Any list for those are compatible??

We need someone with a Sony device to install the app, and then share the installed files in a zip file with us. This way, we would be able to run the app and connect to a PS4 console. Tried this before and it worked. I will share the files if I manage to find someone with a Sony device.

Do you have root access? If yes, things will be more simple. If your device has root access, then follow these steps:
1. Download Titanium Backup via the Play Store and install it.
2. Install (if you need to) the PS4 remote play app.
3.if you have your PSN account automatically logged in, log out and erase your PSN account info from the log in screen. (Otherwise people will have access to your PSN info). Or re-install the app while deleting your user data to be sure.
4.while the PS4 remote play app is installed and your user data is completely removed, open the Titanium Backup app , and choose the PS4 remote play app to make a backup.
5. Open file manager and get the backup file, I will send you FTP access via a PM to upload the backup file.
This will work as we will only restore a "previously installed backup" of the original APK. This way we will still have access to the full app, and allowing us to connect to a PS4 console.
Let me know if your device is rooted. Otherwise there are other steps we can do.

1. I have Titanium backup.
2. I have the PS4 Remote play app installed.
3. Cant i just Backup the program with Titanium without the data?
It should be the same to just download the Remote play.apk or am i wrong? is there something special with the one i have installed?

Yes, you'll have to backup the app with user settings and system data, so that it can be restored in that state.
Let me know if you need any help.

Is this still happening? Just got my note 8 and would love to play my ps4 on it!

Any updates on getting Remote Play to work on Galaxy S8???

I'll be making a working PS4 remote play version for the S8 and S8+ and will share it there.

Hey are you actually working on this? I'm definitely interested.

There is a way working for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ root versions.
Open the site on your Rooted S8 or S8+ the following link:
https://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/ and enter the following link there:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.playstation.remoteplay
Download the APK but don't attempt to install yet.
When the download is completed ooen this link:
http://codekiem.com/2013/02/13/market-helper/
And download Market Helper.
Install the App and open it.
Choose device > Phone and then next to it a Sony Experia Ultra and tap activate below and wait.
When done, find thr remote play app you downloaded earlier and install it.
...And tadah! Enjoy playing your PS4 games on the go!
Another method will be shared here later both for root and non root devices!

So how do you get past market helper telling you "user account not found" when you tap the activate button?
Edit: Just needed to grant the permissions...but still a no go as it will not install the app after these steps..still says incompatible.

I couldn't even get it to work with root lol. I think systemless root is needed and we don't have that option with the SD S8+.

Thank you for this but any update on the non-root s8? Thanks again for your time and dedication.

SAGASE!!! Find him!!!
Rekindle the flame within.

Working Remote Play again, i can share what i did.
So, I had a working Remote Play on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F)) but just got bricked.
So i re-flashed it and rooted it with Magiska again.
Here is what i did to make it work again and to unbrick my phone.
1. Flashed these files in Odin v3.12.3:
AP_G955FXXU1AQF7_CL11544126_QB13847503_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5
BL_G955FXXU1AQF7_CL11544126_QB13847503_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CP_G955FXXU1AQF7_CP6678953_CL11544126_QB13847503_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC_VDS_G955FVDS1AQF3_CL11544126_QB13804218_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
HOME_CSC_VDS_G955FVDS1AQF3_CL11544126_QB13804218_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Restarted Phone.
2. Installed this TWRP (S8 PLUS VERSION) by flashing it with Odin v3.12.3:
twrp-3.1.1-1-dream2lte.img.tar
Restarted Phone.
3. Installed this (ROOT) ZIP file by booting in to the new TWRP recovery mode i just installed:
Magisk-v15.0.zip
Restarted Phone.
4. Installed latest Magiska Manager APK from Magiska website.
5. Installed these from Magiska Manager application in Modules in Download section:
Sony Apps Enabler
Sony Framework
Restarted Phone.
6. Downloaded & installed latest Remote Play APK, started Magiska Manager application and entered Magiska Hide and added Remote Play.
Restarted Phone.
7. Started the Remote Play!WORKED!

