Artwork by the artist Hampus Olsson.
An introduction to our Nougat sauce...
We're really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavor of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features and improvements.
First and foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On the first launch, you'll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who's teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don't know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands for itself and we're glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
The magic of the moment!
Immersive Mode: One of our main approaches on Paranoid Android was always the ability to set aside anything not needed and push the borders of your user experience to the top, literally. With Immersive Mode, this is no different but a rule. It allows you to have a clean workspace to focus your production on what really matters by hiding the navigation bar and status bar by default - being Fully Immersive - as well as it also allows you to hide both elements separately.
Pie: We've been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we're really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google's Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine: We're proud to announce our newest feature, the ambitious Color Engine. It allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Grey, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really simple and quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock: This new feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI in case of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors. [7.2.0+]
Accidental Touch: Another brilliant feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behavior while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display. [7.2.0+]

A paranoid kick off to the LeEco Le Pro3...
This new device has been integrated into the Paranoid Android ecosystem after almost two months of heavy testing and stressing to ensure we deliver the most out of it for our users.
The first RELEASE available for it was 7.2.0 in 07/10, our biggest release on the nougat-mr2 branch. I should also mention that some of my builds are shared, they are DEV builds and are not compatible with RELEASE builds whatsoever.
I want developer builds right now, where to get it?
I must say that those builds are not endorsed and that I supply most of the new changes using my Paranoid Patcher but for the deepest changes, you ought to use those DEV builds when available.
Back up the RELEASE version on TWRP and switch to my DEV builds with a clean flash, when a new RELEASE is out, just restore your backup and update via the OTA system or manually.
If the DEV build is older than RELEASE there's nothing to be tested publicly at this time, just stick with RELEASE in those conditions.
You can download DEV builds at my AFH page.
Beware of dragons!
How to install this awesomeness?
There are two types of installation to choose from: System Cleaning and Complete Cleaning for the first install of Paranoid Android.
System Cleaning:
~> Back up all your needed data before going any further, just in case.
~> Reboot to TWRP recovery.
~> Copy the ROM and Gapps to the internal /sdcard folder.
~> Go to "Wipe" and then to "Advanced Wipe".
~> Mark "Dalvik / ART Cache", "System", "Data" and "Cache".
~> "Swipe to Wipe" and proceed back the main menu.
~> Go to "Install".
~> Select the ROM zip file and then press "Add more Zips" and select the Gapps zip file.
~> "Swipe to confirm Flash" and wait for some time.
~> After the flashing is finished, just reboot to system.
Complete Cleaning:
~> Back up all your needed data before going any further, just in case.
~> Reboot to TWRP recovery.
~> Go to "Wipe" and then to "Advanced Wipe".
~> Mark "Dalvik / ART Cache", "System", "Data", "Internal Storage" and "Cache".
~> "Swipe to Wipe" and proceed back the main menu. THIS WILL COMPLETELY WIPE YOUR PHONE!
~> Go to "Reboot" and press "Recovery".
----------> Hold Vol+ right after the screen turns black until you see the RECOVERY boot logo.
----------> This is needed on some phones because they don't boot to recovery if the system partition is empty.
~> Copy the ROM and Gapps to the internal /sdcard folder.
----------> You can use adb commands in this step as well:
----------> adb shell mkdir /sdcard/PA;
----------> adb push pa_zl1-7.2.1-RELEASE-20170718-signed.zip /sdcard/PA;
----------> Don't forget the ";" at the end of previous commands, the shell needs them.
~> Go to "Install".
~> Select the ROM zip file and then press "Add more Zips" and select the Gapps zip file.
~> "Swipe to confirm Flash" and wait for some time.
~> After the flashing is finished, just reboot to system.
What's under the hood?
Generally speaking this ROM is the fastest one and one that stands for itself on every detail due to small but perfectionist group of developers actively working on it in every possible manner, from back-end performance to front-end UX specialists.
Kernel:
~> Lightweight Minimal Tree (Pro3 Only)
~> Native LA.UM (Nougat) APIs
~> Always Latest QCOM Tag
~> Transparent Hugepages (THP)
~> Power Efficient Workqueue
~> Enhanced Interactive CPU Governor
~> SdcardFS Filesystem
~> F2FS Filesystem
~> Pstore Functionality
~> Per-UID Statistics (CPU Time/IO)
~> Green Boot State (SafetyNet)
~> 60% Button Vibration
~> Strong Stackprotector
~> Forward Port OEM Charger Bits
~> Always Latest Wi-Fi Driver
~> Patched LA.UM (Nougat) Camera Driver
~> Security Oriented Configuration
~> Reduced Memory Leaks
~> Optimized for Stability and Speed (-O2)
~> Quicker Panel Wake Up
~> Synchronized RGB LED Blinking
~> Suspend-to-Idle Mechanism
~> Real Time Priority for RCU Boosting
~> Latest Binder Communication Driver

