ROM [7.0] G950USQU1AQC9 Stock - untested - Samsung Galaxy S8 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Oth

This is a test ROM, for early testers. Seems to be the first common firmware for several USA carriers. Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, possibly others.
I don't own the device, so I have no way of testing this release.
Stock, De-Knoxed.
You are flashing at your own risk. I am not responsible for bricked devices.

The S8 really is a decent phone, though isn't it. I'm going to try this as soon as I can pick it up, and I'll try to report back as well.

How can i flash this?

Its stock rom . You flash this with odin.

So if chance it, and Brick it, what files do I use through odin to restore it?

I have read, that if we install the OTA from Samsung it is not possible anymore to change the App for the Bixby key.

It comes from the future via time machine, when there will be custom recovery.

In all seriousness, I'm itching to use my t-mo jump on demand. thinking between the lg 6g or the s8+.. and cant decide its to early. I just may as well go back to the LG v20 just to have something different to play with. any thoughts or opinions? Any help is appreciated.

You dont need custom recovery to flash custom roms you just need root and flashfire and you all set.

So how do we flash this if need root, knowing there's no root atm for s8 ?

Why do we want this? Because it doesn't have knox. Yay.

Darn, I was entertained by how many unappreciative, uninformed people talked about how you couldn't flash without custom recovery now it's ruined. Luckily for me after this thread goes to page 4 I'll also have the lazy people that dont use the search button keep it going through the weekend. [emoji2]

Not the full firmware with all the other partitions. If TWRP didn't work on your stock FW, it's probably not gonna make a difference what rom you flash!

So, I did this. Pretty impressed with the overall device feel now, SE9 is nice . No hang ups other thank it took a long friggin' time, also remember this will WIPE all the data, so make sure to do a backup prior to. The initial/first phone setup is very iPhone-ish, imo.

Be warned; this update is ONLY for SM-G930A firmware - it has a second-stage updater that blocks all other versions (including SM-G930T, which I myself tried). In other words, it is a carrier-specific update, folks.

If it weren't for this being a daily driver, I'd consider it. However, because it is, that's not an option. So I'll have to wait for either a neutral version or one that will work with the SM-G930T.
I am currently testing it out, I was on the latest U firmware and downloaded the latest ATT firmware, will update on how it goes

so this may be a silly question, but my att s7 is currently at Baseband Version: G930AUCS4APK1 and on Android Version: 6.0.1. When clicking software update, it always tell me there is no update available so I've been stuck with this.

Quick update, I tried to install it and it failed with all the Odin versions I had, but then I used the "Odin3 v3.13.1_3B_PatcheD" version, and its working like a charm now finally I'm out of that 6.0.1 and at the latest!

i don't think at&t updates phones if your sim card is from another carrier . you will have to flash probably nougat first then oreo. at&t files are scarce but if you search here at "AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7" forums to see what you can find. you might have to go through a whole series of flashes before you can get oreo though. Alternatively, you can flash G930U firmware from sammobile just to get to about BRA1 or so then start flashing the most resent at&t files posted here or you can just. You could also just stay on g930u. If you are with at&t you should call customer service or go to your nearest retail location. if you've never used odin you should look up on youtube how to flash

Hi
My actual baseband version is : G930AUCU4BQF3. I can't update via OTA update because I live outside US (no AT&T sim) so I'm stuck to that baseband version. My question is do I need to update to the latest update of Nougat or can I update directly to Oreo with these files. Thanks
