Phone Profiles Plus - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

Hi all,
I just wanted to share an app I've been using for quite a while and I think it's great and might be useful for some.
It's called Phone Profiles Plus, it allows you to set sound profiles based on time of day, location, connected devices, connected to WiFi or Bluetooth and also when connected to a charger, you can also have it launch apps based on what it's connected to.
Example 1: When I got to the gym and connect my Bluetooth headphones, it will automatically launch 2 apps for me, Google Play Music and my workout app (but doesn't close them when disconnected, unless I didn't figure how)
Example 2: When I connect my phone anytime between 11pm and 8am to the charger, it will set all sounds to silent and then revert back to the previous profile once I take the phone of the charger.
Example 3: If I go the the movies (I usually go to the same 2 theaters) my phone will automatically change to vibrate based on the location.
Anyway I thought I would just share.
Phone Profiles Plus at Google Play Store

Yes, it's great but unfortunately has no good help file. For example I totally cannot figure out what 'shared profile' is. And why bluetooth is constantly switching on when nothing is triggering it and there is absolutely nothing on the log file.

I just installed this app and it seems awesome. I, too, am having some small configuration issues and was looking for a subreddit, user forum, wiki, or some other place where users could help each other. Does anyone know if this exists?
I'm using the app without events until I get the profiles working like I need. I want all notifications off at night (Sleep profile) except for my ringer and alarm. I enabled the "Unlink Ringer and Notification Volumes", set notification volume to 0, Ringer to 1, but I can still hear all of my notifications. Am I missing some other setting somewhere?
Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this!

I would try to set the system sounds to 0, silent sound notifications, 1 ringtones, but silent sound and ring only for those who have a ringing tone assigned, the alarm clock works, and other announcements are quiet. It works fine for me.

This app is surely great, I have one problem: my home and my work places are very close to each other and there is only one mobile cell that covers both my home and my work. There are around 10 totally different cells for home and 10 other cells for work but this only one common cell that is in use in both home and work areas is spoiling the whole profile change process because my profiles are changing based on mobile cells. It would be very easy if my GPS sensor was enabled at all times but it is not and don’t want to be enabled constantly. Any advice of how to solve this problem without GPS enabled will be greatly appreciated! My phone is Samsung Galaxy S9+ and it is rooted with Magisk.

I like this app, but I am having similar issues here. Bluetooth activates/deactivates unexpectedly. Events sometime trigger unexpectedly. Can't find support.

I'm using this app too and potentially it should be great, however I cant get events working as they should. Finding some sort of support would be handy.

What issues are you having with getting your events to work? Are they activated? Did you set priorities for them?

Thanks for your response. My events sometimes don't activate and you are correct, it could be to do with the priorities which I didn't pay too much attention to before. I thought as long as the active parameters were met the event would activate the profile. For example I initially had my home profile activated by the area then I tried mobile cell censor, I also set this to be active between 7AM and 2300. I had a 'night' event from 2300 till 7AM which only seemed to activate when I restarted events. I had a work event which should have activated on the area where I work but wasn't. Even when I tried manual activation it wasnt changing. Yesterday I cancelled the time activation on the 'at home' event and left the times on the 'night' event and gave a higher priority to the 'night' event and this seemed to work last night, but I have previously had things working for one activation before then it doesn't again, so we will see. Also I have switched to 'order events by priority' rather than start order, so will see how that works over the next day or so when I am back at work.

I found using the priorities helps a lot with event, here's some examples of events that I have setup and their priorities.
Event name: Work (activated by time: Mon to Fri, 8am to 6pm) / Priority: P6
Event name: Car (activated by Bluetooth connection to my car) / Priority: P8
Event name: Bedtime (activated by time and if phone is charging: 7 days, 11pm to 7am and phone must be also be charging to launch event / Priority: P7
So here is where setting Priorities is important:
Let's say it's 11:30pm and I'm home and put my phone on the charger, my Bedtime event will activate which switches my Profile to the DND that I set up.
But if it's 11:30pm and I go into my car and connect my phone to Android Auto (USB cable) or to the car charger, my Car event will launch and not my Bedtime event.
My Car event is set to P8 and Bedtime is set to P7, so the Car event takes priority over the Bedtime event.
I've been using Phone Profiles Plus for a few years now and have about 10 events setup.
If you have questions, I'll be glad to try and help, I learned how to use it by trial and error.

