Hi, I am using redmi note 3 SD. Unfortunately I can't use 4g+, I am sure that I am able to use 4g+ but looks like Xiaomi limits it!
Is there any way to get Carrier Aggression?
Is 4g+ able in another ROM? for example lineage OS?

Redmi Note 4x and Redmi Note 4 (SD) Indian Variant both Share Same Device Codename (Mido), Same SoC and same Kernel Source. But Indian Redmi Note 4 (SD), Don't support LTE bands that is being Supported by Redmi Note 4x(Global).
So, thing is, Can We flash Redmi Note 4x Baseband Firmware for Support of All LTE bands, as I don't think, XIAOMI will give update for 2100mhz Band LTE Support in Indian Redmi Note 4 (SD) one, so We are left with own Testing and modding.
I want someone to shed some light over this, is it possible and if someone Can Guide, or test.?

Hey guys, i have a redmi note 5. That i bought in france from fnac (the biggest electrical retailer here)
I should have lte 4g+ with my sim, i have tested on a friends phone, but i only get 4g on my phone.
I have been trying to look up what to do to fix this problem but i'm lost (not great with phones)
From what i have read it is to do with the bands that are active in different countries.....

From what i know he Redmi 5 plus (Vince) doenst have the band 20 and 28 needed to 4g+.
Only the Note 5 Pro. (Whyred)
I recently picked up a new Redmi Note 9 Pro and use it with T-Mobile in the USA. I have enabled the option for VoLTE and Wifi Calling as I have with all my other Xoaomi phones...however, this phone will not connect to VoLTE.
Is this something that can be pushed out as a software update? It has identical bands as several of my other Xoaomi devices, and they connect to VoLTE just fine.

So, curtana does not support 4G+ for a wide variety of networks, but Joyeuse supports 4G+ due to it's CA combination as seen from cacombos.com
I've looked at both phones closely and the only difference is camera. Same chipset and all.

Of course this was with a modified modem file for the specific device.
I was thinking, isn't there anyway we could get the modem files of Joyeuse that supports 4G+ and flash it on curtana since they use the same Snapdragon X15 modem?
I'm sure only the CA configuration were changed.
I'm not a dev, but this is my hypothesis.
I would appreciate if any one who has more insight on this can share his or her opinion.

I can't help with any insight on this, but just to let you know I have 4G+ working with EE in the UK with my 9S Curtana. It worked straight out of the box without having to change or modify anything.
When I am in a 4G+ area it will show on the top status bar.

Thanks for your feedback. I made some extra research and my Curtana does not have my carriers CA Combinations.
Right now I am downloading stock ROM so I'd try the guide if it'll do any good.
Anyone got anything?
I have curtana (EEA) and 4g+. No issues so far.
The difference is, no 4g+ (or lte+) icon just 4g.
Hi all, sorry if its not relevant to post here but i need help. I am using poco m4 pro 4G (g96) version which is 4G+ supported phone but it doesn't show 4g+ when mobile data turned on. While my 3 years old redmi note 8 pro showing 4g+ in exact same place exact same network sim card etc. I have tried messing with Apns and engineering mode settings but everything seems fine. Any idea what's going on?

Probably because
1. Both phones support different 4g+ bands, and your carrier might not support the bands which is compatible with the Poco M4 Pro.
2. Xiaomi probably forgot your carrier exists and maybe the phone's firmware lacks the necessary configurations required to support 4g+ with your carrier.
Hi. Happens the same to me.
Moto g52 uses 4g+ meanwhile poco m4 pro 4g doesn't. Same operator(ho mobile, Italian virtual of Vodafone) , some place. Nothing we can do but changing phone. By the way even without 4g+ it works fine so we have to live with that since there is no way to enable it.
