I am not seeing an easy way to use this program. The UI is not self explanatory. I want to map the Bixby button to launch a specific app. How do I do that?
Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

You just have to go to settings and select an action. You can use different action when the phone is locked and when its not locked.
How could i make the UI easier? Always open to suggestions.

Will upload a little new update soon with improved UI

Uploaded bxActions 2.40
You can now take screenshots and launch tasker tasks with the bixby button!
- Added Root screenshot action
- UI reorganized
- Stability improved
- Fixes and optimizations

I still cannot figure out how to do the basics. Please walk us through how to use this to launch any app using the Bixby button. Please show how to do something simple, like launch a game. Thanks.

Preliminary setup:
Open the app and press “continue” on the splash screen.
Then choose the version you want: comfort or performance.
Hit ok on the splash screen AFTER READING IT which opens accessibility which enables you to:
turn on the service by scrolling down, choosing bxactions and the version that corresponds with your earlier option (comfort Vs performance) and turning it on.
Now hit back and you're into bxactions again. Press “ok”
You're now good to go.
Usage:
In bxactions choose “settings”
Here is where I assume people get lost:
Where it says choose actions and Google assistant is selected you have to press on Google assistant, and a popup will bring you a variety of functions to choose instead of that.
“Launch application” enables you to choose any app you want (game, browser, etc)
Good luck

Definitely worth buying the pro version. you get the voice function for google assistant, and a 2nd action for the lock screen. HUGE thanks to the developer!

Is there any integration with tasker?
Force closes when tapping on the shortcut, when I open the app, it says status:inactive. I have already activated it in xposed and did a reboot, module doesnt seem to get activated
Great idea.
It works fine from aplication, but it crash from shortcut on home screen.
Samsung Galaxy S3 international
OMNI Rom 4.4 latest nightly
For the further developement I sugest to implement some kind of automatization. For example I would like to see automatic activation in case of pressing power button (manual sleep).
Tasker integration can be aslo the good idea.

You can use Auto Shortcut Pro to integrate any app with Tasker.
Or at least, any app that offers Launcher type shortcuts, like this one does.

[ROM] [LRX22C] Minimus for Nexus 6 (12-06-14)

This ROM is built from 5.0.0_r7 branch.
I want to bring the stock experience in my ROM. I believe google has done great things to make android better, but at times they always leave things out that would make the os perfect. I try to do that with my ROM. This will not be a ROM that is packed with every single feature out there. This will be a ROM that will include the necessary features to enhance the android experience. This is Minimus. Hope you guys enjoy it
Please note this is in beta. Please report any bugs. Thank you.
Features:
- Built from AOSP
- Expanded power menu
- Many "under the hood" optimizations
- Delete Screenshot
- Clear All recents
- Quick access to Quick Settings
- Navigation bar height
- Battery Percentage
- Latest Google sources
- Disabled forced encryption!
- Double tap to sleep
- And more!
To install:
1) I suggest a clean wipe coming from any 4.4.x or stock ROM.
2) Flash ROM, Gapps, Root (in this order)
3) Set everything up. (Start up might take awhile so give it time)
4) Enjoy

Double tap is enabled by default by the way. It's just not 100% like the app. Sometimes it requires more than two taps
First impressions,
Very nice ROM. Has many of the features that I had apps to do (e.g. Battery %, Double tap to Wake,
Other than that, everything works great. Haven't tested the speakers or sound or video just yet. Using LeanKernel beta2 with this ROM right now.
Edit: removed the points that are clarified

Some observations, you mention double tap is enabled by default. It wasn't, it has to be activated in Settings > Display.
Also in Dev Options > Kill app back button.. when enabled, it doesnt kill the app. I believe this option wasn't in stock dev options.

There's a difference for the double tap in display settings. That's for tap to sleep. Nexus 6 had double tap to wake like the OPO or HTC one, but google disabled it. I'll look into the killing app.
Holding back does kill the app. You just need to hold onto it a little bit longer. I'll shorten it so it makes more sense with the haptic feedback.