Flashable revision patches, we've got them all...
As we don't release often I decided to implement a way to update your RELEASE on demand with the latest development fixes for testing before the next release gets scheduled.
Those patches are separated in revisions, every revision contains new changes for testing as explained - per revision - below.
rev1.0 [Only < 7.2.0]
GERRIT
~> Changed the audio configuration to support speaker phone on both speakers (stereo).
~> Adjust some ACDB IDs for CDLA headphones usage on more audio usecases, please test.
~> Reduced bottom firing speaker volume.
Warning: To apply them, just flash them in recovery after the ROM, make sure you don't flash them on builds that are greater (>) than the target one.

any prints pls?

Get from the second (backend server): http://downloads.hostingsharedbox.com/robbyf/public/zl1
The load is huge at the moment, probably because of Oneplus One and X having many users poking up at the server to download the ROM.

Weird, what version? I'm on v12 on my previous backup and it works just fine.
On this release it works nicely as well, didn't test magisk on it though.
Only a dmesg and logcat are going to help.

before install , can u tell me bugs , add feature ?

Latest stable firmware from LeEco, for X727 just don't flash the radio files and you'll be fine.
This is to ensure people will not be using an older one or unstable ones, if the one you're using is fine there's no need to change.

So far so good. Can't test headphones until tomorrow at work. Will report if I run into anything.

You should be good to go if you didn't manually flash any radio firmware files.

I have seen this radio file issue over and over here, wonder why folks here manually flash radio files?

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

I don't support Xposed and any logcat which includes a Xposed module will be ignored.
You're kindly invited to not report bugs if you:
Flashed a custom kernel
Installed or did mods from untrusted sources

Translating the App
You can also help us by translating the app to your language:
1. You can start by looking at the full english language file: Link
2. Then compare it to your unfinished language file. You can find it here, under values-xx/strings.xml, xx being your language abbreviation.
3. You can then fill-in the missing strings in your language file. Here's an example of what a proper update looks like.
4. Then you can submit your translation by using our gerrit. If you don't know how to use gerrit, just PM the translation to your favorite developer and he'll get it merged!

I would not recommend dirty flashing from CM-13.0 since this is a major OS change. Also something to take into account is that some apps are not ready for N yet.
Haha again I'm the first to make a post whenever Thompatry releases a brand new ROM.
Thank you very much!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2017 to you and your family.

Eric
Finaly, a working Nougat for the awesome tab pro.
Love this tablet but the support from samsung is terrible. Stuck in 4.4 Kitkat and the tab deserves an better version.
Had a working Lollipop but it was buggy like hell.
This release is working perfect, and above all, its fast and smooth.
Nothing like the buggy Lollipop.
Keep up the good work, love this release and Marry Christmas to everyone.
So far working pretty well, but I'm not having any luck getting the SD card write fixes to work. I got them to work on M. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @dialbat
It is highly recommended you have 3.0.2-0 or higher, whilst you could still do it on your version more than likely, I would not recommend it as the later version have more advanced options that one should consider using, especially in the wipe department.
Just keep in mind that any recommendations that you see in the initial post, it is more than likely because during the testing period before release, we may find certain procedures, bugs or operational matters that are reflective on the versions of systems we are using, and thus we always look at the best possible recommendations, typically this avoids heavy amounts of repeated questions and repeated issues.
Cheers,
David.

