Tizen on T-Mobile? - Tizen Software Development

Ares there any Tizen phones that work on T-Mobile in the US? If so how do I get one?

At the moment Tizen Mobiles are only on few countries really available...
For instance India... is main market for all Tizen Mobiles:
SM-Z130H
SM-Z300H
SM-Z200F
and also incoming Tizen 3 device:
SM-Z400F
We in Europe have big problems to catch1 device... via Ebay or order in other ways...
No idea, if SM-Z200M is closer to US region...
Look here, at the moment only rumour, because Tizen in US market is long time Running Gag.

I am not sure if SM-Z200M is really for South America...

[Q] Where in Europe can I buy Samsung Galaxy SII with NFC

I wanted to buy a Samsung Galaxy S II. The webshop where I would buy it, has a pre-order price of 549€: http://www.smartphoneshop.be/product/123781/samsung-galaxy-s-ii.html
However that model is without NFC chip, so I cancelled my order. They also told me that Samsung will not release an Galaxy S II with NFC for the Belgian market.
So my only remaining option is to buy one abroad. I'm not asking for generic web shops, I ask for very specific experiences with web shops that are able to deliver to Belgium.
I have also found out that there are different variations of the Galaxy S II. As far as I know, these are the main differences:
processor: Nvidia Tegra or Exynos --> for now, it's equal to me.
display: AMOLED or LCD --> I prefer one with AMOLED
NFC or not --> I really want one with NFC.
I already know that the UK is out of the question (for now), because the UK models don't have NFC. I read somewhere that models with NFC may come available for the UK in the coming months, no date confirmed yet. Maybe in June? If that is true then I can wait another month, no problem.
How about other neighboring countries? Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy,...
Of course this would have to be a phone that is not locked to one telco.
I have not found the answers of these very specific questions in the FAQ. Why am I asking this on XDA-Developers? Because I want to dive into Android development, and I have some ideas that include NFC technology. And why a Galaxy S II? I was in Barcelona at the MWC when Samsung launched it, I got to play with it, and I was really impressed.
So far .

Thanks. I overlooked those, and I guess my initial search was a bit too generic.

[Q] Will a Korean Galaxy S2 work in the UK?

Hi guys,This is my first post here, this is an excellent forum, keep up the good work2! I am living in the UAE where it looks like the SGS2 wont see the light of day till Q3 2011, I cant wait till then so I am looking at my options. I am not very comfortable with ordering it online from sites like Expansys or Handtec, so would prefer getting it from a physical store.
I will be visiting South Korea very soon and have heard that the SGS2 is already on sale there. My questions are:
1) Are the Korean models (sold exclusively through the carriers I hear) fully unlocked?
2) I will be going to study in Manchester for the next two years, so would like to use the SGS2 there. Seeing that S Korea, UK (and the UAE) use the same GSM and 3G bands - 900/1800 and 3G 2100, I understand its possible but are there any other problems that could crop up? I cant find any specs online for the Korean SGS2.
Thank you!
[EDIT]
Guess noone knows or must be thinking that I didnt search before starting a new thread. Thanks to those who did help! Found the answer from a variety of sources, just listing here in case anyone needs it:
The Korean SGS2 are not quad-band, and are physically thicker due to the inclusion of NFC and a TV tuner. Some carriers have different (non global) MMS standards as well. I have been informed that they are probably locked as well and available on contract to locals only. Also the Indian SGS2 has NFC and costs just 675$ to 700$, guess I will just get it from India!
I will tell you what i know.(it is not 100 sure.)
You are correct that there are three different models of SGS2 in korea.
If you want to use the phone in UK,
You should buy SHW-250K( from KT, one of the service provider)
it meets the mms standard of other countries.
Once again this information is not sure.
I need someone's confirmation for this.
Thanks.
If you're going in on a standard tourist visa then you will NOT be able to buy a phone, even outright. Phones are only available to locals and people on long term visas.
Yeah, get it from India.

[Q] Are Samsung firmwares for different countries. developed in the same place?

