. But when i execute loki flash, it says loki aboot version does not match device and fails. When i try flash zip for flash from other recovery - try flash via stock 3e recovery, it says instalaion aborted and error 255. So i want flash it via app Flashify, but its risk. Did someone already tried it? And how to do it? Select flash zip (in flashify) and select cwm*.zip or unpack recovery.img and select flash recovery (in flashify) and put unpacked recovery img?
PS it can be also twrp, i want just working recovery for flash CM11
Thanks for help.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify&hl=en
Features:
1 - Flash boot and recovery .img without even needing to go to recovery.

Which means you have to extract recovery.img from the zip file and flash recovery.img via flashify.
When I select flaah recovery in Flashify and select CWM .zip, it says i have to select file with .img file. And in that zip is the recovery.img file.

I think I explained it in a fairly simple way. You need the .img file, NOT THE .ZIP file.
It doesnt work . I unpacked recovery.img from cwm.zip. Then opened Flashify and selected recovery flash, and put unpacked recovery.img (before it i make recovery backup). It said flash successful and then i used reboot recovery. But it shows only black screen with text like "fastboot mode stared udf start". I must remove battery and put back, then it normal booted to android... Reboot to recovery always open the black screen with that text and is needed battery remove (fixed via recovery restore from backup in flashify, then reboot recovery opens stock 3e recov.)
Please What now? Thx

You can solve your problem with Multi Tools and -Unbrick from bootloop
Follow these steps in order to return it to fully stock:
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
Hope this helps you.

everything you need is in the Repository in my signature
if you want to reinstall the official rom {emui} you need to also install the stock recovery
Follow these steps to flash Stock ROM:
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Boot into bootloader mode by switching off the phone then pressing only the Vol DOWN button, and connecting it to PC simultaneously.
NOTE: If the manual flashing doesn't works or you get any errors, then first try only the force update method, i.e Putting the UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD and pressing Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously after switching off your phone.

It should work on any a500 variant, but it's tested only on A500FU
Thank you very much for providing support to the Galaxy A5. Installed with Flashify, tested on my A500M single SIM and running smoothly.
I tried other versions of TWRP 3.0.2 and always bootloop in the recovery. A greeting.

Yep, it should
Should I get the "-0" or the "-1" file? Ex.: "3.0.2-0". Btw, I have already twrp installed I think 3.0.1-1 if not wrong but I want to update the twrp version through windows, will it wipe my data of just update the bootloader?

the -# is not a twrp sources update, it's just a "release counter" of my builds, for example if i upload a new twrp build, i name it from *-0 to *-1
Also you don't need windows to update. you can go in twrp and advanced->terminal then run these commands:
$ tar xvf path/to/recovery.tar
$ dd if=/path/to/extracted/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
and then reboot
Update 3.1.0 is available. Download always in main post Enjoyyyy
It's worked perfectly in my Samsung A500M with MM 6.0.1
Thanks a lot

odin shows pass!! But when entered in recovery mode it shows no command.and also twrp manager is not showing.
Wiil this work on a500w? Tnx
It works on my SM-A500F. You finally fixed the Brightness bug that has been with every version of TWRP for the Galaxy A5 (2015).
Zonik ported the same recovery version (3.1.0-0), however it shows "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING" every time it boots up. On this port, it only shows when you boot to the recovery. Overall great job!
Btw 3.1.1-0 is now officially released. Would be nice if you ported that if you had the time

Working great on SM500G
@DeadSquirrel01 Hi Sir, just use the odin to flash it in ap section? No need to uncheck the option?
2. And also is that you tried to flash the supersu zip for rooting? I need the root on my 6.0 at A500F.
wee, new update is now out.
Changelog:
update twrp to 3.1.1
Support formatting system/data/cache to f2fs
Note that not all roms support f2fs, so, before using it ask to your rom's developer.
Also, that option will wipe the entire partition. So, if you choose to convert userdata partition to f2fs, it will also delete everything in /data/media/0 (/sdcard) which is not deleted in normal /data wipes.
The link to download it is the same, just choose the 3.1.1 one

Wat is the full model of ur phone? KII-L21?
Go to file depot and get the recovery for ur phone (B130 or B140) or better still get the stock rom from the huawei website of your country and use Huawei Extractor to extract the recovery file. You just have to make sure it tallies with ur software version. B130 or B140 or whatever it is. Copy the recovery file to adb folder and rename to 'recovery.img'
When you get the recovery file, boot into bootloader/fasboot mode using the code below in adb.
"fastboot reboot bootloader"
Then flash it using the code below.
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
This should get you stock recovery.
"fastboot reboot recovery" should get you into recovery. To show it's changed to stock.
Note: If you are not sure of the recovery to get, post a screenshot showing your phone information including the software version. Settings > About phone. That's the one. Cheers
Follow these steps and you are back on stock in no time:
As I don't know if you modified system or not, I'm gonna show you the full method.