Hi @dialbat
Just note if you install any other SU system it might claim that it is out of date, whilst this might be the case installing any other SuperSU system may interfer with the one it comes, and unless you need any crazy functions, the default one is pretty good.
Might be a useless bit of info, but I spent hours working on this to see what was optimal, and no matter what I landed back at the built in one for convieniance and usability [emoji2]
Cheers,
David.

CM14 first impressions. Clean install, big wipe, nano Open Gapps, all new app installations. Sound is weak and "OK Google" doesn't work as advertised. Play Store hiccoughed and then froze the tablet but reboot fixed it and no further glitches. Hangouts still will not send a text as with CM13.
Otherwise, as I have been adding and testing more apps, I have not found any problems. It seems amazingly smooth and stable. WiFi and BT are good. Citrix receiver works like a bomb. Haven't found an app yet that doesn't play in the sandbox with Nougat. File explorers and Titanum read and write to extSD1 out of the box. Love dual screen. Mouse works great with arrow and no more blue circle. Seems like this is easily a daily driver from the first release. Goodby CM13, I used to love you but now have a new friend.
Merry Christmas to us all!

About LD
Years after the death of LiquidSmooth, Sean Hoyt, (the LiquidSmooth lead dev) has returned to the ROM game, along with the Exynos5420 team, to bring greatness to our beloved Exynos5420 tablets (and note 3), out of the ashes of the fallen LiquidSmooth ROM. LiquidDeathOS is super optimized for the Exynos5420.
In fact right now it is so optimized that it won't even boot on non-exynos devices
LDO is AOSP based , and is only for Exynos devices

Helping the developers
You may have noticed there's 2 versions of this app, one ad-free for donators and one with ads.
You can help us by clicking ads you're interested in for the free version, or purchasing the donator version!
We will use the money generated by this app as common money for the developers of the team. It will be used to pay for our web-hosting (we own a gerrit server and a domain name, exynos5420.com). It will also be used to buy a new device if one of ours breaks.
FAQ:]
Q Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A No.
Q Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A Xposed is not yet available for nougat, however when it is ready you will need to use the version arm sdk 25.
Q Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A Yes, the next build will be Thursday evening (eastern time), unless if something goes wrong of course...
Q Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip in the substratum folder in the internal storage.
Q Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A Yes, however make a nandroid first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs, also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog

Whow!
Another great rom for our device and the file is really sssmmaaaaall this time!
No unwanted stuff, debloated right out of the box. Just the way I like it..!
I like to see new liquidness coming back...
Will test it tonight and report later...
I'm really curious to the optimizations done in this rom/kernel.
I am really glad with what dedication you all write new code for this nevertheless a few years old device.
If only we had a few good guys like you from the beginning ...
But finaly I'm really happy not to sold my device to replace it with a buggy pixel tab, Lol!
2 things so far, The wifi is set to recongize 5ghz in GB rather then all( don't remember the code for 'all', I switched mine to US). And some apps will have outstretched videos after a couple of seconds ( one such app is watchESPN). but other then, very nice ROM. Smooth and no troubling installing.
This ROM looks like a real killer. I like the fact that it is optimized for our specific chip, and the configurabilitylooks sweet. What gapps package is recommended for this build? I usully go with open gapps nano, but I might try the aroma package once more. I like the "pick & play" aspect and the install ui. Anybody have input with the gapps. I think I am going to really like this ROM. Thanks again, guys! ;-DeanoD
This looks awesome, i will be waiting for an stable version
Right, just clean flashed and I chose Nano GApps.
There's a problem that's solvable. It appears that the built-in AOSP WebView might not be working properly. For instance:
Feynman Lectures app opens but does not load its main page
Lightning Browser opens, but gets stuck once the UI is visible.
GetTube opens, but crashes once the YouTube link is clicked
Lithium eReader catalog crashes
SwiftKey is usable, but accessing its main menu (likely the one where it uses WebView to go online) crashes the app
"Crashes", as in the app is frozen and stops responding and Android offers the app-kill popup.
After installing Android WebView from the Play Store, everything works perfectly again. Checked the IR, camera, played some games (Machinarium, Deus Ex GO, TWoM) and all appears working. And yes, this is a real minimal install, so no music player, no browser etc from the get go.
And thus, those moving in from that CM14 build, might not be able to wake up from home key, hide software buttons and be rooted from a default install. I don't mind the former two, so to get root, download and flash the zip from here:
https://download.chainfire.eu/1017/SuperSU/SR1-SuperSU-v2.79-SR1-20161221223537.zip
I'll do some further testing, will report with more findings or logs in a week or so.
ROM won't boot after 15 minutes. Stuck at Android boot screen. Suggestions?