Hi All,
I am hoping someone knows the answer to this. I am in Australia and still waiting on the Note 2 4.4 F/W release whilst most other counties got it months ago.
Does anyone know are Samsung firmwares for different countries all developed from the same place with the same dev team etc or is each region responsible for pushing out the firmwares for the devices in their region with their own dev teams etc?
I ask because my carrier has been advising since July it was coming since August and since then each month they post a new update saying sorry delayed again new ETA..
The thing is, this behavior is not limited to Kit Kat, this device only nor is it only limited to carrier branded firmwares too...
As an example the same thing happened with 4.3 was released elsewhere and months later we got with the initial released scheduled for early December with it being delayed and finally dropping in February. Furthermore other Galaxy flagship models suffer the same fate with the Aussie F/W always being delayed. And now let me mention the fact that my friend has a Galaxy Note 10.1 tab N8010 which is wifi only and unbranded so is only dependent on Samsung making the F/W available directly and it is still waiting for 4.4
I wanted to state that because Samsung are trying to pull the wool over my eyes with their replies to email questioning the delays in Aus telling me it's the carriers fault for the delay and that in fact the carriers have the F/W already and just don't want to release it. I know that is BS because the Australian unbranded non carrier reliant 4.4 has not already been released yet and before Samsung can give the carrier their firmware thy have to develop the unbranded version first and then make a version based off this with the carrier bloatware etc..
Anyway I am curious to know where these F/W are developed because if Australia has to hire their own dev teams and push out the F/W releases for Aus devices then it makes sense why we are so delayed clearly the Aus dev team is crap! But if all the F/W worldwide are developed from the same place then I don't know why AUS F/W are so delayed.
For the record I am already on the Nordic 4.4 months ago because of this constant issue but that's beside the point I would much prefer to have my own carrier version loaded up with the carrier modems etc esp since I want to sell it soon so I want to sell it loaded with the correct stock F/W
Thanks!

R750 Gear S

I'm very excited about buy a Gear S and see some for sale on ebay from South Korea for around £220, much less than what is expected to retail for in the UK. What could I expect the difference to be in the model compared with the UK one or what problems could I face. (I am happy to trust the retailer) My question is about the watch functionality.

I am hazarding a guess you might not get OTA updates and there's the obvious warranty issue. But the cellular bands are the same and the internal specs are the same. Language is determined by your phone on pairing so as long as you don't need warranty service you should be ok.
Bear in mind you could be stung for import duty if it's picked out by HM Customs

OTA might not be the issue at all. South Korea doesn't have GSM carriers (CDMA exclusively). They do have 3G UMTS/HSPA and LTE from some carriers but not sure which frequency bands they use. Besides, they also probably come with Korea Language UI only on the watch.
I'm not sure I'm prepared to take the risks on lack of updates potentially and Korean language interface. £220 down the drain if it is unusable.
Have a read here first, i am telling you cause i have the japanes versión

Question Support for Australian Carriers?

G'day my fellow XDA'ers (is there such a term).
It's been many years since I have posted.
I have been keenly eyeing the Experia 1 III. With the delay in their launch, yes I know it's available now, Google is now on the precipice of launching the Pixel 6 Pro, which I am also considering.
The key functions I am looking for is the camera and video. I don't shoot alot of video, but when I do, it's for auditions.
The Sony would seem the logical choice here. I also want to use it for everyday snaps and I hear the night-shot does not exist. The Pixel will have this of course.
My questions are:
1. What effort is required to connect the Experia 1 III to Australian carriers Optus or Telstra?
2. I have been reading that I have to load a mod or something like that?
3. What is required of that? And then if so,
4. What do you need to do to get upgrades?
This could be a deal breaker for me.
It's sold by Kogan in Aus, so if you buy it there and it doesn't work with your carriers then its defective and you just return it...
@roughdiamon
Any one else have any suggestions or know what it will take to get the 1 iii to work on Aussie telcos ?
Mainly looking for VoLTE to work.
Apparently it works with VoLTE and WiFi calling on Kogan according to this person: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=289469&page_no=1#2775602
There's just not enough information though. I'd like to know more for New Zealand because I'm considering one myself but it sounds like a pain in the ass to get it working optimally because they're not officially sold here. I'm getting really sick of all these phone manufacturers not selling their phones in more than a select few countries... I don't want more of Samsung's curved screen, Knox-ridden BS...
I just ordered the 1 iii from Kogan, it comes with a free 1month sim, i'll test and see how it pans out.
How did you go with the Kogan Sim?
I have the iii on Optus but no luck with Volte but happy to switch carrier's if it enables Volte.

Due to Kogan's 3rd party suppliers incompetence my phone has been delayed up to now, I gustimate it will arrive end of this week if I'm lucky if not next week.
Will update once it arrives.
