Remove Lock Screen Completely - Honor 9 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I'm looking for some help with removing the Honor 9 lock screen completely.
I've turned off password etc but still have the "slide to unlock" screen on without any security. I don't want this screen at all.
There is an option in developer options that says "Screen Lock" thats enabled and greyed out, I can't turn this off. Under it, it says "disabled by administrator encryption policy or credential storage". I have tried clearing credentials, turning phone on/off etc as instructed online but no look.
I really want rid of the lock screen altogether.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

сделайте сброс на заводские установки и пункт в разделе разработчиков станет активным.

I tried that but it made no difference, the option was still greyed out.

I still need help with this. The option in developer options is greyed out. How can I gain access to this to disable the lock screen?

I had the same problem and I solved it. Make "Settings" "Advanced Settings" "Backup and Restore" "Cancel All Settings"

By default the Honor 9 encrypts all your user data when you set it up out the box. It is now a standard feature of EMUI since version 5

We have the same problem, and non of the tips worked.... We have tried to cancel all settings in backup and restore, but that didn't help either...
What else can we do?
Thanks ?

I used this tutorial once on Honor 7

How do I change from Pin lock to Pattern lock?

Yes, I searched the forums.
No, I did not find a solution.
I want to change from pin to pattern but there's nothing in settings that lets me do this. I cant even change form pin to pin. is there a bug or did I have a brain fart?
I don't want to factory restore just to set up a new method of locking my device but I will if I absolutely have to.
thnx

Bro, just scroll up on that screen(Location & Security) and you would see a Lock Screen tab with "Configure lock screen"

which version of android you have? i have Overcome 2.1.1 (android 3.2) it has the pattern lock.
setting -> location and security -> lock screen > configure lock screen.
From your screen shot, i see that "lock screen" section is missing

I have Honeycomb v3.2 If I restore my device to factory default I will have the option to use pin or pattern but that's too much work to do just to change my locking method.'
Anybody know why I don't have it? my device is rooted but so is my Galaxy S II and I don't have any issues.

I need to find a "ghost" notification

I just upgraded from an LG G4 to a G6. I set the phone up as a new device and did not do a restore from the G4 or from any other device. I installed my apps one-by-one.
Just recently, the phone started playing the default notification sound and I am unable to determine what app might be triggering the sound. Is there any way to determine what app is triggering the notification? Is there a log somewhere?
The attached file is a screen shot of my notification shade.

Hello
as a first step i would recommend a cache cleaning:
From the home screen, tap Apps.
Tap Settings
Tap Storage
Under device storage tap Internal storage
Wait for the menu options to finish calculating
Tap Cached data > clear
Wait for the cached data to clear; depending on size, it will take several seconds to complete.
Reboot device
=============================================================
Goto settings > accessibility > Turn off notification reminder. -if enabled-

Hangouts and Gmail are reported to cause this problem please check your gmail inbox incase there are new messages coming to you each time this happens as well as Hangouts if you are using it.
I suspect it's something to do with "location services" "... we've located you...."

Developer option greyed out

I'm trying to remove some bloatware from my Nord N10 5G, but am unable to use ADB as the build number is greyed out. I clicked the OS number 10 times and it brought up a Pic of a dial (Easter egg I suppose), but I don't know how to set it or if it's connected to enabling developer options. I ran some Google searches, but no luck. Thoughts?

Late response but better late than never. Go to >> Settings >>> About Phone >>> then tap on Build Number several times, after which it will enable Developer Options. Once enabled go to >> Settings >> System >> Developer Options, and the OEM unlocking rocker will be visible.
Edit (small screen, bad eyes): Never mind, I see that you mention build number is greyed out.
I can't click the build number as it's greyed out. Never seen this before...

Has nobody else encountered this?
One step back and click the build number there.
Good call. Clicked "software version" 7 times and that did the trick. Thanks!

Probably someone tried to root it and made RMM to change to prenormal. Have you tried checking if RMM/KG is showing prenormal in Download mode?

I'm trying to root it
Can i fix this problem );
Yes, typically the RMM resets after 7 days. There might be a quick fix which I am unsure of, so keep digging on xda.

I just got the Edge Plus (named that here in the US) Same phone as this, and mine is like this too, brand new out of the box like this.
Having the same issue, greyed out OEM unlock button.
Brand new, out of bocx.
Also when I go to the motorola site, it says not eligible to be unlocked, which is bizzare. Its fully unlocked!
My guess is it takes some time for the button to not be grey, according to what I read here.
Still need to try to get the code though from the moto site.
Fairly confident the Oem unlock button will be active in a few days.
Does anyone button greyed out get the Oem unlock code? I can't get that. Fully unlocked device.
ok was able to get the motorola unlock code, about 24 hours after I got the phone. Still, cant get the OEM unlock to toggle. Tried multiple reset options and nothing worked (sim, no sim, wifi, no wifi).
Did a factory reset and it worked!

Question Soft rebooting

My unlocked s23 ultra on Verizon keeps doing what I call a 'soft reboot'. What I mean by this, is all connections drop (Bluetooth, wiif, calls, etc.) all notifications are removed, and I have to unlock my phone as if it was just rebooted or turned on (pin required). It takes only 10ish seconds, so it is not a hard reboot, and my adb settings stay turned on (used for Tasker). Are there logs I cam review (Tasker's shows nothing) or some tool to track what is causing this?
i think every 72 hours you have to enter your pin again for security reasons, if it gets stolen or something.
If thats the case its not a soft reboot it just requires you to enter your pin again.

Thank you, but what I am experiencing clears all open apps, closes all open radios (phone, Bluetooth, wifi, etc), clears all notifications, stops any of my running widgets (like a weather notification and a traffic analyzer) and the password screen indicates I have to enter my password at boot up (or something similar, I can try and get a picture)
Is "Restart when needed" option activated in Device care -> Auto optimisation?
Try in safe mode. If it doesn't happen then there's an app causing the issue. If it happens contact Samsung support
