Official Samsung S8+ Screen Protector Review - Samsung Galaxy S8 Accessories

Well I have been struggling to find a decent screen protector untill now.
Online there were alot of terrible reviews on most protectors due to the protectors not sticking. They lift after a few days, reduce the touch sensitivity. The good ones have a sort of dot matrix you can see when the screen is tilted certain ways. So I thought I'd order the genuine Samsung ones I thought hey who better than the manufacture.
I wasn't holding up much hope but I was pleasantly surprised. It isn't a glass protector and it isn't quite the film protectors. It's a little thicker the clarity is crystal clear and the feel is nice. It works with certain cases but not huge bulky ones. I tend to use a case for work and I have a skin on the rear of the phone to stop scratches and a screen protector on the front. Touch wood I haven't broken a phone yet. I want it looking nice and shiny after a year so not to bothered hiding it with a skin.
I will update this review in 7 days after using it in my day to day life. The protector has adhesive all over and is easy to fit as the outer protector has two alignment tabs to hold and a white line the matches perfectly to the bottom and top edges of where the screen starts so you can align perfectly.
I purchased mine in the UK for £14.99 you get 2 in the packaging which is pretty substanical so they shouldn't loss there shape when posting either.
Feel free to ask any questions
Happy reading and happy purchasing.
If you have this protector please write how your experience with it has been so far.

Just ordered these too as I found a very faint scratch on my screen.

Let me know how you get on mate.

Where are you finding samsung branded protectors? They aren't listed on the samsung website.

Please keep us posted on this thanks.

5 days later so far so good the screen protector also works with a tech 21 clear impact case! It hasn't lifted as of yet. Tiny bit of dust being collected by the very edges ever so slight other than that it's perfect.

I'm also wondering how it's doing. Does the protector cover right up to the edge where it meets with the medal? How's it feel...like olephobic coating and feeling smooth...not rubbery.

It is holding up perfect for my usage one issue which I caused I nicked the bottom of the protector which has caused it to tear ever so slightly my fault for taking it out of a case. It feels perfect for me you can tell it isn't the glass but it isn't a bad feel.

The dust collecting on the edges is seriously getting on my nerves. The ocd in me wants to rip the protector off and the other part of me can't stand the small faint marks I have on the screen.

Thank you thumbs up

Hey man thanks, can I suggest that you edit first post so it's easier to track your review.
Also screen protector seemed to be an issue and seems like you found the solution so I'd make it sticky ?
Thanks again ordering

Make sure u trim the corners a little first before applying or it'll lift at some point on the corners I'd ur not perfectly straight with ur application. I took about 1-2mm off mine by following the contours of the corners. It's perfect now.
Despite Spigen advertising to apply it with the case on and that its "case friendly"... Its not perfect. By trimming it slightly before application you'll avoid it lifting.

Agree I had mine since day one and it's perfect with every single case. And I test a few glass screen protectors without luck. As much as I like glass this oficial screen protector seems like a protector made by spigen because of his quality.

Anyone uses a bumper/case compatible with this screen protection ?

Anyone using Protectors and Skins by GadgetShieldz

Hi Guys,
Since there is no good tempered glass or screen protector available for the S7(not edge), Spigen has one but that's way too expensive and I wasn't able to find an authentic one in the market. Has anyone tried protectors and skins by GadgetShieldz? Here's the link-
http://www.gadgetshieldz.com/samsung-galaxy-s7-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html
The plus is that if the product is as good as they are describing then it covers the sides too. The con is that there is no actual proof or hands on video regarding the same+it is still expensive atleast for me but there's no other alternative.
Thanks
I just ordered the matte and the ultra clear screen protectors. I didn't buy the body because I have a Rhinoshield bumper and back protector. I'll post a review once they arrive.
Good product the body shield is
Have been using the Gadgetshielz full body protector for 6 months now. It is quite good and the cuts are precise. Quite a lot of work, applying them is. Be patient after applying, in a week or so, the bubbles and wobbles will sort themselves out. Was hard to believe when I completed installation and saw what a mess it was.
That doesn't look like tempered glass. I will NEVER go back to the flimsy protectors. Too many issues with bubbles, etc. But, I have yet to find a tempered glass that full covers the edges. It's more of an issue when things are right at the edges (such as text) that makes it difficult to read, but I'll take that as it's rare knowing that I have a tempered glass protector on that does a better job of absorbing the shock of a drop.
Using their screen protector, with my rhinoshield bumper case and no bubble. Wanted glass first but all those that I bought, the case lifted them or they had the big halo, lifting all around cause the curve screen.

