Boot into Recovery Mode.
Make apt backups. (Optional ofcourse)
Wipe System, Data, Cache and ART Cache.
Flash the ROM zip.
Flash the GApps zip.

NON-ROOTED. Why?
Simply because some people want MagiskSU and some want SuperSU while some don't want root at all. [emoji14]

Surnia build is running great for me so far but I flashed the latest Squid kernel over the build before trying it with it's original baked in kernel
Sent from my XT1526 using Tapatalk
Starting with Surnia testing...flashing squid kernel after a few reboots.
Running it for about 24hrs now. Seems pretty solid so far. I did switch kernels after a couple hours the built in kernel was a bit choppy, no random reboots or anything just a bit laggy.
Sent from my XT1526 using Tapatalk
So far this ROM (surnia version) coupled with the latest Squid kernel equals the smoothest most responsive ROM to have been on by phone since stock... Thank you for the great work, keep it up

There is a very big problem when the wi fi signal is low, then reset the phone and it happens very often.
The rest is very good.
Great. A build is finally here. I had been having problems recently with the cm13 and was waiting for a lineage os. But didn't think it'd be this soon.
But before I switch, I just want to confirm, is it stable? Or do you suggest I should wait for a more stable version?
If anyone has tried please comment your views about this rom.
Thank you in advance!

Interesting! Flashing su binaries enabled the option, to enable/disable root privileges under developer settings. I see the root privileges.

I couldn't see the VoLTE feature anywhere... May I know by when we can see the VoLTE enabled in the ROM ?

I think you misunderstood what I said. I was able to enable the root after flashing the su binaries.
But one think I would like to know is as how can we know if Volte is enabled into the ROM without even flashing it. Any suggestions are welcome.
Flashed the su from link.
Saw the root privileges in dev options.
Enabled it.
Opened es file explorer pro. Enabled root explorer.
Asked for root permissions. Gave the permissions.
It says "test failed. It won't work in this device"
What to do ???
What if I flash supersu 2.79 instead of su included in lineage os page ??

Installation
WARNING: These are blind builds. I do not own the device but yes the ROM will be tested by a few people. Bugs are (were) similar to that on stock LineageOS for the device. Testers are always welcome. ( t.me/tywinlannister7). The ROM will be updated whenever I get time and feel that an update is pending for the latest changes/fixes.
Unlock bootloader if not already done.
Flash TWRP Custom Recovery via fastboot.
Boot into Recovery Mode. (Custom Recovery Environment needed)
Make apt backups.
Wipe System, Data, Cache and ART Cache.
Flash the ROM zip.
Flash the GApps zip.
Reboot to System.
NON-ROOTED. Why?
Simply because some people want MagiskSU and some want SuperSU while some don't want root at all.

@tywinlannister7
Finally, a ROM with no root, slim and with OMS. Something which squid2, Subhrajyothi Sen and others couldn't mimic (maybe Slim 7, but the download link is dead) Hats off from me!
Great work! Are you able to auto-build the rom whenever there is a lineagaOS build?

Nope, I haven't set a server yet. Although, you will find the builds in my sourceforge folder. I will create builds whenever there is an update to be looked into and when I get time.

Asking for ETAs isn't good. Please wait for the updates or use another ROM. And follow XDA Rules.
So @Bingo Bronson hates me and takes the chance to blow me every single time. Anyways, I heard Slim7 is back, anybody tried?

[ROM+KERNEL][7.1.2][OPTIMIZED][BLU][SLIM][UPSTREAMED] XenonHD Revolution

XenonHD Revolution ROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and smoothness over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*
*/
XenonHD Revolution is based on XenonHD which is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps).
