Most of the time. You may have to flash a kernel that is specific to your device to avoid losing functionality.

The attached tested procedure may work for your tablet as well...
If worked, then hit my thanks button....
I don't think that is a WoPad i7+ at all. There is a WoPad i7 and a WoPad v7+. Which one is the TS asking about? Personally, I am interested in see more support for WoPad i7 but tablet technology is advancing so fast at the moment such that newer models are coming out at a very fast pace.

Hello friend,
unfortunately your firmware image type is too different from mine.. I cannot open it with usual tools.. I tried anyway
You can find the latest ROM and root instruction at woPad USA's website
woPad V7+ is indeed the most popular tablet from woPad. You can find the ROM and root instruction at the support forum on woPad USA's website.

I would not do it unless you want to brick your phone. The difference is the processor.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1346 go there to find your rom. Good Luck!

there are no roms for you because there are maybe a total of 3 guys on here with a Korean note. All came. posted the same question once. everyone said don't do it. they never posted again.
you are better off swapping it for a i717 or N7000 if you want to mod it. flashing a Rom made for any other device than YOURS is asking for a brick.
when you say useful answers, do you mean until someone tells you what you want to hear?
there are reasons your model number is completely different. its not only cosmetic.
to my knowledge, only one person said he would take a bullet and flash it anyways, and to hell with the consequences. He has not reported back...yet.
I, for one, would not risk a $600 device on a gamble.
What I meant by useful answer is ; a person answering or writing some info who knows this business and can give a detailed answer regarding the flashing . Because a person who works with these kind of devices would know if the device has exactly the same specs or not and if it would be safe to flash by looking at the specs sheet . Or at least he would have an idea about it... Additionally they might have a friend who has done something like this in the past with different devices... I am sure there are a lot more people who has this korean version but they dont feel encouraged to try anything or even open a thread because of the answers like this. I am pretty sure there are Koreans reading these posts too so they might have something to share. All I am trying to say is because this device costs 1200$ in my country I bought it from Korea for 550$ while I had the chance. And just wanted to see if there are solutions for some questions regarding korean version of this model .
But thx for your reply anyways...

[Q] Is CWM phone model specific?

Hey xda community
I want to get an upgrade from my galaxy S i9000.
So I'm thinking of buying a Newman N2 China Phone.
I've found a bunch of really good custom Roms for that phone.
But the only problem is, they require CWM to be flashed.
I can't find a Newman N2 specific CWM package.
So can i flash just any of them?
Please help

[Q] MT6572 Kernel Source leaked by Acer

Excuse me, developers. I recently found the kernel source for MT6572 here : http s://github.com/aniruddha-adhikary/mt6572_kernel. I have 2 questions. 1.)Would I be able to create a kernel for Micromax A77 with this ? It runs on this chipset. If so, how ? 2.)Would I be able to create a custom rom, say, Cyanogenmod with this ? If so, how ? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!
Yes, but it is difficult

Usually, kernels differ from device to device. For example say, this Acer phone the kernel was made for, might just be compatible with your phone... and if that happens. Congo! You have just got your passport to heaven. But, if that is not the case, that is if you phone is incompatible, then you need to do a LOT of hacking to get things working properly.

Well, the basic functionality lies in the mediatek/config and mediatek/custom folders. Take a look at the configs. Compare that to features available to your phone. Use a apps or disassemble your phone to find the model number of sensors and compontents like the LCD and stuff. This will help you to get the configuration right. Getting the configuration right will result in the perfect kernel build.
Thanks
I also use same device micromax a77 find a clonned device named fly iq4404 its touch is not working but it booted without modifications so any one will help me to fix that bug

[Question] What ROMs are compatible with Philips S388?

I'm thinking of purchasing a Philips S388, but I realized that there aren't many custom ROMs for the phone. I was wondering if any ROMs are compatible with it. If not, will there ever be custom ROM support for the device?
No. There aren't any. Only way there will be is if you go and make one. Roms are made by people that have the device and after looking there is no kernel source for the device and without it there is not much that can be done.

AFAIK this device has a MT6582 SoC. And I know that porting between 2 same mediatek devices is very easy. So search on Google for such a device with same SoC and port its ROMs. Here is a simple guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701283
If you have any question, comment below! :highfive:
