I installed open gapps pico and everything worked fine
Rom Running really smooth, I'm really enjoying it.
I want to share some advices:
1) The ROM has backlight hardware buttons bug: just disable and re-enable hardware keys in ROM Control;
2) For rootyou can simply flash the Magisk zip and install the apk;
3) ViperFX working awesomely, just download DivineBeats from this topic.
I hope the developer to keep working, I love this rom

No ROM requires root to be flashed. You just need a working custom recovery installed to flash any ROM.
Ok this Rom is really great. What is it based on Aosp or lineage os? Tested every other ROM. I mean it, every other. But after using for a week ...I must say this is best one.

how can i fix the gps it takes me to japan ._.
finger print scanner issue
Fingerprint scanner has been always an issue for max 2 but they have resolved by second update. I am facing finger print scanner not working smoothly in this rom...other is working smoothly battery life is bit low though..
Is it just me or the capacitive buttons don't light up with this ROM?

hi, i installed the rom and i dont see the Google play app to install the other apps... like titanium backup. Did i miss something?
I installed Gapps pico and when is cheking info, after a while says, couldnt sign. any thoughts?

INSTALLATION
Root, unlocked bootloader - custom recovery - it should be clear.
KITKAT BOOTSTACK REQUIRED - if you flashed firmware lolipop, don't use this ROM, you will lost sim connetion and data.
-Insert ROM zip and GAPPS to your SDCARD.
-Reboot to recovery.
-Do system backup
-Wipe >> system, data, dalvik cache and cache
-Go to install and install kitkat bootstack ( only if you have firmware lolipop )
-Install ROM and GAPPS
-Reboot
You have to wait a little for phone reboot, so doesn't be so pesimistic!

FM radio not working because builder forgot to download qcom fm hardware repository
Only d620 and overexposed camera is because builder used very very old kernel, device and vendor repository...

To update them need many changes in repos. I think it will be easier to use actual repos by me or @Quarx.
P.S. Does keyboard crash on RR? I remember that it happended often when I's trying RR once.
Is this rom stable for daily use?
I think it is. Only you need to find fix to overexposured camera.
I will no update this rom, i haven't got pc for right now. Anyone who could update, and develop further this ROM is welcome.

I guess that recompiling the Rom with Nikita's device tree will fix the camera issue and will male the Rom suitable for everyday usage.

If you install open gapps oreo aroma installer and you choose to insert the Google Assistant prop file it works. I use it and launches the Assistant without any issues.

Tried to record video with Google camera. Result have some glitchy artifacts, so it's still not good.
btw thread says it's 8.0.0, but ROM is actually 8.1.0

I flashed it yesterday night, together with the 8.1 Gapps provided by GZOSP, the best GAPPS I know for Oreo. Thank you, Hannibal226!
Battery drain is also good for my ancient battery (about 0.5% per hour). Better than any other Oreo I had until now.
Unfortunately I cannot find the Task Manager button that was available on Advanced Options. I used to play with it sometimes.

I had this issue on some nougat roms with opengapps and custom gaps always were a solution. Currently now using this rom with gzosp gapps without any errors

I found a problem: I tried to set a pattern lock and it broke on pattern confirm. Reflashing system did not solve the situation. I like the ROM, so that I will avoid using pattern lock after I flash everything again...

i was using xiaomi redmi note 3 with aosip 8.1 and very pleased with that feature..but since the phone was broken, i move to this phone..but unfortunately on any custom rom based on oreo (RR-O, Lineage, & stock oreo LG rom itself like super rom or official one), there is none working for it, even that working worst than on stock nougat LG rom..also in official oreo it is being removed...idk why...i have tried nano gapps, full, etc, none is working.

Yeah it's available if you flash faceunlock libraries found in some versions of opengapps, or you can get the faceunlock module from magisk which does the same.

I did but still unable to get the faceunlock available. The face unlock itself is unavailable on smartlock option. Could you please verify?

I bet fingerprint would work if one would flash from a 7.0 nougat ROM. @x86cpu had stated it's because of the Oreo bootstack, that breaks the scanner. You'd have to use a 7.0 version.

Digging this ROM using it daily, I hate to be that person but on RiceDroid, you can change the volume style, any chance on that with the next build?

I do not control anything to do with the ROM source, only compiling for P6 series. You would need to contact the crDroid team for feature requests. Hope this helps!

Hmmm. I've seen another person with front facing camera issues on Raven. I am using Gcam from Playstore without issues. Pull a log while trying to use the front facing camera and I'll take a look. Thanks.

I'm turn on zygisk and issue has gone.. not raven, i have oriole
this build unfortunately doesn't involve GAPPS and have to flash them seperately.
The fingerprint sensor does not work on the Oriole Pixel 6. Did I miss something?
edit: and yeah gapps are not present

That happened to me and a few others. You have to install December stock first, then crDroid.
What kind of Gapps to install for this ROM?
And how to hidden title "Welcome to cdDroid" on the Homescreen

Mindthegapps works great on the vanilla build
Unfortunately missing all the pixel exclusives making the device great (screen calling, now playing, etc.), even after installing gapps.
Would love to use this ROM if the features ever gets implemented somehow.

Deleted Google update and reinstalled to try get voice assistant typing back and now Google seems to be having a connection issue
Is it necessary to be on the Dec update before flashing this ROM or can I be on the latest Jan patch also?
P.S I already updated to Jan patch and then flashed this ROM and all seems to be fine. Just curious if I am wrong !!!
