[MODS-LIST] What's under your hood? - Lenovo A7000 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I've always been a fan of MODs, particularly ones that pertain to memory management
So, I've started this thread to see what other Lenovo users have had luck with, and to also share my findings
Gov Tuner Project
This MOD is by far my new favorite go to mod for quick performance boost. Pretty straight forward, easy to use. Quadrant benchmark scores definitely had a positive impact. Debuffer (the OP) is on top of updates , which is always great :good:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...mod-gov-tuner-project-29th-june-2016-t3407828
2. Ultimate Performance-Blazing Fast Speed On The Go!
Have yet to give this an " official " go around. But from only using it for an hour, it definitely seemed to help performance! "Ultimate Performance is a Mod that combines many scripts and tweaks in one package which is aimed to improve Android system's performance, smoothness, reduce GUI lags and of course some useful battery life improvements and tweaks! " ( OP )
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...od-ultimate-performence-blazing-fast-t3482317
3. BXRSVengine v4.0
Some of the ROMs already have this feature baked in for our A7000. This MOD includes
BRAVIA/Super-vivid/X-Reality Engines. So I was eager to flash, as my neighbors Xperia has great camera quality after he enables Bravia ! Although I had only noticed a subtle change in camera quality after flashing,It did drain my battery somewhat.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...recompeliren-bravia-engine-x-reality-t3141461
4. Fly-On Mod
I've also seen this MOD included in some of our a7000 ROMs, as an app. Has some great features included . I definitely noticed that the UI was smoother. It has also been around for awhile :good:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-fly-mod-app-alpha1-feel-smoothness-t3171503
So that's my little list of MODs I've used on the a7000. What MODs / Tweaks have you found useful ?
** READ THE OP FOR EACH MOD CAREFULLY . DON'T GO FLASHING MODS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT THEY DO AND WHAT FILES THEY ARE GOING TO EFFECT, ALWAYS BACKUP.
*I've only compiled this short list, I have had no participation in building / developing any of these . I defiantly urge you to read the full thread, users comments and do some research prior to flashing any MOD or SCRIPT. They may have worked for me, or JimBob but could possible make your phone a paper weight .

good list

nice collection dude. thanks for sharing

Guide To Roms Xperia X8

There are many good Roms for our Xperia x8 in xda, But it is hard to determine which one is right for you,, when i first started i faced a lot of problems deciding on which rom to use,, eventually i found out that it depends on the user on what he wants in his rom and chose the appropriate rom accordingly, SO i am going to include all the roms i have used and give detailed information , so you can choose according to your needs
If your having a hard time finding the best kernel for your X8 as well , Check out my Guide To Kernels
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1469464
But first Read these up if you don't know how to install a custom Rom also i have included a guide on how to install a custom kernel

