Stuck on "Powered by ANdroid", No Recovery or eRecovery - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to upgrade from 7.4.16 to 7.5.1 by creating a flashable zip from huawei update extractor, and the zip file created by it include modem.img to flash to /dev/block/mmcblk0p30. so when i reboot it, the phone will stuck in Powered by ANdroid splash screen. trying to boot to recovery mode won't work. but by pressing vol+ vol- and power key, i can enter recovery mode, the stock recovery will try to flash sdcard/dload/update.app, but will fail at 5%. the twrp recovery is working but flashing normal zip including system, boot, cust won't help.
So one day I was searching how to flash modem.img and found out dc-phoenix tool can do that for honor 8. so i gave a try.

the tool is not free, i have to pay eur 15 to get a account to unbrick it. since huawei customer service costs about eur 8 in my area, i think its worthy.
To ensure, i try method 2 of it. this needs to download a factory image for my phone, click Enter Support area a web page will open, find firmware of my deivce, whick is
PLK-AL10_CM001026_Factory_firmware_general_Android_5.0_EMUI_3.1_testpoint.dgtk
my phone is already in fastboot mode, just connect it to pc, click update waiting...
after a long waiting finally its over, no error.
i use fastboot reboot to boot it and it just boots fine. so the phone is unbricked, but system is not useful, model became unkown. the factory version is emui 2.0, i can not upgrade to newer version.
so i need to try method 1 again. this time i downloaded emui 4.0 b388 from club.huawei.com, load it.
at first i used a wrong version for another phone model, it will always fail, so its important to make sure the rom is full stock one for the exact phone model. if third part adb/fastboot software exists, close them first, lick wandoujia, hisuite, qq... then click update to start.
when its ready, my phone can boot up fine with emui 4.0, but sim card is not working, so i had to continue the step 2. reboot to recovery with usb plugged in. this step was a lot slower then step 1 but just wait patiently.
At home this step always fail at writing file 21 of 22:System instantly, showing out of memory which is not normal since my pc
has 16g memory, and hard disk still has 8g left. But on my work pc, its fine, a little strange.
if this step failed, i think the best way is contact support or try in another pc. last night when it failed i try to flash via official method, shows cust update failed the reboot. i guess the sim not working is related to that.
when this step finished, the phone will reboot automatically.

Hi, I don't think that flashing that would help, can you acces the fastboot mode ? (vol down and power)

Hi, i can't help you for now, but i have your same smartphone and i want to make a cwm recovery.
I've been rooted succesfully the phone and i made a cwm for this device, does anyone know how put the you25 in fastbootmode?
*deleted*
your help will be apprecciated,
the phone if of my girlfriend and now, after tryng to flash a cwm recovery built by the online builder, the you25 is still in bootloop.
Fortunately, I made a backup of the stock recovery and now i have to reflash it.
I need to know how put the phone in fastboot mode or eventually how reflash all the entire system, (before my girlfriend knows what i did:crying.
If you are interested, i made a cwm porting that works for 50%, you can backup and restore all entire system; then i tried the online builder to make it 100% working but with no success.

No, i can't access adb, i need to put it in fastbootmode by pressing at startup a sequence of buttons. (Es, power+vol down or whatever else for this devise).
Now i see the android logo only plugyng the power cable, it still appears for about 3-4 seconds, then the backlight of the three buttom buttons lights on and then the device reboots.
Initially, I flashed the recovery by adb, after rooted the mobile and mounted the filesystem in r/W mode with:
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/blocks/mtdblocks10
.
You can find the right number by typing in adb shell:
Code:
cat /proc/partitions/
I have experience with other device, generally you can flash with adb, fastboot and by download mode, if the device boots you can always fix it, but you need the right tools.

what happens when you boot the device by normal start, does it also go into the 3-4 seconds bootloop or does it get stuck on the android logo?
i had my device stuck there already too but i was still able to access adb.

The device starts only if i plug the power cable, after 5-6 second the android logo shows up and then after 4 seconds the device reboots.
Adb doesn't work for me, but if you have adb working i think i can help you.
What is the last think you made to the device before beeing stock on the boot?

