Your current rom deleted
Need 10 GB above free internal storage
Yes you root get back

Yes, you can restore a MIUI backup in TWRP.
Yes, it will overwrite whatever rom you currently have installed.
If internal storage space is an issue, just use a micro SD or USB drive connected via OTG cable.

[Q] Clean install of Omega series v 13

I came from CheckRom Revolution HD v6 (gingerbread), and i installed omega v13. When i cheched storage information i found that i have only 2.5 Gb free on the usb storage (internal SD). There's still apps data from my previous rom (checkrom).
So, how do i perform a clean install of omega v13 ?
Thank you.

Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
Install correct stock firmware .
Root and install custom rom .
jje
Thank you for your reply.
I'll try it and post the result.
It didn't work, still have system data from the previous gingerbread ROM
Found it, what i needed is Hard reset
Thank you
If you wiped sd card more so if you formatted sd card data cache and system you should not be able to boot as sd card is empty no rom no os no nothing .
Hence flash stock rom via Odin that will wipe again anything on the phone .

It's look that u have alot of things on the internal stroage.
download from the playstore "DiskUsage" for free and start to delete things =]

[Q] Internal and External Memory formatted while in recovery while installing a mod

So this is what happened with me today , I was on a 4.2.2 based ROM with kernel Dorimanx 9.5 . Had some stability issue so i began flashing a new ROM also based on 4.2.2 . I flashed ROM , flashed gapps and was now installing a few mods . I was flashing Awesomebeats v5 zip and it was installing suddenly my device went back to recovery. i now selected install zip from Internal sdcard and voila it returned error , same for external sdcard . I didn't know what to do then so i rebooted it back in recovery as ROM had already been installed so there was this ROM's CM recovery was there. Now i selected Install zip from sdcard and to my surprise it was formatted , same with external sdcard.
i booted into the ROM then and installed a file manager , same there no data.. Why has my external and internal memory has been formatted ?
SO i tried recovery methods of data given there on xda , managed to recover just junk png files and other junk files . I just want pics from my camera to be back , any idea how could i get them back ? The internal memory is still empty so old data will not have been overwritten. Photo recovering apps are not helping .
Please help
Anyone ? Please help.
I think no-one can help you (now i useing with siyah/philz/stock ),it happened to me too before a year

Restoring data backed up from a different ROM?

Hi,
I had got a CWM back up of my stock ROM with some modifications of some system files, Xposed, BBS, Greenify & Amplify installed previously. Now I had flashed a an Miui custom ROM. With this ROM, there is no option to install apps to SD Card(external). I had flashed a zip that converts external SD to internal and vice versa. Now my question is: If I restore 'data' from the previously taken CWM back up, then will I face any problem? As my default internal memory is the external SD, then when apps are restored will it get stuck up midway as the external memory size now is reduced from 26 GB to 4 GB? I had used Link2SD after creating a 2nd partition. Now, how can I get those appa stored in the 2nd partition? One thing I observed is, Xposed V80 is not working with this Miui custom ROM.(getting boot loop)

step to downgrade from Pie to Miui

Hi i want to ask how is the right to to flash from Pie to Miui??
I do direct flash and i got encrypted so i format internal. But after that i still got encrypted.
Any help??
Thanks
in twrp (same twrp which you used to instal pie ) go to advanced wipe and select everything (except micro sd) and now copy your rom to internal and flash it . it should work

Cant access internal storage in recovery

Hello guys,
i wanted to use a custom rom, so i unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom (i could access the internal memory from windows while in recovery). Now i wanted to use another rom, so i boot in orange fox, do format data, wipe and reboot to recovery. But now, i cant access the internal storage anymore. Windows explorer shows me the device, but i cant acess it. I have the global version Redmi Note 9 pro. I tried pitch black recovery as well as Mauronofrio's TWRP. I also tried to flash the Stock Rom from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com with the official mi flash tool and followed this instruction (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/unable-to-decrypt-fbe-device.4206579/page-3#post-84370443). But then again, i could not access the internal storage from windows and the moved files from step 4 where not there anymore.
When i boot to the original stock rom, run all the setup and stuff and then boot again to recovery, i am able to access the internal storage. but then again, after format data i cant access it anymore and cant copy any custom rom on the phone. What to do?
Use adb sideload to install the ROM directly from your PC.
Not all recoveries support it though.
LineageOS recovery does so that's the reason why I use it.

Just few alternate method without adb/PC:
1. Use an sdcard to store roms, recovery backups...
2. Few days ago forget to copy the rom to sdcard (and already formatted the data), used an otg cable and installed the rom from usb-stick without any problem.
3. Flash the rom from internal storage, format data and boot to system.
Always use latest recovery (now ofox 11.0.1).
