P9000 Lite with CM13 - Trying to flash TWRP, bricks my phone. - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to flash TWRP because I want to make a backup of my phone, because I need to do a factory reset. And I need to do a factory reset because Wifi and Bluetooth aren't working...
So I installed the necessary driver for Windows 10, downloaded TWRP and when I flash it with Flash Tool, I actually get the message saying "Download OK"...but in reality, my phone doesn't boot at all. So I have to do this thing where you unplug your battery and flash it again (I don't flash a full ROM, just click on Download again while the Scatter file for TWRP is still selected). This is what happens every time I tried to install TWRP. On top of that, it seems like I have no recovery whatsoever now!
What am I doing wrong? I've already read from somebody in the thread for TWRP that he/she got it to work with CM13, so the issue can't be that I'm using CM13.

Do you really use TWRP for P9000 Lite or do you use TWRP for P9000 normal Version??

Nono, it's the Lite version.
This one https://forum.xda-developers.com/el...ent/recovery-twrp-3-0-2-1-p9000-lite-t3366126

The only other Version I can find is this:
http://www.needrom.com/download/p9000-lite-twrp-3-0-0/
I don't know if this helps you

Nope, that didn't work either.
Oh well...I've just flashed a Stock-ROM with a recovery that lets me flash CM13 again. I used Titanium to make backups of my apps. Wifi and Bluetooth still don't work but that doesn't belong in this thread.
Thank you though.

[Q] soft brick question when flashing Cyanogenmod 11

After I attempted to install the CM 11 preview that just came out it seems as though I get stuck in a boot loop. I am able to get into the bootloader but not the recovery. The reason I think I am stuck in the boot loop is because I did not know you had to flash the boot.img that was inside the .zip file, and went ahead and flashed the .zip in my current recovery. I am just wondering if I could still fastboot flash the boot.img file without causing even more problems.
Yes, in the forum the ROM was posted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2-tablet/orig-development/z2-tabletdevelopment-cm11-android-4-4-t2809793) but I guess I didn't see that he said it was in the zip :silly:.
Nonetheless, I just don't want to hard brick the device so that is why I am asking. Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!

Just to clarify first, do you have a 4G tablet or wifi version? And which one did you flash (castor or castor_windy)

Opps, meant to mention that. I have the castor_windy version (Wi-Fi) model and flashed the castor_windy zip. I also meant to mention that I have an unlocked bootloader with the CWM based recovery (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708194). I don't think this is as important but I do have the 16GB storage. I earlier said I could not get into that recovery that I have installed, but the violet light still goes on when I boot, but nothing else.

Ok no problem, Have you tried flashing CWM through fastboot, then reinstalling ROM through CWM?
If that can't be done, Can you flash this castor_windy version https://mega.co.nz/#!mJ5VTATR!Rb9pX0a4drAkVX53Mjf6_vZr8FqX0UzXcf1nSTzj_Fk
through fastboot, then immediately flash CWM to secure a recovery.
The link is the castor_windy ROM without having to flash a boot.img separately. Thats your safest solution instead of flashing boot.img
Thank you, just re-flashing the recovery from the thread I linked seemed to do the trick. Maybe I will try and flash Cyanogenmod later now that I got the stock ROM working again. At least I was smart enough to make a nandroid backup in CWM before hand though!
Again, thanks alot!

Sent from my Xperia Z2 Tablet Wifi using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Hi all,
bad day for me... It seems that I bricked my Z2 Tablet tonight.
At the beginning, I just wanted to install CM11.
My Z2 is a SGP512 Wifi only. So, regarding the page http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/07/12/cyanogenmod-11-nightly-builds-start-for-xperia-z2-tablet/ , it says : "There are currently nightly builds for the Wi-Fi variants (SGP511, SGP512) of the Xperia Z2 Tablet under codename “Castor Windy”" .
So I downloaded Castor Windy and put it in the tablet.
After that, I did had to install a recovery. I succeeded to install XZDualRecovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2794175). Once installled, I went into TWRP Recovery , started to wipe all. And next step, I began to install zip Castor Windy. At this time, TWRP tells me that Castor Windy is not for my tablet model. And I have to use Castor. Problem. I wiped all. So, I have to mount the Tablet systems and drives to put the new Castor zip downloaded. But I'm unable to mount. Nothing is mounted. I tried to use adb to connect while I was in TWRP but nothing worked. I wanted to use adb to send on one of partitions the new downloaded rom. I was unable to do that.
Finally, I shut down my tablet. I took the SD Card to put it into my PC and to put on it the downloaded Rom. And when I wanted to restart the Tablet, only the Sony Logo appears and I'm not anymore able to enter in recovery mode. ADB and Fastboot fail to detect my tablet.
I'm totally lost, and I fear that all is lost.
Please, help me, I just would like to enter recovery and flash Castor Rom.... :crying:
Thanks a lot by advance.
Tom.