Thanks mate. I bought two and will report when it arrives
So, here's why review-
Finally ordered them. It was my first time that I was installing any sort of protector and I was super nervous. The protector kept coming off. I had to wet it with the solutions many times. I drove out the bubbles as many as I could but the end result was way too foggy and messy. But after 48 hours everything was gone, except few dust and fingerprints particles which are my fault BTW there's a huge particle of dust on the back button. Can I lift it up just a tad to remove it? I still have the solution, I am planning to wet it to reapply. Will it work?
Also can anyone suggest a good cover for S7? My current one is a chinese one, but I think it will remove the side protectors if I take the phone out few times because with the side protectors the sides bulge out a bit. @r3xx3r @ere1nion
Any way to get the same cover in India?

I searched for a month, ordered like 10 different tempered glasses from various websites but they all sucked. GS's protector is not a glass but it is the best alternative to a glass.
An out of context question, what are these four stripes/white lines located on the top and bottom side of the phone for? Just along the charger and speaker in the photos below-

Those plastic lines are antenna separators. The frame of the phone is used for different antennas, so they must be separated.

An update, I used my phone with the Samsung Gear VR yesterday and when I removed it the protector from the upper side of the phone, where the front camera is got removed I tried to paste the same but it is full of bubbles now . Is anyone else using GS's protector with VR?

Correct it is not. I use the Otterbox Commuter and Otterbox Defender so this is not an issue for me particularly. I had a partial screen protector on already so no shift in change for me there either. I just received mine in the mail today. The back application was by far harder than the front. I didn't get it perfect. It's the material used on the back. I will not be testing this screen protector but I feel confident with it on. Hopefully it will never need to prove itself.
So, my protector is screwed thanks to Gear VR, it kept on removing the upper part of the protector every time I put the phone in the Gear VR or took it out. Has anyone tried the so called buff guard(a type of tempered glass) which covers the whole screen even the edges? Is there any alternative for the GadgetShieldz protector?
My wife just upgraded to an S7 (tried the Moto Z and it was too big, bulky and heavy for her). She wanted a tempered glass screen protector, but not like the one I have (which doesn't cover the entire screen due to the curved edges of the S7).
After much research, I found the amFilm glass protector was one that was listed in many top-10 lists as being excellent. This covers the entire glass but gives room on the edges for cases. My wife has a Speck Candyshell case for her phone and the screen protector works fine with it. My only issue with it is that on the top and bottom (which is fully protected), it's colored. So you have to choose the correct color based on your phone (black or gold). I don't understand why it has to be colored. Why not make it all clear so you can see the actual color of the phone? But it DOES cover the entire screen unlike the earlier brands that came out. And it was very easy to apply and there are no bubbles at all. Touch response is excellent from what I could tell. I tested it and couldn't find any "soft" or "blind" spots that didn't react and I just lightly touched, so it was pretty good. I'll wait and see how it goes with my wife after she's had it for awhile. It also comes with a lifetime warranty for the purchased product. That means, and they state this in the documentation that comes with the protector, that the warranty does NOT apply to a warranty replacement item. So that means, if you've swapped out your initial purchase with a warranty item, you'll have to purchase a brand new screen protector to get a lifetime warranty again. That is pretty standard across most things like this, so I have no complaints.
Here is the gold colored one that I ordered and installed since she has a gold S7:

Thanks for such a detailed review. There are many protector glasses of that sort available in India, all of them are manufactured in china, but not the brand which you have mentioned. The reviews of the chinese one's is pathetic. So, I didn't go for them. Can you please check and confirm whether the phone fits fine in Gear Vr with the protector that you have installed or not?
This one, though its for the Edge model, looks tempting but I will wait for an early bird's review before ordering the one for the non-Edge version which should be available by tomorrow-

