Lineage Os 7.1.2 Unable to boot into recovery - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Lg D724, I rooted my phone to install twrp v3.0.3 something. I install twrp to install Lineage OS.
Twrp v3.0.3xxx is supported to OTA update.
But after I updated, I boot it into twrp to install adon su to gain root acess but something strange.
It only shows the logo of twrp and it seems stuck on it.
What do you think is the problem and any idea to fix it?
If ever, I don't what to format userdata or flash the stock ROM back.
I'm new to custom ROM and modding so thanks for the help in advance.
Sorry for bad English.

B371 + TWRP 2.8.7.0 + SuperSU 2.74 -> Bootloop on HONOR logo

Hi all,
Currently I'm on B371
I unlocked my bootloader, flash with TWRP 2.8.7.0 and then try to install SuperSU. After reboot my phone, it goes to permament bootloop.
When I'm in TWRP mode, phone memory is visible by my PC. When it's in bootloop and Honor logo is visible I can install HiSuite on my PC from phone and it's also visible by "adb devices".
What can I do to retrieve my phone?
Thanks for any help.
Flash this, it's the root package from WBT, I've got the same probleme after rooting on B371 and then I flashed this file, it fixed the problem.

Or you can flash your stock recovery.img with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" command in rescue(bootloader) mode. And after that you can install your B371 rom again by 3 button way. If you want to root again, use TWRP 3.0.2 and SuperSU 2.62.
Thanks! I used Nexx_ method. It works. If I can ask, what is WTB?

Going back from OpenKirin RR to EMUI

EDIT: I figured it out myself, for anyone else in the same situation: I downloaded the proper Stock Rom for my phone and just flashed it with fastboot flash, no custom recovery was needed. After that I simply flashed Lineage OS and it's working like a charm.
Hello, I recently switched back to an Android phone that's why I'm a bit rusty. I successfuly installed Resurrection Remix on my Huawei P20 Lite.
After realizing there is no Notch support I decided to go back to stock or switch to Lineage OS.
Now I have two questions:
1) On the OpenKirin page it says you need stock EMUI 8.0 before you apply one of their ROMs. Does this mean if I want to switch to Lineage OS I need to go back to stock EMUI or can I go from RR to Lineage?
2) I downloaded 'Huawei P20 Lite-ANE-LX1 8.0.0.144(C432).zip' from xda which is supposed to be the stock rom. In the instructions on here it says I need to install TWRP. However OpenKirin says their ROMs don't work with TWRP. Can I just flash the stock firmware with adb fastboot, like described in the OpenKirin FAQ?
So my question basically is, what do I have to do to go from RR with stock recovery back to stock EMUI?
im in the same problem.. my fone brick in twrp logo.... i dont know how pass this logo
You can use eRecovery to download the entire ROM, you need the stock recovery and flash it with fastboot (fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery_ramdisk.img) then go to the recovery mode and download the rom using WiFi and that's all, as advice I recomend you always make a system backup in the sdcard using TWRP. Sorry for my bad english. You can dowload the recovery here

Can't get into TWRP BOOT?

Greetings:
I believe I'm having troubles getting into TWRP. I used to have MIUI 10.0.6 in an Unlocked and Rooted device with TWRP installed. Everytime I pressed VolUp+Power, I got into the TWRP. But, after MIUI 10.1.3 installed by itself, I can't get into TWRP and instead, get into MI-RECOVERY 3.0
Did the new update "roll backed" my TWRP recovery and instead installed the MI-RECOVERY 3.0? Do I have to install TWRP again? Help pls!
Seriously, MIUI is the biggest piece of **** ever...no wonder everyone suggest flashing a custom rom...

This is nothing new or exclusive to Mi. The original stock ROM will always replace the custom recovery. So you have to flash it again.
In future, after the update, don't boot into system. Boot into recovery and you should boot into TWRP. If not, flash TWRP again. Sometimes even that is not sufficient and you will have to flash Magisk also after flashing TWRP. And then boot into system.

Hello,
I tried rooting on my H850 with stock roms since Oreo but I had no luck so far:
- with TRWP when installing the lastest SuperSU, it complains that disks are encrypted, no way to clear Davik cache
-After installing the lastest superSU, boot hangs on LG logo
So I restored the device with the stock rom + twrp, after whiping all my disks. Then I can install Stock + SuperSU, but when it starts it complains about missing encryption. When it reboots device is encrypted again and I cannot reinstall super SU because the above mentioned problem.
How can I work around this issue?
I now installed a custom Lineage based rom, but I rather use the stock rom with root.
Sorry about that i forget to tell this but you can't use Super SU on oreo. You must use magisk instead and i prefer 19.0 beta version. After you flash twrp boot directly into recovery and install this https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt to stick with TWRP. After that reboot system install Magisk manager download magisk.zip from manager and install it from recovery.
I use SuperSu 2.82 SR5 on Oreo and it works like it should.

Lineage os Updates

Dear XDA,
I am a happy owner of a Pocophone F1, but I have a problem. I run Lineage os, TWRP and Magisk and every time I update Lineage os I need to reinstall TWRP and Magisk (and the Magisk modules)
Is there a way that Lineage os updates not replaces my recovery and Magisk?
Thanks in advance.

P.s. sorry for my English.

This reply is not specific to LOS. It is a general one. Since I don't run LOS in the F1, I am not very sure that this will work.
Don't boot into system immediately after updating. Instead reboot into recovery. You should boot into TWRP. From there, boot into system. You should be ok.
I don't have problems with updates. I'm flashing new zip and opengapps from twrp without wiping anything. Magisk reinstalls automatically.
