Uable to flash stock ROM - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I accidentally wiped system and other partitions from my nx529j.
i was trying to flash stock rom but in stock recovery it says SD card not detected.
Even in TWRP i was unable to flash stock rom (Both 5.1.1 and 6.0.1). Custom ROM is installed but during calls neither me nor the other person can hear each others voice.
Internet is working fine.
Help.

I have the same problem. When I flashed RR or Mokee rom I was unable to hear call sound. I searched many forums but nothing helped. So i decided to flash stock rom bac, but it stuck on "Be yourself" or something like that. Now I am usim RR rom but without phone function which is very weird. Have anyone the same issue?

CM11 for OnePlus One (Bacon)

Hello devs! I am trying to build my own personal custom ROM from scratch. I have followed a guide of CM11 wikipedia and did every bit of it (or I think I did). The ROM builds fine. I do get the flashable ZIP file. But when I flash it it doesnt flash like it should. I also dont get any error. And then it gets stuck at Cyogenmod logo. I looked all over the internet and I cannot find a solution. Doesn any1 knows what could be a problem?
I am flashing in TWRP. Could that be an issue? I normaly flash A LOT of ROMs and had 0 issues.

[SOLVED] Installing a ROM without a recovery change

Hi all !
ive searched thoroughly for a few days and have not found an answer to my question so I am making a new thread.
I have been wondering if it is possible to install a ROM without getting the recovery changed. By this I mean, can you install a ROM without going from TWRP to CWM or vice versa? it seems stupid, yes I know, but in all of my experience, and for the last 50+ ROMs, upon flash, the Recovery changes with the kernel, so I wanted to know if anyone can answer me (in regard to S2) and yes I do know that some RoMs only work with a certain version of CWM or above etc but I was curious.
Thanks in advance for any help

Actually, upon flashing the kernel, the recovery would change. But the change depends. If you switch from an older Omni ROM to an updated Omni ROM version, your recovery doesn't get changed since Omni ROM uses TWRP. Similarly, if you use a Cyanogenmod ROM and update to a newer version of Cyanogemod ROM, the recovery doesn't change; remains same- ClockWorkMOD Recovery.(CWM)
BUT, if you want to flash Omni ROM over Cyanogenmod, then by default, CWM Recovery would get changed to TWRP. So, if you want to have the same recovery as you had with the earlier kernel(due to earlier ROM), you have to flash that kernel.img again after every new ROM flash, and then you can reboot to recovery.

Status 7 Error won't go

Hey,
I got a problem with my S2g. I'm currently on Android 4.1.2, with cwm 6 and blazing v-5 kernel. Both were flashed per odin and work fine. However I can't flash a custom rom. Every time I try it I'll get a Status 7 error. I've already tried 4 different ROMs and I'm really annoyed by now. I also tried to factory reset the phone before I flash the ROM, but it didn't make any difference. I also tried deleting the assert command in the updater-script file but somehow my changes in the file won't be saved.
If anyone could help me I would be really thankful!

I've just tried this, didn't work also. I even had to flash the recovery and the kernel again after trying to flash the file in the link, because the phone wouldn't boot normal or in recovery mode.

Try using philz recovery on your phone. It should flash most ROMs fine.

I just did, I still get the Status 7 error. I tried to flash the cm 12.1 and the cm 13.0 nightly rom. I also tried deleting the assert command in the updater-script file but it still won't work. There was no Status 7 error but it still said "Installation aborted".
Does anyone else got an idea how to fix this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development/kernel-blazing-kernel-v16-t2275275
I used this Kernel, I just noticed, that it's only compatible with Android 4.1, 4.2 or 4.3.
I then tried to install the DorimanX Kernel for LP and MM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/kernel-dorimanx-lp-5-x-x-t3145879) but my phone stucks at the boot screen.

Apologies, I only just noticed you have a i9100g, not a i9100. You can't just flash i9100 kernels as they simply won't work!
You can follow the guide in the CM13 OP here:

[Q] Unable to install CyanogenMod based roms

I have SD version of the phone with unlocked bootloader, rooted, and twrp installed. I am unable to flash any of the CM based roms as none of these roms are able to detect my sim cards. The only rom which works fine is the Global Developer rom. Even when I try to install Stable stock, it gets stuck at verifing Mi account page. I tried wiping literally everything but even then, no success. Please help. Thanks.
Why are you unable to flash CM based ROMs? What does TWRP shows when you try to flash?

The problem has been solved. There wasnt a problem in flashing but the cm based roms didnt used to detect my sim cards. I just flashed radios.zip file and now everything works well. Thanks.

Need Help (Flashing Rom)

Hi there. I'm using Redmi Note 3 SD from quite some time. I've officially unlocked the bootloader and flashed many custom as well as MIUI Roms from time to time. But recently I'm facing a problem. I'm trying some Nougat based Roms but facing a weird problem. After flashing Rom when the phone boots up and setup screen comes than while setting up the phone screen crashes in some certain point and it starts from the beginning, it won't past the setup screen. I tried many Roms like NOS, AEX, Lineage but facing the same problem. I've used Nougat based Rom previously but was not facing this issue, it only started when i tried to flashed newer build. Am I doing something wrong. Please I need urgent help so any help will be highly appreciated.
Are u trying to flash the 7.1.2 based rom with 7.1.1 gapps. If yes then first flash the rom and boot, there will be no setup wizard this time and then flash the gapps

try clean flashing.
download latest gapps first
in case u get bootloop, download this- unlock_bootloader.zip
clean dalvik+data+system+cache,
then flash firmware+rom+unlock_bootloader.zip+gapps
(i'm using twrp 3.1.0.0 official by TheStrix, never faced such problem. follow my method mentioned above)

Flash by formating (not wipe) in twrp
Try clean install. Wipe data and system after backing up.
If that doesn't work, Check if any software is making that issue. In my case, not exactly same, but was stuck on boot after flashing super su.
When i tried to flash twrp using flashify. It didn't work for me. My recovery not working anymore. Fastboot not detecting my phone. What to do now to flash recovery??
Try using BeansGapps
