I have had the Bolt now for over a month, and have not encountered anything you've mentioned.
Works just fine and as advertised.

LCD Replacement

Hey all,
I have recently acquired a razr with a busted LCD from a friend of mine. I have been looking around to find the best price for a replacement LCD and digitizer and it seems that everyone that carried it for under $200 is out of stock. Does anyone know a good place to order from?
i need to find it, because i broked mine today!
it felt from 50 cm with face down and the LCD broked!
i need to find a place that send to Brazil because I'm from Brazil
Anyone find a source yet???
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using xda app-developers app
All u guys can check at aliexpress.com they have it.
Sent from my XT910 using XDA Premium HD app
What about repairsuniverse.com, amazon or eBay?

You can get a working/dead phone with working LCD from ebay from 100 to 150 bucks, swap the screen and you still got all the spare parts to your razr if you ever need them for free. I don't see why would you spent 170-200 some bucks for just the screen which is probably not even original...
I've always had excellent luck with 'cnn.cn'. Sure it's a chinese company, but that's where the stuff is made anyway, so it makes sense to cut out the U.S. middle man.

I need to find only digitizer, but I want original. In aliexpres have only branded with verizon, is it posible to find clean, original without any brand? Does anyone know where to find it?
Repairing motorolas
Dude, i'm from Brazil too.
i'm sure you can find it on ebay..
On DealExtreme you can find the lcd for a cheap price, just search for xt910 or xt912 and you will find easily.

[Q] Search some information about galaxy 4, 4.2 and 5"

Hello,
I'm interested about buying an new MP3 player.
I am looking for one of the galaxy player.
For the moment we have 4" and 5".
I'm interested for the wifi and the GPS (will use a fly app) and so the battery.
Does the 5" run longer with his battery? Are they removable?
I see there is different version: US and international. Is there any advantage of one of this version (I need the french language)?
The new 4.2" is coming, it would be better I buy the new one instead of the 2 old?
Thanks

I'd recommend the Galaxy Player 5 over the 4 and 4.2-- The 4.2 really doesn't make any sense at all alongside a lower res camera (which is bad considering 3.2 was already low resolution lol).
I can't really say much about battery life comparisons, but the 5 has really good battery life, at least from what I've seen from using mine. The battery for the 5 IS NOT removable, but it's not a big deal.
The international has an actual center button, the US version has a touch button. Both should support French as a language.
So yeah, I'd say go for the Galaxy Player 5!
Also... poor French translation of what I said above below.
Thanks for the information.
Is the battery of the 5" removable?
When I say intereset of US or International is more like version, ROM...
So the 5" seems good. May be for the camera the 4.2" could do the same quality as the 5", I will wait for some test on the net.

I would honestly choose the 5'' over the 4.2'' in a heart-beat. But it all depends on what you want. If you want an amazing mini-tablet/mp3 player that still easily fits in your pocket... go for the 5''. If you want a smaller screen with a lower camera resolution, no flash, smaller battery, but still most of the same stuff... go with a 4.2''.
And you cannot remove the 5s battery, but there really isn't a reason too seeing as it lasts quite long and if you really you need a charger, wall-slots + USB ports are EVERYWHERE haha
As far as tests go... I don't think the 4.2'' will overpower the 5'' considering it's awkward angle update wise, it doesn't really change anything and honestly made no sense that they re-released something so close to the original 4'' in size. Then again, it is from the same minds that brought us the 3.6'' also.
So I will compare prices in US and EUROPE.
Because there seems to be no difference between this 2versions. Just the warrantly...
Thanks.
I earn more 40€ on the 5" model, instead of France

Moto G8 power UI BUG

I have this strange error on the screen of the mobile, as you can see in the first photo at the top you see transparent icons, and in the second photo at the bottom you can see part of the keyboard, I tried subtracting from the factory but the bug is still there.

is the ghost screen, that happens because you use very high brightness and you have the screen turned on for a long time

think it has no solution, because it is hardware, there was an application that was to fix a little ... googlea ghost screen and there you will say ... is quite common.
if you have little time with the celu, you can use the warranty
You cant write in spanish on xda, its part of the rules: Only englis. Sorry, im spain speaker too, but you can even be banned.

Chose between G8 Power or Fusion

Hi everyone. I'm gonna buy one of those phones. Are their's BL unlockeable? Rooteable? I like 128GB fusion's storage, but my doubt is about the screen resolution. Is that good enough for reading books or pdf? I'm not a gamer. I want a fast and a long battery phone.
Thanks!

I can't comment on the fusion but the G/8 Power has insanely good battery life. Phone is also running buttery smooth even being underclocked and running on only 4 cores. I work in a call center and pretty much have my screen on alllll day at work while I mess with it. Might drop 25-30% over 7 hours. I just got it last week and I am more than happy with my purchase.
Bootloader is unlockable and achieving root is quick and simple. Currently running HavocOS and absolutely loving this thing.

Yes, I like the idea of underclock for extreme saving battery. Is it possible to downgrade from 1080 to 720 for extra saving? I mean, in case of urgency. I'm really being convinced by the Full HD G8 power against the fusion. Cheers.

You can use shell commands to change the resolution or an app like DPI Changer from the Play Store, although I'm sure both methods require root. DPI Changer does, at least.
I'd definitely go with the HD screen. I was stuck between getting the G7 Power and the G/8 Power for the price difference and screen quality but am more than satisfied with my purchase.

Ok, but in my case, the fusion (HD) and the G8 power (Full HD) are at the same price. Any last advice? Are you happy with 720 screen? Edit. I'm confused... you purchased G8 power so you own a Full HD.

I've purchased the G8 power because of the screen.

It is true that the screen is HD, but you have better processor and better cameras so I was reading ... also something very important is the speed of internal memory, in the g8 power is eMMC and one fusion UFS 2.1. so the same in the g8 power motorcycle you have a little lag sometimes.
the excellent thing about the g8 power is the battery (which is the same in the fusion) and the stereo speakers which are great.

I'm gonna answer just in English.
Thanks for the answer. It was a hard decition, but I gave a lot of importance to the fear of regret of buying an HD+ display device. I don't play games, and I only use the camera occasionally, so those items doen't matter to me. Maybe the G8 power will feel slower than Fusion for daily use. I hope not. For the budget, those were my options and the Full HD display was a must have option. Take care. Cheers.
EDIT: I have 24 hs with the phone, and as you own the same would you give me tips for it? Did you installed GCam?
The first thing I did was enter developer mode and disabled all the animations and disabled the vibration response of keyborad. Now it feels faster. And of course, changed the wallpaper to just black .

Would you provide me unlock and root guide? It's quite confusing. I don't find G8 Power branch forum.
And what app do you use for cpu speed control?
Thanks!

zoom s21 2.9X 3.0X

Good evening, when I make a video, if I zoom to 2.9X the image as in the video, the SEAC writing is not clear, if I set the zoom to 3.0X it becomes clear, why? the video attached below, to notice the problem you have to set HD on youtube, thank you very much and have a nice day

I understand that this is normal. That up until 3x, the main sensor is being used digitally. At exactly 3x, it switches to the 64mp lens, which is designed for giving us better close ups (I know it is just a crop but creates a clear zoom effect).

The same was the case for other devices I owned. Non Samsung ones. At least two of them did that. And you're right. If the older model could reduce this effect better, using the same hardware, then this newer model should be able to mask this effect even better. It doesn't bother me much but I guess people want that polished finish in the software too.
subhani said:

thanks for the answer, I thought it was a hardware defect so I understand that it is not, and is therefore a characteristic of the smartphone
