i am new redmi note 4 user and want to unlock my boot loader. but i am facing an issue. when itry to unlock BT using unlock tool it stucks at 50% saying account is not matching to the devices account. well i have same account logged in both phone and unlock tool.
I tried each and every step in MIUI forums but still am in pond of failure.
please someone help me!!!!!!:crying::crying::crying:
Just try to search a relevant thread to your problem/question before creating another duplicate. There are many other with the same problem, and same threads.

Not only you, everyone faced this error. All you need to do is, download fly VPN app from Playstore and connect it, choose Shanghai server, now go to settings > developer setting > mi unlock status > try to bind your account. If you face any error, ignore it. Now wait few more days, do no try everyday, waiting 5 days or so, then try unlocking your bootloader.
Hello everyone, I need a huge hand. I formatted the redmi note 4 MTK but on rebooting I get stuck to a screen telling me that the phone locked because associated with a mi account, the problem is that accessing to unlock the device gives me that the password is wrong even if I'm sure be that. Accessing from mi.com with my data I can access easily and more I noticed that this account is mine is different from the one associated with the device. I tried to flash the rom rom, the global Rom, but nothing. Ah of course I do not have the bootloader unlocked ... heeelp! (Sorry for english)
Please help me actived the pocophone by bypassing the mi account:angel:
You can't. The whole idea of the account is also the protection of the phone. Reset your password.
if u unloked the phone simply use a non MIUI rom...
Oh man that happen to me once ( on my Xiaomi markw ) till now i cant get through it, even i submit unlock to i.mi.com get scan for invoice, locked code and the box imei still i cant unlock it, i request about 5th :crying:
Apparently I have bought Redmi 5 plus (MPEG7) which was locked with Mi Account or what. The phone works normally, but I cannot add my Xiaomi Account because it gives me some error I don´t remember now.
Tried to update the firmware manually, didn´t help. So I decided to do factory reset, and then, soon after the set up screen I connecet to wifi, my Xiaomi got locked. It says I need to sign in on account which was previously been there.
The guy who sold me this phone, aware me of this, I should not do factory reset because this will happen, but I thought If there is no Mi Account on this phone I am good to go.
Luckily I found local repair shop who helped me to revive this phone by bypassing Mi Account somehow. I can use it with my Gmail account and I still can´t add my Xiaomi Mi Account.
So here goes my question now, how much I can do about that here. Unlocking bootloader and installing custom recovery would help me here. But the thing is I can´t enter my Mi Account on my phone, so that means no unlocking bootloader for me, at least nothing officially.
So my questions goes. Is there any way to unlock bootloader without having MI Account on the phone?
And before I forgot, if I don´t unlock the bootloader, and the phone stay in the same condition, will my phone lock itself again after I update it to MIUI 11, once when the update is available?
For now it is on the latest MIUI available, 10.2 Stable, OEGMIXM

I have a problem similar to this. And I've been looking for some answers on that. With the current state of the device, I have how to unlock the bootloader, and then install a custom recovery and rom? So far I have not found any answer that is favorable to me. Other than paying for the service.

As far I have did some further research, unfortunately for us there is no solution to this. Basically the phone is connected with the Mi Cloud servers. As there is no alternative to unlock the bootloader, other than the official way, if in any case we got to sign in our account on the phone, the phone will lock itself eventually.
The only solution is the person who owned the phone have to remove the phone from the Mi Cloud service.
I hope at least we will get MIUI 11 and the update will not lock our device again.

Hello!
I am also getting help to solve the problem. But, it has been 25 days that after sending some photos of the device screens nothing happened regarding the unlock. That is, it remains blocked. I tried help from S-Unlock but showed no interest in solving the problem. I need to find another company or someone to unlock the device next to the server. Feel free to help me if you want.

My friend gave me his Poco F1 to use it but the issue here is that it has his old account which he didnt sign out of.The phone is completely reset and locked.To further use the phone i need to log in with his account. He doesnt remember the credentials that he used with that particular account (ph.no, password or ID).Im unable to do anything just stuck on the screen where it says "This device is locked".The Bootloader is locked too pretty much cant do anything.
Can anyone help me with this. How to get the phone working.