Thank you, but that doesn't work for me.
What about jtag? i have experience with decoders but nothing about smartphones.
Reading about how restore nexian a850, i founded that is possible to reflash the you25 with the sprocoom tool and the same driver of the nexian a850. Unfortunately I do not have the firmware for the you 25. Has anyone it, please?
I think that it is possible to flash the device using the img files that i created before and a prebootloader.
I have also to edit a file with a list of all partitions with their address in hex format.
Unfortunately i do not know these values, and i cannot see them from my device because it doesn't work. can anyone help me, please?
here is a list of all partitions:

EASY fix for 'IMEI 00' / fixing EFS - (No backup needed) GT-I9300

Hello,
First I want to thank this forum for providing the information. This forum was a help in the process finding out this fix!
NOTE: I'm not claiming that this methode will fix this problems for everyone but it worked for me so maybe you can give it a try.
Problem/My situation:
I've tried to root a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 with the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4, but after the proces my device wasn't rooted so I placed a SuperSu zipfile on my internal storage and flashed twrp-3.0.0-0-klte with odin on the device. I booted in recovery and installed SuperSu. Now my phone was rooted properly said the Root Checker app. But... when booting I'm never asked for a SIM pincode and my IMEI disappeared. After some googling I found out I had to fix the files in the EFS map..
I only backed up through 'Backup and restore' with my samsung account.. so that was quite useless.
What you need:
-Phone must be bootable in recovery and download mode
-PC with Kies and internet connection
******************your data will be lost********************
What I did/Solution:
Boot in recovery, go to 'Wipe' > 'Advanced', I checked ALL boxes and did the wipe.
I turned my device of.
Now what you got to do is pull your battery out and take note of the 'S/N', mine has this format: xx0xx0x0xxx
Now start Kies on your pc and connect your phone. Under 'Tools' you will find: Firmware upgrade and initialization, go there. You will be asked for your model, enter: GT-I9300, after that you must enter the S/N you found on the sticker under your battery.
As you follow the proces you put the phone in download mode (volume down, home and power button) and if you follow the steps mentioned on screen you will eventually get to a screen with 'Software update and initialization completed', it will tell you that the device will reboot and that you have to connect the cable afterwards...
Now, wait till you see the android logo and wait till you get to the

.
In my case it got stuck here, so I pulled out the battery.. And I placed it back in and booted normally.. Everything was okay, it worked!
So that's all, I hope this will help you with this problem!
EDIT:
Now, If you want to root the device:
1. Connect the phone to your PC
2. Download twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar (Make sure it is this version! https://dl.twrp.me/i9300/twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar )
3. Download SuperSu zip (I used 2.65)
4. Place the SuperSU ZIP on the phone's storage
5. Open Odin and load the twrp tar in AP and flash..
6. After rebooting turn your device off and boot in to recovery
7. Go to 'Install' and navigate to the Supersu zip and install..
8. After rebooting you should have a rooted GT-I9300
Hey there,
Thank you for your post.
I unforunately am in the same position as you and the above method I've tried many times, but it doesn't seem to work.
I'm currently playing around with other ways and means, so hopefully i'll be able to figure something out cause I flat out refuse to arrange hardware to fix it or send it to a Samsung Service place. They messed it up using the software updates surely they can fix it too!
I'll let you know how I get on.
Cheers

Logo stuck when trying to follow guide

Hello friends.
I have a problem with my Realme XT.
I followed the steps in this official guide to get back to Android 9 as I upgraded to Android 10.
https://c.realme.com/in/post-details/1298568315811135488
I had the latest version C.06 and the bootloader blocked and I proceeded to downgrade. Now the phone is stuck on the version 9 logo, it does not allow me to access the recovery, I can only turn it off by pressing the power button + volume + key combination.
Can you recommend something to fix it?

If you have a locked bootloader, only the service center can help you. But before that, you could try Volume Down while powering up to see if fast boot opens!! If it opens and you're able to access the Stock Recovery from there, you have some chances of recovering without a visit to the service center.
EDIT: If you're sure that your phone is f****d for now, and if service centers are not an option, for now, you could try this.
If the Fastboot mode still opens, connect to pc through ADB and use this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/an.../guide-how-to-reboot-to-edl-fastboot-t3394292) to boot to Emergency Download Mode. If you succeed, you can use the MSM Download Tool (https://www.getdroidtips.com/msm-download-tool/) to flash the stock firmware. Haven't tried. Just saying.

Thank you very much for your answer, it has been very helpful and informative.
I'll tell you that it can't get past the brand's logo, I don't have access to recovery.
I was testing the programs that you mention MSM Download Tool, I looked for the special rom for this program.
I have managed to put it in download mode but it only stays about 10 seconds and then the cell phone restarts.
The pc detects it through the COM port but the program does not, it disconnects after the 10 seconds that I mention.
I attach a photo for you to see.
*It's funny, I have a xioami with a broken screen and I connected it to the pc through donwload mode, this cell phone program detects it normally and does not disconnect.
I attach the photo of the connection.
Any news on this?
I have also bricked my bootlocked stock phone while trying to downgrade it from stock c08 (android 10) to stock ROM (android 9). Now it just shows the logo on the initialization. Not even the power button can turn it off. You must press power and volume up and hold them for it to turn off (or so it seems).
When I try to go to recovery, it just shows the logo and stays there. When I try to enter fastboot, it flashes something quickly and then enters the logo screen and stays there.
There is no service center in my city or region.
And there any trustworthy guide for beginners on how to use the MSM tool?