Ahh right, its still early for me holding back does kill the app, you're right again on that. I was testing kill Settings.apk instead of another app.
Maybe you could possibly add the option that lets the user change the kill rate to be lessen or greater. I've seen this in previous ROMs as well as possibly add Double tap to wake disable/enable in Display for those who are afraid if their screen turn on since the double tap to wake doesn't check for proximity sensor
Big fan of your work, thanks!

Is there a way for us to turn off that feature permanently (persist through reboot)? I had it on my G2 and it was a terrible feature for me. Causes way too many wakeups in my pocket, leading to locked phone if I have security on lockscreen or doing all kinds of stuff in my pocket if I dont have a password to unlock. Much better to just not use the feature and then I dont get random wakeups.
other than that it looks like almost everything I want in a ROM. The one feature left that I am still looking for is being able to switch around nav buttons, then Im set. I think I can do it by hardcoding the changes I want though so its all good.

Hi all! Let me present my new Xposed module, that combines together all my previous micro modules (such MIUI Brightness Fix, MIUI Separate Volume Control, etc).
Capabilities:
Unlink ringer and notification volumes. Add separated notification volume control in settings and unlink it from ringer volume control. Adds a notification volume slider in sound settings.

Activate it in Xposed Installer
In module UI check needed options
Reboot

This is one of the most useful apps on my Samsung S9+. I'm relieved to know it'll have support for my S10+!

The built in version only allows remapping to open an app. It doesn't for example allow you to change a setting or turn on your flashlight.

Not that I don't appreciate everything you've done for us, but I just wanted to confirm (so I can stop bugging you about this) that we can forget about ever having these features without needing AOD to be activated. Right? At least not without root, which for most of us who are getting the SD version of the S10 will likely never see root. Thanks!

You only need AOD to be enabled if you want to remap the volume buttons when the screen is "off".
Bixby button can be remapped without AOD whithout any problems.

Shoot. That's my champagne problem there. I'd love to be able to change music tracks while the phone is in my pocket but no biggie. Thanks again!
can you put power button action on this useless bixby button ?
if yes than it's super nice to have power button on both sides !!

Hi everyone! With Android 9.0 and latest Bixby button, now you can natively remap Bixby button to do many things, BixBye adds a bit more to these 'many things':
* Launch Google Assistant
* Launch an App
* Power Dialog
* Recents
* Home
* Toggle Flashlight
* Back
* Lock Screen
* Open Notification
* Quick Settings
* Take Screenshot
* Toggle Split Screen
More:
* Nothing - to prevent accidental Key Press.
* Powerful Tasker Plugin - lets you perform any type of complex task using Tasker.
Download from Google Play Store. (Please don't forget to leave a review at Google Play Store!)
As it goes without saying, the App is experimental and is in Beta Stage, things may not work as you expect to. However, your feedback will definitely help me improve the App. I don't own a Galaxy Device, any screenshot/video will be much appreciated.
NOTE 1: You must open and configure/setup Bixby to launch 'BixBye Actions' App upon Bixby key press.
NOTE 2:If you face any issues/warnings with Secure Startup when you enable BixBye's Accessibility Service, please note that it's an Android bug. Just disable Secure Startup temporarily, enable BixBye's Accessibility Service and then finally re-enable Secure Startup for everything to work in harmony.
Tried it. Working fine. Can you remap the double press also?

Unfortunately it's not working for me on the S10+. When I go to choose Bixbye Action pink icon within the open app selection, all i see is 2 grayed out blue BixBye icons.

That would be a workaround quite heavy on the system, for now, will skip such a feature.

Not for me. I'm getting about 7h of SOT on my s10 exynos
Could you add a way to launch a chrome webapp ? Ie I have the facebook webapp as a chrome app on the homescreen, however, I can't find a way to launch that via bixbye.
Does this work with LineageOS, or only with stock?