Best Clear Case and Screen Protector for the S8

So I'm getting my S8 today but I still don't have anythong for its protection.
1.) What is the best CLEAR case for this device that gives it basic (slim but not too slim)? I also want to have that raised lip for the fingerprint sensor in the back.
2.) For screen protectors, is Temperd Glass recommended for curved devices? If so, which one is best?
I want to have the total cost for these at a minimal as I don't feel like spnding a lot just for the these basic accessories.
Thanks for the help!
Well I wasted almost 30 bucks on screen protectors and the only thing I can say is DO NOT buy any 3D tempered glass that is supposed to cover whole front. The main problem here is the adhesive which is located only on edges of the protector. There is air between screen and protector, which sometimes decreases touch responsivity, forcing you to apply some pressure in certain areas so that the input is registered. Also, most of these 3D glass protectors collide with many cases, so they simply don't work. Personally, just go for some decent case that will secure your device from drop, like RhinoShield or Spigen Neo Hybrid. If you care about design and don't want to lose it, go for something clear and thin/ultra thin
I bought a Baseus case from eBay and lobe it so much. So thin and light and matches perfectly. They are in Amazon too.
Also works with my Darth Vader skin that I have on the back so it still shows that off.

So are you saying not to go with any screen protector at all? Does this apply to the usual "flimsy" screen protectors as well?
Definitely do not buy any harted glass. I have ordered 3D TPU film that has adhesive on whole surface it will ship on thursday so I will tell ya if it works or not

I strongly thinking of going back to no protector. I tried glass and the White Stone dome one was great except the glue on the side kept chipping out and looked terrible. I've got a film protector on now from Best Buy Canada and again it feels so crappy compared to the naked screen. If I remove it I'll still be careful but I do have insurance just in case. I already don't use a case (only a skin) for the very same reason...that I want to enjoy the feel and look of this beauty, not cover to up to protect it for someone else in the future.

I did that with my HTC 10 for a year for the same reason and it has no scratches or micro-abrasions at all. I think it's pretty safe to assume the S8 will be no different. As for going caseless... I wouldn't recommend that for a device mainly made of glass lol. Check out the Supcase review I just posted and try it out if you like. If not, return it or at least you'd have something to put on your phone when you're going somewhere or doing something that may cause you to drop it.
Buy yourself genuine samsung screen protector tpu version and genuine samsung light case.....or silicon case genuine.... all goes 100% together.

Right, I don't have a doubt regarding their genuineness. It's just that there are other screen protectors like the Spigen Neo Flex that costs $8.99 for a 2-pack as well. Same goes for the clear cases, there are others that are significantly cheaper than the Samsung. So I'm just wondering how do these fare with the official Samsung ones. Any thoughts?

Well, yeah, but I want to know how the Spigen compares to the Ringke. Maybe it is better in terms of other departments and the like.

im gonna order the Spigen liquid Crystal as well. as the reviews says its very good case. (remindes the Ringke features)
I'm using the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. I think it a great case. I had the same one on my S7 Edge for a year.

I just finished installing the Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector. Initial thoughts so far is it's the best on the market hands down. Make sure you check for case compatibility before you purchase it though. The price is a little steep at $45 but well worth it IMO. The adhesive is under the entire glass and uses a UV to cure. Clarity and touch performance seem to be spot on. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06Z...+galaxy+s8&dpPl=1&dpID=51W7ozwV4HL&ref=plSrch

Me too, in Midnight Black color! Very elegant and nice.
Haven't understand yet if the clear back will become yellow or not in time...
About the screen protection, I'm a tempered glass lover. Since I've been using them I've saved all my old phones.
I've tried some curved glasses on my S8, but finally the Zagg Sapphire Curve is available in Europe and I've ordered one!
I know, it's not glass, but it's supposed to be harder then glass, and got now it's the cheapest solution for having a protection this good that adheres to all the device's screen.
And I've seen that it's case friendly and that not that bad in touchscreen sensitivity!

The Spigen ultra hybrid on my S7 Edge stayed pretty much clear the year I had it. I'm using a Armorsuit Military screen protector. It's not glass but it will do for now. It's really difficult to find a tempered glass protector for a curved screen. It seems like all if them are junk. I wait and let others experiment until there is one that really works without issues.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXTRWBL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
For clear case, my recommendation would be the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear or the Otterbox Symmetry Clear. The otterbox is slightly chunkier but not much.
As for a screen protector I've tried the Samsung official one and the Spigen Neo Flex.
The Samsung one is a dry application and therefore is extremely difficult to get on right without dust spots. I tried it on 3 different phones and didn't get either of them right, even with the dust removal sticker.
The Spigen Neo Flex is a wet application which is far better cause when it dries out it leaves no dust spots or air bubbles. But imo the corners aren't a perfect fit for most cases. Again I tried a few and even with Spigen cases the corners lifted on all of them. A little trimming of the corners with a scalpel solved this. This protector isn't as clear looking as the Samsung dry film but is of the "military material type" and so self heals with any minor dings and scratches. I'd trim the corners a little (follow the contour of the corner and trim off a mm or two) before applying this for best adhesion on all corners for a case. It def has a slightly different feel to screen but at rhe moment I think this is the best solution of at the moment to protect out precious S8 screens.
Hope this helps.

