Rom for x829 6.0.1 MM that actually plays pokemon go? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

hello, im new to the forums. I am looking for a rom that runs an early version of marshmallow that will play pokemon go. Ive tried a few roms but they come up with unsupported OS. Ive even tried using magisk and safetynet fix but i just get the same problem. Really frustrating. If anyone can give me a recommendation and simple instructions, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Just download the apk of pokemon go and install it. Thats it.

Stock Rom?

I don't think so. PKG is safetynet enabled, so rooting should automatically trip that.

Custom ROM basically makes this not an option. Try loading Magisk (make sure it's your Sole superuser manager) and implementing the Safetynet bypass. Otherwise, you have to re-lock your bootloader and ... I think, be running the base ROM that came with your phone.

so youre saying to go back to completely stock and lock the bootloader? normally that would be fine, but i made a backup with a password enabled and now when i reload my backup, the password doesnt work. so im kind of screwed there as well.

ROOT and ROMs support?

Hello there.
I'm thinking about buying this phone, but I'd like to know:
1. Is it possible to root the phone? I haven't found any info on xda, but there is something here --> http://en.miui.com/thread-215325-1-1.html Can someone confirm that it works?
2. What about ROMs? I see that most of the Xiaomi devices have some (mi3/4 even have official CM support), here the section is empty. Is it not possible to develop ROMs for this device, or is it just a matter of time?
3. Is the bootloader locked?

Built-in direct root access in a multilingual Vietnamese firmware Rom_Ti_ngVi_t_Xiaomi-Redmi3_MobileCity_v1a_Full_Unbrick . The firmware is flashing by MiFlash (it's in the zip), with locked bootloader. Su by Chainfire, with the SuperSU.
Is there a confirmed information that they are planning to release unlock tool (like they did for Mi4 --> http://en.miui.com/thread-202290-1-1.html)?

Yes. This firmware saves me when the system is on my phone falls in the experiments. How to flash is here to see (only drivers easier are put, without such problems).
Or you can put the firmware via adb-interface. So I put my localized and tweaked version.
With unlocked bootloader yet like no one - Xiaomi needs to receive the approval to unlock. A request for this here (Xiaomi account needs).
Hi Guys, anybody succeeded in rooting v7.2.4.0?, i also need to know if there is a way to make google play as default app store
Think we'll need the global rom with no Chinese app store installed for Google to be a default.
Think either miui or xiaomi.eu sites there is a rooted latest version.... Not sure though

Please don't delete the xiaomi play store. It will send your phone into a boot loop. Read the Xiaomi.eu threads before doing anything.

Android Pay don't work on stock

Hello.
I want to use Android Pay, but app showing me error, that Google cannot confirm software on my Z2.
I have stock ROM (prerooted MM, 23.5.A.1.291). I did full unroot in SuperSU settings but it still shows me that message.
My bootloader is blocked (once it was unlocked, but I did DRM keys backup and all fully working).
I don't want to flash stock with Flashtool (I will lose recovery).
What to do now?
Thanks for help.

If i good think, you cant have system-less root without change kernel. if you change the kernel, you cant have Android Pay. If you don't have root, you can't have Magiska... etc...

Is it known what exactly does Android Pay check? I have stock 6.0.1 and Pay is working fine for me. Now I'd like to flash LDAC mod to get better sound with wireless headphones (https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...-xperia-x-ldac-ahc-port-enjoy-hi-res-t3370105). This mod apparently just adds LDAC library into /system/lib and appends few parameters to /system/build.prop. Any opinions whether it could break Android Pay? Thx!

Root

I mean is there any possible way to root this device? I tried flashing SuperSU, didn't work. Then I tried flashing the systemmode SuperSU, got stuck in the bootloader warning text. I also tried some pre rooted Roms from the forum.. and they just won't boot. What am I missing here..??

Nougat could introduce more issues (e.g. Xposed doesn't work with Nougat as of today... Magisk & SuperSU... who knows?) but in theory steps should be the same...
More: this is unknown to most (and I don't have a clear explanation for it... only some hypothesis...) but even TWRP could have issues...
On another phone I've found (only one time to be honest... ) that an updated firmware required an updated TWRP to have it working (older one simply doesn't booted anymore even if reflashed...)

I don't like OTAs at all... I'll prefer going with flashing full images by fastboot (if stock images) or TWRP (if custom ROMs or zip flashable version of stock images...).
They are safer and cleaner than OTAs...

Are you able to restore all the changes you made to /system, to successfully install the next OTA-update?
Or you just reflash the whole stock image before the next ota?

Probably it could be possible to restore all as stock from my backups, but I will surely update (when I'll decide to...) using fastload or TWRP (depending of image formats...) as you said...

It triggers safetynet even without root so Magisk is here to be able to pass it.

I tried what you've requested.
Actually, its my first time installing international banking app, LOL
I installed two banking apps.
Barclay's app just hanged on title screen
And the app from Local bank work pretty well.
Now about the Barclay, is a known issue from rooted phones. I guess is doesn't work even i use Magisk Hide.
This is old version of Barclay's app 1.3.3 , the new update does not work on rooted or custom roms.

its not really a problem for me, was more surprised and wondered if it was just me or not.
Dont think Google would appreciate LG release a SW to user without approval, thats for sure not in the GMS contract (i would know I work at another OEM using Android)

Install magisk (but I guess you lready have since you're rooted) then there should be an add on for that.
Go have a look at the magisk forum section (it's not device specific) for the latest info. Have not done that recently so can't recommend a specific version
Fixed it xD