Thanks for your help. What I have done seems to have things working now though there can be a delay of about 20 minutes at times before a profile is switched, have you found that to be the case too?
What switch do you use for your 'order events by...'? Does this matter?
I did delete the car profile as it wasn't activating at all now but I'm going to create it again and try it now other things seem to be working.
Thanks

I am using redmi note 7 now, I used the app b4 on redmi Note 4 and it was perfect, when I changed to note 7, I took the saved profiles with me and granted every possible permission to it, however when I change profiles and there is a brightness change within the new assigned profile, the screen dims to the lowest brightness after few seconds of activating the profile... Everything else works perfect.. Only the brightness issue.. Any help?

Hi,
I started using Phone Profiles Plus as a replacement of Llama. Unfortunately it doesn't detect connected cell unless I press RE-SCAN button. Is it related to specific phone model (I have Xiaomi Mi Max 3)?

VIP or Starred contacts
I've been using this app for quite a while now and I have a good setup that's been working great. However there is one thing I can't for the life of me figure out. I have certain numbers (VIP or starred contacts) to allow to sound even when it's on silent (zero volume).
Any ideas on how to make that work?
Thanks!

Edit : So finally figured this app out and dang, I must say it's pretty darn good! This and Audio Profiles (found on the Play Store - not free) are the only two Profile Apps that I have found that work w/ A11 that lets you control the screen brightness & sound levels. But this app here, PhoneProfilesPlus, let's you control much much much more than that and is more configurable than Audio Profiles but is more confusing to set up, however. But once you do figure it out it's totally worth it as it does work better than AudioProfiles (for me at least).
The only feature that I wish I could find or make happen is that when I manually switch profiles that I can choose a beep to sound when I do the switching. I see that I can make it beep when it changes Events, but how can I make it beep when I manually switch profiles? (I left a suggestion on Github).
Gotta say it's pretty crazy that more profile apps such as these don't exist.. PhoneWeaver was the bomb way back in the day
Btw, you gotta find it here now : https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/sk.henrichg.phoneprofilesplus

Few Questions regarding the SGS2

Hello everyone, I have a few questions / issues regarding this phone and android in general, here it goes:
Voice Talk: what are the differences between the two apps (the one with the green and the one with the blue background colors)? They seem to do the same things to me.
Energy saving: the energy saving implementation doesn't seem too "smart" to me. I'm cool with setting reduced energy configurations like lower brightness and turning off bluetooth etc when the battery treshold kicks in, but I'd expect it to restore my setup once the battery level goes above the treshold again. Atm I have to manually undo all the changes that the battery saving functionality does, basically once a day. Isn't there a "smarter" app that restores my settings before the energy saving mode kicks in?
The battery: I've streamed 30 min of music from the device to my car's bluetooth stereo, and it removed 26% of the battery charge. I'm on fw KE2 cause it seems that KE7 is even worse when it comes to power consumption. Still, isn't it too much?
Volume: I've turned it all the way up both with the side button and inside settings -> sounds (all 4 of them). Still, if someone in my office is talking I miss a sms reception etc. It never happened to me when I had the 5800 express music, so I'm not deaf
App notifications: I left my phone near my bed, there is at least 3 out of 4 bars of 3G signal, facebook is set on 30 min updates, accuweather on 3 hours, info-costs every hour, the phone never turned off nor lost the 3g coverage, yet it missed completely or partially a LOT of updates
App settings: app settings also seem a bit random. I have an app called noLed to show led notifications on the screen when it's locked. I had enabled it, checked the "start noled after phone reboot" and all, and even if the phone never even rebooted, after a day or two I went it and the first checkbox (activate NoLed) was misteriously turned off...
Thanks everyone,
TD

Not that I'm not following your logic, it just seems kinda silly to have 3 apps for doing something that 1 app would be enough to do. For example, it's like having Street View as another external application, even thought it's just clearly a Maps "add-on".