Coolife is ok, nothing special for me. It supports multi window, but it's really poor- only a few apps like video, messages, notes, browser... and I didn't find option to add other. NFC works well.
To root I used RootGenius (chineese program, i can send link in privat message). Enable USB debugging, run program, follow instructions. Easy as that. I also menaged to install google play but after rebooting the tablet can't see those apps I paid for and I have to reinstall them.
Please do, I appreciate it you can email me at [email protected]

Hi! I would like to tell you about two chinese softwares that can Root most of the chinese device. Try VRoot which can root 90% of chinese android devices. Next one is ERoot, this software also roots alot devices. I wish your phablet gets rooted. Happy Rooting ; )

Thank you will try. I installed all those apks from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547054
Got the Google account working with this, but the play store doesnt want to go online. Only says no connection. But I allowed all permissions with the Coolmanager.
After a reboot it also says that com.google.process.gapps and frameworks stopped.
I will try your apks now
Try and install all. I have had same problem but now play store works very fine

Did you just install those? or also copyied them to system/apps ? For some reason it doesnt want to install Google Contacts Sync apk and Account and Sync Setting apk.
Also Google play just says Server error, but I have Wifi on.
You can install cwm recovery and install an update.zip which is for rooting. if you don't have a cwm you can create one with mtk droid tools this method works 100%.
Just Hit thanks if I had helped you.
Well the device is rooted. I managed to install all apks now. Google account is syncing everything, Contacts, Google photos etc.
The only thing , which isnt yet working is the Google Play store. It is installed and opens, but it says No connection as if something is blocking it from going online.
After a reboot I also get the message com.google.process.gapps has stopped message.
Already tried to reset the app preferences but that didnt help.

Well since you need to install USb drivers on the PC, I write a little instruction.
Drivers are easily installed. All you need is to enable USB debugging.
Settings -> About phone -> tap on the Build number several times to unlock the developer options.
The settings -> Dev options -> tick USB debugging.
Now you can connect the tablet / phablet to the PC. It auto matically install the drivers. If not there is a virtual CD rom drive under Computer -> Coolpad driver
_______
Then you can copy the root files onto your device.
Did it like here: http://bbs.coolpad.com/thread-1920081-1-1.html
Well translated with google translate:
1, the root package into the root directory of the external SD card
2, press the volume key + power button to boot into recovery mode, red exclamation robot interface appears, click the power button to the menu interface
3, click the volume down key to select "applay update from sdcard", click on the volume key to enter
4, click the volume down button to select the root package, click on the volume button to install
5, after the key is complete, click on the volume button "reboot system now" boot

Finally I installed the Google play services like this: http://bbs.coolpad.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1917346&fromuid=3110832

(for me that download host didnt work, but found a different one with baidu. http://dl.dbank.com/c0bjjioeqw )
Many ask about how to use oil, as follows:
1, the attachment downloaded on the phone memory root directory / storage/emulated/0 below (the root directory of phone memory, do not put any folder)
2, into the system settings - About phone - mad click the version number - the phone prompts to enter developer mode after pressing return, and click developer mode
3, into developer mode, down to finally find "GMS package preinstalled" option and click, the system prompts "GMS phone will restart makeup bag", click OK to install
4, after the installation is complete the phone will automatically restart, boot can be seen after the application installation package GMS

Q: Play Store not working on new tablet Teclast x80h

So, I purchased this tablet: Teclast x80h as advertised from manifacturer with dualboot Windows 8.1 and Android 4.4.4.
So far I can say Windows is working fine, haven't found a problem with it.
But When I booted the Android I face a common problem in the Google Play: No connection and the button retry.
I searched google and youtube and tried most of the things people wrote there.
1. checking the auto time/date update
2. the timezone
3. deleting all cache from the app
4. I rooted the device using: Kingroot and iRoot and tried to edit the hosts file. But in it there only was this line: 127.0.0.1 localhost - so I had nothing to change there. Tried to edit it anyway with total comander with granted root priv. - I receive "re-mount error".
5. I also tried to fix the issue with a fix from Frontier given here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...8-air-3g-tablet-9-7-2048x1536-t2913035/page43 , but sadly it didn't solve the issue for me.
Any other insight you can give me is welcome.
Thanks in advance to whoever comes to help.