#Custom Kernel Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17384177&postcount=3
#1. Froyobread : This Rom is a great choice for beginners, its stable and fast. it's core cm6. Android 2.2, a great upgrade if you are still using the 2.1 stock eclair this is the best upgrade,, many hail this as the best stable ROM there is, its full of features, it delivers smooth performance, and i have found it to be very stable. so if your new just use this, you will be satisfied
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463
Pros : Still considered the most stable Rom, Fast and Smooth Performance, Good app Performance, android 2.2 has greater app support, most features work without any problems, little or no bugs, one of the most famous rom so if you have any problem lot of people out there to help you
Cons: Android 2.2 has become old many people prefer Android 2.3 over it. Not as Smooth as gdx when it comes to scrooling, according to some people Wifi does not work(it worked for me though)
#2.Hackdroid: A decent rom, flashy and stylish, sometimes laggy. but overall a very good room. great for starters, however many people stated this one to be a little unstable , but it really depends on what apps you run if you are looking for a good looking rom with visual features this one is a pretty good choice
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=914513
Pros: Very Customizable, Decent Performance, Stable if you stick to normal apps, Has more features than most Roms
Cons: A little Laggy, Sometimes Unstable, Many people have Reported bugs in this rom. Other Roms Offer Superior Performance
#3.KuyaDroid: This one is an awesome rom, solid and stable, fast performance smooth menu and everything is decent. Its a good rom if your into gaming as it has built in Overclock, Undervolt, and gesture.(note these features can be manually added on other roms too). One more noticable thing about this rom is that it's core is cm7, and android version 2.3( a big update from the stock 2.1)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109563
Pros: Very fast app performance, Smooth Scrooling, Android 2.3, Wide Range of Users so you will easily find solutions if you face any problems, Overall Solid CM7 Rom.
Cons: Lacks Features that are available on Gingerdx, Some Reported Bugs, some apps force closes
#4.GingerDX: This is A cm6 - cm7 update of the Famous Froyobread, So far its fast and stable although a few bugs have been reported but its one of the most stable and working cm7 , android 2.3 roms around. its definitely worth a try if you want a fast and smooth working rom. also it has some pretty good features more than most roms out there to exact. Many people state this is the best Cm7 rom out there
Pros: One of the Smoothest CM7 Rom i have used, Full of features, Customizable, Most apps work without any problem, Regularly Updater, Wide range of users so you will easily find solutions if you do face any problem, Upgraded Camera
Cons: People claim it to be stable but not fast(A custom kernel helps in that case), Some minor bugs still needs to be fixed, Some features and still needs to be more polished and stable, updates have recently slowed down
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1188486
#5.BehradGH: this one is a light and simple rom, not a bad choice for newbies but it does not have as much customizable features as the other roms, its a good rom for starters,, so if your looking for a simple rom and an upgrade from your stock rom you should try this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955467
Pros: Light Rom, Good for Average Daily apps, Simple rom without complications. Simple Upgrade from the Stock Rom
Cons: Powerful Games Such As Nova, MC Sandstorm often Force closes, Some Reported Bugs, A little unstable while Performing Certain Operations
#6.GingerCruzt: Just tested this Rom Recently , And boy was i surprised , good performance and good looks, which is something very hard to get in one rom. in some cases better than GDX, but not as stable when running apps, but for normal daily use this one beats most of the roms out there. also it has a very similar look to the stock android. so if your into stock looks, try this out. also its android 2.3 /Cm7.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101691
Pros: New and fresh, Decent Performance and Features, Not bad for daily use, most apps work without problem, Android 2.3. the new look is unique(gc 8.1 and after)
Cons: The Creator of the Rom is not really Co operative since he is not really active on XDA, Minor bugs, Is not updated as regularly as other Roms, Lacks advanced Features that available on other Cm7 Roms
#7.Krauser-SROM: Recently Tested this Rom, this uses a lot of Froyobreads Features, Its fast and stable , not a bad choice if you want try something other than those famous roms, i found it to be really decent rom. Not bad for daily normal usage
Pros: Simple Lightweight Rom, Most apps work, Stable and Smooth
Cons: Some FC on apps, Community of its users is not as big as Froyobread, Android 2.2, Doesn't have much features as some of the other roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1184735
#8.GingerXperia: This rom is pretty good, and i actually find it to be even faster than gdx,Yes it lacks the features which gdx offers but if you can make do without those advanced features this is the rom for you, its also reported to be stable and smooth , its not bugfree though but hopefully it will be fixed on future updates
Pros: Very fast, Simple Rom, Light weight, Good app performance, Stable Rom,
Cons: Lacks some Features, some bugs, New so the community is still small, got worse with recent updates, the rom's creator used a lot of contents from other roms without taking permission from them(The issue seems to be resolved after V017)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373679
#9.Fd xperience: One of the better new roms, it has a stock look which is sure to attract many people, if you want to upgrade but do not want tolose your stock looks and yet have a stable upgraded rom this is the rom for you, its smooth and fast better than most roms out there, But it has some bugs and support issues, and i got some fc when playing games on it , other than that its very stable and fast
Pros:Fast,Stock look, Stock apps, good app performance, Smooth scrooling,
Cons: The contacts app is very slow, The music player lacks features, Some 3d games FC, the new updates boasted looks but slowed down performance
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089690
#10.Stornmix: This is a very recent rom, It has the looks. The framework is beautiful, However the visuals in my opinion has been given more importance than speed in this which makes it slow, and many people i asked said that it really lags when playing hd games. Otherwise the rom is reported to be stable soo far. very few bugs, and if your not into gaming this rom may be a good choice
Pros: Looks Awesome, Fresh Look, Unique framework, Stable, Not many Bugs, Pretty Fast for daily use
Cons: laggy for gaming, Very small community of people using, not as much customization as other famous roms, Still needs more work, camera doesnt work properly, Contact numbers are not visible
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339823
#11.GingerXperiaRay: Another recent edition to X8 roms, Frankly i like this rom, stable, good performance, not many bugs, It's a good rom for gaming soo far i was able to run some hd games pretty well in it. The rom is smooth and maybe a good choice if your into gaming
Pros: Fast and stable, Built in ICS TRANSITIONS, Good app performance, Light
Cons: Needs custom kernel to fully work(Hopefully will be fixed soon), Needs more testing, Very new and very little users
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393520
#12:LinuXperia: This is a good rom, the creator has worked a lot and improved it from what it was, however many people have reported some problems and bugs. and there are some doubt about it being fully compatible with the stock kernel
Pros:Fast rom. good gaming performance, Stable(Many said that previous versions are more stable)
Cons: According to many people the update affected its overall performance, Not as customizable as Famous roms, Needs Custom kernel to work well
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363033
If anyone wants their Rom added in this thread just let me know
#13.AtiFroyo: This is Based On Minicm6,,so yeah it uses a little older version. As with all froyo roms, this one provides good gaming performance. But again as it uses older version you won't get as much functionality as Gingerbread roms
Pros: Fast Gaming Performance, Light weight smooth Ui, Stable, One of the few Froyo roms that are still updated (Mainly because it fairly new)
Cons:Quite a few bugs, According to some there are better froyo roms, lets face it Froyo is oudated
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447607
#14.Mini CM: This is another Classic Xperia X8 rom , Similiar to gingerdx its very Good. One of the fastest rom out there. It provides a pretty good performance when combined with Its own custom kernel. In my opinion it provides one of the best gingerbread Experience
Pros: Fast and Smoot, Great Gaming Peformance, All apps work without any problem, Light Framework, Huge community of people to discuss probs with
Cons: Needs Custom kernel, Some people claim it to be unstable
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1362585
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1222348
#15. Android Prime HD: Created By Haka(Who had a great amount of influence when it comes to improving Our X8) This rom is pretty good so far, the 2d and 3d performance is really good, Its new and so far it seems to be pretty stable, whatever bugs it used to have Haka is working hard and have fixed most of it, a must try for those want a clean rom
Pros: Simple and Light, Decent Fps In Games, Clean interface, improved performance, Regularly updated
Cons: OC Bug, Doesn't work with stock kernel anymore, Led notification bug, FC when multitasking