Yes true but a lot of users are incapable of using stuff that requires effort and need big shiny widgets and hand holding .

I'm particularly interested in a response to the energy saving that is stock on the sgs2.
However what i want to know is if the energy saving is active, or whether 'energy saving enabled' simply means it is ready to cut in when battery gets down to set target.
Any response to the above questions would be appreciated.
Ta in advance.

Isn't it kinda silly to have two different interfaces for a program I'm not even really supposed to use via its interface, but via voice commands?....

As far as I've understood, when it says 'energy saving enabled' in the notification panel it just means that the feature is turned on, but it doesn't necessarely mean that it's gone into 'energy saving mode' already.
My issue with it remains, I don't want it to disable account sync, bluetooth, turn down the brightness etc, and the day after, once the phone is recharged, I have to re-enable all of them...

Got it figured out.
Voice command is for when you're sitting down or something and can give the phone your total attention, while Voice talk is for when you're driving or something.
In Voice talk you can enable 'driving mode', which reads out and incoming texts and numbers of the phone which is calling you.
Even with that disabled, you can just say 'Hi Galaxy' or 'Hey Galaxy' and it will start listening to your commands.
(useful while you're just driving and don't want to be distracted by having to hold down the home button (ahem iPhone) or tap the Tap to speak button)
Still a bit redundant (why not just have voice talk?) but at least there's a difference
I now see what you mean about sync being disabled after leaving power saving mode.
Had a scout about and can't find a solution to this.
Anyone have a solution because this is very annoying.

I'm a bit puzzled by the battery life. I mean, afterall they advertise the various components of the gs2 as battery saving (for example the actually turned off pixels of the super amoled, or the dual core).
So, by logic, if the more advanced parts of it are energy saving compared to other less advanced models, why isn't it consuming less battery?....
Any more info?
I have a new question, is it normal under KE2 that the wi fi can't catch the signals almost al all?
At university I couldn't even detect the network, while the guy next to me with an iphone4 had full signal strength. On the train I had 1 line and it kept disconnecting, while my mate with the nokia 5800 express had no issue with it.
Even at my house going from my desk where the router is to my bed right in front of it, it already starts to drop significantly.
Another issue that I've noticed is that sometimes even tho there is 3g coverage the apps won't refresh. For example, AccuWeather hasnt refreshed since the day before, or manually firing a refresh of the contacts in my WhatsApp list ends in a "update failed, try again later" message, but after rebooting the phone it magically works right away...

Anyone else using Tasker? If so, what profiles you setting up?

I love Tasker. I use it a lot on my phone for all kinds of automated tasks. For the Prime, I have set up the following so far:
1. at 11pm it shuts off WiFi and starts back up at 6:30am (save battery if I forget to put it on charger)
2. at 10pm it shuts off BT and never starts back up in morning (save battery if I forget to put it on charger or forget to turn BT off)
3. at 10pm it shuts off GPS and never starts back up in morning (save battery if I forget to put it on charger or forget to turn GPS off) - UPDATE: I see now this one will not work in the HC OS as the system requires user interaction to set GPS
4. at 11pm it shuts off Sync and starts back up at 6:30am (save battery if I forget to put it on charger and I dont want to hear gMail alerts all nigh)
5. When on power cable, it (a) turns off the need to unlock it (b) leaves the screen on
6. give me an alert tone at 20% battery
7. if it is in my car and attached via BT it turns up the brightness (since I am outside) and leaves on display (as I normally also have it plugged in) so I can use things like Torque and the Navi/GPS and see the screen
thats all for now... anyone else?