I have the same problem and have tried all morning to fix it. I have managed to root and have tried following Frontiers instructions but just get the same problem at the end of it.
I also found it impossible to delete Play Store using settings as it is a system app, but managed it using an app called "system app remover". Then replaced it with the apk from Frontier but still no luck!

Have just found this, Maybe we have to wait for an update. But as they come in Chinese am not sure I will recognise it!!
http://bbs.teclast.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=262279&highlight=x80h+play+store
Applied fix:
with root browser:
Edit /system/build.prop to:
ro.product.device=picassowifi
ro.product.local.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
Now Google Play is crashing just before displaying the content ofthe store. Even got it working for few minutes after reinstalling Google Play app and Google Play Services, but after tying to download some app from it it started crashing again. I'm open for suggestions :>
I have those settings in as well, but Play store not working at all. I will try deleting them both and reinstalling

okay, guys, that's how I fixed it:
Fix for Google Playstore on Teclast x80h dualboot
requirements:
For Rooting the tablet:
iRoot
Kingroot
First you run Kingroot - all is in chinese, but it's pretty straight forward deal.
Then you run iRoot and finish the job.
Then you need the following apks:
superSU
root manager
uninstaller (root)
link2SD
google play latest
google play services latest
All this is available on APKmirror.
Copy them somewhere on the tablet (I used the Download folder)
step 1. Install superSU - to be able to grant root privileges to the other apps.
step 2. install root manager
step 3. open it and edit /system/build.prop to:
ro.product.device=picassowifi
ro.product.local.language=en
ro.product.locale.region=US
Then save the changes.
step 4. uninstall the Google Play app that came preinstalled with the tablet. (You can do it with any root uninstaller.)
step 5. install the Google Play apk
step 6. install the Google Play services apk and reboot
step 7. install Link2SD apk and run it. Find the google play app in the list press it and when it opens choose "action" and then make it a system app.
step 8. Reboot the tablet.
Enter the credentials in for your google account and then download any app you want :>
Hope that will help someone. Took me lots of time to figure it out.
Took info from several sources here on XDA and from youtube.
All credit goes to them.
I had done all of the above yesterday and still it didnt work. But today I got a Google Play Services update via Mobo Market and Play Store worked after that!
Got the same tablet and of course play store didn't work. Expected this would require extensive hacks, but apparently there is an update as soon as you connect to internet. Just click update app on the bottom left and then you'll see two buttons (all on Chinese), click the left one and it will download the update for you.

yea, when I received it, that update was downloading a broken zip file and it was giving error. That's why I had to do all that to fix it. Now I'm happy with the tablet.

Go into permissions manager and make sure the play installer has all it's permissions?
I haven't had an issue on ColorOS, but I had that sort of issue on MIUI once and that fixed it.

Thanks but I've tried that. OPPO support say that because it has the Chinese rom, it won't install Goolge services
I have got to find out how the stores do it. Or find an original rom with google alreay in.

Can't install APK files outside of Play Store?