Thinks To consider Before Flashing A custom Rom: If you have doubts about anything gain more knowledge about it by asking people in Xda. If you want to install roms that requiere Custom Kernels Make sure you know how to unlock your bootloader
Warning: If you do anything without being sure about it you might end up with a bricked phone, and Hard bricks cannot be fixed on your own

don't forget about GingerCruzt, the last version add xperia active launcher
well, then let`s not forget either miniCM7-2.0.6, which, by the way, I personally like a lot, since I first tried it, I`m stuck on it!!
i posted it because many people look on the Development section,, and this thread is specially for beginners, those threads are a way more advanced and may look confusing to beginners
What would be useful is a list of pros and cons (or a list of what doesn't work) for each one.
For instance - i really like GingerCruzt, but can't get MMS to work on it.
GingerDX is an all rounder - but maybe has some battery drain issues (although Doixanh is really really improving it).
Just a thought
(and if anyone knows why MMS won't work on GingerCruzt, but works on my phone in GingerDX, please let me know!)
I have two propositions:
- tomek3pl H_Stock ROM. Has bloatware removed and contains good additions (App2SD e.g.) and a lot of people like stock
- HAKA's GingerFroyo, which is very careful with the battery.
How about SROM?
I havent really tried S rom,, i will add it after i have tested it
No ROM will beat GingerDX
Fast Stable. No bugs for me . no wifi bugs no battery drain.
i use'd this since v003 and now im running v013 it's fast run's great game's like NFS SHIFT and PES 2011 great customisation;
only thing i dont like is stock launcher (launcher pro) i much more like Go Launcher more customisations more fun bit faster and more stable
Please listen
if you got an x8. get GingerDX v013 Get OCv004 put the module in
Overclock to 729Mhz
You Will NEVER be happy with another rom once you try GDX ! ! !
Even Dox admitted there are some bugs in his roms ,, Gdx one of the best rom but still there are lot of other good roms like MINI CM7 AND GC
I was using gdx till v14. Agree with many - a great rom overall.
But since last 7 days I have used Fd v1.0.0 It has been an absolutely amazing experience. Fast, zippy, stable and I love the active launcher. I have not found a single bug, except one inconvenience that when you open contacts, sometimes it can take a little lag before opening; gardly a deal breaker !
Other than that my congrats and kudos to the developer on this amazing achievement.
P.S,: I have used maps while walking navigation last night in central london, phone was searching for signal in underground trains for 1 hour, used wi-fi and web browsing for 45 mins or so, fiddled with settings (ultrabrightness ticked), and still have got 40% left after 24 hours !
you have posted the same thing in multiple threads,, plz don't spam the same thing
hi.
sorry, i might be posting in wrong thread...
if i root my X8 and put custom ROM - will i be able to put original ROM back and unroot it?
asking cause my phone was given to me by my company and i might have to return it someday
well you should make a backup before flashing you phone with a custom rom, that ensures that if nedded you can go back to its default rom,, Use Xrecovery to do that, Just in case you havent backed up your previous data but want the default rom and kernel back, just download the newest se kernel and flash it using flashtool..
Please share a link to it
the one i found here is only for 2.3 as it states there