Haven't gotten my Prime yet, but that Tasker app sounds pretty cool. It sound kind of like JuiceDefender, except there's a lot more options.
With those settings, what kind of Battery life do you get?
If you don't know what Tasker is, you have no idea how powerful it is. It is amazing, you can control virtually every function, setting, alert, automation, etc. What I have done here is the tip if the iceberg. I have some for my phone that sense I am in my car, thanks to BT, and does a series of 3 to 4 steps like turn up brightness, play a tone to tell me it is connected to my car, start up a certain app, etc..

Tasker is pretty awesome!
A bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, the sky is the limit.
I have a profile that if I receive a text while driving, it autoresponds telling the person texting and driving is dangerous and I am currently driving at xx MPH and will get with them later.
I get a lot of people inquiring about that one.
The most useful one I have is it looks at my calendar and if it is during the time of my meeting, it automatically puts my phone on vibrate. That way I don't have to worry about it. When meeting is over, it reverts back to normal.
Yes, tasker is INCREDIBLE. Once you figure it out, it can almost double your battery life (at least it did on my phone).
You can try reddit.com/r/tasker, where most people post awesome tasker profiles and ask for help accomplishing certain settings. There are also a ton on the internet if you google search for tasker set-ups:
http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index (this is a great one)
I have been using Tasker for a while. It is incredible. My current challenge is switching to switftkey when I have my TFP keyboard undocked, and to the asus keyboard when the keyboard is docked. Tasker can detect the keyboard being plugged in, but not being unplugged. If anyone solves this, I would love to hear about it.
Tasker is one of the defining differences between ios and Android. Really shows off how powerful android can really be if you're willing to take the time
OP wanna post your profiles? And maybe a quick writeup (or link) how to apply them for those who dont know...
I used to use tasker for BLN to enable notifications from various apps that normally didnt work with BLN, as well as making my phone vibrate every minute or so if theres a missed notification (text, etc) for aprox 5 minutes just so that way if i was with a customer at work (retail) i could deal with the customer but wouldnt forget about the messages i got
Awesome app indeed.

Put a small SD card in the dock. Have Tasker check when it mounts/unmounts.
Might not work since there's no notification on unmounting /Removable/SD. Maybe have it check for access to /Removable/SD every X minutes?

Got mine setup with a profile to set off an alarm when the microsd gets unmounted.
Almost lost my mircrosd once before with it popping out and not realising to later - hopefully this should help
I have 4 profiles that I copied from my phone to do the same tasks:
Home: When near my Home wi-fi AP, turn on wi-fi. When no longer near the AP, turn off wi-fi.
Sleep Mode: Put device on silent, turn on airplane mode (11PM-5AM).
Work Location: When near my office wi-fi, turn on wi-fi, turn on silent mode. When no longer near the AP (i.e. not at work), turn off wi-fi, turn off silent mode off.
Work Timer: During work days/hours (M-F 6-3), turn silent mode on. After work hours, turn silent mode off. Exception: if there's an event with a description of "Vacation" on the calendar. If that exists, device does not go into silent mode.
There are others that I use on my phone.

