Problem with Android Pay. - Sony Xperia XA Ultra Questions & Answers

Has anyone else have problems using Android Pay? I haven't successfully utilized the app for several weeks. When I use it, it keeps asking for my PIN to unlock, never successfully completed purchase. It's like it is in a PIN loop. Only with several different merchants.
Have had this problem since day one, when I purchased the phone back in February. Help!

Help! phone getting restart..

My phone is getting restart almost once everyday. I gave it at the SE service centre,he installed the android OS once again. But still the same problem. Service centre employee says if it again restarts then he will give it to the company. So now I have 2 options:
1. Give it to the company
2. Wait for the froyo update as the problem might get solved after that.
It would be great if anyone could tell me which option to choose or if anyone could tell me why it is happening.

What i remember is that i never had a restart when running the clean android. sometimes when installed an app. if you have no apps istalled i would go for the return. the froyo is still far from perfect at the moment.
Send to the company

A friend of mine had a phone that rebooted every now and then, he sent it to service centers, you know, the whole chain. After a while he bought a new phone, that also rebooted a few times every day. Then one day he got himself a new SIMcard and the problem was gone. He changed back to his old phone but with the new card. And it worked!
What i am trying to say: try with a different SIM card

Thanks for the help. I want to tell you one more thing. That few days ago my phone was absolutely dead. It was not able to charge. So I gave it to the service centre. They once again installed the android OS. From then only I am facing the problem of rebooting.
So I mean to say that since the phone was running fine before dead with the same SIM so I guess SIM is not a problem. OS must be the problem. So froyo update might solve it.

Z2 problems

My partner has had her z2 for a couple weeks. And she has always had iPhones and me mainly androids. But she has found it hard to use at times. For some reason 3 or 4 times a day over past week it has crashed and not responded. And also turns it's self off. And while in walkman app could not select songs only way I managed to get it to work was uninstall all updates then the songs were clickable. Then upgraded again and it still worked. Any one else had similar problems? Thanks

You shouldn't be having these issues. In my experience the phone is very stable.
The only time it resets on me is when I pull the SIM card. I'm not sure why it does that because it's not necessary.... But anyway
Try doing a factory reset and all that. If there are still issues call Sony support and get the device replaced, or just do a 30 return/exchange.

Yes i had these exact issues with a defective unit, it seems that replacing the device fixed it alltogether
Take note reflashing my firmware didnt fix my problem, if it doesnt fix yours then get a replacement

Galaxy s6 NFC

Hello xda community,
I have a problem with my nfc always scanning for tags, even when turned off. The best would be, if I could get rid of nfc as i don't even use it anyway. My s6 is rooted by the way. The whole situation is, that I'm using a case for my device, which holds my gym member card automatically triggering a sound+msg saying "tag type not supported". I already tried using or finding apps for this and even uninstalling the nfc app, just making the app crash and show error messages(i restored the app after this).

Is there nobody, that has some kind of advice? Am I the only one with that problem?
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA Free mobile app
Sorry, I haven't tried NFC on the S6 yet. From memory, Samsung had their own version of NFC on the S4 that wasn't stock standard. Might be worth checking that out?

I also possess the s4 , but I don't understand your suggestion. Do you want me to use my other phone instead of the s6?
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA Free mobile app
Did you ever sort this out? I have noticed I can get messages for no reason which stopped when I turn NFC off suggesting there's a problem somewhere.
Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk
No sry I didn't. I got used to flip the back cover containing my problem issuing card, to just ignore the problem. Even while I'm calling someone.

HDX 8.9 3rd gen cant get board working, what should i do with it

I have tried(with a LOT of help from everyone here at XDA developers) to get my HDX working again. I have got it as far as TWRP installed but cannot get anything further. In the process i broke the connector for the camera off of the board. I finally got fed up and ordered a new Kindle :/ I just don't know what to do with the old one. I know it still works and someone out there can get it going. I have just had to admit to myself that i do not know what i am doing at this point.
I was going to post it on SWappa but it looks like they only want 'gently used' items. Not ones that technically dont work. Is this a lost cause? Is there anyone out there who would want to get it working again? What are my options?
Thanks,
mhuck0625

Everything works perfectly on it except the operating system. I bricked Mt original board so I bought a new motherboard(and daughter board) and tried rooting and reloading. I've got TWRP on it but can't get any further. None of the ROMS I try work. Unfortunately I no longer have time to mess with it so I figured it's try to sell/trade or see if someone else could fix it fairly cheap. I just don't know where to sell/trade/fix.

Do you know what model you have exactly? I'm using Barclays with no problem so it can work on EMUI. That said, I've found Barclays to be very finnicky in the past on previous phones. One of the reasons I chose to go 'mainstream' and not root with this phone (upgraded from Oneplus One) was so that I could use Barclays - even the tap to pay works, though it doesn't work with Google Pay because Barclays decided to go their own way.
I have a BLA-L09 C782 bought from Carphone Warehouse as an EE Upgrade running firmware 131 (You can find the details from Settings - system - about phone)

I'm on that .. haven't done anything to the phone just stock purchased directly from very ... I wouldn't even know where to root

Yes, that is the latest for the C782.
You could try Barclays, but I'm not sure how helpful they are being. My guess is that it's detecting another app that it thinks means you are rooted - their detection is bordering on obsessive.
Try running a root and safety net checker (like this) and see what it says. The Safetynet tab is probably the more important one - it should say passed on all the items.
If it doesn't, then you've either got a dodgy phone, or maybe Huawei forgot to remove their backdoor before shipping it
otherwise I'd say the best option is to try uninstalling Barclays and reinstalling, or make a back up and reset phone to factory settings.
If all you want is basic features, the mobile barclays page does work quite well - I used that for ages when I had my Oneplus rooted - until I managed to find a way round it - but every time they released an update they seemed to check more thoroughly
