Try some vpn and changes your location to UK

I'm not sure, but I don't think you can, can you? Wasn't this answered recently elsewhere?
I'm in the UK and I just set the locale to Italy. Appears to have made no obvious difference... although the thought of pasta suddenly seems a lot more appetising

[Q] Region Problems HELP!!!

Hi,
I have just received my new HTC Flyer wifi/3g, the only problem I have is that it was shipped from Hong Kong so i t is set for the Middle east although with a UK keybourd it only supports UK Vietnamese or Hong Kong keyboards also it does not recognise the time servers so asks for me to set the date and time. Is it possible to set it so it recognises that it is in the UK and implements everything for UK use. I have tried to use the location settings to no avail. Or will I have to root it and download a rom with UK English keyboard support.
Kind Regards
Paul
try the market app More Locale
...you know the difference between Asia and the Middle East, right?

Location choice

Hi all.. I have just today received my note 4 global edition and turned it on and love it... However when setting up it asks to choose your locale but there is no united kingdom option..
Question is what am I missing and what have other uk users picked. I chose Poland purely because of my Samsung s2 days.
Any help advise etc great fully received. :good:

I think I chose Spain, but it doesnt seem to make a difference in actual usage terms (anywhere in the OS), as you set the language to english anyway.
Hi,
I'm also in the UK and it doesn't matter what location you choose, you can set time and date and also the wether app has all UK cities.

Setting "Region": Country Is Not Available

My home country and many others countries also, are not available in the setting "Region". Also I have to determine, that the whole MIUI Software is very buggy. Though I use MIUI Global 8.2 | Stable 8.2.10.0, which is the more stable one than the MIUI 8.5.8.0 which has anymore bugs. I'm not enthused about this circumstance.
Please, could you explain me, how exactly works the setting "Region" in an Android phone? Which effect has a wrong setting, and a wrong selected country? Or I ask in another way: Which other settings in Android impacts the wrong selected country? Which effect could have a wrong selected country to installed Apps? (Could an App check the setting "Region"?)
Could somebody explain, who is really familiar with Android settings, which effects the setting "Region" has to other settings? Therefore please, read my question in my first posting above.
Please, does anyone have a working solution for this problem?
It doesn't have much effects. There are few extra apps that are available in specific regions like India.
I'm from Pakistan and theme app was not available until I changed my region to India.

One person has implied that global restricts notifications to 9 is that true?
Also do you have global version yourself?

Is the Australian version International?

Hey! I'm looking into getting the Oppo Find X. I live on the UK and I realise that I can get it in Europe in France or something but it is €999 which is around £880. I did some digging and found I can import the Australian version because it's cheaper and is around £700. (Note I can only afford around £700 so please don't say just to import it from France anyway).
I would like to know if the Oppo Find X Australian version is basically the international version and if it comes with the following things...
1. Google Play Services
2. Ability to change launcher
3. If the Australian version is missing any features the Europe version has.
4. Will I receive notifications
Thank you and hope to get an Oppo Find X soon!
Hello. First, there's no really "international version" of this phone. You have Chinese version, Spanish version, french version, Australian version, etc.
They all are pretty much the same. The only one that is different is the Chinese version.
Regarding your question:
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Don't think so, cause they are pretty much the same. What you will miss in all version, except Chinese version, is the navigation gestures. Oh, and the oppo change theme store. But if you're planning to use a third party launcher that won't affect you
4) Probably you will have to make some adjustments to get your notifications

Thank you so much! The navigation gestures not being there is kinda annoying but idm haha. Thank you and hopefully I can get the phone soon (going from Note 8)! Big help, thanks!
You're welcome!
I have the Chinese version and it's good. I'm very used to the navigation gestures so not having it in others version is very disappointed, but that's my opinion. And not having Spanish language is not good neither, but I use more locale and is good now.
This phone with stock Android would be the best phone ever.
Probably the worst thing about this phone is the notifications, not just having problem with receiving them, but I hate that they're not show in the status bar. You have to swipe down to see them...very annoying.
I'm using Australian version 128gb with vooc. I have both gestures, and theme store. We also have 256gb Super vooc and Lamborghini. I can't comment on them.