i believe you are correct. but i am not very imaginative. so its very possible that i cant just find a use for it, doesnt meant that it isnt there. i plan on doing some research into some of the already made profiles to see if someone interests me. so far, the unmount microsd seems to be the only plausible for me
Not sure how I missed this thread before; I'm a huge fan of Tasker. All of what follows was written for my Samsung Epic 4G: I don't even have Tasker installed on my TFP because so much of what I do is smartphone-focused. Sooner or later I'll get around to putting together some tablet-specific scripts.
Surreptitiously snaps a photo from the front-facing camera every time the screen is unlocked, with no visual or audio indication. This is set up so as to always keep the last 2 photos stored, and will overwrite older photos. Images can be retrieved remotely via a secret text message.
Set up secret text messages that trigger the phone to gather information such as GPS location (reverse geocoded to an address), speed, heading, altitude, local cell tower ID and signal strength, nearby and connected WiFi SSIDs, WAN IP, currently open app, whether the screen is turned on, battery strength, and covert photographs taken from the front and rear cameras (including the one that was captured from the front camera when the screen was last unlocked) and text/email me back without notifying whomever has the phone. Another message will make my phone freak out, announce it's been stolen, announce that all of the above information has been sent to the owner of the phone, flash the LED in an SOS, and force all outbound calls to go to me.
If I send a secret message to my phone, it calls me back, and enables speakerphone, so I can speak with whomever has my phone. It also reroutes any outbound calls to my number. I can also ask it to send me photos from the front and rear cameras on the phone.
Ensured that when the phone is connected to my home's local cell tower, it always rings when I call it. I never have to worry about it being on vibrate while under a couch cushion or in a snowbank next to the driveway.
When I plug in a headset or it connects to my car's bluetooth, it pops up a list of media applications for me to use, and if I don't select one or back out of the selection, it automatically starts my Pandora, and kills the app when I unplug / disconnect. Basically, I get in my car, my music plays. I get out, it stops. Same with headphones.
When it detects the cell tower near my work, it enables vibrate.
If it detects a cell tower that is not the one near my home or work, it turns on the ringer and disables WiFi (unless I re-enable it).
If someone calls me that I don't even want a voicemail from, I add their number to a list in Tasker, and when they call me, it picks up the line and immediately hangs it up. Working on one that will play back a fake "Your call could not be completed as dialed" message.
Checks accuweather.com in the morning on work days to see if it's raining, snowing, sleeting, or hailing. If any of the above, it rings an alarm 30 minutes early. I also built in snooze functions and a voice notification in the morning about the outside temperature and conditions. This script recently broke (accuweather probably did something to affect the output of my HTTPGet) so I've been using the voice notification in Alarm Clock Plus, though it doesn't wake me up early. With current weather conditions I'm going to have to get my script fixed for the head start. My how-to on this script is on Tasker's wiki, here: http://tasker.wikidot.com/weather-clock
If I start Google Navigation with GPS disabled, it closes the app, enables GPS, and starts the app back up again. No more fiddling with GPS settings while on the go. Sometimes this script is not 100% reliable... I've got to look at it again some time to figure out why.
I made a blog post a while back about how to take the pictures remotely with the camera, and you can read about it here:
http://sean-the-electrofreak.blogspot.com/2011/10/more-fun-with-tasker-covert-mugshots.html
The email-attachment part can also be used to send audio recordings, which I've not actually implemented yet but wouldn't be difficult.
I've been putting off for the last 6 months or so my write-up on all the rest... I just have to find time for it!

[Q] What's the best sound/profile scheduler for my situation?

Hi.
On my old Samsung Fascinate, I used to use ToggleSettings, but apparently that was discontinued and doesn't work at all on my new Galaxy S3...
Here's what I need:
In short, I need ALL sounds and vibrations EXCEPT phone calls (and maybe the alarm clock if possible) to automatically be turned off at a specified time every evening. My wake-up time is different on many days, so I need to be able to turn them all back on manually without it disabling the automatic quiet mode in the evening.
What I used to do with the previous program was to turn off all Syncing - no Syncing, no email sounds.
I tried Profile Scheduler, and it's a nice program, but it has a few limitations that don't work for my purposes - it will buzz at every profile change, it let a calendar notification through when all sounds were supposed to be off (except alarm - I figured alarm was clock, not calendar, maybe I'm wrong there...), and when I manually turn Night mode off in the morning whenever I get up, it disables the schedule to turn Night mode back on later...
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I'm in the same situation as you now with my HTC One. I've moved from an iPhone where the DND service works exactly as you described above. Profile Scheduler does not do the trick. I guess it's not a good sign that this has sat idle for so long!
I ended up using Llama.
After some tricking around, I figured out what I needed.
I have Night Mode as an Event - it turns off syncing (no email sounds) and enables the Profile Night where most sounds are turned off.
I'm not 100% sure that the phone whitelist works, but I haven't really needed it lately.
Also, I setup a folder on my Home screen with shortcuts to my Night Mode EVENT (not the Profile) and Day Mode.