If you just wanna try a different ROM, yes you can use xrecovery to make a back up of your actual ROM and install a new one, but
1.- it is not necessary that you flash any kernel, since there are already a lot of roms to try with no risk involved, such as unlocking bootloader etc.....
2.- at any given moment that you want to return to a brand new factory stock ROM, you just plug your phone with PC companion or SEUS and choose repair and you are done, this will unroot your phone and reset it at factory settings, any doubt just let me know

Well, at first sight this seems to be a rather staightforward question with an obvious answer at hand. But if you dig deeper, than you'll find it more difficult to choose among the various possibilities. Here are some hints.
A. Roms
(1) Stock rom from Samsung (newest version is currently 2.3.6).
As far as I can tell and reading about other users experiences, it has the best battery running time. And performance wise I can't tell any disadvantage or lag either.
(2) Roms based on Ketuts kernel found in CF-Root.
(2.a) CF-Root b82 version and below
The system performance regarding battery and lag should be the same, because the kernels are stock (by Samsung) ones. But in reality the modder of the rom package may have used some scripting tweaks (init.d) or heavily themed the look. It may make the battery running time and/or the responsiveness of the system better or worse. But any modifications also bring the risk for bugs (wlan, sim-toolkit, ...).You should skip through the corresponding thread and find out.
(2.b) CF-Root b82.ex version and up
From here onwards Ketut has begun to tweak and build his own kernel based on the stock kernel configuration parameters (/proc/config.gz).
(3) Roms based on Cyanogenmod 7
This is an unofficial build of Cyanogenmod for the s5830.
It is well known, that it suffers under a battery drain issue. On the other hand you will get the most out of the device regarding lagfree performance. Recommended for heavy gamers at the cost of battery duration.
My recommendation is now that you goes from (1) to (3) and try them out to experience yourself, which package does really fullfills your/her needs. Because no one can tell you for sure, which rom is the best suited for you, because it is a matter of personal taste and preference.
Here you can find some introductionary materials into the world of modding to make the s5830 a better device accommodating to your needs.

B. Tweaks
(1) Make battery last a little bit longer.
If you're really serious about finding ways to extend the battery running time, than you should read the whole thread, because usefull informations are scattered and not only in the OP.
-> [Hint/Tip]Best way to save battery
(2) Lagfree scripts (only applicable to rooted device with init.d enabled)
This scripts may also contain some tweaks, which will claim to also raising the battery running time of the device.

[Q] If there was only one tweak wich would it be?

Okey fellow android owners. I've tried them all, the tweaks. But can't say in matter of benchmarks that they've made a total makeover to my score, nore to the feeling I got with the phone in matter of speed etc.
And most of the tweaks I've downloaded are always packages with seveal tweaks inside.
I would like to know, if there was only ONE tweak you could choose, wich one would it be. Wich one has made the most difference in terms of speed, memory or battery saving for you?
Cheers
Pemell
Well one of the BEST tweaks I've done on my device is install the V6 SuperCharger. Definately helped with Memory, Speed, and overall device Responsiveness.
I had a feeling this would be one of the obvious answers. Though, this might sound weird, on my Xperia Arc S, I don't feel that much of a difference with it installed. :-(
Maybe it's a revert placebo, as when I started to think that the tweaks didn't improve the phone very much, they stopped working ;-)
And as I said in OP, most of the tweaks comes within a packege with several tweaks. This is the case with V6 as it changes several things within the phone.
So, to expand my question even further. If you where to choose on thing the V6 changes, wich setting would it be? The memory? The kernel? 3G supercharger?
Well in essence it affects all of those. But where I see the biggest difference is in the Memory. Or more to the point the Memory Management. My device literally has way more available memory. Also as stated before the responsiveness is much improved.

