You actually can not I think.
You first have to go to android 6 first for a quick stop.

Why you want to downgrade...
6.0.1 is amazing rom
Root it and install adaway..
You can use twrp also....
stock 6.0.1 is best rom available...
Rooting this rom is only possible by SuperSU-v262-3-20151211162651.zip
https://www.dropbox.com/s/14m95lkfz4...62651.zip?dl=0
After this you can update SuperSu from Playstore
Adaway ver 3.1.1 works on this 6.0 Rom...
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635999932
I am also using my 64gb SD Card as internal memory with feature of adaptive memory in this rom... That's amazing...
i want to use lollipop prefer marshmallow and the marshmallow get too much ram to work, i just have ~50mb ram free
Bro Check your Android Version it would be 6.0 not 6.0.1 as no one officially got 6.0.1 from Motorola, On 4G LTE SURNIA

No i mean the exact device with another branding
for example
Blu vivo 5 (in US and latin america) = Gionee s6 (in nigeria ,india , and china) = Condor A55 Slim (algeria and tunisia) = walton primo *** (in bengladesh) = qmobile z12 (in Pakistan)
So it is the same device , but in every region it is commercialized under a specific branding, and because regions aren't same , you will find one deffirence which is the base band, so if you flash blu vivo 5 with indian gionee s6 firmware you will get "no network/ no sim cards" , that's the only deffirence
Blu vivo xl is gionee s plus , condor p8 ...check our facebook page we have roms for it ported by me
On blu vivo 5:
To get sim cards working delete these folders from the patch, inside system/:
etc/firmware/
etc/mddb/
then paste the firmware and mddb folders of your stock marshmallow rom to the patch and flash it.

Should I delete the folders off the phone after flashing, or remove from the zip file? If I need to remove from a zip file, which one? I need to read a bit more.
Also, do you extract the contents of the patch zip file and put it in the rom zip or do I flash both?
Lastly, will it work if I flash from Lollipop stock directly to Nougat or do I need to use this guide to upgrade to Marshmallow first?

The easiest way is to flash the rom , and once it finishes flash the patch.
For advanced users , copy system and boot from patch and paste them in the rom ( replace when you ask to), then go to etc/ in the rom and delete firmware and mddb folders, and paste your firmware and mddb folder , now you have a rom for blu vivo 5 , flash only that rom and you(re ready to go ...
if you're on lollipop , you need to flash marshmallow firmware to besure that the rom works fine , i'm not surethat it will work directly on top of lollipop

Well. I've already followed this tutorial to get Marshmallow stock on my phone and will soon have your ViperOS installed. I have also flashed your TWRP. I'm just waiting on the ROM to download.
My internet has been acting up all day.
Wipe anything?
When flashing through TWRP, should I wipe anything from the device?
Should I wipe the Dalvik/Cache after flashing?
I'm currently making final changes.

For other ROM, I make a Factory Reset, flashed the ROM and rebooted into recovery again. Now I flashed the patch for VIVO 5

Thank you.
I bootloop after flashing.
After flashing the ROM, followed by the patch for my BLU Vivo 5, I reboot.
I am greeted with the BLU logo then it bootloops back after a black screen. I am currently reverting back to stock 6.0.
What am I doing wrong?
I flashed w/o the patch, still bootlooped.
Wiped after flashing, still bootloops.
The issue is obviously in the ROM itself..
i don't know the reason why , other roms worked very well ?, i mean only this bootlooped ?
this is weird ..are you sure you installed it the right way ? and what's the previous firmware version installed

After bootlooping, I tried to install Resurrection Remix. I bootlooped on that too.
I fixed it on RR though and the same issue was probably present here.
I used ES File Explorer to copy the mmdb and the firmware folders.
The issue was that the copied files were not complete or corrupted
After using a different root explorer and copying the files, I gone to TWRP and copied the files. Now I have the complete/non-corrupted mmdb and firmware folders.
I'm sure this fix works on ViperOS as well. It was 100% my error and not at all to do with you.
I assumed since I tried to use w/o flashing the patch that the ROM was messed up, but when vgeohn mentioned on your RR post that it bootloops w/o flashing the patch. I found that was the issue.
One question. I am currently running the out-of-date version of RR. Should I flash the updated ViperOS or keep RR? I want your recommendation.
And how do I update RR? Do I need to wipe then flash, or is there another way to flash? I prefer to not have to re-download all my apps.
i think you should stay on viper it is more fast and smooth
by the way here is a zip so you can flash mddb and firmware using twrp, just put your mddb and firmware in the etc folder of the zip
and flash it after every rom
here is the zip --> Download
if you can reapload it so people can use it directly

Does the mmdb and firmware folder only define the besebands or is my IMEI in there? I don't want that getting loose.
And that patch is universal for all of your roms that are recent? (RR, XOSP, Lineage, AOSP Extended)
And to upgrade do I have to wipe my apps or is there a way to keep them?
Bug report for RR (the original, but any updates):
Photoscan by google is not working. Just try, it's hard to explain
Google camera does not work if you are using a version that requires Android 7.0 or 7.1.
On google camera for Android 6.0, the video recording does not work at all. It crashes instantly.

After flashing the ROM, flash your patch.
You can just boot up and use your phone from there, but to get safetynet and some more gaaps, I personally flashed Gapps aroma with a config to not get useless apps. Then, I flashed the latest Magisk beta and a safetynet patch.
