[ROM][7.1.1]UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 14.1 for Honor 4C - Honor 4C ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develo

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Ooh, sorry sorry, yes it's just like installing any other firmware

I have CHC-U01C432B503 (G Play Mini), what exactly do I have to do to install this firmware? I have bootloader unlocked, TWRP recovery installed. And also, if I want to revert back to my stock firmware will the Nandroid backup do it? Because I read on another forum that a Nandroid backup is of no use if I flash a custom ROM on my device.
The following text was copied from a Nandroid backup tutorial on CyanogenMod forum.
"CAUTION:
A nandroid backup will not be helpful if you are planning to migrate to a different ROM permanently. What I mean to say is, lets say you are flashing a Custom ROM which you already know that is stable and you can carry on using the new ROM then this nandroid backup will not be helpful. Instead you need to use Titanium Backup or Backup all data individually and then migrate all the data to the new ROM."

ROM is very Good....thanks to the creater but we have one main bug we cannot use SD card as external storage, only it can be used as portable storage

Glory 4x che2-Ul00 can not brush
Will be stuck in Huawei p8 youth version of the first screen, ask for a quick adaptation of the glory 4x, thank you!

What about CPU usage? Is that rom using only 1 core or more? Is camera and video playback working?
And if I have honor 4c CHM-U01 do i need to flash first p8 lite firmware?

@DanteFX™ Congratulations on the ROM. Well done. I want to try it on my Che2-L11, but one small question: What are the known bugs? Can you give some details? F.ex. what about dual sim? Video?

Honor 5X / Lineageos / Error 7 / Maybe to old bootloader?

Good morning,
I would really appreciate some hints to solve my Problem with Honor 5X and Lineageos 14.1.
What have I done so far:
Bought a Honor 5X -> success
Unlocked bootloader officially -> success
Installed TWRP newest Version -> success
Downloaded lineageps 14.1 newest for kiwi -> success
moved lineageos zip to phone -> success
boot into recovery -> success
wipe Cache / etc -> success
install zip for lineageos 14.1 -> error 7
From reading a little bit here, I got the idea, that the bootloader is too old for lineageos 14.1. I am not an Honor Expert, but the phone Show something lime emui 3.something.
What do I have now:
Phone with:
running twrp
running fastboot
What I do not have:
adb backup of phone
twrp backup of phone
I would like to have the phone back up and running, even stock Image would be fine. Lineageos prefered.
Kind regards

I guess you are still on emui3, so lollipop version Android 5.
First: update to a marshmallow Android 6 version, BUT NOT the most recent. Check with update what is the version proposed and give number here.
But you need stock recovery for that...
You should:
Unlock bootloader
Update software/Fw to Android 6 , emui 4, bxxx version <= b340.
Boot in twrp recovery : make nandroid backup1
Flash twrp recovery, flash root, check all OK and make backup2
Then with both backups, you re safe to play with custom roms.
Some more questions....

Dear Rodolphe,
thanks a lot for your help.
Could you please give me some more hints?
My bootloader is already unlocked and TWRP is up and running. So far, that is done.
The phone runs now TWRP and fastboot only, nothing else.
How do I do this task: Update software/Fw to Android 6 , emui 4, bxxx version <= b340
I guess download this b340 fw/sw as a zip and install via TWRP?

Hi, you must return to stock recovery. Find the thread honor5x depot and get it based on model.
Then i think once stock recovery reinstalled, you can update in emui via settings>about phone.
What is **** is, if you update too much, you wont be able to flash ROM because of volte Fw. Thats why you need to check bxxx version of update to be sure to be less than b350.
Otherwise, you need to update manually with for example application firmware finder (playstore). Dont hesitate to search in threads your case. Some people may have face same request/issue
Yahooooooooo!
Partially Success!
What happened:
Read Guide KIW-L24 Back to Stock + Android 6.0.1 MM Update by clsA
Downloaded Twrp_Back_to_Stock_with _Stock_Recovery.zip
Put it on SD Card (which took a long time and needed some patience)
Boot into recovery TWRP
Restore
Reboot
There we are back in operation.

How should I continue?
I would like to
finally reach lineageos 14.1
will not loose voLTE Options etc by wrong firmware / baseband etc.
Update says no update available? I guess there is a way to install original Honor 5X Android 6?
Thanks a lot for the help already!