No mods, not even gapps. I performed a factory reset prior to flashing. I did receive the e: unknown command error after flash.
Edit: followed the instructions in OP to the letter. ROM boots fine now!
First Impressions
For a first draft ROM, this looks solid, and runs very clean. Still trying to tweak the install but system settings refuses to open so far. Will re-install tomorrow. ;-Deano

Currently there are none of the usual customisation options that you would expect in custom ROMs, absolutely nothing, being able to wake the tablet by pushing the physical home button would be a nice start. I'm also finding that like some other ROMs I've had on this and other devices Titanium backup will fail to restore some backups, just doing the animation it does while restoring but never actually finishing (having to install the occasional app from the play store while TB was doing its thing to make it progress), I had no sign of that problem with the CM14.1 ROM.
Once they hit their stride with development things should progress nicely, LiquidSmooth was probably the best ROM I've used (at least on this device).
It has navbar customizations in the system UI tuner, app ops in the security settings, and one of the main features is the substratum theme engine, more features will be added soon, can you get a logcat for the titanium backup issue
Right now the plan is to iron out the reported bugs, and then focus on a lot more features, keep in mind, this is this literally our first release ever, don't expect it to have a ton of features on the very first release
Really impressed by this ROM. Amazing work guys!

My first go at capturing something using Catlog is attached, TB trying to restore Adaway app & data for a while.
I have looked through pretty much the entire Settings interface and found no "system UI tuner" anywhere and no app that looks as though it would do any such thing, I have not removed a thing via TB or any other means.

XOS is a new generation Android-based cutting-edge OS based on the Android Open Source Project and Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from the
Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Code Aurora Forum (CAF),
with extremely minor set of components from LineageOS (LaOS or LN) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the AOSP and CAF, the LineageOS Project and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.
http://halogenos.org
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another ROM:
Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Backing up your [I]Internal Storage[/I] is also recommended.
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build!
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
You can dirty flash halogenOS 7 (Nougat) over halogenOS 6 (Marshmallow)
without any problems. Although we cannot promise that it will work for you,
although we don't recommend it, we can tell you that this has been tested.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

XOS ships with an OTA updater built-in which should automate the downloading and flashing process,
however should your wish be to manually update the ROM, you should be our guest.
Code:
* Download the current version of XOS for your device.
* Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (Note: We recommend TWRP)
* [b]Please do not[/b] wipe anything, including Cache/Dalvik/ART, the ROM has you covered.
* Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
* Flash Kernel.
* Reboot.
You do not need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You do not need to flash Google Apps again*.
You do not need more than 5 minutes.
* Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
Screenshots
Currently right now, halogenOS will only include the stock Android theme.
We may one day decide to use a custom theme as soon as that theme is working perfectly fine.

Nahh to comfortable with my setup for testing atm
Flashed this yesterday evening and so far so good! Only been used lightly so I'll report any bugs that do come up, but overall seems like a great job One of my favorite additions is the ability to switch notifications back to the old ticker style, which IMO is much better than the heads-up notifications used now. Definitely makes this a keeper!
Quick update, just found my first bug - the front-facing camera doesn't appear to be active at all (it doesn't come up in any app, including the default camera app). Not a deal-breaker for me at all fortunately.

