Unlocked frp on s7 edge sm-g935a and flashed t mobile stock 7.0 rom. Sim unlock help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

New to android rooting/developing. Ihave searched countless hours looking for help with the issue im having. Whicj brings me here to seek help.
I bought a s7 on AT&T network. It was google FRP locked. After a few hours of getting through it with help from online tutorial, I realised it was locked when I put my tmobile sim into it.
Since I wanted volte and mms to work,(as it does not on my current verizon unlocked s7e) I used odin to flash the latest t mobile version on 7.0 on the g935. All went well but there one issue.
After tmobile ota updates that ran after I put my t mobile sim in it still won't work. Guessing the sim is still locked. But I do not get the device unlock pop up like I did before the odin firmware flash. Tmobile device unlock is not working, some error server etc.
How do I unlock this phone so I can pop my tmobile sim in and get the phone I've been working for... Lol. Thanks in advance. You guys are so helpful with all this.

[Q] How to Force Sim Unlock Prompt

Hi there,
I rooted my phone. I've installed Cyanogenmod 7 and enjoyed it. However, it is SIM locked. I purchased an unlock code... but now I can't enter it.
This person had the same problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313393
Cyanogenmod does not prompt to unlock even with a foreign SIM card.
The solution was to revert to a stock firmware. Which is great... except for the fact that my phone's model number is:
i5500m.
It's the dreaded Canadian version. I can't find firmware for it anywhere. I've tried Check FUS:
Product Code: GT-I5500YKMVMC
No firmware info retrieved for given data.
Generally it seems like I only have two solutions... and one failure.
The first solution is to find a stock firmware for this phone. Or receive a backup from someone who has the stock firmware with Clockworkmod.
The second solution is to enter the unlock code without the prompt. Is there a way, an app, or a hack to do something like this?
My failure is to accept that there's no reverting. But I don't really want to do that.
Oh, and thank you for welcoming me into your forums. XDA Developers is a really amazing site. I've thanked it plenty of times for saving my ass.
Thanks for your time,

Look closely at the latest changelog and notice that point 12 states -
"Network: SIM lock messages will no longer be ignored. This may help people who have problems using SIM cards that require a PIN unlock."
Good luck

Thank you so much! I missed that update by only two days. I'm sure this will help many people.
I'll edit this post with my results once completed.
Thanks again!

Results:
So I updated the ROM. I did not do a data-wipe. I inserted a foreign SIM card. It says it's connected but I'm not getting any service... I don't believe it's unlocked, as I haven't entered a code yet.
Perhaps I should do a data-wipe and retry. I'll repost afterward.

Potential Final Update:
Odd! I inserted a Rogers SIM card into my phone running CyanogenMod and although no unlock code appeared... it worked. Also known as: my phone is unlocked.
Some interesting thoughts concerning this:
My phone model is i5500m. It comes locked to Bell or Virgin Mobile in Canada.
Upon trying the bml5 unlock method, my code came up as "01234567." Others experiencing this problem concluded that the phone was hard locked.
However, it would appear that flashing this ROM effectively removed the SIM lock. That means that originally, the SIM lock was a part of the firmware. That is slightly scary. I wish I would have come to this conclusion earlier, however, as I paid a premium of $40 dollars to unlock it (at least I supported a local business.)
So: for i5500m or Canadian Samsung Galaxy 5 users to unlock their phones, they must simply root and flash a custom ROM. Originally mine was from Bell, and it has worked with a Rogers SIM card. I'll possibly update this tomorrow when I try the phone with a Koodo SIM.
Hope this helps someone out there.

Sacrosaint,
I have an unlocked GT-I5503YKAINU running baseband I5500LUYJP2 and ROM CyanogenMod-7.2.0-RC0-galaxy5-v1.9. I inserted a Virgin Mobile Canada SIM card and do not get Service. With a Rogers SIM card, I do get Service. I spoke to people at Virgin and they said it's because my phone doesn't support HSPA+. The reason it works with Rogers is because it supports GSM.
I'm wonder if there's a way to install the baseband firmware from GT-I5500YKMVMC and still use CyanogenMod-7.2.0-RC0-galaxy5-v1.9?

