I am starting a bounty for a Camera Mod for the stock camera app of the S8(+) [should be at least for the units with Samsung sensor, also at the moment Exynos only-G950F\G955F, because Snapdragon doesn't even have root].
Requirements for receiving the Bounty: basically what @zeroprobe did with the s7 but for our s8(+). https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/themes/zero-camera-mod-v1-0-increased-bitrates-t3439870
SO:
-Increased Bitrates for ALL Video Modes
-Increased JPG quality for single and burst shots. (to 100%)
-other features are welcomed but not necessary for the bounty.
-multiple flashable Zips with increasing Video Bitrates: 20% increase, 50% increase and 100% (double original bitrate)
OR
-an App (.apk) that lets each user choose exactly what settings you want, like that which zeroprobe did: https://play.google.com/store/apps/....camera_mod_samsung_s7_bitrate_settings&hl=en
NOTE: the developer should own a working s8 or s8+ because developing for a phone one does not have is dangerous.
DEADLINE FOR BOUNTY IS: 22th June (22.06.17) After that I will personally not care for this anymore so my personal donation will expire; if the rest of the donors will still want it then you clear that through PM because this thread will probably be deleted.
UPDATE 5th June : In the last few days, many people have expressed the wish (and contributed to the bounty) to also get the HDR+ mode of Google Pixel on the S8(+)...Personally I am not interested in this feature, so it won't be a requirement for MY donation (and Highspeed's). I will always write next to the donation amount if that specific user wants the HDR+ mode or not. So the Total Donation amount only tells half the truth..Read the Donor List!
For USERS\DONORS:
Please do not PM me for donations- Post in the thread and I will update a couple times a day to make sure your donation is added to the total.
Minimum donation amount per person: 5$\5€
Maximum donation amount per person:100$\100€
For the Bounty-hunter\Developer:
To claim the bounty:
Post photos/screenshots or youtube video with details, and step-by-step instructions.
Wait for validation/confirmation from other users.
Claim your bounty by PM from the donor list below
------------------Donor | Amount------------------
@sensationvsgalaxy | €30 - expired today as said from the beginning in may (also see my post nr.37 from the identical s8 thread for explanation https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72660823&postcount=37 )
@Highspeed123- 10£
@sparex- 10$ (see his post in the identical non-plus S8 thread )

Hello??
is there anyway I can pay xdadevelopers to keep this thread on the first page? this thread is dying before it could even get started..:crying::crying: and compared to other posts this is actually promoting\encouraging\supporting development, not just posting that: I dropped my phone and now it's cracked (big surprise) or what is on my homescreen etc.. such trivial things.
or I'll just have to bump it myself everyday..

thank you! added you to the list!
There are enough smart developers out there, and from what I understand from zeroprobe this is not THAT hard to do..I would do it, but for some reason I can't even recompile an .Apk on my Pc properly (drivers? win10?).
This Mod would be, next to the TWRP recovery, the Stereo Mod, and the remapping of the Bixby button without an App (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/root-remap-bixby-button-o-app-t3601061) the next most USEFUL Mod for our devices (s8 and s8+)..:good::fingers-crossed:

It's also a matter of time..I am sure that eventually, in 1 or 2 years someone will do this mod for free, with no bounty or anything like that, but I am trying to bring this mod to the community(and to me) a lot sooner than that.. Because in 1-2 years the s8 will only be worth less than half it is now, it is unfair that those who bought it now for 900$ should have a phone that is not working at it's full potential for so long.. only getting the most out of it right before they switch to the next generation..

I ported the Zero Camera Mod into the S8+ Camera already whilst working on a port of it for the S7.
Give me a little while to compile up an APK for you all

Give this a try and tell me if it works or not. I've taken these from my S8 ported camera to S7.
Check it out on my thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3616406

Flashable zip?
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk

To be a little bit more clear this is what I done:
- Decompiled the SamsungCamera6 (S7) + SamsungCamera7 (S8+)
- Compared the mods from SamsungCamera6 to the clean decompile for reference
- Added the necessary changes to SamsungCamera7
So in theory it should work.

@djb77 my personal opinion. I think it's better for you to change the settings inside the new S8 app. Than just porting one. Because maybe the names etc is different.

About:
- -O3 Optimized
- Based off of CM
- Themed apps with the idea of beauty and elegance in mind. (WIP)
- ThemeCenter
- CM Performance Control (duh)
- All non-system/Google apps you see (Experience Project, Help Center, Changelog, etc), have been built from scratch by MBQ. Unique, right?
- More, but I don't want to name everything this has. Too excessive.
Why?
Android is cool... right?
Yeah.
It seems like it is the same thing every time. You download a ROM, set it up, blah blah blah.
That gets boring. And boring is bad. It leads to trouble, and trouble is even worse.
We want this ROM to be YOUR ROM. Not some 'ROM' you use. Originality is cool.
MBQ personally created the following apps you will see:
-Experience Project
-HelpCenter
-GAppsCenter
-XPChangelog
and he is currently working on several more. This is MBQ's way of breaking out, and trying something original. Let's hope it'll turn out decent, right?
Your Opinions Matter.

