No, lol. That aren't apps.
It is a kernel feature from the pixel. The OnePlus 3/t has it in Vertex OS...
EAS = Energy Aware System

Then I think that could be maybe Hardware related. Anyway I'll ask to some my friends
Edit: Yes, It's hardware related. No way it could be implemented for opx (I wrote to Arsenic dev)

Bugs (fixes in process)
Camera FC's
Symptom: Camera FC's when opened
Fix (Step 1): Make sure you are using the gapps linked in the OP. If you are, go to Step 2.
Fix (Step 2): Reboot to recovery, wipe caches, and reboot. If camera still isn't working, go to Step 3.
Fix (Step 3): Clear the Camera app data in LiquidSmooth Settings and reboot.[/fixed]
No data or constant data roaming (VZW users)
Symptom: Self-explanatory.
Fix: Search the thread - we are still trying to figure out what is causing this for some and not others, but until then just look through the thread - several users claim to have fixes for this.

First *lol sorry had to.
But can't wait for the progress of Liquid smooth!
Second!!
Will be downloading and flashing as soon as ROM is available!
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I errored out using twrp 2.8.2. Something to do with the updater script. Is CW recovery required to flash?
Download link leads to folder that says 'Empty'... No ROM there...
I can't seem to find the link. Any help?
Accidentally rm'ed the entire download directory - new build is compiling now and should be ready within the hour.
will this include apps? and what kind of dailer it has?

Yeah exactly...tried to remove that version (built with a borked pre-built chromium) in favor of the new one, and removed everything. However I found a local build that I'll upload now so you don't have to wait until the new build finishes.

i would include Snap Camera from the next build onwards.
I really like RRO based rom actually, but sometimes it gave me bootloop when I accidentally install incompatible layer, nevertheless great job:good:

17092017:
Check POST #429 for updated kernel
Download:VertexOS-Carbide-v3.6-OFFICIAL-20170917-oneplus2.zip
- VertexOS 3.6
- Fixed Blueborne bluetooth issue
“In simple words, BlueBorne is an attack vector that can allow cyber criminals to use Bluetooth connections to silently take control of targeted devices without any action whatsoever on part of the victim. What’s really disconcerting is that for a device to be compromised, it doesn’t have to be paired to the attacker’s device, nor does it even need to be set to ‘discoverable’ mode. As many as eight separate zero-day vulnerabilities (including four critical ones) can be used to hack into most Bluetooth devices in use today, irrespective of the operating system."
So with this update this issue is FIXED
- Few kernel improvements
- Latest CAF merges
- September security patch
- Minor improvements.

- Removed AutoSMP since not much great
- Reverted back to 3.10.105 kernel

Nothing more since this is a quick FIX to solve blue borne bluetooth issue so you guys dont suffer .

FAQs.
1.ROM is based on?
* Roms is Based was AOSP-CAF now its fully rebased to pure CAF with few lineage elements.
2.OTA Support?
* Yes after 2406 builds
3. F2FS-compatible?
- It should work, but I don’t give support for any strange issues caused by it.
4. Changelogs?
- Please check my commits on Github or the changelogs section in Settings->About Phone.
6. Feature requests?
- Please bring feature requests to the VertexOS Slack group. I would appreciate it if you send me commits for genuinely meaningful additions, bug fixes, and optimizations. I prefer features that can be implemented without needing a toggle. Please take note that I don't want to pack this ROM with a ton of features. There are many feature-rich ROMs out there already.
7. Passes SafetyNet?
- Yes. If you want root, use Magisk and enable Magisk Hide. SafetyNet failures may also occur because ADB is enabled.
9. Does VertexOS work with other GApps, TWRPs, firmwares, SU, kernels, tweaks, Viper4Android, etc?
- Please feel free to try, but I may not give support for issues caused.
10. Deep sleep issues?
- Reboot or clean flash.
11. Mobile network issues?
- Toggle airplane mode to see if it fixes the problem. Please check your APN and Preferred Network Type in Mobile Network Settings. If your APN is missing, please share the APN you want me to add.
12. Google Camera / OP3T front camera doesn't work?
- You'll need HAL3 enabled. VertexOS has HAL1 enabled by default. To enable HAL3 please flash the HAL3 Enabler. This may also fix front camera issues for OP3T. Be warned that you will lose OnePlus Camera functionality when you go HAL3.
13. Trustzone or Assert failed error 7?
You're using an incompatible firmware.
14. Why is the security patch in "About phone" outdated?
This ROM tracks CAF, which lags behind AOSP by a bit. However, you shouldn't be worried about this because CAF brings in the latest security commits even when the stated security patch level in "About phone" is outdated. Trust me, I've compared the commits of our CAF tag with the latest AOSP branch commits, and also with the Android Security Bulletin. Please just wait patiently for CAF to update the security patch string. I can easily change it and 'cheat' you guys, but I'm never going to do such a thing. So please be patient and know that your device has the security patches.
15. Creating unofficial builds of VertexOS
I have no qualms with it. If your builds are public, please do the following:
* Share proper links to the sources you used
* Provide clear credits to developer @joshuous
* Do NOT ask for donations
If you want to port and maintain VertexOS for another device in the longer term, send me a PM and we can discuss more.
16. Facing odd drains and issues with apps (message notifications not showing)?
* Stop restoring them with Titanium Backup
* Stop using hacky tweaks
17. Google Play Services drains?
* Clean flash
* Stop restoring everything with Titanium Backup
18. Losing Magisk root?
* Don't enable the BusyBox option
19.Can I dirty flash over previous builds?
* Yes but you may face some issues.
20.Is it Pre-rooted?
* NO.