Bricked Vodafone Smart Tab 4G stuck at Android logo.

Hey I'm new to this forum and Android Tablets in general. I have received a Vodafone Smart Tab 4G, which doesn't boot up. It's an old Tablet and it hasn't been used in a couple years. I want to see if I can make it boot up and test whether it's still usable for minor tasks. I thought I'd try to install an update using an SD card, but it's surprisingly impossible to find anything from an official source. The service menu does say "KTU84P release-keys" which seems to suggest that it has Android 4.4.4 installed.
What I've tried so far:
1: Go into the service menu and do a factory reset.
2. Try to find an update file to install through SD card method (to no avail)
3. Put some alleged stock roms onto an SD card and try to use the update function (fails on the verification step)
4. Installed ADB & Unsigned Mediatek Vcom Drivers on Windows 10. ADB has no connection to the Tablet.
5. Downloaded and tried SmartTab4G_Recovery_KK_benjaminwan to no avail. It gets stuck at "waiting for device".
6. Downloaded SP Flash tool, but failed to find a ROM for the Smart Tab 4G with a scatter file.
7. Out of desperation I tried to flash it with a Smart Tab 3G Rom which had a scatter file, but when I press download nothing happens.
My current understanding is that the standard service menu isn't meant to be used to flash the firmware. If I had an official update file I might have had some success, but I couldn't find one. All the other attempts involving a connection to my Windows 10 PC failed, which seems to indicate that I might be using bad drivers. I'm honestly at my wits' end and I don't understand why this is any more complicated than going to the manufacturers website, finding my device, downloading the most recent system software and flashing it through the service menu. Hope someone can help me out with this one.
Update: Tried a different computer. Partial success. Device manager actually recognized an Android device this time. I installed the usb driver and the recovery batch actually didn't get stuck on "waiting for device" this time. That's great news, although I didn't get much further. Here's what I got:

Thread can be closed. I got it after all with the help of the available information. Turns out the recovery.bat was a dead end. Not sure why it didn't work for me with the batch. I tried the approach explained here with cmd and it worked fine.
fastboot -i 0x1bbb oem unlock
fastboot -i 0x1bbb boot cwm.img
Once I was in the cwm everything went smoothly since verification was disabled and I could install a custom rom. This probably took me way longer than it should've, but at least it's working now.

RMX2155 Bootloader problem

Hi guys!
Wo, i've got a question about Realme 7 bootloader, since i dont really know where else i could ask.
I unlocked my phone using THIS guide.
Everything went smoothly, until the end. After the phone rebooted, i tried going into fastboot mode (bootloader). Well... I encountered a problem:
For a few seconds, there was a string of numbers, and at the bottom was this message:
"the serial is not match.
fastboot_unlock_verify fail"
Sorry for the bad quality

And well, i wanted to ask if anyone had simillar issue, and do you maybe know how to fix it?
I think you would be able to install a custom recovery and ROM within the recovery menu cause the Fastboot mode is only enabled thru the DeepTest which I don't think it worked (it also didn't in my situation)

Well, actually fastboot worked after i flashed stock ROM, but i couldnt boot at all to the bootloader. But i still wasnt able to install TWRP through realme recovery, idk how to even do this.
I red in a forum that someone had the same problem but managed to install a custom recovery thru the recovery menu cause the fastboot mode
I had also managed to do the same but I didn't have any custom recovery afterwards idk why but when I tried it just kep flashing "Recovery..." and not redirecting me anywhere

Hmm this is a weird problem. First and last time buying realme phone for anything root-related haha. I also had a problem with magisk, since it just said "download failed" after i tried flashing it in recovery. I did download the .apk file and rename it for zip file, zo it should be good to go, but idk.
Hello Realme 7 user,
Don't worry I had this problem too, I had a hard time unlocking the bootloader and after that I was disappointed fastboot wasn't working when I entered the RUI recovery, for most phones fastboot is enabled after you unlock the bootloader and the key combination for Realme 7 isn't actually POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN, this key combination will bring you in the normal RUI recovery.
I found a method which is working but I don't know if it really depends on the firmware (I was using RUI1 A10 when I found this) but you actually boot into the OS, then go to developer options, enable USB debugging and fire up an ADB Shell and then type adb reboot fastboot.
Don't be scared, it will reboot into the RUI recovery but fastboot it's actually enabled now. You can verify if fastboot is enabled by typing fastboot devices. See if it works now.
