Optimizing apps - LG K7 Questions & Answers

My phone keeps saying 'Android is starting...optimizing app 1 of 34...' However, it never completes, keeps restarting and starting over again. Is there any help for it?

Do you have root and twrp installed or just none rooted phone? Have you tried reflashing stock rom or hard reset? Maybe MAYBE something went wrong lol idk much about the "optimizing apps" part im more focused into building a custom rom for the k7 so if you know a little about that then any help is welcomed. Sorry if i didn't help much.?

[Q] Rom flashing is crashing no matter what

Hi guys would really appreciate some help.
I'm trying to update my phone to another rom and I'm familiar with the process but my phone has started behaving very strangely lately and I'm worried.
I've tried a number of different kernals including siyahs 5/6 and put them on using odin but when I try to flash roms they all hang and then the phone restarts after a few minutes.
The phone does the same thing if I try to format the /system partition.
I'm worried there's been some more permanent damage than just the rom/kernal software somehow and I'm really stumped. Could it be something to do with the filesystem/corrupt storage or memory??
Does anyone have any ideas or information on something like this??
Any tips would be greatly appreciated cos atm my phone is unflashable..

If so, take a look at this guy's issue with his device.

[Q] Deleted home launcher

I had rooted my T mobile LG G2 yesterday, loaded TWRP today - THOUGHT I had created a back up, then loaded Titanium (free-so no freeze).
Was cleaning up the bloatware and was doing fine, until (yes, I know I'm an idiot) I deleted "Home" and everything went black. Finally got back to TWRP and there is no saved ROM to restore and it gives the error message that it can't locate the storage.
So I can't recovery through TWRP, the adb doesn't recognize any device and I can't do a factory reset... anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance and please don't revoke my learner's permit. :

I googled LG G2 emergency mode 15 different ways and finally found "GRUB", but it says it not available anymore except FTP, which obviously I can't do.
Sorry for being the noob but could you be a little more detailed on this, as this is my first android root and consequentially my 1st destruction of my phone. I literally have 2 days experience gained from 'attempting' to understand the whole process. :cyclops:

Thanks again. I had already followed this thread, but when I entered download mode, a firmware update started. Stopped immediately at 0% and gave me a "rooted" in red letters at the bottom.
Then found this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6SGWR0hGg4 and realized that I should proceed anyway. Got to the same point he did at 8:00 but when undid and reconnected the program continued. My just keep saying the phone wasn't connected by usb.

Turns out I didn't have the correct usb drivers on the computer... finally got it back up and running, so thanks for the input. Now I have to make sure that I back it up CORRECTLY this time on TWRP.

Alcatel one touch fierce xl won't get past Android is starting screen

So I rooted my phone using king root and everything was working fine up until I tried to switch from kingroot to super su using super sume. After that my phone just reset and at first was endlessly restarting, after shutting it off and back on I was able to get it to stop endlessly booting but ran into a different issue. The phone boots up and reaches the "android is starting... Starting apps." Screen and doesn't go anywhere past that. I went into recovery mode and preformed a data wipe to see if that would work and the problem still persists. I am in fact running on stock no clockwork recovery or anything of that nature. If anyone can help that would be great! ?

im in the same boat as you.
Damn....................
Im in the same hole as all of you or at least was....
So the problem with this is that these rooting programs such as kingroot and Kingoroot arent compatible with a lot of devices that aren't popular such as alcatel phones for instance....... although it is available for higher versions fortunately. The glitch that we have all had is due to trying to use 2 rooting programs (NEVER TRY THIS!!!!!!!) on one device and interference when booting up causes this annoying bootloop. Im assuming that no one here has managed to unlock the bootloader, so what you must do is plug your phone into a pc via usb and then try to download this firmware:
drive.
google.
com/open?id=
0BwBw9a_
6fkKUMmpWWno0S2ljTjA
Justt put it all together and download the firmware afterwards.... the pc must detect the phone first so this program can detect and install the drivers. Requires a format tho, so take that in mind. Hope it works for you guys......

Bricked phone? Need help

Hi guys
I think i just bricked my phone (which is lenovo a328 rooted). But before these things happened my phone was perfectly working fine, I even managed to successfully flashed a custom to it. But then one day these kind of errors popped up "system ui has stopped working, all google apps has stopped working". So i though i just have to re-flashed it again, the whole process went fine it says "download ok" which indicates that the flash was a success. But when i opened my phone it went into boot loop, My phone just wont open. I don't even know if its charging coz' there's no battery logo showing up it's just stuck on lenovo logo. But the good news is windows can still recognize my phone. I've been re-flashing it so many times but still wont work. So I decided to go to a repair shop but they said it cant be fix anymore (internal problem, that what they said).
I've been searching the xda s for an answer, and i've found some thread similar to mine but I cant find any fix.
Thank you, Hoping for an answer
I really need an answer :crying::crying:

No matter what, LG D620k keeps bricking

Hello all.
I´m pretty desperated at this point. No matter what, my phone (LG G2 mini D620k, I have 2 years with it) keeps bricking. Keep in mind I´m a noob in this world, so I´m looking for help here.
This started like 2 months ago, it bricked so I searched on Internet and did the hard reset. It worked well, for a while. I downloaded all my usual apps without rooting it, then suddenly: bricked.
Another hard reset, and again, it worked. So someday it started freezing, apps closing, so in like a week I used 10 times the LG Mobile support tool to fix errors. It fixed the phone but just for 1-2 days. So again, I did factory reset (this time from the phone, it wasn´t bricked), rooted it, debloated it, and worked fine for 48 hours. Last night it again, from nothing, bricked.
Did hard reset again. I'm asking here: what is wrong with the phone? What is causing this? Is an app? Too many apps? Hardware? Battery?
I love my phone but I´m tired of sitting 3 hours every 2 days fixing it. Cannot afford a new phone or looking for specialized help, so I´m asking here for help.
Keep in mind I´m a noob in this. Can someone help me?
Sorry if this matter is already answered, I did a search and found nothing like this.
Sorry for my bad english.
When you say "bricking" do you mean bootlooping (the LG boot animation keeps playing)?
If so, try to capture a logcat while it's bootlooping via adb. Let it capture for a minute, or so. Then send it to me.
Then, pull out the battery for a couple of seconds, put it back in and power up the phone. Does it still bootloop?

I have the same issue!! I've tryed every CM Rom, custom roms, stock roms and now latest RR, and still the same problem. After flash I install only FB, Messenger and Insta (it's girlfriend's phone) and after 1-2 days phone gets bootloop (only RR logo). I have to do hard reset and flash again whole system to work properly again (for a few days).
I gave my G2Mini to service (not LG Service) but they said that its motherboard issue (probably some boot memory is broken and has memory "leaks") But I think that it cant be this. If this is possible I would try to flash whole system on SD card not internal memmory, maybe this will work
help!

Grab a logcat via adb.
Install adb and Google's drivers (for custom ROMs, LG's for stock ROMs).
Let it record for a minute and give it to us.
I managed to install CM13, worked fine for a month I guess... started with random bugs "x app stopped working". So I restarted the phone and it's in eternal logo when I turn it on.
Since I'm a totally noob at this, I can't find a noob-friendly guide to make it work again.

Wipe /data in recovery.
If that doesn't work, reinstall the ROM and 'pico' OpenGApps

Managed to connect it to my laptop (I could't before), used LGMobile support tool, back to original rom. I guess it will be matter of time to get same errors as before. At least it works again... idk for how long :s
Hard life for a android n00b :x
update:
it freezes suddenly (started in the middle of a skype videocall).
I'm starting to suspect it's a ram problem. Any ideas?
