Interchanging ROMs of Different Brands - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Folks,
I recently bought a little known Chinese phone with the name Organon Max S9, running a Helio X25 processor which is MTK6797T. The OS on the phone is Android 6.1, but in Chinese. I would like to install Nougat 7. 1. 2 on it in English, but after hours and hours of struggle, I have been unable to find any Organon ROM for this purpose.
The question is: Can I put in another ROM in it? I mean, Xiaomi Redmi PRO has the same processor (MTK6979T) and its ROM is readily available. Can I put Redmi PRO ROM in my Organon Max S9? If so, how?
Any informed answers, suggestions, tricks and tweaks would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!
Ede

PS> I am a Newbie, newbie in this area so please help!

I wouldn't do that if I were you, there are a lot of things to consider.
Kernel Version would probably be different. So you have to find one which is the same version.
If you follow the many ROM Porting Guides you might be able to boot and get it working, but expect a lot of bugs like no camera or wrong resolutions, no sounds, GPU won't help with any games and such.
Still it's a hit or miss.

The simple straight forward answer for this is simply no, Just because a phone shares the same SoC doesn't mean we take another devices ROM. If that was possible we'd have LG's running touchwiz and HTC's running LG software and all sorts of craziness. Unless these two devices are from the same OEM and are nearly identical in hardware, it's not possible.

[ROM?] Can some one make a ROM or give me link for ICS ROM for Hero H5000

Hello everyone, I'm a new guys and i really need your help. Any help will be nice. I have some questions that I cant find the answer anywhere.
Here is my device:
http://www.mobile-phones.cn/hero-h5000-android-capacitive-touchscreen-phone-p-7221.html
And question I want to ask for help:
First is, as I looked at the CPU of those phone (which on the internet advertising), they have 2 core: MT6573 ARM11 650MHz + MT6162 ARM9 350MHz. I found that my device only have one chip MT6573, so what is the MT6212. I'm not sure that my device only works with 1 core and no other core stored inside my device, so whats is this MT6212? Or because up till now my OS only is 2.3.6 (cant find any ROM 4.0 ICS released for my phone) so it cant see the second core and only recognize the one which have faster speed????
Second is, after you guys helped me out by answer 2 questions above, can you help me to find out the latest ROM for this device. I already install a ROM, which developed by my country retailer, but it seems they stopped working to release the final version. Now my ROM is running with Android 2.3.6, can it upgrade to ICS 4.0, and is there any 4.0 ROM released for my device yet?
This is the link to download the ROM which I got in my phone right now. I swear it has no harm, no virus, no trojan and etc. The website is the legal one of my seller agent, you can follow the mediafire link I will post under there.
ROM 2.3.6: http://www.mediafire.com/?bm0eujcl68plk89

One more time thanks a lot for whom keep reading until now and it will be great if you can help me out.
Thank you 1000 times !!!!!!!!!
Sorry for my bad English!
Regard, me...
Now i found out myself thats my device is H5000 or H5300 (I myself didnt know whats the different).
But I'm still frustrated about the 2 core they said on the advertising. For the truth i searched throughout the internet and look at my device alone but I'm still sure that its is only 1 core. Any answer for this, plz?
And then, can you guys help me find the ROM for my phone. Thx a lot for that!!!

inew V7 MTK6582

Hi all. First of all i would just like to say that i very much appreciate all you guys do here, helping us noobs flash, upgrade and unbrick our phones
I have a rebranded inew V7 phone called NOA H4 in my country. I'm pleased with the phone. It's nicely built, robust, has plenty of storage, dual sim, ... One thing i miss is the led notification. But i can live with that.
Recently i got fed up with it's software, Android 4.4.2 and i started to look how i can change it. I found some guides and tried but no luck. I was only lucky not to brick my phone
I have some questions:
1. Is it at all possible to flash this phone so it has Android 5 (or 6)??
2. Are the Android 5 roms i found on the web real Android 5 or a modified Android 4?
3. If 1. and 2. are yes, will this http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/guide-how-to-port-lollipop-based-roms-t3223938 help me to do this by myself??
4. Is there someone who already did this and is willing to share :highfive: ( i found that some member "did this" but he has not given a link to download the rom thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/inew-v7-owners-thread-t3036891/page3)
Ty very much.
No one? :crying:
Hi there . I managed to get CM12 android 5.1 using Celuk from Turkdevs rom and recovery. I put a guide together with all files. PM if you want to give it ago . I will upload .

Update me please about roms and some tricks

Hi guys! My last phone was a lg g2, which I proudly owned for 4 years. So I have to update myself about news of the last phones. First of all, I hope there's a quickest way to unlock bootloader and root the phone nowadays. There's a tool that can do all the processes and make it simple (I always hated to do all the tasks in the old phones) ?
Then, which is the best rom at the moment? I'm looking for italian language, no bugs, a slim and quick one with long battery usage. Thanks!
sorry, I forgot to say that I have the snapdragon version. Can you help me please?

Missunderstanding phone's board processor.

Hi everyone from XDA, im new here.
Past a couple of days ago I've decided to learn how to port a Lineage OS to an unsupported device (ZTE Axon Mini), but reading Github and some forums like these I have found that I need to understand the kernel before doing such, the problem is the codename of this device doesn't exist as other phones from the same manufacturer like "Tulip" for example, this device had the codename the same way as the motherboard it uses (msm8916) the problem is when you try finding the motherboard of the device it shows you that it suitable for a Snapdragon 410, but this phone has 615 so Im quite confused because of this, could be that ZTE uses an old motherbard to solve phone cost? And because of that Im stuck because I don't know how to proceed. If someone could give some clue about this I'll be so much grateful.
Thanks so much to everyone that's could try solve this.
PD: (Also sorry for my english if you find something misspelled)

Oppo Rx17 Neo Development - A waste of time?

Hi, i'm the owner of an Oppo Rx17 neo, and the phone is really nice: Fingerprint sensor under screen, 128gb ROM, 4gb RAM... Overall a good phone, but the only problem is Color OS. I buyed this phone because i didn't knew about Color OS (My bad). Now i'm stuck with this phone for at least two or three years, there's no other choice but keep it. Knowing this, i want to develop a custom ROM for this phone, even if i have to learn from scratch, because i don't know anything about Android Development. I'm a web developer (PHP, JavaScript, a little bit of python and C#), but i don't know where to start this journey, because for what someone told me on a Telegram group, i need a custom recovery (Like TWRP i guess?), but i couldn't find anything about it on google (I searched for it on english, i don't know anything about russian or chinesse, i guess that could've help me a lot).
So, getting to the point: Could you help me to understand how to compile TWRP for my phone, or in first place, how to know if i can even unlock the bootloader. I have installed custom ROMS before, on an Galaxy S5 and a nexus 5x, but nothing further.
Can i have some help?
Anyone? Still looking for recommendations on where to start with this.
