Unable to factory reset a phone (tried multiple options) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I got this phone that completely stopped working as soon as you unlock it. It just gives “has stopped” messages endlessly. (example video below)
What I already tried:
Factory reset while in the settings of the phone itself
Wipe Data / Cache in fastboot mode
Tried to connect the phone on the PC and reset it threw the command line
Nothing works, it does say it has wiped the phone while in fastboot mode but when you start the phone I come back in exactly the same screen with all the data intact.
Any advice?

Nobody has a idea on what to try ?

No recovery mode you can try from, or any way to reflash the firmware?

Removed battery while Factory Reset

I selected in recovery mode: Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
The screen went blank and I had to remove the battery.
Now the phone is jammed and won't start again. The white THL blinks and the screen goes black. Also it won't go to the recovery mode.
Is there anything I can do?
You can check here to see if they have the firmware for your phone (which you didn't tell us the model, so no clue): http://www.thlmobilestore.com/news/
If so, you should be able to use the FlashTool to rewrite the firmware back to your device. There are instructions for that on the site too. Good luck.

No command error - after factory reset

OK i was having a lot of problem with my samsung s3. It was hanging a lot. The phone hangs every time. so was fed up with that a lot.
So i tried to factory reset from the reset menu. The phone switched off and after restarting it is not booting. It gives error - No command with a green adnroid laying down.
I dont know about the firmware version and modem and etc. But it was on the India Stock Rom no root.
I am able to go to the download menu only, no booting and no reovery mode..
Flash a stock firmware with Odin, then factory reset again in recovery.

Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Stuck on Logo Screen

Hi, I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and everything was working fine. A couple of months later, I put the tablet in airplane mode because I didn't want to drain the battery when I wasn't at home. When I got home and removed it off airplane mode, the device appeared to be frozen so I held the power down to restart it; this normally fixed most issues I've had with it.
Only this time, it boots to the screen with the Samsung logo and is just stuck there. I was wondering since I did root my tablet, is there any way to restart it properly without doing a factory reset which will cause me to lose all my data/apps, etc...
Did you try to restart device from recovery?
Could you please describe what you mean by boot to recovery?
Hold power+volume down, you will be directed to recovery, there choose reboot device, if that wont help try factory reset, or flash stock rom through Odin
Any solutions that would not wipe the data?
If not is there a way for me to access the data and save it prior to me doing the factory wipe like hooking it up to my pc and transferring the data?
I have recovery but noticed I never took a backup. I am wondering if I did a backup now and did a factory wipe; would it wipe out the recovery/root? If not; would I be able to restore the backup and get my data back?
I tried the wiping cache but no luck; still just goes to the logo screen and no further.

I had this same problem on my tab. However, I just got out of it using the RECOVERY mode as was explained above.
It will not wipe your data. Just choose the option to reboot the system and that will fix it for you. I had same concern about wiping my data so when I saw that reboot option, I selected it and it has helped to rectify my issues. My tab has finally boot completely and I'm once again able to use my tab.

MDM does not allow factory reset SM-T230

Someone please help.
The last three nights I've been trying to recover an SM-T230 UK Samsung Tab 4 Wifi to factory ROM. This was a former live demo unit, I managed to get very cheaply.
The following is what I've done thus far:
- Removed Samsung Retail Mode using the 5444 code followed by the enabling of the factory reset function using the code M729Q16K8546.
This left me with a firmware that seemingly worked fine.
- I then went to recover to stock (minus demo mode) using home, vol up and power. When I selected the recovery option the message "MDM does not allow factory reset".
- Rebooted automatically. So checked the recovery option in the operating system. This was greyed out, so couldn't be selected.
- I then downloaded the stock firmware and recovered using Odin. This gave me back the option to recover within the operating system. But still the MDM arose when trying to using the button method to recover.
- I installed TWRP recovery firmware. Used this to wipe all data and recover the tablet to factory condition. This removed the OS at the same time. Upon reboot allowed the device to be rooted with SU.
- Then put the device into download mode, and re-installed the stock rom.
The device booted into the setup screen, as if completely wiped and reinstalled. However, although I can now recover from inside the menu, MDM message still shows if I try the pwr+volup+home buttons. I have tried multiple times to wipe and clear cache. The device works, but I need that button recovery method.
Sorry for the long post.
Thanks,
Carl.

Serious Factory Reset issues

So my phone is in a terrible state, app permissions dot work properly in google apps, settigns backup recovery . factory reset does not work.
I cannot get my win 10 machine to connect have followed all tutorials, under device managerit shows up being as portable device. (Erro Code 19).
I tried Simple factory reset and it just restarts,
My wifi will not switch on.
Can someone please tell me the simplist way to do a full factory reset on this device, i can access the internet using my cellular network.
Many thanks
Millay
Can you use Flash Tool? I mean my computer does not recognise my P9000 but when I turn the device off, prepare Flash Tool, connect the USB cable and turn the device on it works.
I think that should be the most easy way to perform factory reset/flash the stock ROM.

I dont have the device yet but im thinking you could factory reset going to fastboot and doing fastboot erase userdata, no recovery mode needed and should most certainly work
