[Bootanimation] Google Pixel Bootanimation Resized for HP Touchpad - TouchPad Themes and Apps

HP TOUCHPAD
Google Pixel Bootanimation
ABOUT
I optimized the Google Pixel bootanimation for the HP Touchpad by adjusting the canvas size of each image, deleting half the image files to improve the FPS, and re-zipping with Compression Level set to "Store." The result is a smooth animation that fits the height and width of the tablet's screen. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Enjoy!

Download (Black) If anyone has a good way of converting the white version to black, please let me know or feel free to do it yourself. I have tried inverting the colors followed by adjusting the hue, but given the saturation of Google's green color, it always ends up too bright in the black version. The colors also have a worn look to them after doing this as a batch operation in Gimp.
HOW TO INSTALL
You need root access. A lot of the ROMs have this capability either already enabled or available in their toolbox in settings. If you are using the recent Android Nougat 7.1.2 Evervolv ROM, then you will need to download the SuperSU 2.46 zip file and flash that from your TWRP recovery (go to "Install" and select the zip file once it's on your Touchpad). From here, you can reboot and allow SuperSU to enable root access as a super user.
1. Change your USB connection to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol). You should be able to do this from the notification when your USB cable is plugged in. Otherwise, you can tap "About>Build Number" 7 times to unlock the Developer Options and you can find this option there.
2. Now, your HP Touchpad is recognized by your PC, so copy the bootanimation.zip onto your device somewhere in the Internal Storage.
3. With your favorite file explorer (I am using Solid Explorer which offers a free trial), cut/copy bootanimation.zip into the "root>system>media" directory and paste it there (overwriting the current bootanimation).
4. Done!

[THEME] PuRe

Most know this theme either from the Alpha release that we put out last month or from following on twitter about its progress. We have decided to finally release our initial build to the public and just improve and add from there. I guess we decided it was time to actually release something rather then just showing screens and putting out a build that was no where near complete. So here we are and this is the initial release of PuRe. I hope everyone enjoys it and offers feedback. We already have some new apps we are working on themeing and some improvements we plan on making to the theme overall.
The premise behind this theme is to create a white simplistic theme with slight color hints throughout. I can’t leave out that perhaps some things might have a slight edge to them. Also, we are trying to completely create a custom framework experience, along with doing the same to each apk
The majority of the image work is done by @gbianchi .. while I provided the majority of the xml edits.

[APK] Android 4.2 Desk Clock

Those having a device or using an Android 4.1 AOSP ROM such as CM10 or AOKP (or similar) on their Android device can try the new clock app out. There are two methods, one that requires you to have root access and one that involves using ClockworkMod recovery (or TWRP) to install the app.
Download the clock file (DeskClock.apk) using the link below. Then, copy the file to the /system/app folder on your device using a root explorer like ES File Explorer or similar. Then, set the permissions of the DeskClock.apk file to RW- R– R–. However, before you copy over the APK, make sure to rename the original DeskClockGoogle.apk file (and also DeskClockGoogle.odex if the file is present) to something else to back it up, which you can then restore if needed by simply deleting the new file and renaming the old one again. Reboot your device to be able to use the new clock.

Method II: Using ClockworkMod recovery
Download the CWM flashable zip file from the link given below. Then put it on your device, reboot into ClockworkMod recovery, and install the zip file. Reboot the phone after that, after which you can use the new clock app. Before you flash the new clock, it is recommended that you back up just the original clock (DeskClockGoogle.apk in /system/app) OR to be on the safer side, perform a full backup of the installed ROM in CWM recovery.

Note: There is a possibility that after using the timer, the clock will force close whenever you try to set an alarm or even otherwise. If that happens, go into Settings » Apps, swipe left to the All tab, click on Clock in the list, then clear its data by pressing the Clear data button. After that you will be able to set alarms in the clock app.

[APP] Stock Android ICS Live Wallpapers

Have you been running a custom rom and seem to be missing the old live wallpapers? If yes then I have the solution to your problems! I have extracted the unmodified APKs from the stock rom and uploaded them to my Drive. It should work on any Android version equal or above ICS.

Installation Instructions:
1) Click the link above
2) Download the selected file/s
3) Install as a system app or user app
4) Select live wallpaper
5) Hit the hay
I will also be taking requests for different custom roms. I will upload tomorrow wallpapers from Android 4.0.4 from our device. Though all may not be included, you can ensure that the files are safe and not malware.
EDIT: Wrong forum. Mods, can you please move the topic to Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps
How do I install this app as a system app?
Method 1
1) Download and install a file manager that can ask for root access
2) Rename the file according to the selection below
a) Holo Spiral = com.android.wallpaper.holospiral-1.apk
b) Aurora2 = com.hu1.wallpaper.aurora2WXGATAB-1.apk
c) Blue Sea = com.hu1.wallpaper.bluesea-1.apk
3) Copy/move the following files to /system/app
4) Set permission to r-w-rr
Method 2
1) Make sure you have the app/s installed
2) Install Titanium Backup and Titanium Backup Pro
3) Select the selected app and long press (maybe?) and select convert to system app
I've really missed that blue bubbles wallpaper. I like the old look better than the new one that's on my sister's note 2. The I9000 froyo stock apk doesn't work very well. Thank you for posting.
Forgot that I've posted this thread and also forgot to ask the mods to move it. Anyways, I'll be adding some Android KitKat wallpapers from several ROMs in and out of our device.

*Edit* to help you edit other animations
To rotate and fill entire screen:
All you have to do is unzip an animation and rotate(No need to resize) the images, I used irfanview and its batch operation. To get it to fit your screen you need to edit the desc.txt to match your screen resolution. Mine is 1920x1200 so the desc.txt looks like this:
1200 1920 24
P 1 0 part0
P 0 0 part1
The resolution is backwards, notice? I had to do it this way
When all done editing use WinRaR or equivalent to create the zip archive, you MUST insure that when creating your bootanimation.zip that you use NO compression, set this value to STORE and you should be good to go.
*Audio Edit*
Our vk810 G Pads have boot audio enabled but no file present I used https://db.tt/J8ITrMs4 (remove the .txt) and copied it to /system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg it played fine. If it doesn't work on yours, open system/bin/bootanimation with a text viewer and read through it carefully for hints to file placement/naming for your devices boot audio, IF it's even enabled.
Helpful tools I used
WinRaR: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm Archiving tool
Irfanview: http://www.irfanview.com Image editing
VirtualDub: http://www.virtualdub.org/download.html video to frames
Bulk Rename Utility:http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Main_Intro.php BE CAREFUL the options are tricky, it's wise to have a backup of anything you use this on until you are comfortable with its functions. That said, it's an amazingly powerful tool.
Updates
Working on an audio clips now.......
And an Android boot animation....***DONE, SEE 1ST POST***