I recently upgraded from an Android 7 phone (Moto G5) to an Android 9 phone (Moto G7). I like to back up all of my apps that I plan on using in the future, using a backup app like ML Manager, and installing them locally with a file browser, like FX. On my new phone, there are some APK backups that I can't install from a file browser; even if I actually download them though the Google Play Store, back them up, uninstall them, and then try to install that backup on the same phone, it won't work. Not every app does this, and at first, I thought it was only paid apps that were giving me problems, so I chalked it up to DRM, but a bunch of free apps won't work, either.
I've tried alternate methods of installation, too, like using a terminal emulator (see the screenshot, using the app Manual Camera as an example), and ADB on a PC, which results in an INSTALL_FAILED_VERIFICATION_FAILURE error. I've searched for this error and followed directions, like disabling Play Protect (which I never enabled on this phone, anyway), but nothing works. Is this just how Android is now? Did something change so that it's harder to install backups? I tried all of this on my wife's phone, too, which also runs Android 9, and I got the same errors. Any help would be appreciated, because I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance!

Some apps are different for noghat and pie Android
So there is no grantee that you can install all APK that you backed up on noghat for pie
Download them from Google
It should completely work
Make sure that you have free space on internal storage and when you wanna download them make sure that download arm/arm64 version

Yeah, downloading from the Play Store definitely works, I'm just curious as to why backing up an app downloaded from the Play Store won't install from the APK *on the exact same device.* I'm a stickler for keeping local backups of everything, but I'm more curious than anything at this point.

Well there is a another reason
That is some app install with APK
And other one install with APKS
which you should install them with SAI and have two or three file to install (even more)
And when you backup from apks apps it doesn't backup all files to install it again
But at play store it install automatically

Holy crap, dude, I had NO idea that split APKs were a thing. I downloaded Split APK Installer from the Play Store, and I can make and restore local backups again. Thank you so much for the info, it was exactly what I needed!

this files use in Settings-Debloat.cmd
com.markus.firetools.apk first Post is newsettingsroot
%push% "com.markus.firetools.apk" /sdcard/NewSettingsRoot.apk

Hi guys , sorry if I'm intruding on your post . I've been using ftvlaunchx app with the command
pm grant de.codefaktor.ftvlaunchx android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
After writing to system settings and selecting ATV launcher pro as default it has been working okay on an unrooted 5.2.7.3 (mediatek patched) 2nd gen tank.
So I guess amazon have started doing updates to the new 5.2.7.4 and killing custom launchers?
I have tried to root this twice now but I have a newer stick that cannot be exploited.
That being said it boots up onto the Amazon crap for a couple of minutes before the write settings permission kicks in ..
Good work guys

@0815hoffi are you around mate?
I flashed your launcher replacement 1.1 onto tank all is good. I noticed you added the apks for Firetv launcher onto /sdcard.
I forgot to install stv player from amazon appstore. If I install the firetv launcher apk and reboot will I have access to the appstore to download stv player and then just reflash your zip in twrp again?
I've tried downloading and sideloadimg the apk but it's not working. And I've tried adding the app to amazon appstore but I'm getting "app not owned message"
Just wondering if its possible to enable ftv launcher to save me from reflashing 5.2.7.2 zip again mate?
Excellent work BTW thanks again

Hi,
i never tried that.
Maybe you can try to Login Amazon Website, search for STV Player and push it to device from there, after thats go to account Settings on FireTV and select sync with Amazon.
STV Player should now be installed ( a long time ago I always did it this way )

Thanks man, did the trick :good:
#Edit# Nah its back to "app not owned" I can't sync cos there's no appstore to sync, I'll just reflash, install all the apps needed from the appstore and then flash your launcher replacement ? just the Mrs and her soaps lol.
Good work hoff thanks again
@0815hoffi I flashed launcher replacement with icons, when I try and access settings>about to enter storage settings for my USB drive (The menu where it shows the update info etc)
The menu only appears for a brief second then disappears before I can do anything.
Any ideas?
Maybe try this Version, its my latest.
Replace the apk in the Flashable ZIP and Flash in twrp.

Hello,
Where is this "flashable.zip"? Are you refering to the download on the OP? Inside the ftvs2k-5.2.7.7.zip there is no .apk.