[15\12-2013] - Hi guys. I am very sorry for not building this week, I had to practice for some "mini" exams, and my machine has crashed on me a lot of times. After reinstalling Ubuntu 13.10, I am up and running again. Syncing the repo now

Sounds pretty legit, will have to check it out
**Update**
Running this ROM now! Everything seems to be running smooth.
I like the light theme in Settings, but one thing I noticed is some of the icons are white on white, as well as Superuser Settings. Here are some screen shots so you can see exactly what I'm talking about.

I'd imagine people are gonna want new builds as often as possible. I voted twice a week ☺ but truth is, I'd vote that you build as new features/bug fixes become available and or are implemented ?

That is actually what I meant with "Critical bugfixes"...
My fault, I should have explained it more detailed. Thanks for testing BTW, you flashed it before me! And I built it... xD
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
So, in further testing... Superuser is built in and seems fully functional. I use a USB OTG cable to connect a thumb drive with my tablet as that's where I store my TWRP backups and other files I have saved (ROM's, kernels, etc...). As this tablet doesn't seem to natively support USB OTG, I use StickMount Pro (which requires root) to gain access to my external thumb drive in most ROM's. Unfortunately tho, StickMount didn't seem to like the built in Superuser for whatever reason. As this would be a deal breaker for me, I tried flashing the SuperSU package linked in the OP and after a reboot, to my surprise, StickMount worked!
So, long story short, you may wanna go ahead and flash the SuperSU package linked in the OP, especially if any apps requiring root are giving you a hard time. For me so far, StickMount was the only app. Titanium Backup didn't have any issues or popup any messages like it usually does with built in Superuser.
Anyway, rant off. Just thought I'd post a random occurrence while using this ROM. Beyond that, everything is working great so far and now I'm off to try some different kernels ?

This is a deodexed ROM so I wouldn't expect "Art" to work at this time. Currently Art is only able to work on AOSP based odexed ROM's.
As far as kernels, I'm kinda striking out there too at the moment. I've tried some of faux's kernels but no go so far lol.
**Edit** So in reading thru Glitch's change logs, his next update will include the changes needed for his CM based CAF kernel to work with this ROM. I'm guessing the kernel you flashed was for 4.3 CM based Roms

Being this rom is based on CM, I would venture to guess that it is CodeAurora based which means AOSP kernels will not work.

This is always expected. Sony camera app has different post processing compared to CM camera and google camera. I wouldnt say the quality is bad as the photos is still decent but it struggles during low-light in which this camera is designed for. Mostly my photos taken with CM11 has this pinkish tint.

I wouldnt say the quality is bad as the photos is still decent but it struggles during low-light in which this camera is designed for. Mostly my photos taken with CM11 has this pinkish tint.

Yea that's what I'm afraid of if I go the cm route. If there was a bug free way of keeping Sony stock, but using aosp type quick settings / toggles, I'd be happy. But Sony's quick settings are a step back from stock android. Sony's is very limited and gives less information. Don't know why Sony would take something good and make it worse.

Discontinued. Sorry for the confusion.

Meh, nevermind this project. Sorry for the quick change of mind. Mods feel free to close or remove this thread.

Greetings, I was about to start looking into replacing status bar icons for Google nexus type for my ROM. Have you any plans on incorporating this?

'libcronet.so', 'libgoogle_speech_jni.so' and 'libgoogle_speech_micro_jni.so' are missing from /system/lib64.
You can extract them from the XtreStoLite Aroma Add-on Package (located in /Add-ons/GoogleSearch/system/priv-app/Velvet/lib/arm64). Use a root file browser and put the files back in /system/lib64.
Whoa great!
Have anyone tried on SM-G925F?

Thank you, what about the switch between the back and the front camera? With the previous beta I had to wait 10sec or more every switch using the arnova gcam

If you take a look on the list you will see that both AOSP and pixel port are listed there

Thank you for this ROM. Like a very tiny selection of ROMs I've found this looks Russian. It is the fastest most overall fluid ROM I've ever tried in my MN2.
The only thing that does not work is 'additional buttons' in settings. Everything else is flawless.
I do not speak or read Russian but just followed the steps in the pictures lol.
Will try an send logcat about additional buttons' crash.
Otherwise this ROM is flawless an gets the best out of Mi Note 2 ?
I thank you an HIGHLY recommend this ROM.

Yes, I agree, rom is quite good, for button swap you can try an app called button remapper (free on play store)