Are they any good screen protectors out there?

I've been reading all the threads in the forum after I brought my OP 5 yesterday (supposed to arrive to me in the next 2 weeks) and I cant find any solid recommendation.
There aren't any brands making screen protectors to our devices and even less reviews.
-I saw people saying to stay away from the original screen protector made by Oneplus due to the few millimeter lost cause by it.
-I looked on the Orzly screen protector and it looked quiet well but after searching the web I saw multitude negative reviews due lack of adhesiv, dot metrix and rainbows showing up on the screen. but some other who claims the protector is completely fine
In conclusion: In the Glass screen protectors section, there is no good product that will be fine with guarantee ?
If so, there is any other kind of screen protector (not glass one's) such as Skinomi or IQ Shield that are recommended?
I have to order any kind of screen protector as soon as possible before my device will arrive.
thanks for your professional support !
Every single option, glass or TPU, sucks. The best option is the non-glass protector that ships applied to the phone. Baby that one as long as you can.

Still the best, even covered in 2" of lint lol
As much as the screen protectors suck, the Orzly is stil the best of the bunch. I have it installed with no rainbow effect in the middle. Again, I think this is a case of people who have the issues are the ones you see. It depends on how you install it I guess. I know a few others who have also installed it without the rainbow, but I know people who have installed it and have had the rainbow. At least it is a fully screen protector, that doesnt cut off a millimeter of the screen basically, and at least they aren't a company that blames the user for obvious issues with their TGSP *cough* Oneplus *cough*
Take it from someone who has been through 5+ different screen protectors... About the only one that was semi worth a damn was Orzly. You run into ones that don't fill the entire screen and leave the edges exposed, don't stick, cover the front camera or ones that just flat out don't end up sticking. I wish I didn't end up taking off the one that the OP5 came shipped with but oh well lesson learned. As I said as of right now the only semi decent one is Orzly but even that one I had issues with the glue towards the edges peeling so the screen wouldn't respond because the protector was coming off the screen a little. Still though - Orzly or Manufacturer screen that was originally on the one are your best options at this point.
I really like the IQ branded film protector. I've had no problems with it and I only really notice it when I swipe along the edges and feel the film.

do you use the clear protector or the matte one?
how does it feel ? smooth enough? fingerprints residue ?
you dont have problems using it with cases?

I'm using the clear one. It's definitely not as smooth as glass but it's smooth enough. It's more smooth than a glass screen without a oleophobic coating. Fingerprint residue is minimal. The only case I have is the sandstone one from OnePlus and I have no problems with it.

Using the clear IQ protector here too. So far it's the best I've found. I've used the official TGSP, Orzly TGSP, and a couple other cheaper TGSPs. The wet application film screen protectors are the way to go for this phone it seems. Helps a lot with finger prints and I haven't had any issues with it not being slick enough.
think ill just go nude and use a thick case lol. haven't had any scratches on my s8+ which also has gorilla glass 5.
man do i hate how all phones have curved glass of some sort.
Damn those curves.. Let's hope that maybe in a few weeks we will finally get a proper screen protector.

I went and removed the factory installed protector, it was a bad idea. Now I have small hairline scratches on the bottom right corner. I've now ordered a tempered glass in Amazon to hide the scratches.
The one that came with the phone is fantastic imo. I haven't enjoyed tgsp since my nexus 6p because of the 2.5D curved glass craze, no tgsp fits any phone good anymore. Axon, Samsung (ROFL, you thought OUR screen was bad?) , I haven't looked at the screen protectors for the G6, but the screen doesn't appear to be 2.5d so that's a step in the right direction..
When my stock screen protector gets unusable, I'll buy the 30$ crash guard from rhinosheidl ?????? Just to see if the hype is real...
Unless someone already has photos of it....

