Sure, all you need to do is download correct ROM package,
altogether with SPFlashTools, drivers, instead of using rom's from some stupid sites and noob forums.
Download : PB2-650M_S038_170228_ROW Full ROM package
pass: lenovo-forums.ru
Procedure :
- Unpack All
- Install drivers from \Drivers folder
- Start SPFT
- Click download agent and select "DA_SWSEC_CRYPTO20_0403.bin"
- Press CTRL + ALT + S
- Click auth file and select "auth_sv5_98998_philip.auth"
- Click Scatter loading and select scatter from \SW\target_bin
- Press Download and connect powered off device to usb cable
- Wait for finish.
Post results.

How to root this phone ?
See you and thanks for all!
Up
1.Dowoad the file from the link below.
2. Then download Clockwork Mod Custom Recovery.
3. Then boot into recovery mode, and choose "install from SD Card".
4. Choose Clockwork mod recovery.zip, and it will boot you into a different recovery.
5. From that recovery mode you should be able to flash .zip files without signature verification.
6. Choose install zip from SD Card and choose SU Installer.zip.
Note:To unroot just flash SU Uninstaller.zip the same way you did to flash Installer.zip.

Bonjour
J'ai suivi ce poste (procedure un peu longue) et tout c'est bien passé pour moi (One touch m'pop de chez free: rooté ).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38337401&postcount=5
Cordialement.
PS: Il faut etre bien rigoureux sur les etapes de cette procedure. Je ne peux etre tenu pour responsable en cas de brickage du telephone.
Ronny927, in the page //clockworkmod. com/rommanager isn't the rom for the alcatel m'pop. Can you upload a .zip file for this phone please?
Lucien, if you understand me.... xd, can you upload your .img file? I can't get the recovery file with the sp flash tool
Sorry for my english, i am spanish
I don't see rom for alcatel here, maybe there is another way for this but i just can't get around it.
Anyways, i spend some time searching, and came up on some french forum, some guy said he rooted his m'pop using this method.
(Since i'm new user i cannot post outside links)

This was translated with google translate so it might have some mistakes. For people speaking french, here's the full post in french.

Can anyone confirm this procedure is working ? I am still not comfortable playing with my phone regarding this, because i'm still noob about these things. If anyone can try this method and share your opinions i'd be grateful.
Yeah! That link was really usefull, the french guy's procedure works perfect!

Follow the procedure at the begining of the thread. Or download the full package with instructions. There's no problem with it. The most important thing is that your PC recognizes your 5020 as it said.

I just came across this thread. I own the Alcatel One Touch Evolve 5020N on MetroPCS. I haven't activated it. I'm going to give 5 of 'em to my children for use as Wi-Fi only music and game players. I was wondering if you'd can be used for my phones do they will have CWM? I followed directions I found on rooting, so that's out of the way, just need a recovery. Thanks.

Take it easy my friend, we all suffer this kind of stuff and this Alcatel OT isn't a piece of cake hehe. Download this link and besides the files you'll find a tutorial with the easiest way to root and all your phone. I've been surfing and I think it's the clearest way for you to follow. I've tried it and works perfectly.

I have encountered a similar incompatibility trying to use the SM-J100H TWRP recovery onto a SM-J100Y handset. Trying to boot into recovery after doing this freezes it, and I have to power it off to get out of it.
It looks like some further development is needed to create a compatible Rom/TWRP image that wont brick the SM-J100Y.