I love latest changelogs. But I love Citrus as well. However I may switch to your rom today. Tell me, so now there's no pre-installed camera? And also, a build with stock kernel would be great.

LineageOS (Lineage Android Distribution) members or anyone else on this website is not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it! Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software.
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

optional: flash Open GApps ARM
ROM supports update through OTA which is completely fine.
If you want to contact me, head for my telegram.

Quick tutorial on how to send proper logs to help fixing an issue.
If you already enabled Developer options (settings) and have adb tools, start from 5.
Download the SDK Platform-Tools (adb and fastboot) for Windows or for Linux or Mac.
Enter Settings and scroll down to About phone and tap on Build number seven times.
Go back to Settings and switch to System and open Advanced tab.
Click on Developer options, scroll down to Debugging section and there you have Android debugging. Enable it.
Unzip the platform-tools and open CMD or Terminal, navigate there.
Type adb logcat -b all > *name*.log and then upload the log somewhere, preferably some paste sites.

The sources might not always be stable and ready to build.
Also, please don't do any unneeded forks or reuploads/mirrors.

if these things are working, the ROM qualifies to be "stable enough" driver in my opinion.

LineageOS repos with little experimental changes in kernel that may broke the camera actually ?
I have tested your build and I wrote my experience in your thread. (tested is not a good word here)

I don't have got d850 variant, but I will try to do that if someone can help me with testing. I don't want to spread unusable ROMs.
First of all thanks for the work and the rom. After a few minutes of testing (taking into account that it is an alpha version), as errors initially observed in my case: mtp mode does not work (the pc does not recognize the mobile), however it does load connected to the pc. Camera (i use snap camera) not working
GPS working (locates and fixes my location very quickly).
In my modest opinion, very good first approximation to oreo in g3. Waiting for wifi ... Regards
Posting from your ROM..soo yeah its working
Can I flash supersu?
Juste miss some feature (nonworking from op + advanced reboot..,etc)
Great!

For root, I flashed magisk 14 without problem (mr_bump not necessary)
I will test the rom if you can build it. Shouldn't be too difficult, cherry pick some of the D850 parts in the build. I'm by no means a rom developer, so see what you can do bud. Thanks man! Keep me posted or message me when you get it built.

SuperSU should work, but I recommend Magisk.

@HardStyl3r: yes developer options appear and is active when you tap 7 times on build.
flashed magic14 but got into secure mode after reboot (all app are grey and unable to launch, expect native app) i havent use magic14 so i'm pretty sure I've miss something.. (just flashed the .zip in twrp).. i'll try the classic supersu
Battery life seems fine (no battery drain during the night)
@joselap: check/uncheck usb debugging in dev option, a popup should appear to select the transfert mode. (charge and usb transfert working for me, havent use mtp mode. check my third screenshoot)
@Xmaster24: github is updated constantly, I'm sure ZjemCiKolege is a dev who have fix the wifi on the source... wait for the next build

my bad
he posted almost the same time as I did
Every time some dev gets a rom, the first (and not only) post are to ask how, where, when....., instead of bothering to try and, if necessary, report bugs, comment, give ideas (whoever has knowledge)...
I do not think this encourages devs much ...
I include myself (although I try to avoid it) but I think that this thread is "development" ...
My apologies if this is offtopic. Downloading to test and report. Thank you
Is the Hotspot bug still there ? ? Fixed ? ?