What the representative said was true.
Virgin is both HSPA+ and CDMA. The Galaxy 5 IS a GSM phone. Its radio will not work with other frequencies.
You will want to go with Bell, Rogers, Telus, Fido, or Koodo, the GSM suppliers, my friend.

[QUESTION!] Do I have to reflash a stock ROM to enable to the network unlock?

I recently purchased a Galaxy S3 locked to the Orange UK network. First thing I did was root it install Foxhound ROM, making it my daily driver. Looked around for unlock codes on the internet until I finally got one that's confirmed working. However when you have to input the number to access network unlock (#7465625*638*#) it doesn't work, and doesn't register there's any kind of SIM in my handset at all. Do I have to reflash a stock ROM to get it to do that?
Many Thanks, Ash

[Q] Can't seem to fully reflash SG Note 2 with stock ROM. Help please!

Hi, and firstly, thanks to any and all who offer their knowledge to assist my conundrum.
I recently purchased a Bell Canada version of the SG Note 2 (i317), I am on Telus so I attempted to Unlock the phone. I looked online and found people were having success unlocking these phones for free using the *#197327640# method, (whereby you go into the service mode, turn off the PERSHO_256 and then INITIALLIZ).
I tried this method and the phone then seemed to work with my telus sim, but only for voice, not data. When I put in a Bell SIM from a friend, both voice and data worked fine - which tells me its not a hardware (radio) issue. I also tried using another friends Telus SIM and had the same results as mine - which tells me it's not a SIM error. Also, all the settings in the mobile network area appeared to be correctly set up.
So, my next step was to try and reflash the phone to the stock Bell ROM and then just buy an Unlock code. I downloaded the stock ROM (2 different ones actually) and used Odin 3.07 to reload the ROM. I've tried it several times now, with both Bell ROMs and each time it says it's been successful, but the phone remains in the same, partially unlocked state.
It seems as though by using the PERSHO_256 method I have permanently, PARTIALLY unlocked the phone. I can't seem to re-lock it by installing the stock Bell ROM, and since it's unlocked, I can't get the foreign SIM error to come up to enable me to put in my purchased unlock code.
If anyone has any insights, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

You should ask questions about a specific device in its own Q&A. (unless it doesn't have one). Cuz people there have the same phone and will know exactly what to do.

Will do, thanks for the tip!

Network unlocked my phone a year ago - now it seems to be network locked again. Help?

Hi, about a year ago I got a G925T and unlocked it to use on ATT network. Now, I've been gone the last 5 months or so and since the second or third day coming back my phone messed up and developed the FRP issue. I got that sorted out and have since used odin to load 6.0.1 and then installed TWRP, root, new kernel and rom.
But even after all this, I still have the network lock issue. IT says to me that network locked sim card is inserted. Is it possible that the issue is with the sim card not the phone? What could possibly cause the phone to re-lock itself? Any thoughts/suggestions?
Edit: Looked up the IMEI and it is clean, was when I bought it and seems to still be now so I don't think that is the issue.

Question Verizon A02S unlocked but not able to use on other networks. Need help unlocking

Hi,
So this device I bought from facebook marketplace and was told it's fully unlocked.
After inserting a different SIM, the device works for a minute, then shows an error saying it's not a verizon SIM and disconnects from the network.
I contacted Verizon and they're telling me that it's unlocked but I guess something in the firmware that prevents me from using the phone. I did a factory reset, now the phone setup won't finish without a Verizon SIM card. it stays stuck on that screen.
Is there a custom firmware that I flush this phone with and be able to use the phone?
Please advise.
Thanks.
Verizon A02S unlocked but not able to use on other networks. Need help unlocking
Hi you have to remove headwind mdm thanks
I have the same situation. Bought a Samsung A02S and it's from Verizon and was factory reset.
It boots to "HELLO" screen but won't let me initialize the phone without a valid Verizon SIM. I put an old Verizon SIM and it says "invalid".
How can I boot this thing to get to settings etc. to unlock it from Verizon?