Comparing the 2 models on here (I can't post links...) mobosdata.com/samsung-galaxy-j1-sm-j100y and mobosdata.com/samsung-galaxy-j1-sm-j100h, the hardware differences are:
RAM: J100y-768MB ; J100H-512MB
SIM: J100y=Single SIM ; J100H=Dual SIM
Network: J100y=3G 850, 900, 2100 MHz, as well as 4G 700, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz ; J100H=3G 900, 2100 MHz
NFC: J100Y=yes ; J100H=No
Hotspot: J100Y=yes ; J100H=No
AudioRecording: J100Y=yes ; J100H=No
I just wanted to install TWRP. Does anyone know if you need to unlock the bootloader for that using Odin? I would not have thought so, but I could be wrong.
Rooting SM-J100Y
'J100YDXU0AOC1_root.tar' image by Hosam Kashto (Password "hosamkashto") does indeed work for rooting my SM-J100Y but i fail to connect to my network Skinny, if there is a way to edit the image and make a boot img for the updated firmware version i'll be willing to give it a shot. And how hard is it to create a TWRP/CWM rom for this device?
root access successful
I have successfully rooted my samsung J100Y with no issues what so ever, J100YDXU0AOC1.
You need to install kingoroot on your phone first then install kingoroot on your PC, Also install ODIN V3.07 on your PC to get this done properly, when I get home I will upload the files to my dropbox and give better details how to do this correctly.
How To Root Samsung Galaxy J1
This is how you root the Samsung Galaxy J1 (J100YDXU0AOC1) Australia.
- Install Kingoroot on your phone
- Install both Kingoroot and Odin V3.07 on your PC (in the files provided below)
- Put your phone into download mode, power off the phone then hold down power, home and volume down until you see the little android robot
- Open Odin V3.07 and plug your phone in
- Click on PDA in Odin V3.07 and navigate to the file J100YDXU0AOC1_root.tar and press Start (let it work its magic)

I had a chance to get my hands on this "crappy" piece of device , helping some friend ... so ,
i've tried your tutorial and the phone was stuck in a loop (loading circle ... ) , so i've tried modding the simlock file which worked :fingers-crossed: !
I have used this firmware (click after creating account and login on that website , post link here)(MT6735M_S00_EMMC_Vodafone_VFD 500_6_0_alps-mp-m0_mp1-V2_39_1_jhz6735m_35u_vf_m_P197(2017_07_31_18_14) and SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1828_Win) the scatter file with the modded simlock can be downloaded from here (*this also contains twrp recovery and root zip , flashable with the same sp flash tool by loading scatter file) what i did was to first follow your tutorial , format all partitions , then download the firmware into the phone without the simlock file, since that wasn't working (stuck in a loop) , i went into modding the simlock file (from the firmware above) with a hex editor and then download (only ! no format !! ) the simlock file into the phone (load scatter file in the sp flash tool , select download and check box only for the simlock file (*the modded one) and reboot it , worked like a charm , phone booted in a blink and started processing (app processing , creating dalvik cache etc) , i've tried an orange *operator / network sim and worked ! .
TIPS : YOU CAN TRY JUST TO DOWNLOAD ONLY THE MODDED SIMLOCK FILE INTO YOUR PHONE USING SP FLASH TOOL BY LOADING THE SCATTER FILE (ZIP LINK ABOVE) WITHOUT FLASHING THE WHOLE FIRMWARE , IT MIGHT WORK AS WELL , SINCE THE FILE IS FLASHED ... GO CLEAR CACHE FROM THE RECOVERY MENU AND REBOOT YOUR DEVICE , DON'T FORGET TO REPORT HERE .
I initially wanted to create a separated thread for this but since i've found this post via google i believe is more helpfull for the others by writing all this in here :silly: .
Hello community
Can someone please give me valid links and tutorials for unlock this phone, i´ve been here for more than 6 hours looking on how to do this, but there´s always a software or file missing. I can´t even install the USB drivers, or find a TWRP properly.
What a headache..
Thanks in advance

[SOLVED] Frustrated... SP Flash Tools : "S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL" | MT8163

Solved : See last post. (tl;dr : flashed another zip through stock recovery)
Hi everyone !
I'm in a frustrating situation at the moment and I need some help.
The Problem
Everytime I try to flash the Stock ROM (or anything, even format/readback/etc...) with SP Flash Tools, I get the following error : "S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)".
Probably a VCOM driver problem, but I just can't get them to work.
Main Infos :
- Device : Iconia Tab 10 (A3-A40) - Unlocked Bootloader
- Chipset : MT8163
- PC OS : Windows 10 x64
- The tablet is not bricked, I just do not have anything installed (wiped /system, /data, /cache (+ Dalvik)), preparing to flash the stock rom.
What I Have Tried
- Multiple SPFT versions (currently using the lastest, v1824).
- Multiple VCOM, CDC & MTK drivers with uninstalling of drivers before using another one (SPFT recognizes the tablet either as "Serial USB Device" or "MTK USB Device") (also tried W10 drivers found on XDA).
- Installing new drivers while it's trying to get the DA
The tablet itself is NOT BRICKED. It turns on & can boot in recovery or fastboot. It just hangs on the boot logo since no OS installed. I have the Stock ROM with the scatter file, fastboot & adb, etc...
I'm really confused as to why it's not working. I thought it would be because the chipset is not supported by SPFT, but apparently some other users successfully flashed the Stock ROM using it.
Any help would be appreciated, I don't know what to do anymore 3:

After trying, still nothing.
Still getting the same error, and when I try to update from recovery, I get an error (can't install this package over newer build (the build on my tablet is from May 25th, 2017). The one you gave me is the one from the Acer support FTP, but it is from 2016.
Is there any way to completely remove the build from my tablet in order to upgrade from the older one, or to change the build date of the ROM ? I can't seem to find the SD zip file for the May25th update.
Try this one :

Thanks ! This one actually worked. I had to edit updater-script to match the model ref though. Thank you so much for finding this !
FrWhyMe, I have the same problem as you had. A magisk update I should not have done....I've not managed to revert back. The table loops but I can get to recovery or fastboot. Reading back I'm not sure how you managed to fix it. Trying to flash the zip file from the previous link posted, I get the message about not being able to flash over a newer image. I've tried removing the first line of update-script and re-zip but the installation is aborted straight away. Any pointer would be welcome. Thanks.

I tried editing/updating the zip file from within 7zip by removing the line that checks version but the installation aborts without any useful message. It does look like it goes ones step further.....To be honest I've not had time to look further into it, I've not giving up yet .

there is not flashable firmware using SPFT for this tablet (((
they are only 3 stock firmware....and no one works for me.....it is one new: SDs_Acer_AV0M0_A3-A40_RV09RC01_WW_GEN1.zip
but you need to pay if you want to download it.....(
I managed to fix my tablet
The main issue I had was that I thought (after reading some posts) that editing a zip file using 7zip would not break the zip file signature verification but it did...I basically edited the updater-script file of the acer zip file to remove the version check and flash it from twrp to bypass signature verification. Let me explain what I did in more details. Keep in mind that my tablet has an unlocked bootloader and was rooted prior to the issues i had.
First, find out which file you need to download:
1. with the tablet powered off, press the power and volume up button together until the screen shows something then release them
2. you should now see the recovery menu
3. the tablet model should show on the second line - "jetfirefhd" for mine
4. download the right file from the acer website - AV0M0.RV03RC04.WW.GEN1, 1.5GB, 2016/08/15 for mine
Secondly, edit the zip file to avoid the message about not being able to flash over a newer version.
5. i used 7zip to open the downloaded zip file
6. browse to /META-INF/com/google/android
7. drag and drop updater-script onto your desktop
8. open the file with your favorite ext editor
9. delete the first line of the file (ends with ";") - this should remove the version check
10. save the file and then drag and drop it back into 7zip to overwrite the existing file
11. close 7zip and save when asked.
12. copy the file on a sd card for your tablet
Thirdly, lets flash the file from twrp (i used a linux to avoid win10 driver issues etc...) - these are the same steps as rooting once you've unlocked the bootloader. you need to download recovery.img / magisk v13 / no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1. Details here https://www.android-hilfe.de/forum/acer-iconia-tab-a3.1801/root-fuer-a40.797192-page-3.html
13. repeat step #1 to go into recovery
14. select rebooting into bootloader
15. you should now see a fastboot message
16. from your pc/laptop start the command "./fastboot boot recovery.img
17. from twrp, format /data
18. clear cache/dalvik
19. flash your edited zip file
20. flash no-verity-opt-encrypt
21. flash magisk - the tablet would not boot for me unless i flashed this as it was rooted previously
21. reboot.
22. that should be it
I hope it didn't miss anything.
Only niggly issue I've got is that it's telling me there's an update but it cannot apply it as it is rooted. I tried using the uninstall magisk zip but it made no difference. I'm wondering if the bootloader needs relocked. Ideally I'd like to perform the update as it's nearly 300MB. The tablet is running fine though so i'm very happy to have it back
Good luck for anyone still stuck.