No idea whatsoever, my stock screen protector from oneplus is still in fantastic shape, so I don't imagine ordering four a couple more months at least.
The ones for the oneplus 3 are 13 dollars on amazon, and ship with prime in the US.. So I imagine in a few weeks the price will become more better.
I've recently seen this on the taobao site. GOR branded TSP. I've used their flat ones on other phones and am quite satisfied with the performance. They have 2 versions, one with the black border, one with a edge sealant sort of thing. I'm planning to get the sealant version next month since my option to add items for cheap shipping is exhausted for July....
If anyone's in China or has bought one, some feedback would be appreciated.

Screen Protector

What screen protector are you going for?
Lots of unknown and untested brands out there. I'm looking for thet tempered glass protection out there that doesn't break the bank.
No Idea, let's see how good the preapplied Protector is. On my prior P9 Lite it lasted 5 Month before i saw some little Scratches.

True, now you mention it the pre-applied screen protector is a brilliant thing to have. It saves us all those early super dread moments while we get accustomed to a larger, slipper and more fragile device ( I come from an all metal, smaller yer sturdier HTC 10). But, as you say it's only a short fix, I'd like to have replacement at the ready for when the scratches do evidently appear.
I think use the preapplied as long as it works. In 5-6 Months the Market will be flooded with good working Screen Protectors, Cases etc.

I'm currently looking at this https://www.ultimateshield.co.uk/collections/huawei-p20-pro
I have used ultimate shield before and they've worked well. It's out of stock now. The page is mostly a placeholder until the phone is released. So hopefully it'll be available soon.
Mobile fun have official accessories listed https://www.mobilefun.co.uk/huawei/p20-pro
Anybody have news if rhinoshield is gonna release for the P20 pro?
I purchased this screen protector here in the UK as I didn't want a mis-alignment of the tinted ones to affect the front camera or sensors: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BLQHY5X
It is really good. I did use the glue that comes with it to bond the glass together to the screen to fill in the air gaps, does a great job. It is very light as I accidentally touched some of it and put some on the screen that I simply wiped off. i.e. not like super glue!
Also there are 2 of each item inside just incase or for future.

Initially when I applied it there were slight air gaps all the way round, but much better than no glue of about half a centimetre gap. However overnight all air gaps disappeared and it's perfectly flat right now. No issues so far, really loving it. Obviously lets see in a months time how it goes.
When this comes into stock:

Alternatively contact them to enquire on availability.
6 months on and I'm yet to find a screen protector that I'm entirely happy with.
I've tried these via Amazon:
G-Color Huawei P20 Pro Screen Protector, [Updated Version] 9H Hardness Tempered Glass
OMOTON Huawei P20 Pro Screen Protector - Full Coverage Tempered Glass Screen Protector - [
Ibywind 2PCS Pack Huawei P20 Pro Screen Protector,**Bubble Free Installation Applicator:
G-Color is the best of the bad bunch as it's full adhesive. The issue I have is that it seems to scratch more easily than others and the black surround is slightly wider than that on the device so when viewing white pages you notice that some of the screens is slightly hidden under the edge of the screen protector.
Anyone got any other recommendations?
I use nillkin tempered glass 0.2mm. With my UAG plasma, Ringke Fusion X and Spigen rugged armor case.
Pros: No airlifts, No fingerprint smudges
Cons: Easily chips on the sides.
Already on my 2nd nillkin tempered glass.
hth.
Just bought this two from Aliexpress. The front one is HydroGel screen protector. It is very soft plastic but covers the entire screen. They said the plastic self-healing. True enough, the surface feels like the back of my old LG G Flex 2 (which also have the self-healing coating). I try to make few scratches and they slowly disappeared. As you can see in the first attachment, it is almost invisible and covered all the corners and curves.
For the back, it is transparent 3D carbon fiber vinyl. Really pleased how it turns out.

Applied correctly despite instructions being really unclear and still ended up with plenty of air bubbles trapped.
I guess I'll never find a screen protector for this phone lol

how long did the pre applied screen protector lasted for you?
it is pretty good as i can see it for this few days of using the phone...

What's a great, super slick plastic film screen protector

Hi folks,
I'm used to using TGSP, and I bought one of the OP TGSPs for the 6T, but for now I'm leaving it unopened. I actually like the factory-applied plastic film, except for the fact that it picks up scratches so easily.
Is there a more durable or self-healing plastic that has that same slick feel and edge-to-edge coverage? I'd like to replace my factory one with a similar-but-less-scratchable alternative without adding the thickness of glass and without losing edge to edge coverage.
I've read lots of these threads but there are so many opinions and most of the action is around TGSP.
I'm in the US, so please focus on ones available here.
My current best guess from Amazon is the IQ Shield one.
Thanks!