Common stuff
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Planned features (don't ask for these!):
Heads-Up toggle
Button actions
OTA Updates
Highlights (some are OPO-only):
Built with UberTC
No QS Bug!!!
Reworked Lockscreen Visualizer
New implementation of button backlight
Modern Services -> Google Assistant etc.
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
KCal support
Kernel optimizations
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Offline Gestures support (super fast recoginition)
Alert Slider
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Flash Magisk 13.3 or newer if you want
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
How to install the ROM for the first time:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Wipe system, data and cache (If you want to try a dirty flash, dont wipe anything)
Flash the ROM
Flash gapps if you want
Flash Magisk 13.3 or newer if you want (Download 2.79 here)
Reboot

Camera already worked in permissive, but had problems in enforcing. Could you take a look for the next build?
Also the text don't in the upper bar, when it displays the context of an SMS, is somewhat too big when the screen display size is set to smallest, could this be somewhat smaller? Reboot fixed it
hdr crashes with default camera, bacon camera seems to work fine

HDR works for me ..just enable AutoHDR in setting for both front and back camera before using it simple.
Just clear data of the camera and do the above setting.
"Though its crashing without enabling autoHDR"
Absolutely best nougat ROM for me. Plz keep updating until you made this one for Android Oreo

Here you go.
Very nice rom love it i like near stock roms but have strayed with n roms due to camera. Great camera except the flash doesn't work right see pics the bright one was taken with google camera other pic with stock camera. When you touch screen to focus flash lights up the object like in the google cam pic but when it takes the pic the flash is so dim it doesnt really work.
What would be the best camera app to use to get full benefits of the camera blobs? Bacon camera?
Rom is fluid and responsive as compared to other caf roms. Keep updating because some of developers just creating lots of roms And neglecting there updates specially sutenized CAF roms...

Code:
* Please take a full [I]Nandroid[/I] backup!
* Please copy your back up to an external device.
* Back up your [I]Internal Storage[/I]
* When completed, [I]clean flash[/I] the build (format using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe)
Although you usually may dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM is built upon the same Android version, it is not guaranteed.
In case of performance issues or crashes please do a clean flash.
Overall as a ROM, XOS is very stable. Our mission statement has always been of maintaining a clean and properly maintained ROM.
We take proper priority with ensuring that performance and stability are put first, features are considered an extra topping on the cake.

Installing for the first time
Code:
* Download the current version of XOS for your device.
* Reboot into a compatible Android Recovery solution. (Note: We recommend [URL="https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5t/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-oreo-8-0-8-1-t3729673"]TWRP[/URL], use always the recommended version from first post)
* Wipe [B]Wipe '/system' & '/cache', FORMAT /data preferably using fastboot --wipe-and-use-fbe (You will lose all your data incl. internal storage).[/B].
[I](For `Dirty Flash`, do not wipe anything)[/I]
* Select the appropriate ROM zip and flash the current ROM build.
* Want Google Apps? Obtain and flash the latest GApps from [url]http://opengapps.org/[/url]
* Flash any other system modifications you may want
* Reboot.
Manually updating the ROM
XOS ships with an OTA updater built-in (soon) which should automate the downloading and flashing process,
however should your wish be to manually update the ROM, you should be our guest.
* Reflash any system modifications that do not survive updated (everything that is not addon.d-capable)
* Reboot.

Might be a bad download. In fact, i find it more smooth than any other 8.1 rom. The stock launcher is so dam smooth, i might just refrain from flashing a custom launcher.

Seems to be a Gapps issue, since latest build went perfectly through setup wizard without hiccups. You can try to use these gapps too if GZR gapps dont work https://download.dirtyunicorns.com/gapps/arm64/EzioGappsMini-arm64-8.x.x-official-April2018.zip
Fingerprint gestures are in System > Gestures , for now there is only swipe down for notifications
Well well well, look who's here with XOS.

Not sure if this is a feature but the WiFi is turned off on each reboot. I have to manually turn it ON every time.

This is indeed a feature, although coming straight from Google. It's a security feature introduced in Android 8.1. Which means you will have to enable it on every reboot.