Thanks, I'll take a look. Found this thread too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40570994

Tasker profile becomes inactive after phone is idle for 10 minutes

Hi all,
I have an AT&T Samsung Note 3 SM-N900A running Android 4.3 (baseband version N900AUCUBMJ5, kernel v3.4.0-1625098). I rooted it using Kingo, installed Tasker (with Secure Settings plugin), and created 2 profiles: one with a 'Home' location context, and one with a 'Work' location context. In the 'Location Edit' map screen for each, I set a pinned location w/ a radius of 200m. I also de-select 'GPS' (leaving only 'NET'), since I don't want GPS enabled all the time (to extend battery life). I confirm that these work when I'm actively using the phone.. the profile becomes active when I'm at the specified location (as expected). I know it's active because it's displayed in the Notification Panel (and it's also shown in green in the Tasker profiles list).
The issue I'm having is that after ~10 minutes of idle time (i.e. when the display is off and I'm not using the phone), I find that the profile is no longer active when I turn the display back on and start using the phone again. I confirmed that this *doesn't* happen after 1 minute, 2 minutes, nor 5 minutes… only > 10. I also confirmed that it happens for both profiles consistently. However, as soon as I start Tasker again from the Apps Drawer (or from Recent Apps screen), the profile is immediately activated again, and my Enter task is re-run.
I enabled the run log in Tasker prefs, but it basically shows a clean activation of the profile (with no warnings or anything that looks weird to me).
I know there's a 10-minute timeout in the Display Off Monitoring prefs, but that doesn't seem to be related to my issue. I tried reducing the All Checks Seconds from 600 to 90, rebooted the phone, and it still took ~10 minutes before the profile would become inactive after the phone being idle.
Any thoughts as to what the culprit might be? Are there any system logs I can look at that might shed some light here? I'm new to Android, and this seemed like the place to ask..
Thanks.
Ok, not solved..
Alright, bumping this, as the problem is back again after some time.
Has anyone ever seen Tasker exhibit the behavior I described? Again, I start the phone and Tasker profile is active, let the phone go idle for >10 minutes, the profile is no longer active and I need to restart Tasker manually to make it active again.
Still trying to figure out what logs are best to look at..

Issues so far

I've only had my watch 16 hours or so (7 of which I was asleep), and I like it, and plan to develop apps for it..... but I have the following issues:
Updated (9 Jul)
Take a note voice command just sends me an email, instead of using something like Google Keep
The screen dims for a second before screen turns off (or goes to clock) - if I do OK Google during this time it ignores it
Set a Timer voice command does not work - options set an alarm menu
No music controls when I use default music player, or RocketPlayer Solved my Wear Music Controller
When doing a voice search, it often says Disconnected. 6 times so far, one time I had to restart watch before it could reconnect.
Dictating a longish email will eventually fail, even though it recognized loads of the words.
Step count often not updated on homescreen widget, despite it showing a higher number in the actual watch app
Dismissing a google now card (weather for example), you can't get it back if you did it by mistake
Navigation started from watch sits on Calulating route... if music playing on phone with screen locked.
Screen stays on while charging (reported by dunjamon) Solved by Slumber
I have it paired with HTC One S with Liberty S4 MAX custom ROM.
Anyone else have these issues (what device do you have it paired with)? Or know how to fix/work around them?
I have 4 and 7 8 D:
Number 1 confused me for a while. I searched everything on my phone before I realised that it had just emailed me. With number 7, I've turned off the step count...yet it still tells me my total of 0.
Also, is with the screen always on settings set to no, when you put it on charge the screen stays on. It's a nightmare at night, I have to turn it off and then boot it back up in the morning. There needs to be some kind of sleep mode or setting to allow the screen to be off while charging.
I've had 3 and 5
5 is a bit annoying. I'm hoping a restart means it won't recur as I go thru the day...