The one change that's made each phone and tablet more responsive has been zeam launcher.

Anyone know best mods

I look around this forum and I must say there are alot of mods and tweaks, and I love it!!! Right now I'm in the process of making a custom JB rom, but I need help finding the best tweaks for
Audio
Init.d
AdBlocking
Bass
Performance and Battery Life
Graphics Rendering
And anything else I left out
Can someone refer me to some?

Note : I'm just sharing the work of the XDA Member Jeeko. This mod was tested on rooted stock Android 4.1.2. It also could be used on some other roms and phones. ( I also used it on my motorola Atrix HD). This MOD makes my phone way more responsive and smooth than a lot roms. Now I have a smooth, nice, good battery LGOG!
You are welcome to use it on your rom after nandroid backup! Please read the whole thread!
Flash at your own risk!
I am using the stock version now ( for rooted stock rom only). For other rom you could use CM version. But please read the original thread first!
All version could be found here.

everything you've always wanted from a performance engine, but you never dared to ask
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______________
Here I am back with another mod of the Pure™Series.
After improving the system sound quality and graphics, it is time to improve Android. But be careful! This is not the usual performance engine which adds only script in the / init.d folder,
This time will be improved the android system at 360°! Basically this engine is a collection of concepts of all performance engine of the forum, that none of us will ever be able to install because many would conflict.
My testers were stunned by the power of this engine, but why not try it yourself? Are you ready to receive scary performances, to blow up the AnTuTu score counter?
Well, talk about serious stuff
◢ Features ◣
- Android performances improved at 360°
- Radically improved management ram on android (Lags...adios!)
- Script lightweight and revised to be adapted to this engine
- Improves a lot the graphics: of course Pure Graphic™HD, Pure Dithering Plus™ and... AOSPA 3.60 system tweaks
- Scan multimedia time drastically reduced
- Network Improvements, 3G experience even in 2G modality
- All SQlite database optimized
- Enable hardware features turned off by default for a better experience on entry level devices
- Greatly increases the score AnTuTu: Try it to believe it!!
- Reduces the startup time of Android
- A version for stock rom and one for CM, to squeeze any roms!
- Allows you to play ported games without lags
- Cleans the system every 24 hours, thecache every week and the Dalvik every month (cronos easter egg)
- Automatically Zipalign on each boot (sensitive to the user)
Battery
- Drastically decreased the drainage of battery
- Check the activities that consume too much battery stop them with PureWakelocks™
- When the phone is charging reduces system services for faster charging
- The battery is calibrated on every boot
- Disable animation of the system when the battery is nearly exhausted
- Improvements in build.prop as regards the part of consumption
Graphics, Screen, Images
- Enables a non-aggressive dithering to save CPU
- When you lock the device, the engine makes sure that the GPU is turned off
- Enables deep sleepalso in the bugged rom
- Parts of bravia engine
- Of course parts of CrossBreeder (credits to dev)
- Of course parts of Adrenaline Engine (credits to dev)
- Of course PureGraphics HD, even though I already told you
- Of course V6 supercharger
- Generates video entropy (like seeder)
CPU, Governors, I/O Schedulers
- Slightly improves the scaling of the frequencies (for better results you need a good kernel)
- Lightens the load on the CPU switching the workload to GPU rendering
- Enable the swap partition in Android (experimental)
I've said too much, man. Install this engine and discover its power!
◢ Compatibility ◣
This engine works on any devices with any rom, but there is a version for CM's rom and one for stock based firmwares. So, CMx.x, Lewa Os, MIUI, etc.
Install the stock version only on your stock firmware of your phone....
if your device don't have gingerbread or ICS officially, install the CM version (This also applies to the AOSP)
Wish i had balls to flash it on slimkat 1.95 4.4.2 haha if anybody tested it please post your reviews here i may give it a shot when i get home :highfive:
Thanks for sharing it laofan :good:

What I do is make a nandroid backup in twrp first, then flash the version for my rom. For you would be the cm version.
If anything goes wrong, you could always restore your backups.
For me, I found stock rom is faster then PA Rom. After flashing this mod, the stock Rom is at least as fast as PSX. ( I have two LGOGs for now to compare )

I am trying to collect some balls to flash this , since in past two weeks my phone has gone through 3 times LGNPST , 8 times ROM install and several nandroid restoration and backups.
I am on stock rom 4.1 JB , rooted and unlocked. I am using Android Tweaker pro. edition , it has similiar tweaks to this , like Bravia Engine , and Network tweaking , etc.
Would you suggest to try this over the Android Tweaker , becaue it seems tooo tempting to me. I will see if I can Backup the current rom again , and try this.
I also have to try the camera mod , too. Which I saw in Nexus 4 sections . Editing media_profiles.xml .
Will report tommorow , if things go allright.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW , I just want to confirm that there ae no scripts in this , which will force the hardware beyond it's normal /stock range , right ??

