Hello to all, i was bored so i started to modding the samsung's camera app. I tried to change the audio quality (from 12.8kbps, 8khz, amr => 128kbs, 32khz, aac) but our phone/kernel doesnt support aac encoding (?)
I also tried to change the output 3gpp video to mp4 without luck.
I managed to remove the low battery limitation which was preventing you to take photos/videos when your battery was lower than 15 percent.
Features
Removed low battery limitation.
Power button acts as Shutter button. (Only for camera, not for camcorder)
Geotagging toggle option.

How to install
A) Using CWM recovery
Put the zip in your sdcard.
Go in CWM recovery
Install zip from sdcard
Choose zip from sdcard
Find it and press the home button
When it finishes press reboot system now
B) Using Root Explorer
Extract the Camera.apk from the zip (system/app/)
Put it in your sdcard
Navigate to it with root explorer, and copy it to /system/app/
Reboot your phone
Note: This works on deodexed roms. If your rom is odexed remove /system/app/Camera.odex file with root explorer.

Is geo tagging disabled? Camera fails when it is enabled on default camera aap. using another camera mod, but in it, video recorder doesn't work.
Does this mod fix these? Fingers crossed.

This might sound odd to you. But how about making the Menu button act as the shutter button? Its at a more convenient place and the back button already serves the purpose of quitting the app.

Hi, does anyone know how to get the Xperia Active ST17i pressure sensor to work with custom roms?
I can see 2 ROMs where it is mentioned: here, that pressure sensor support was added to one of the MIUI ROMs, and here in the NextGen v8 ROM, but I'm not sure what was does to enable it. Can somebody tell me if it is straightforward to do for other ROMs? By that I mean is there a file I could flash via CWM/Fastboot that would let me add support to an existing custom ROM that doesn't have the sensor enabled? (I am currently running a ROM no longer supported by "kamarush".)

I found an answer with the help of Ayush Singh, and a file that domy_xda posted here. I have attached it again here just in case.
You need to unzip the attached and place the file "sensors.default.so" in \system\lib\hw\ and then reboot (You'll need write access to the root using ES File Explorer or Root Manager. I made a back up of the existing sensors.default.so file first, and as soon as I copied the attached file, using ES File Explorer, the phone spontaneously rebooted.) I can confirm it is working with apps including SyPressure
Unrar the video folder copy the video folder in root/system/media/lockscreen/
HOW TO APPLY : Go to theme (Tested miui 10 beta),click the extreme right icon( smiling face) in bottom,then go to wallpaper, chose my videowallpaper
DOWNLOAD
U can use any video as video wallpaper.
1. Create .videowallpaper folder inside MIUI folder in sd.card
2. copy any video of your choice inside this folder
3. delete the.extantion of video. Example : suppose u copy Nature_hdr_60fps_4k.webm , then just delete .webm
4. Now apply video wallpaper from my wallpaper section in theme app

Hi, I also installed MIUI 10 beta but the theme app is gone. I installed it from apkmirror but it still does not appear in the app drawer., and I didn't find "root/system/media/lockscreen/" on the device by plugging it through USB. Could you explain a little bit more how you did this, please ?

if not theme coming plese flash the rom again hope this time u will see the destination folder. u can also creaet folder inside miui folder in sdcard.Name that folder as ".videowallpaper" dont forget to add dot.Now place any video file inside that folder and delete the extension of video file. Ex suppose u place nature4k.mp4 then delele .mp4, so file become nature4k.Now apply the video wallpaper from theme ME section

Hey Guys. This is a tutorial to bring out the best in your phone camera by installing GCAM. In this case we will be installing a made for exynos variant of gcam called ZGCAM. Same software optimization but built for exynos.
To get all features follow this step by step guide. (HDR+, PANORAMA, LENS BLUR,VIDEO ETC)
First download this apk from my media fire link. (The actual website will push ads to you which no one likes)
Link removed.
Download and Install this .APK file.
At first when you install it, only video and other minor features will work, but camera mode won't work.
To fix this we must use a custom config file to use ZGCAM for our specifications.
First Go to your default files app
When u install ZGCAM a new folder will popup in your internal storage (Phone Not SD) and it will be called GCam
If a "Configs" folder isn't present, create one (inside gcam directory).
After this download this file - M31CONFIG.xml

Move this file from Downloads to Gcam-Configs folder.
After this open ZGCAM (on the home screen it will be called camera with a red shutter logo)
Touch and hold a black are in the ui at the bottom for around 3 seconds (not any of the buttons). After that an option will popup, saying RESTORE CONFIGS, and after that because u moved the config file, u will get an option to restore this config.
After that u will have working GCAM for your samsung 31.

This mod enables [email protected] on front&back camera, you must turn off image stabilization in settings to work and ofc this is for rooted devices on stock roms, file included must be copied in /system/cameradata, If you want rename original camera-feature.xml 1st and then copy modded file and reboot phone.