I couldn't find one like stock so I opted for a glass one mad by SuperShieldz.
I had used them before.
Works pretty well and I'd give it about a 4.5/5.

Been using the one you posted for a month now and it's great. Perfect fit and even covers a lil bit of extra room at the bottom so if you're using nav gestures you won't be peeling at the bottom of it.
I used to use Armor Suit film protectors exclusively on all of my phones. May want to give them a look. I never had any issues with them at all.

I'm using that one now. Closest to the stock one. Doesn't scratch easy at all. First try had 3 specks under by earpiece. 2nd attempt I have 1 speck in middle but it's liveable. I would definitely recommend it. The tgsp just blocks the edges. I didn't even have to retain fingerprints
Ok, I ordered it. Will install this weekend. Kinda scared to remove the factory one but it's already scratched after a month, and my phone lives in a case most of the time.
Will report back how it goes. Is it wet apply or dry?

Last night I removed the pre applied protector and put on the IQ shield one. It was an easy wet apply process. Got it on fine though maybe close to a mm too low; after it had mostly dried out by this morning I had a bit of an edge at the bottom where the screen curves. I burnished it down and hope it will stay. The protector is pretty full coverage, with a notch for the camera.
It was easy to work out the few bubbles while everything was wet, and I looked at the phone on edge using light reflections to see bumps to be squeegeed out. As expected there was some distortion while it was still wet, so I just set the phone aside until morning.
Fast forward 10 hours, and the distortion is gone. There is a definite orange peel "microbump" effect on the screen protector surface; hopefully that will diminish as it continues to dry out.
It's also not as slick as the original pre applied protector, at least not yet.
Let's see how it goes and will report back in a few days.

Approaching 48 hours. The IQShield protector is doing well. It feels a bit slicker to my touch than it used to, perhaps due to a slight haze of finger oils after being used for a while, or perhaps because it's fully dry now.
It still has the orange peel ripple effect on the surface. I'm attaching a picture of what a reflection of light looks like on it, so you can get an idea:
View attachment 4696222
The material is soft; if you drag a fingernail across it, it will leave a trail until it squishes back out. This is the "self healing" property. Reminds me of the coating on the screen protector I had on my 3T.
I was hoping for a smoother, "harder" surface with the IQShield, but it is a high quality product. If you are looking for a full coverage plastic screen protector and like the slightly squishy self healing type, this one is a no brainer. Excellent wet apply process and it seems robust. If you are looking for "a replacement for glass, but something that won't break" this probably isn't for you.
I'm going to live with it for a month or two and see how I feel. I may eventually remove it and replace with a glass TGSP.

Thanks for your review/input. I was torn between this or the Skinomi one. I had a TGSP before from Omotion with the oem case and it landed face first and cracked the digitizer because it sat flush with the lip of the case. It was my kinda my fault though because I knew this and was waiting on my Rhinoshield bumper and couldn't wait to slap on my TGSP. Anyways got it fixed and always kinda wanted the orangy look because I never could afford Zaggs years ago [emoji38]

I remember the Zagg protectors! Had one on my DroidX in ~2010. Good product but it absorbed dye from my holster case and got gradually darker in regions of it where it had most contact with the inside of the holster. I sent it back eventually and got a free replacement; good warranty. I hope this IQShield one won't darken...

I will have the wet imak film protection any time now, though I wonder if I apply it or keep the stock one.
For people who applied third party film protection do you recommend it or no difference with stock?
IQshield is self healing and soft squishy not flat like the stock one. I like it after some use.

Doesn't fully cover the visible screen area, same as many cheaper protectors.
Im in the same boat as OP.
Really liked the pre-applied screen protector the 6T came with (does Oneplus not sell that one?)
Lasted about 2 months, but I really liked how clear it was.
I ordered the IQ Shield one, and while good, it has the orange skin effect going on that the included didnt have. Any recommended options for clear flim protectors for the 6T?

Yep, put mine on today, it sucks. Doesn't cover the whole screen, makes it look a little grainy, just a crappy product. Yeah maybe it's super strong but what's the point of it makes using the device a poor experience?