Download Marshmallow firmware manually (Google or use Firmware updater app/site) and install it via dload or via EMUI updater (5.1.1 has an "Upgrade manually" option). That's a KIW-L21? You won't get VoLTE anyway, install whatever you find for it (latest I know about is B350 CUSTC432D003, available on Polish Honor site). After that, flash TWRP and flash whatever you want.
Yahoooooo and thanks a lot again!
I have found the danish update.app for android 6, put it on MicroSD and installed it with the update app.
Now the phone
runs on Android 6.0.1
is Kiwi L21
is EMUI 4.0
is Baseband 20234,20234.
Will installing lineageos14.1 on top of this work or would I get Error 7 again?
I am a bit careful after the first try with lineageos14.1 and EMUI 3.1.
Kind regards

What is your bxxx version ?
Pictures posted above are in too low resolution to be red....
But now you should boot in twrp to make a nandroid backup of all stock with adb (find in threads).
Then you flash twrp and backup again with twrp and emui.
So in case of issues you re covered. Then try flashing los

B340 will be ok? The update app offers an OTA with B340.
Now I have a proper TWRP and Adebar backup (adb Linux script framework).
I will give Lineageos 14.1 a try in the next days.

Hi everybody,
it is done! The Honor 5X now runs on Lineageos.
Thanks a lot for the help and the good hints.
The reason for the problem with EMUI 3.1 and Error 7 was not obvious to me. I have read some installation guides and many of them ignore that you cannot install lineageos 14.1 up on EMUI 3.1. Good luck I found this forum.

Wipe cache, dalvick cache, system, data
Flash lineage
Reboot then flash gapps and SuperSU or magisk

Thanks. I was not sure since OEM is still 9 and Gapps 10 was not yet available for download on official website. Tried from Cyanogen website Gapps 10 (full, pico) but 'Android Setup keeps stopping'. Tried from XDA BiTGApps, does not have Android Setup and works.
Will keep you posted here on how ROM behaves.

Delete it.
After installing ROM directly enter twrp and flash gapps ?
Seems to work
So I tested the rom for some time now.
It indeed restarts at some random moments just idling laying on the desk. Do not yet have an understanding why this is. However it is not that often that it is annoying.
Magisk works perfectly.
BitGApps does also work.
A lot of notifications saying app versions are not made for Android 10, try to update while having latest installed. Guess this is a Android 10 issue?
Netflix does not seem to work keeps giving connection error (9).
At startup the notification always pops up saying there is a problem with the android system.
Sometimes text in apps or launcher vanishes until restart.
Thanks for all the work!
Please make stable project treble for pie
Are there any near future plans for updates to make this ROM more stable? Or can I provide error logs to contribute?
The rebooting is getting worse and more annoying. I'm in doubt to get back to old ROM.
Thanks in advance.

Do you mean Custom ROMs like Treble GSI LineageOS , CAOS etc. ? You can install any Custom ROM from the P20 Lite section.
Edit: if I remember correctly NFC didn't work, at least on ANE-TL00.

what you’ll need to flash a ROM:
- Install necessary computer software (usually "Minimal ADB and fastboot")
- Download packages (ROM, stock recovery, TWRP etc.)
- Unlock bootloader (!)
- Flash custom ROM
- Flash apps
- Reboot and personalize
So before you get all crazy messing ( ) with the software of your device, you should know some basics...

[Curtana] Does flashing a custom ROM compel disabling force encryption?