Will report tommorow , if things go allright.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
BTW , I just want to confirm that there ae no scripts in this , which will force the hardware beyond it's normal /stock range , right ??

@Rishi. I know all that troubles in flashing roms. At the very beginning I also go through LGNPST several times. After all those effort, PSX and stock are my personal favorites.
For my device, the only mod for me is this PurePerformance Mod. I haven't try other mods yet. For now, I am happy with this mod in stock rom. I try playing games( temple run, minion run) and browsers ( dolphin browser) , this mod makes performance at least as good as PSX.
One suggestion is after you flash this rom, you might need to reboot several times to let system settled down itself. We all need time to get used to new stuff, so do phones.
I might try the Android Tweaker Mod later on. But could you link the camera mod please? I also want to try
We could just share all the mods that really boot performance and sharp the phone :highfive:

Here we go , the camera mod.

I tried it today itself but never had the chance to take a pic yet . Let me know if it improves the quality. BTW , take nandroid backup if possible.
@laofan the link is broken.
NEver mind , I downloaded it using the main thread. Will be installing it today after nandroid backup completes.

Holy Sh!t.!!!! This made it times faster , my stock rom is running like as if some just pressed the Nitrox button.
Seriously , it's fast !!!!!!! No problems yet.

I just updated the link. Now should be OK.
This mod is really a killer! Enjoy it and you may try it on some other rom/device too
Oh man i wanna flash this on slimakat it become slow and non responsive lately.. you guys are tempting me i guess i will do it on new years eve haha
I am going to do various kinds of benchmarks and post the results on this new year's eve.
I like the stock ROM, but cannot handle the audio latency. Its almost a full second gap between screen and sound. Does this mod address audio latency?

Installed on stock JB. Phone seems much quicker. Thanks

@laofan ,I have taken several benchmark tests and have uploaded them here( in case if you want to include them in OP as a bench). Currently running this mod on stock jellybean with eco-mode and power saving turned off.
Linpack , Vellamo 2 HTML 5 , Vellamo Metal , Quadrant Standard , CPU Prime Benchmark , BenchMark Pi , AntuTu benchmark.
Let me know if someone wants me to test any other benchmarks using this , requests are welcome for those who are looking to try this.
Would appreciate if some one shares their result too.
I use Antutu and It always scores higher then Nexus 4.
What really matters here is I could hardly notice any lag. It just runs so smooth after this mod.
After so many rom flashing on different devices, I found that it is NOT true that the higher android version, the smoother of performance.
There are some roms( even just stock) that are just running so good even they are just lower android. I have two phone right now , Motorola Atrix HD and the LGOG, now both running stock or stock-optimized rom. And right now there is very few roms could compete with them.
For now I am hoping LGOG could get official 4.4 update. otherwise maybe I would wait a few more months to go back to PSX stable.

How much do you use to get on Antutu with your OG ? Mine as the pic says , challenges Xperia Z . Very close to it.!!
And yes , it runs very smooth indeed. But the device is already so fast that I just can't differentiate. , Krait S4 pro , Cores are really fast and furious , though a bit power hungry.
Generally the more optimized and stable a rom is the better results it'll have in user experience. I had experienced this phenomenon on my Motorola Atrix too.
And as far as Official 4.4 update goes , I hardly have any faith left in it. PS , I don't like 4.4 looks, I prefer JB's appearance. I would prefer a JB 4.3 rom with positive optimizations of 4.4 .

Latency with movies is fine. It's games where it kills it.

It is wired. I am playing temple run 2 and minion run now , and my phone has no issue with sound and display.
There is a thread in development section about stock rom, you could try flash that one.
If you don't like stock rom, this mod could also use in other roms. You need to use the CM version for other roms.
Let me know how things goes with you phone.
If you still could not fix it, maybe try contact ATT for a replacment as long as your phone is less than one year old
