Will it launch with a Qualcomm CPU as opposed to the Mediatek CPU found in the Chinese model?
I am interested in buying this phone when it launches in India and with a Qualcomm CPU.

Xiaomi is only allowed to sell Qualcomm products in India according to a source i found; when i was looking on why Xiaomi was banned from selling MediaTek based products (has to do with patents violations).
I want to know, i have a redmi note 4 mediatek. In india it'll be launched with quallcomm. If in the future there are custom roms for the quallcomm model, can i flash it on the mediatek model? Or will i need different roms? Cause if it ain't the same rom i'm going to sell mine

You can't flash roms that were made for the SD version of the phone on the Mediatek version unless you want to brick your device and currently there is no SD version of this phone anyway.

Xiaomi Note 4 (Snap 625) and Redmi Note 4x (Snap 625) is same phone, codename = mido. Just different baseband (different frequencies, so buy for your region)
Note 4x & note 4 same specs only differs in LTE band. So any ROM for both phone will work sametime.♣

Doesn't matter, the custom roms runs on all the variants you've mentioned, but it's better to get an 4/64gb SD variant, Cuz MOAR storage.
If you're from India then it's redmi note 4, otherwise its 4X.
I am from Singapore. oh I see, as long as its snapdragon 625, the custom kernel /rom support would be good? I was worried that there are many different models like my old Samsung note 4(910g,910f,910w,910wg and etc and etc)

So.. yes you have XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4X, but "x" in some country not exist.
example:
In Poland you can't buy Xiaomi redmi note 4 (mediatek), you can only buy Xiaomi redmi note 4X
and for them XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4X is this same XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 4, because they have only one version.

That's the Global Version of the Redmi Note 4X, which it's the variant with Snapdragon processor. The only difference is the ROM that you're using and has more worldwide bands available.

It's not ROM, it's hardware. ROM's for RN4 Global and RN4x are the same.
Dear All I have a choice between these 2 but have completely no idea whats the difference. They both have Snapdragon 625 and 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM is there any other difference? like camera lens or maybe quality of the RAM?

There is no such phone as Xiaomi Note 4 DS or Xiaomi Note 4 PRO.
There is Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4 Global and Redmi Note 4x.
Variant with Snapdragon 625 SoC = codename Mido, and variant with Mediatek Helio SoC = codename Nikel.
There aren't any big differences between them, what camera sensor, screen and fingerprint manufacturer you get is completely random, homever if you need Band 20 LTE you should buy Redmi Note 4 Global, because Redmi Note 4x is missing this band.
You should buy model with Snapdragon 625 SoC, overall it's far superior. (amazing support on XDA, no overheating, much better battery life compared to Mediatek)

You want the one from first link then, it supports LTE 800MHz which means it's Redmi Note 4 Global, and since you are from Poland you need this LTE band.
