[HUAWEI MATE 9] Some background apps close after a certain amount of time - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

On my Mate nine I have a KSWEB webserver running (Lighttpd+PHP+MySQL) which works excellently and has a very low battery consumption.
I have been using this app for years, on other devices as well.
I use it for having replicas (i.e. just a 1:1 copy from my webserver) of my websites offline, so I can show them without internet connection, and for testing purposes.
But on this device the KSWEB app just finishes (browser gives 'website not available') and after starting KSWEB manually, it keeps running for about a day and then it stops.
I think this is not a KSWEB issue, but a battery saver / doze issue on Nougat.
I know that Android 6+ has a 'doze' function which stops background apps when the screen is off for a certain time, but I have excluded KSWEB (and some other apps) from stopping in the background in battery saver, but that won't help.
Is there a way to keep certain apps running in the background ?

[Q] Best app to check battery usage and wakelocks?

Which apps / widgets are recommended to monitor and troubleshoot battery life issues? The apps that seem to be mentioned most often with regards to monitoring and troubleshooting battery life issues, seem to be BatterBatteryStats, Battery Monitor Widget and CPU Spy. Any other recommended app?
Time and again though I have come across a screen capture for an app as follows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
For the life of me I have not been able to figure out what app this is... I've done loads of searches and tried numerous apps, without success. A comment in one of the forums seemed to suggest that it is Battery Monitor Widget Pro, which I ended up buying and which works quite well - but unfortunately not what I was actually looking for.

When I Force Stop an app in Control Panel, I lose 25-50MB of RAM..huh?

Force Stopping an app that wont stop misbehaving and killing memory (like the dumb facebook app)... suddenly I lost a ton of memory after doing so. I usually End Process in System Panel but facebook keeps reloading itself and gobbling RAM..so I resort to Force Stop so it wont keep running. I hate that damn app! Ends up using almost 60MB not even being used..Website works a ton better btw...thats why I dont use the shoddy app. But why TF am I losing RAM FS'ing an app? FS'ing makes it kill Firefox then I end up having to reload firefox all over again.
Let's let Xzibit fix your problem!

New Google Search causing wakelocks?

I have 3 apps to track battery usage. Crpalmers kernels have always yielded above average battery life so I don't review the apps very often until recently. I use better battery stats, battery stats plus and and the stock HTC power menu. I find the apps on both BBS and bsp are sometimes completely different for what's using the battery but usually they are similar. I know how to figure if wakelocks are plaguing the device and I think I see proof of that here in the screenshot. The battery drain issue seems to be GPS so I'm turning it off completely now. This all started after the most recent Google search update. Can anyone confirm or deny my statements, I'm not an expert but eager to learn more about how the device tends to misbehave.

[SOLVED] Realme 1 : Poor memory management in 3/4/6GB Ram variants

Hey there. In this thread I'm gonna share a simple solution that will solve your RAM management issues especially when network required applications are minimized they tend to close instantly irrespective of you locking the app in recents,this is because the ColorOS tweaks the App behavior such that the battery life increases. Following this guide will solve the issue.
Here's how:
1) Go to Settings.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2)Battery
3) Energy Saver
4)Choose the app you have the issue with.
5)Turn off 'Background Freeze'
6)Turn off 'Abnormal app Optimization'
7)Turn off 'Doze'
Know that by doing this your battery life may take a hit. But poor experience with a great battery life is not all we want.
I'd be glad if it solves your issue.
This does not work. It seems OPPO has some weird restriction and freezes apps running in background. So, no push notifications are received.

Android 10/11 Fast Battery Drain & Overheating

I've had my Pixel 3XL taking 5 hrs to charge the battery with the screen off, using the supplied charger. CPU usage constantly at 80%+. Temps 43C+ during normal use (not playing games or videos, not encoding whatever)
This has been happening for a couple of months, and today I found out why. I noticed that some music apps (soundcloud, spotify, tunein radio) would have their last played song/station persist in the drawer for way too long, and couldn't be dismissed.
SOUNDS>ADVANCED>MEDIA>Hide player when the media session has ended.
