How do I tell the difference between x82x variants when looking at product descriptions? TIA. I'm looking to purchase one of the 6GB/128GB phones. I live in the US (East coast). If anyone has any advice on purchasing one that would be greatly appreciated as well.

You can spot the X829 by the logo printed on the back "CE....", the X820 does not have this, its back is clean, just with Le logo. Also X820 supports band20. X829 was made for USA, it would suit you better I guess.
I think the answer to your question is difficult.
Edit: from the pictures, looks like both are selling X829.
Heyyo, I purchased mine from coolicool. They are owned by Aukey which is good since they are a reliable company to buy usb chargers and such on Amazon with.
It came with a free screen protector which was pre applied and the tpu case it came with works decent but it doesn't protect the camera bump
I didn't pay for express shipping because that defeats the purpose of the discount at least imo... Shipping was 35 days for me in Canada eh? Shipping might be the same or slightly faster in the states but you never know.
I ordered mine from HKTR Store on Aliexpress, mine was X822 but Grey (A wierd combination, probably X820 but with Indian 20s) and I must say that either mine was a prime piece (any ROM I tried that had charger issues or FP issues I had no problems whatsoever, in fact, my FP never died and always unlocks fast (even faster with 23s V033 modem). I got mine with express shipping because no customs in EU so it was well worth it, 14 days of shipping.

I have wanted a StarTrek for a long time but never did buy one, I ended up with a Tilt instead. Anyhow, I am tired of carrying the huge tilt everywhere and am again looking to the StarTrek but I am having a hard time finding one. There are a few on eBay but only one new one and used cell phones on eBay scare me. Any Suggestions? Anyone have one they want to get rid of?

I just purchased a brand new one on eBay for $105 after shipping. It took about three weeks of checking the list of auctions daily until one popped up in the search results. I even setup a saved search and it emailed me when one was found. If you're patient and check the listings for awhile you'll get a great deal sometimes.

You just never know whether to trust these cheap chinese knock-offs though.
Almost 2000 items sold with 100% positive feedback - got to give some, if only a small indication of a decent seller but doesn't necessarily give an insight into the quality and longevity of his products.

Interestingly, this item is very similar to the one referred to here
I note that this HK supplier is only showing a shipping history back to March 2nd - just like the guy in China selling the UK version. Looks like it may be a new product, just available on eBay?

Well, I received my charger and it does charge the tablet......only time will tell what the quality is like. The big problem though is that when the charger is connected the screen locks out and is completely unresponsive. As soon as it is disconnected, the screen comes back to life.
I got back in touch with the seller and he has offered (without any fuss) a refund or replacement. I've opted for him to send another charger so hopefully this is a one-off.
The downside is that it will take another 2-3 weeks to arrive as it's from Hong-Kong. Would be interested to hear feedback from anyone else who used the ebay link with regards to similar problems!

Mine arrived yesterday & didnt try it until I saw your post!
I am typing this on my TF101 with the charger plugged in & charging. No issues at all , works a treat!

Well I did not buy from that particular site but a very similar site called dealextreme. I got an android stick from there and it works petty nicely. I think egg also offer a magnetic charger too. One thing to note tho. It takes forever to the package to arrive. I got mine after a month but that really depends on your country of origin.
Will check out out dealextreme. Did you mean 'newegg" when you said egg? Neweggs doesn't ship internationally so its not an option for me.

I really want this case. Seems for some reason it is very rare and hard to find.
I ordered one a month ago from MyTrendyPhone.com and it has still not arrived. They sent me affidavit to sign that I just sent back. I have a feeling all I am going to get is a refund.

First I got an email saying they would be shipping me a new one.
Then overnight I got an email saying they are sold out and offering me 20% off my next order under $40. Offered me a refund as well.
Why is this case in such sort supply? I don't have one yet, but it looks to be the best case out there. It replaces the back cover which adds less bulk, and has wireless charging built in.
I have not been able to get my hands on one either.
Finally got my refund from MyTrendyPhone.com, and have now placed an order with Expansys.com. They have it available. Also got the Quick Circle Wireless Charging case ,to see which one I like better.

Looks like they only have it in white?
Bought mine from Amazon.de Germany. Use chrome browser and it will translate. Choose other sellers and pick Amazon. Got it in about a week and a half for just under $40 including shipping.
MyTrendyPhone is a garbage company. Ordered from them too but never again. The Slim Guard case is absolutely the best case for the G3. I bought mine from Expansys and received it within a week. It is every bit worth the $45 or so that I paid and yes; it is very hard to find. Your best bet is maybe a secondhand off of eBay.

I just bought two (one for me and the other for my wife) from amazon.de but unfortunately the seller didn't ship to the USA so I had it sent to my cousins apartment in Germany and she forwarded me the package which I received today.

I wouldn't get from Ebay. I ordered one, the wire was to short, it came out on the wrong side, and it only lasted a few months before I had random reboots and heat issues. Try IFixit for about $50 if you need the tools, or Mobil Defenders if you don't for about $15. I've purchased from both places, and after about 6 months they are still going strong.
The only place that still makes those batteries is... China third-party factories. So you won't get NEW OEM batteries.
I found one on e-bay, about €20 including shipment to the Netherlands, from a German seller.
The query i used was "Original Battery Motorola GA40"