Elephone P9000 only boots to TWRP

Hello There!
I have the following problem:
I followed this Guide: http://www.chinamobilemag.de/tutorials/elephone-p9000-root-twrp-tutorial.html ,
and installed the drivers etc. Then, by using SP FlashTool, i installed TWRP 3.0.
Then with TWRP, i made a backup, cause i knew something would go wrong..
Well, after that, i installed the SuperSU.zip through TWRP.
After that, my Phone was stuck on the Elephone Bootanimation, so i decided to restore the backup.
But now, my Phone only boots to TWRP. Is there anything i can do, to get my phone working again?
Thanks alot guys

You're using the wrong TWRP version, use 3.0.2-1

Installing any new cynogenmod/mokee ROM always fails

Hi, I am trying to install cynogenmod or mokee rom and the device always gets stuck at cyno/mokee logo. it never goes beyond that. tried to wait for half an hour(waited for one hour twice).
Here is what I am doing:
I used TWRP but it wasnt working so i installed CWM, in both the recoveries I was wiping everything except sd card storage as my zip files were in the card. after that i flashed zip files(ROM & GAPPS). after that i rebooted to system. Am I doing it wrong? I am currently on 4.4.4 stock rom. Need help.
Thank you.
No one to help?

The problem wasn't with the recovery and I wasn't doing anything wrong. It was really too bad to know that the rom version I was installing had a bootloop bug in it. So I had tried two previous versions but they too had the same bug. And unfortunately I tried CONTINUOUSLY for two long days to install those same bugged ROMS as if God has put me in frustration mode. Tech fooled me right, lol.
Grab the November 8 version of Cyanogemod. There are issues with the newer updates.

Can't flash TWRP from stock Android 10

Somehow I feel like a noob. I wanted to see what the new stock Android 10 was like, so I installed it via Odin. But now I can't get back to a custom ROM because TWRP fails to flash. The tablet's bootloader is still unlocked and I've enabled Dev mode. Download the latest twrp-3.4.0-3-gts4lvwifi.img.tar and put it in AP. When I click start, I get this error "Can't open the specified file (Line 1892)"
edit: Still don't know what I did wrong the first time, but I started over from scratch, flashed stock 10 again, vbmeta, twrp and it worked. Of course I let it boot and set Dev mode between each flash. Once into TWRP, formated data, wiped and install cDroid and gapps and it is now working.

Glad you got it working. Figured I'd mention though there is a newer TWRP. 3.4.0-4 didn't give me any issues.

Stock a10 sucked?

xiaomi mi 11 5g (renoir) stuck in fastboot

i tried to flash a custom rom (DotOs) on the device, but when I had to wipe all data (on TWRP) before installing the zip, the option to wipe System and Vendor wasnt there, so I selected the options I had except internal storage. I figured it was fine and attempted to flash the rom and reboot anyways. who would ve guessed it was a terrible idea? clearly not me...
how do I get it back to a usable state and, possibly, manage to install the custom os properly? any help is appreciated.

i could not. it looks like that to unbrick xiaomi devices you can use Mi flash tool program to flash the original firmware, but my Mi flash won t work or recognise my device, here s what it says(first pic):
i even tried on another computer but gave me the same error. older versions dont seem to work either... even xiaomi mi tool v2 couldnt help, and although it did recognize the phone, it gets an error too. here it is:
is there any other way before I try EDL mode?
Net Framework installed? Maybe a runtime error
