Relock bootloader? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Is there a way to relock the bootloader after flashing TWRP and lineageos and be able to use it as normal?
I want the benefits of custom ROMs and also the benefits of a locked bootloader.

Unlocking bootloader

Is there a way to unlock bootloader and relock it if I'm not that satisfied with the ROMs. What I mean with relocking is like it's back to stock bootloader. Thanks!

If you want to install a kernel like lupus, first you need to unlock your bootloader. Use this tool to unlock it.

The risk of brick your device, but a lot of people already unlocked their bootloaders without any problems, your DRM will be permanently deleted, but believe me you can get more from your phone when the bootloader is unlocked, really worth it.

And you loose your warranty
Drm won't be lost if you unlock using testpoint method.

First check the bootloader status.whether its unlocked or not.
If its already unlocked then you can flash any custom kernel. If not you have to unlock BL first. Its not harmful but it will avoid your phone warranty.Try to use SE web site to unlock BL.Its the safest way..
After unlocking BT u can flash kernels anytime using Flash toolâ„¢..
Re:How to install a kernel
To install a custom kernel, you have to unlock your bootloader and there are two ways of doing it:
1.Use the official sony method...
head to unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and follow the procedure there..
by doing so you lose your DRM keys which means services like track id wont work anymore...
2.use a testpoint method which is a bit complicated but you retain your DRM keys
for the testpoint method check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730874
Bootloader unlocking should be done carefully, you might brick your phone if you are not careful..
after the unlock is complete you can use flashtool to flash a custom kernel in fastboot mode..

Flash what?
(Un)locked bootloader only affects, if custom kernel can be installed or not. Everything else is the same.
Stock kernel can also be installed with locked bootloader.

I've not been able to find it.
With all due respect, and without being too much of an arse, if you can't manage to find the thread maybe you should think twice about installing a custom recovery!

I respect your choices, but I wonder why you don't want to unlock your bootloader (unless you got an UK model)? In that way, you can flash a custom recovery without any problem.
If you are worried about warranty or DRM keys, you can relock bootloader and backup the DRM keys. You can even have z3 features with custom roms (Existenz).

You don't need to unlock your bootloader to flash a recovery. My Z2 is unlocked, rooted and has a custom recovery. Not everybody wants to install custom Rom.
Sent from my SGP311 using XDA Free mobile app
No need to unlock your bootloader to use a recovery and flash a rom what is based on stock, search before post and also read !
Check the dual recovery thread by @[NUT]
Congratulations, sir. I know there is a way to flash a custom recovery with a locked bootloader, I only said that if you unlock your bootloader, nothing bad happens. By the way, didn't said that he must install a custom rom, only said that you can have z3 features if you install a custom rom.
It sure is: I have my Z2 with LB (unlockable), rooted with "xdualrecovery" and flying with one of the most consistent stock-based roms I've ever dealed with: existenz by Niaboc79. If you go further with installing a recovery, you should give that ROM a try.

I'd rather not blow up your bubble, but afaik, two words prevent multirom to be installed on your device, them being Locked and Bootloader.... a modified kernel is needed to do so, therefore locked bootloader can only run on stock kernels... sorry...
of course if your Bootloader unlock is set to "allowed: yes", you can first unlock your bootloader, however if it's set to "bootloader unlock allowed: no", I guess nothing can be done...