I didn't know about these developer options: Tapping build version several times works, same as a phone. The "Stay awake when charging" option is disabled by default however. I've only recently enabled the "always keep screen on" mode, so will be interesting to see what happens when charging tonight...
Regarding 1) It has started working! I installed Evernote for Android Wear from play store, also Baby Time and Draw Watch. I also resycn'ed all apps using the option in the Android Wear companion app.
Next time I did "take a note", it asked if I wanted to complete Action using Keep or Evernote, so I chose Keep. I also can see Keep in the list of apps on watch (before it wasn't there). The note was stored in Keep. Still works after uninstalling Evernote.
Regarding 4) I installed Music (Remix) Trial from play store, and Pause, Prev, Next actions are now on my watch. Unfortunately, the buttons do nothing. Not sure if this is an issue with my particular phone or what... Anyone else tried this app?

I've already disabled the stay awake while charging option. Unless it needs to be activated and then the watch itself to be set to not be always on. Will have another play tonight.
I've also noticed Keep show up in the apps now after another update. Will test out another note and see where it goes.
Got none of these problems with my watch. Fix for 8: If eg you swiped away the weather just say "ok google, what's the weather". after it told you the card should be back. this works for me, also with others like world clock, steps etc.
Just tried the screen off while charging and it doesn't work. The only way I can get the screen to turn off is to put it on charge and then on my phone set the screen to go off.
I actually have none of these issues...

I hope it isn't the case where everything will only work flawlessly with the latest Nexus devices. Have Google tested Wear with anything older?
I suppose it would make good business sense to encourage peeps to fork out for a Nexus 5 after spending money on a Wear watch...
Another issue I'm seeing is starting a Navigation from the watch won't work if I have music playing on my phone (phone lockscreen has music player UI). It just sits there on Calculating route... I'll add this to my list (and others from other peeps)

Number 4, music control, works well with Pandora. I like that I can start Pandora by voice, but there's no way to shut it down the same way.
Number 8, the disappearing cards was giving me hell on stocks. To resolve, I opened a browser on my workstation, Googled "quote xom" or whatever stock, and then the stocks card reappeared. I suspect a simple "Ok, Google...quote XOM" might do the same thing.
None of these issues. Nexus 5 Stock 4.4.4. You are also using a custom ROM so.....
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
No 3. Timer kicks straight into Alarm picker. Timer does work when you get to Google screen, swipe up and manually select it. But that's not a solution. I'm on stock 4.3.
Having the control issue with google play music and youtube when connected to chromecast he buttons wouldn't work and with youtube wven tho there was nothing playing the buttons were still on the watch and couldn't be dismissed
also having the connection issues if i take the watch out of the reach of the phone the app won't reconnect unless i go into the app myself to do it even then the watch says it's not connected when using ok google
EDIT: Happened again this time can't get the Ok Google working at all
Anybody else having issues where raising your arm to activate "Ok Google"isn't working consistently? We've got 2 watches in the house, and I've worn both. Same issue. Seems like if you don't use it for awhile, the arm motion won't wake the watch back up.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
I'm having some of the same issues. I've had a few smart watches to compare.
-My Gear 2 worked way better as far as waking up when raising my arm. The LG G is difficult to wake by raising my arm.
-Bluetooth doesn't connect automatically when I get back in range of my phone. The other smart watches have done this that I have owned so not sure why this issue exists.
-There's no way to set the screen timeout. This thing times out very quick. Personally, I have no problem charging my batt every night so I would like to take advantage of the 30 or so % that is left on the watch each night by increasing the screen time out, vibration duration etc.
-I have a difficult time getting cards back after deleting even if I search for the stock, weather, etc. again.
-No way to reply to text messages.
I'll add more as they hit me.
