Just wanted to share that I just got a notice about an update for my SK Telecom Korean model LG G6. Wish I could tell you what it's updating but I don't know Korean. Hopefully someone can pitch in ?

I don't speak Korean either, but I used OCR to translate the text. Anyways, here it is:

I wish I could have a quad dac, don't even have a g6 yet, but I want to contribute to development as much as I can. After I sell my s7 edge, I will get the g6 ASAP, put it on eBay but nobody is buying it.

Nope. Under the edit tab you can put that it's rooted and if the bootloader is unlocked

So I was reading the review of the Meizu MX and really liked the change in its UI. The device is based on the same Exynos 4210 base but does have a 640x960 display. Coming from a complete non-dev my question is, is/would anyone be interested in this port (Device soon to be released) and if so would any developers be interested in taking up the challenge? As I can't help on the dev side I would be more than happy to give access to a 1GBit 100GB file dump that could perhaps come in useful. Oh and here are some pics of the UI:

Seems the device went on sale on the 1st so a ROM dump shouldn't be too far behind
I picked up one of these bad boys in Beijing on the first and will be back in the US in a couple of days. If someone tells me how to do a dump i would be happy to help.

You need a dump first. I might provide one if/when i get the phone, i got a friend buying it for me. Also, M9 is getting a firmware upgrade soon with the same UI improvements, so unpack that one.

That would be pretty sweet The advantage with the MX is that it runs on the same processor so non-dev me figured it would be easier to port from

As a platform (the HW) i couldnt be happier; snappy reponse, little hang time, and just a pleasing feature phone to use. Certainly comparable to any new i/android device, if not better.
The SW is certainly built for a moce Asian audience in terms of a more limited (at least on the surface) iOS version of Android. I certainly miss the flexibility of CM on my EVO4G. There are plenty of reviews out there in the world for details, but as a user of the stock FLYME OS, i am quite happy. I would be over the hill if some of the very cool features of FLYME were integrated into a CM7 build, adding an application bar/menu, and some other "standard" CM7 customization features.

Click on the photo you want reassigned and use a photo, for that contact, that is hd quality.. If not the photo will be a little pixelated

I just flashed this on my T-Mo T889 Note 2 and it works! I'm using 4.3 DN3 for the N7105.
Dialing out looks a bit funny. If the number doesn't have a pic then the Pic of the phone isn't centered. Doesn't affect anything just visual....

Not sure why it would not be working.. either that or your contacts and phone will force close..
Did you flash it? And if you did make sure the files are named the same..
Yes I have flashed it and file name is same as required.
But there is no effect of it

Sounds like stuck pixels you could try a few of these techniques
From the research I did on this, the best way was to Vibrate the whole device very fast but with a small amount of movement. (Kind of like how a hair trimmer vibrates , small amount but very fast)
Also when we have RAW ability they will be even less noticeable .
Duno if this info will help . but I would try for an exchange if you are unable to fix/live with these blue pixels.

I'm thinking of replacing the phone once I find another phone in mind to buy.
I'll sell my new replacement and get a new phone [emoji12].
My phone comes with 2 years warranty and Has 2 different warranty. One from Samsung Middle East and Another one from the company I bought it from.

Optimistic is the only thing you can be when u have to rely on an manufacturer to get updates.
The upgrade thing sucks on Android.

I disagree. Android is partly built around the open source mentality. One of the reasons that some phones don't get more than 2 years support is because the manufacturer has not released proper sources. I think it's in customers' responsibility to shoot emails to manufacturers and ask for proper sources as obliged by GPL.
Android phones with proper sources are still being supported even if (some of them) they are 5 years old. Just take a look on CM nightly support. A semi-open source scheme is close to perfect to be the one that's getting the most support as long as the manufacturers do what the law obliges them... In fact I don't think that many embedded systems (other than certain android phones) have got more support in the long term.
We haven't even gotten lollipop 5.1.1 update yet so I doubt we will be getting any marshmallow update any time soon!!
App TwinIn the nougat update for the Honor 8, a new app called App Twin shows up in the settings. Right now the only apps listed as compatible are WhatsApp and Facebook. I setup the facebook with two different accounts and it works well.
When you activate twin app, a second shortcut for that app will show up on your homescreen. Hopefully when the official version of nougat comes out, more apps will be compatible. For now, here are some screenshots for you.

I did see that yesterday and wondered what it was.
I'm very impressed with this new ROM (beta test) it has so much extra and has really changed the phone.
My flat mate has the new pixel and after this new update our honor 8 is running better and looking better than the pixel.
We made a real good choice with this phone.

Even I too felt proud of the new features in emui 5 and also the camera quality

Yes mate it's a wonderful phone.
I'm using the themes and fonts that are available.
I'm not feeling the need to root and use custom ROMs.
The fact that we will keep getting updated for 2 years is a real winner.
I love this phone !!

Hi all
I enabled the twin app and set whatapp for continue to work after Lodi screening. but after lock screen the second whatapp notification work only if i open it.
Anyone with some Iside?
Can anyone who tried whatsapp in twin mode tell me, whether both instances of whatsapp use all the phones contacts?
Need the app twin for skype, but it's not available

I've quite the same problem.
If i use the twin app of WhatsApp notifications don't arrive in time, neither of original account nor of cloned one. All accumulated notifications arrive just when i open the app.
Does anyone have same issue?
Is there any fix of this?