First of all, I'm really sorry if this thread would turn out to be a dumb enquiry. I am new to intrinsically customising my phone and only have been using this device (Redmi Note 9S EEA Curtana, MIUI Global V11.0.4.0. QJWEUXM 4/64 GB) for 10 days. I've successfully installed root and TWRP on my phone after having thoroughly researched relevant information. The only thing is all my efforts regarding the removal of force encryption have so far failed. I'm inclined to install a custom ROM, e. g. LineageOs or Evolution X.
1. Is it a necessity to have encryption permanently disabled so that the flashing process proves viable? Currently, I'm only aware of a method which has its effect limited to the the period the phone is in recovery. It involves formatting data and then installing Magisk and thus I need to go through the set-up again. At the end of the operation, encryption is enabled again. I have no clue why. I've tested loads of no verity opt files, none of them worked in a proper way either.
2.Will installing a custom ROM eliminate root acces (since it performs a reinstallation targeting the entire system, let alone the patched boot image)?
3. In case something goes wrong, what's the correct procedure to return to the factory ROM? Is re-locking the bootloader a prerequisite? (See this guide https://c.mi.com/uk/miuidownload/detail?guide=2, for example. Notice how each of the stable MIUI releases there are marked with ★ next to them, meaning they're locked. I didn't quite grasp the message they were trying to convey with that explanation though.)
I'm conscious that's a lot to ask in a single thread, however, unlike myself, the majority of users here are supposedly tech enthusiast and probably have encountered similar difficulties on several occasions.
I hope that I've provided enough information and the thread has been named reasonably.
(Priority: detailed answers within a month would be great.)
Cheers,
Hsjaai
Just format data: twrp->wipe->format data write yes->reboot twrp and flash rom.
If you got error(red lignes reboot twrp and format again).
or
delete all your lockscreen security before flashing but to install a new rom you must format the data before.
Thanks for your quick response, honestly I didn't expect anyone to be this early to react.
As I've already mentioned, in TWRP there's a workaround for temporarily disabling encryption using the first method, the latter one doesn't seem to function as intended - that may be the case on newer devices, according to an article I've come across.
One last request. Could you please (briefly) answer my two other questions as well? How do I reinstall MIUI if something breaks down? Is the flashing apparatus provided by Xiaomi reliable?
I'll keep you updated on my progress,
Hsjaai

Use this tool who is reliable(if you follow the instructions). In all cases unroot before and reboot (if necessary).

Thank you so much once again for the help. What should I do if the worst-case scenario arised -essential parts of the file system got corrupted so that the phone wouldn't be capable of booting into system? Uninstall magisk via zip and then make use of the fastboot tool?

What did you mean by that exactly?
Besides, sorry for bothering you, it's just that I'm genuinely curious and don't want to mess up the process.

With Magisk app
I'm still unsure about something. Will the custom ROM be installed without hassle if I unroot Magisk at the beginning (meanwhile leaving the custom recovery intact, of course)? No guide seems to deem having root installed as a prerequisite. If you answer that, I'm really embarking on the flashing process.

Installing a custom rom (aosp or Miui) requires a data format (erases all data and creates a new partitions if necessary) which will remove root anyway, but sometimes root + twrp creates problems (can't mout the partitions) it is therefore to avoid this that I recommend you to unroot before.
In all cases (Aosp or custom Miui) magisk is installed last.
Which ROM do you want to install?
I'd like to install LineageOS first and see how compatible it is.
[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for Redmi Note 9S
THERE IS AN OFFICIAL BUILD NOW, USE THAT INSTEAD! Note: this ROM is derived from LeddaZ's build. I will continue to update it until my 9s is on its last legs. Do not expect any features to be added. LineageOS is a free, community built...

The latter is relatively new, although I doubt that site would be credible.

Umm... I've taken my word back, they're XDA developers, not just some random dudes in the internet. Still, you can't be too careful.

What device is Miatoll ?
Hello guys ! For some days or weeks, I see a new codename : Miatoll. I looked and search but I don't find what device is it. Can you helo me ? I wonder if I can flash my phone with a Miatoll Rom
forum.xda-developers.com
Miatoll ROMs are supposed to be compatible with Curtana if I haven't got something wrong... What's the deal with that?
I may consider flashing CherishOS instead, seems neat and the monthly updates appeal to me.

Indeed it is the same.
Others great roms
https://sourceforge.net/projects/blissroms/files/R/miatoll/***
https://downloads.msmxtended.org/?dir=miatoll***
Don't flash magisk right away, check if the playstore is certified.
If not delele your google account and root with the Magisk app.
Of course, if you absolutely want to root your device for other reasons, ignore that.
***certified on redmi note 7
The installation of these should only differ (on a particular device) in the ROM that's being flashed az a zip, right?
For instance, see this guide. Could that be deemed to be applicable to any custom ROM?

Install the right TWRP
Be sure you have the right firmware.
If not flash it.
1)Twrp wipe format data write yes reboot twrp(if error reboot twrp and format again).
2)flash rom
3)reboot system
v11.0.4.0. QJWEUXM is a turkish rom(android 10)
V12.0.2.0.RJWMIXM is a global rom(android 11)Firmware base for AOSP
It is better to use Miflash and install TWrp after.(dont relock the bootloader).
Are you sure v11.0.4.0. QJWEUXM is the Turkish version? I thought it was EEA (the one tweaked for European countries). Installing the Global version seems alright, but why does the MIUI version has such a great effect on the outcome of the flashing?
Is that because both Cherish OS and the Global version are AOSP-based?
